Yeah, ouch. Well, I sure hope that that double damage to death shroud was really fixed, because you just really hit us kitten our signature ability. They really need to slow down the DS degen inside deathshroud, but let’s see if this “buff” is actually a change or even godkitten noticeable.

I don’t know what anet is thinking anymore. Looks like 30,20,0,0,20 or 30/20/20/0/0 are the only good condi builds now, rest is all about going power, which depends on axe (great axe 1) and dagger. No cleave… again.

ANET if you can fix one godkitten thing, ALLOW US TO BE ABLE TO REGEN HEALTH IN DEATHSHROUD kitten , and you will actually increase our sustain without creating some stupid new OP healing ability. wake up and see logic

Are you people really underestimating the utility of jumping off really high cliffs?

As a thief I would kill to be able to jump from the top of a cliff to escape. At least you still got your spectral walk to do that…

Besides, are you really whining about your survivability nerfs? I mean you were almost tankier than a guardian…I don’t think that was meant to happen. So I would these changes will be good to equalize the OP class (necro) back to fair levels.

I don’t even know what to say to you people.

Those of you saying these nerfs weren’t precedented are stupid.

This has been a month coming and a lot people don’t think this is enough.

We shall see, but those of you complaining that “omg necros are terrible look at these nerfs we were finally awesome QQQQQQQ”

Only mesmers taking signet of domination were interrupt mesmers. Bunker guards were not buffed other than symbols, which is an uncommon dps build.

Seriously. Get a grip.

You are missing the forest for the trees. Read… They are nerfing things they should buff, and buffing things they should leave alone (see time before burning). Necro didn’t need massive damage spikes, it needed sustain, and reliable healing, if it is going to continue to be forced to live without vigor.

Since life force gain now has a 1s CD, they actually reduced our survivability vs multiple… instead of increasing it. Necromancer is the best class to be focus fired… not it’s beyond the best class to be focus fired…

I officially quit necromancer PvP, it’s just not worth it… i’ve done high end PvP the past few days, and i’ve seen my fair share of unfairness…

Stun stun stun stun cleans cleans cleans and even so he couldn’t kill me… MY TURN !… oh wait… charge leap rush byebye…

Easiest class to stomp, easiest class to focus fire… any other class in the game has the ability to resist focus fire + break combat except for us.

PvP necromancer is dead to me.

When are Anet going to fix these balance issues? How is it even possible after all this time that thieves and ele’s have more survivability than guardians but seem to keep damage, speed, cc, crazy boons and heals on top of it aswell? Don’t even get me started on constant stealth and spam to win broken initiative…

Shouldn’t it be if you build yourself for crazy survivability you sacrifice damage or other parts of other builds? How is it they seem to just do everything above average with crazy survivability?

Then of course after forever fighting them if they start losing just cloak, ride the lighting, mist away….no risk…

So they don’t even have risk or have to commit to the fight can leave it whenever they like with no issue…unlike other classes.

So how can Anet call this balanced? Anet sucked at balance for years in GW1 and one of the reasons they gave for having crappy number of skills in gw2 and no secondary profession mechanics was because it made it easier to balance….

Well I think that ended up being completely wrong because Anet is still sucking at balance now for 12 months in gw2 as well….

I agree that Evon is the logical choice given the points you have said.

However, one thing politics have told me is that you never get what was promised, and even if you do, there are often a 100 other hidden and unwanted changes that pop up after the election. Evon seems like one heck of a shady character and I don’t trust him.

Which is exactly why you should trust him. What politician has ever been trustworthy? They’re all liars who will sell you out at the first chance. With Evon, he doesn’t hide this. Which makes him the more honest of the two candidates. You know exactly where you stand with Evon (which should be face-to-face so it won’t be so easy to be stabbed in the back).

Evon’s motivation is profit. Profit comes from keeping markets open with goods, services, and coins freely exchanging hands. As long as his pockets remain lined with gold, he doesn’t really care what anyone else does.

Kiel, on the other hand, puts on a nice facade. However, she’s got serious control issues. Ever listen to some of her dialogue? Give her power and watch the Lionguard transformed into the White Mantle Version 2.0. She would institute more restrictions; all in the name of greater security, of course.

The choice is clear. Vote for the candidate you can trust to be untrustworthy. Vote Evon Gnashblade!

I honestly have no clue why this hasn’t been implemented yet.

Thieves scream “L2P!” when you can’t avoid their 8k backstabs. Why don’t they get revealed when I tactically block their attack? They are able to spam backstab with zero consequence until my shield stance runs out causing the backstab to land.

The same thing occurs with mace’s counterblow or offhand sword’s reposte. You time it perfect, block his backstab, he doesn’t get revealed, and then he instantly hits you again with the backstab.

If someone has aegis, the thief can strip it by backstabbing and not being revealed, then just backstabbing again. Why?

There is ZERO argument against implementing reveal on block. The only one I would be “I don’t want to think about what I’m doing as a thief. I just want to spam my number 1 until it lands.”

Thoughts?

No rezzing feels a bit extreme. Everyone dies because of stupid stuff occasionally.

Possible as a guild buff though, since it won’t be everywhere:
Whoops I fell off a cliff, got killed by a roamer before you got here, wolf killed me while I was on the toilet/phone,….
Without it it would only encourage zerging, since it’s less likely to die because of above stuff.

What about stuff like:
No rezzing from death while in combat
-Speaks for itself
Something like max 1 or 2 people ‘rezzing’ at a time from downed
-instarez faster than stomp yay
Only max 3-5 rallies per death?
-Lol rallied a zerg
A longer time on downed penalty(now 1 minute? What about 5?)
-Getting downed in a zerg, dw 30 people will stack on me to rez
Less ticks for a downed penalty until insta-death (now 4? What about 2 or 3?)
-See above

It’d help avoid the some of the stupid stuff happening with big zergs, but still leave the mechanics in place in case of stupid/random/unlucky deaths or for well-timed rallies.

Do you really need an explanation?

A large group of people, lets say 50 fight against 10 guys in a tower and those 10 guys manage to kill 20 assaulters even if they loose the tower they did manage to delay the enemy to take the next tower,

Now the assaulters needs to regroup at “x” point and wait for the casualties to respawn at the main base and regroup with the rest of the zerg,

This would encourage defend a tower to the bitter end instead of running, and will encourage the assaulters to be more strategic,

Don’t talk to me about toughness and vitality, damage avoidance is all in this game

Apparently you’re being held hostage to being the public face of WvW decisions. This may or may not be true, but it does reek of someone more senior copping out.

Here’s the thing though.. You’re doing a fine job of at least talking to the WvW community, and for the first 6 months after the release, that’s more then we ever got any attention from. I think the new WvW traits are working out just fine (except for copping out to the AC complaints.. The meta game was adjusting just fine but then you still caved and nerfed it).

With that aside, I’m now stuck with what will no undoubtedly seem like a whinging thread. I’ve been playing since day 1, and until recently when it came to WvW, it’s felt that I’ve had certain parts of my male anatomy slapped into a vice, and then had the handle cranked over to ‘tear inducing’. That’s right, I play on a server that is outwomanned in it’s ‘night crew’ timezone. Funny thing is, is that when I play, it’s already night, locally.

I am an Oceanic.

I am an Oceanic that didn’t join the ‘unofficial’ oceanic server. On purpose.

I am an Oceanic that after most match ups, wonders if there is something broke about the whole outwomanned mechanic. Not because I think it’s OP, but instead because I think it’s broken, as I watch 10 active players, and 20 inactive players at the forges get rolled by 40+

I’ll get back to that… after all it’s nothing we’re not all familiar with is it?

So here I am, out-kittened on my own home map, with the only help available an NPC that goes to 2 out of 6 possible locations. ‘hey guys, we own everything on the map, so the hostiles will either have to go to NW or NE towers with the NPC, but that’s ok.. we have the garrison inbetween both’

OK fine, that’s not how I run things, but there’s plenty of other servers who do. and its just a direct play into the enemies loot log.

But here’s what really rubs me up the wrong way. You’re outwomanned and yet you still kill half the group that rushes through what they presume is an undefended gate. Awesome, you’ve just reduced the odds back down to 2:1. Oh wait.. they brought enough numbers that they can practically insta-revive people. Wonderful.

You did say dev’s play WvW right? I’d love to know what it feels like when you kill a significant number of players whilst completely outnumbered (ie you used skill to kill them), just to watch them revive each other (often whilst you’re dead without hope of a revive yourself)

Ok so lets get to the meat of the subject: my proposals that you must instantly agree to implement, otherwise Anet is the literal spawn of satan:

1) Block fully-dead revives in hostile territory (ie you don’t own it). This can be a permanent buff, or a guild consumable. No revives from dead if you didn’t capture the territory you’re in. Use the same radius as all other guild buffs. Instant zerg leveling measure that requires the zerg to.. well.. not suck. and I could code that in my sleep. No excuses.

2) Don’t reward the zerg. All of the recent mastery traits in WvW.. can you imagine what the game would be like if they all began with: “whilst outmanned…”. Instead I’m faced with 4 trebs being insta-built to 1 (if I’m lucky).

3) Don’t charge gem’s to transfer down. Ok fine Kaineng (or the people who transfered there) ruined this one, but why should we all suffer to try and balance the servers? As far as I am concerned, transferring to the top 6 servers should cost double what it does now. If you want to transfer downwards, then it should be free. With guesting, there is literally no reason to charge money to transfer servers unless you’re trying to milk WvW populations. You want balance? then let people filter downward.

4) WXP points: ouch, that was a swing and a miss. Attackers get more points then defenders. You’re encouraging the zerg again. Where are the points for a defender who has no supply left? He’s getting hit by a treb from a tower he cant hope to recapture. He’s outmanned but he’s standing at the hole in the wall. Sorry buddy, but you’re so kittened that your kittens haven’t even begun to realise how much mew’ing they have to do.

5) Here’s the bonus points for anyone reading this far in: I am dreaming. Devon is a welcome addition to the community, but here’s a simple test. Name the last feature the community as a whole went “now, please” and has made it into the game.

I’ll wait…anyone?

..I might even wait another 10 months.. but probably not.

Imho, its design is flawed. It should reflect a percentage of the damage done. As it is now, it is useless toward big damaging skills and extremely harsh versus weak multi-hit attacks.

Some freaking consistency in design would be nice. Right now they are heading towards making Fear a binary feature that you have to either go balls deep to get decent use of it or completely ignore it thanks to how they are trying to cherry pick when it counts as a condition or stun.

All skills or effects of the same type not following the same rules is garbage design to be frank. Just shows incompetence in balancing if this doesn’t get addressed.

It would be like if there was a sigil to increase burning time, but they just selectively decided not to make it work on a certain ele burn skill because it was deemed too strong.

But yet then the food and runes that in turn reduced that skill would work just fine.

Choose a lane Anet.
