Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I love the experience of this game be it 1- 79 or post 80
It is a fun game
Enjoy OP!
I like the 80 experience as much or more than then 1-79 experience.
The 1-79 experience in this game is awesome….
level 80 experience ain’t that bad.
i’m looking forward to new content every 2 weeks.
I don’t know if it was intended, but I can see it as well.
Very cool find!
Just wanted to say that I am sad that they are town clothes… oh so sad
They even look like armor
He’s harmless when he’s in his cage. Go over and give him a hug, or take a nice warm shower underneath him.
Logged on to an empty Tequatl… AGAIN, he has never been completed on my server… He looked so sad just standing there doing nothing as his timer counted down… Actually looked like he was in a cage.
Everything said till now has been noted and much appreciated. This thread i think turned out to be informative also for other new players or people wondering whether or not to buy the game.
I gotta say this feels kinda strange. The community in this game is somewhat different than in other games i have been involved in,including mmos.Everyone is kinda helpful ,much more than other games,as opposed to just a few people trying to help out a newb.(me not being one of them :P )Not sure what the reason for this is but it is pleasant to observe.
The ongoing mood and atmosphere among players ,here in this thread ,the whole forum and game itself is kinda positive and natural(if you think people hating the game or trolling here are a big deal, you have seen nothing-take it from some1 that has beein a part of the bandwagon of flamers and trolls for years).
Maybe it’s the nature of the game that attracts certain kinds of people or because of the nature of the game the same people behave the way they do,maybe i am overidealizing my new mmorpg of choice ,not sure what is the reason.
I have started a couple of hours after the creation of the original post on a server and i am level 8(Thief) at the time of this post’s making. I wanted to make this update since i am getting PMs from people wanting me to roll on their server and to level with me to show me ropes and join their guild, ect.
Again all the help is appreciated and i am having a blast in the game. This is going to be my next big time sink. :P

I am a relatively new player, been playing for about 3 months. My biggest piece of advice for your first time is stick to one character. It is so much better, you can get to grips with the game and learn the mechanics of both your character and the world around you. After I reached 80 on my Warrior, I stayed playing him for another month before even starting an alt.
If you want a few levels quickly, I suggest starting up crafting or more specifically, cooking. Cooking is the cheapest and fastest craft to level, but seeing your characters I would also recommend looking at Weaponsmithing. Warrior uses Sword, Axe, Greatsword, Spear, Shield and Mace which all can be made in Weaponsmithing. Also, unless you use the dreaded ‘double bearbow’ you will also benefit from it on your Ranger.
If you are having problems soloing zones on your Warrior, I think something is wrong. But as an all-round tip, if you are struggling to survive in zones, increase your characters Vitality/Toughness. This means by looking for gear with these stats, or putting a few trait points in either slots (Warrior is Tactics and Defence).
Have you open from Dredgehaunt Cliffs that Forsaken Halls? There is not PoI in there, but it is area what you need to open. You can open it by doing mini dungeon Forsaken Fortune.
Worth noting that you don’t actually have to complete the dungeon – Just go to the door at wyrmblood lake, get the message, go back to talk to Gervin at the homestead on Snowslide ravine, read his books, talk to him, then you have to escort him back to the dwarven door, at which point you will be able to enter the instance. I simply entered and left to get the exploration credit.

We do not complete hearts on this tour but we will uncover them for you to finish later on your own time. I don’t stop for events but I do stop for bosses. I don’t stop for nodes but will stop for farms and rich/rare nodes if folks call them out as they see them. Keep an eye on your map for POIs cause they can be easy to miss sometimes. Double check to make sure you completed the skill challenge before we move along. And lastly, please be patient with yourself and others at vistas that require jumping skills. Mesmer help is appreciated!
Hope to see you there!

Games that use a free+sub model generally have to heavily favor the sub model in order to get people to do it leaving the free players in the dust . Such models are always a bad idea because of that so i am very much against this idea .
Why pay monthly when you can farm gold and get it? A minority will pay but will it cover the fee of creating the system ? Is it worth the time and effort ? You don’t need that much transmutation, you can get a permanent face changer with gold, unlimited harvest tool is on sale for 800gems only… and how long will you pay 14/month for not that much advantages ? With the actual economic situation, most people won’t. And if you want to support them, buy yourself every month 14 $ worth of gems.
From time to time I give in 8 $.

This has been in game for ages, but nobody cares/wants them/uses them.

Yea i too agree with the idea of a title for doing the JP.
As a suggestion, it would be nice if there were a title for those who have completed all jumping puzzles. There are titles for things less challenging, such as Combat Healer.
There was option to wear costume in gw1 above armor (you had visual costume skin and you was defended by your armor) it should work here to !
Agree with OP completely – was extremely disappointed that the new Executioners costume (which is awesome btw ANET, great job!) should be wearable in the open world.
Yep. Very cool skin. But if I can only wear it out of combat I won’t buy it.
I will just stare at people in town wearing that skin.
With the release of the Executioner’s Outfit and the Bloody Prince’s Outfit in the Gem store I have realised just how much I miss the way costumes worked in Guild Wars 1. And from what I’ve seen, so do other players.
So that’s my suggestion, short, simple and sweet. Please let us wear the awesome Town Clothes costumes as armour. You’d probably find you sold more of the outfits on the gem store that way, too. So it’s a win-win for everyone really.
they should really consider adding it, missing such a basic feature as this… a year on from release…

Forever together, or not at all.
This happens to me all the time, as well. Also, I will view a page for the first time, and some posts will already have the +1 box greyed-out. I’ve learned to just ignore the little red or grey boxes, as they seem to have a mind of their own. =(
Yes! I’ve had that happen as well.
I would “+1” your post, but… you know… See thread title.

Just go to gw2nodes. Next, find the server that has the shortest/easiest run. Guest to that server and profit. Rinse/repeat w/each reset. It’s 2013, ain’t nobody got time for treasure hunting!
Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Hey at least their nodes are dynamic and ever changing in stark contrast to their dynamic events that are stuck in a endles loop.
Moving nodes keeps the game from being a farm run. God forbid you have to find the expensive crafting materials that you’re just going to flip on the TP after you run all your alts. Sorry for the jaded tone but I’m sick of hearing everyone whine about having to work for stuff.

At 50, I would rather be in your top end zone than any other. I started pencil and paper gaming with D&D1, and have not stopped since. This game is a direct descendent of those ancient games. It retains the social aspect, and my guild is 5 close knit, yet independent players. We have some other casuals, but it is usually just us.
We enjoy talking as we do our own thing or getting together for something challenging.
Looking at LA chat, and the sorts of guild tags I see around I do wonder if it’s not the other way around..
