it may be news to you, but the event fails if he isn’t killed in 15min. People will adapt

Yeah and you could fail the Clockwork Invasion if you didn’t kill Scarlet’s waves in 40-45 minutes but that didn’t stop folks from failing just as often as winning till the very end.

The problem with the Clockwork Invasion that caused so many failures was that people eventually stopped caring about killing Scarlet and just wanted to farm champions. Once the aetherblade waves spawned you could get 6-7 Champions easily each aetherblade spot. This meant that huge zergs formed on a couple events rather than several small groups going after events separately.

If Tequatl is the only real objective then hopefully people will contribute. If it’s only 15 minutes or less then certainly that’s not too much for people?

I’ve had this happen before. I got random gold in the mail. I thought about reporting it, but instead messaged them back asking about it. Apparently my name was “Sahdi” and their friends name was “Sahde” and he misspelled. So I returned it.

Same thing happened with a bunch of cookies to another character of mine. I think it’s pretty common. I’d like to see them add the ability to “autofill” people who are in your friends list. Or have a dropdown with you rfriends in it so you can select them. Since mistakes like this are so easy to make and rely heavily on the persons honesty.

THANKS Anet just Thanks!!

We read all the threads – including this one. Thanks for making the effort and taking the time OP!

P.S. Your english, while broken up a little bit, was still perfectly fine. I think I understand all the points you were making. It’s better than my rusty-kitten Japanese, so kudos to you for making the post!

A couple of points. We are going to move more and more towards trying to increase the rewards in the rank up chests. As for the lack of rewards for defending, it is really a limitation of the way the content currently exists. We are working on solutions to it, but we always face the problem that making a major change to existing, working content is very dangerous and has to have a very long test time. Defending is super simple to get credit for right now, and because of that it’s difficult for us to put a serious amount of rewards on it. If we did, it would incentivize people to stand around, repair a wall for a second or two, then jet off. Until we fix the way that content determines who deserves rewards, we can’t bump the rewards as much as we’d like to.

We absolutely agree that defending is not rewarded well enough and we will address it when we have the best solution.

Also, we want to be more transparent with balance, so we’re going to be posting a list of the things that we’re working on now, so that you guys can see balance changes earlier than usual.

I’ll post that in a bit, hopefully today.

Doing so would invalidate the time people spend acquiring that gear. I think the heart of your post is in the right place, but what we would rather do is make possible for people to get the gear by playing WvW with a sprinkling of PvE, rather than the other way around.

Very confused? Why is this happened?

Greetings

I logged into the game today and everything was working fine, I lost connection once but thought nothing of it because it happens sometimes when my internet poops out.. Anyways I got disconnected and when I attempted to relog I got a message that said :I’ve been suspended for 71 hour(s). I’m very confused to this only because I was fine to play 2 days ago, and for the past 2 days I haven’t played since I was over at a friends. And it actually aggravates me because I don’t say things that are out of line, and I know what I can and cannot say. Not to mention I haven’t played for the two days before I was suspended.. I love this game with a passion but I do not understand this at all, Because of the main reason in options it lists Curse Filter Which will block things if you do not wish to see them. (I’m not saying I say anything, because I don’t) It’s just I do not understand this at all.

-Thank you for your time
Please respond

ONE MORE TIME: The Name and Word Filter is not a license to swear. We have it in place so players can try to protect themselves from offensive language, but having it in the game does not mean that you can breach the UA or the RoC.

You used offensive language — oh yes, you did! -- and earned yourself a time out.

In the future, be more respectful of other players and resist the impulse to swear. The game will be a better place for your restraint, and you will not need to serve a suspension if you use good judgment. Thank you for understanding.

Each account is separate and multiple accounts cannot be linked or merged. You can use the same downloaded content, but you would need to log out and log in to the separate accounts, with different serial codes, etc. The only linking would be between a Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 account.

I hope that answers your question.

Speaking as someone with a perfectly nice guild, I’d have to say the attitude of OP and the way he’s treating this discussion by completely ignoring people simply trying to help him makes it pretty clear that it has not been his previous guild’s fault that he was unhappy with group play…

The hilarious irony of this thread is that when SAB was announced to come back i thought “now all those people on the boards who constantly kitten that there is no solo content will finally be placated with an update that is more solo than group oriented”.

LMAO. I guess some people cannot be pleased.

I imagine that if Anet sent certain posters on these boards a suitcase full of thousand dollar bills, they would kitten and moan about the color of the suitcase.

This thread makes me wish Anet would put ‘suggested: 5 players’ nest to the post button.

You need 5 players to access the forum.

SAB is soloable. World 2 might be a pain by yourself if you’re not good with jumping, though.

I’m great at jumping but I can’t go in SAB. Whether it’s soloable or not is meaningless. As long as it states ‘suggested: 5 players’, it’s group content. I don’t group.

There is solo content in this release – all of it is solo content to be precise. If you decide to ignore it that is your choice.

If you arent aware of the implications of your choice to ignore said content based on a technicality and your subsequent choice to complain about it on a forum you might want to consult a doctor about possible neural disorders. If you are aware of it you are trolling.

Well, I tried it. I made it to King Toad, wasted my supply of twenty-something continue coins and logged out. Whomever states that SAB is solo content is out of their gourd. No offense but it’s true. Now, if you will excuse me I must go out and purchase a new keyboard as King Toad has left mine missing a few function keys.

King Toad’s health is 5 times less when soloing. If anything, it is faster to solo him because you don’t have to watch your teammates get knocked around and fail at dps. I have killed him both solo and in a group of 5 and solo was faster, but the group was more hilarious.

No to jab, but if you really used 20 continue coins on King Toad then maybe you need some guidance. What’s wrong with joining a nice guild of friendly people to show you the ropes? “I don’t group”…ok but why not?

I know that I would not and can not improve as much and as fast without my guildies. I try to reciprocate where I can.

Its not solo’able as far as i can tell..you need to all get to the gates before they open 4/5 at the gate…its not opening. When your solo this changes? I would be surprised and actually quite happy about that.

When you’re by yourself only one err key? on the checkpoint will light up. So yea it changes depending on how many people entered the instance.

The King Toad can be difficult the first time around. Watch his eyes, they’ll tell you where his next attack will come from. Once you know when to dodge, it’s all a matter of attacking the jewel, picking up the pieces and throwing them into his mouth when it’s open.

Anyway. I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but really the only benefit to being in a group for SAB is to have them carry you through checkpoints. Maybe you should use guides next time if you’re unsure of what to do.

Well then maybe sab isn’t for you, that’s all.
Heck, there’s is even a DEV answer about that issue. He said the dungeon text was standard text they use and they will address the issue eventually.

SAB IS solo content. you don’t need a team.
Actually, King toad is harder with a team as it has more life and takes more time. You have to learn the mechanics, your teammates would be of no help.

What an … intriguing thread.

I had no idea that Playhouse and SAB (yes, I was here in April) was soloable. After reading this thread, I will probably have a go at it.

OP – I see you getting a lot of stick on here, and I see a lot of people feeling obligated to jump on the bandwagon and have a go at you. Personally, I think you may as well put aside your current feelings and have a go at SAB. What’s the worst that could happen?

2 options: try it, solo it, enjoy it or never even think about giving it a try and guarantee missing out on content.

The conclusion I reach is that you only have yourself to blame for not trying after reading the testimonials of people proclaiming SAB as soloable.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

However, it takes pedantry to a whole new level. It’s like refusing to walk out an “exit” because it was mistakenly marked as an “entrance” or use an obviously working elevator because it was marked as “out of order”.

This pretty much sums up the OP, unfreakingbelievable…

Obvious troll is obvious.

It’s not trolling. For crying out loud this release directs everyone into a 5 man dungeon. All of the achievements take place inside that 5 man dungeon. I don’t do 5 man dungeons. Where is the solo content in this release? Oh right, there isn’t any solo content in this release. So players like myself may as well not even log on for the next month.

I’m angry and I’m expressing my honest opinion. Since when did that become ‘trolling’?

Since the moment you were told SAB is totally soloable, as was the playhouse. Neither of them require any special builds or skills and the playhouse actually got harder and slower to clear in a group, most cases.

The fact you choose to ignore these advice tells me you’re trolling.

If you want to express your concerns of Arenanet flagging solo content as group content, there’s a whole different way of doing that than whining that there is no solo content, when there is.

Just a minute. Is this a troll thread? It looks like a troll thread.

Again, SAB is meant both for solo players and groups. Believe us. We are telling the truth. The suggestion is just a suggestion, nothing else. A group is not needed. You can go solo. You already missed a cool instance (the Playhouse) and you are going to miss the SAB too if you refuse to listen to the other players.
