Don’t people just go full glass for PvE anyway?
Not really. The ones who have some clue what they are doing tend to mix in some knights pieces with the zerker to provide an optimal performance in any kind of PvE.
The ones who go full glass are the ones i am rezzing all the time or who are complaining they are getting kicked out of CoF1 for warriors.
i always wonder about this question
since healing is usually 1/4 – 1/3 of the toon health bar
how much health does a warrioir need to be viable. i am thinking of the extreme end to daecollp suggestion
i vote 60k health
Give me the HP of a reinforced wall!!!
Seeing as WvW is the “end game” of gw2, I don’t understand people’s need to get flashy weapons. It’s generally understand by anyone that plays the killer role that we target commanders first, then flashy weapons second. If you can get both, that’s just a bonus right there.
I know people might think it’s mean, but I love cutting down someone with a legendary. I will teleport to them first out of everyone, sometimes even over commanders. I run the zenith skins because they actually bring people to me. It works as a loot bag delivery system.
1) Equip zenith gs
2)spin to win
3)press f, and 1 at the same time
4) /laugh and profit.

No. End of story bro
Why not?
The thief has less than 15k hp, no deffskills and do less dmg with the same gear/traits.
Good for them. Still no
I like this Billy guy.
so what you’re saying is:
“I don’t want to work for the skins.”

wow something you actually got to earn with time and effort. i truly have no problem with it seeing i have enough to get the first but will take me months to get the next
There are plenty of cool looking armor sets that new players can choose.I think its selfish to ask for something you can’t get immediatly.I think its a great reward for people who played this game longer and players who are dedicated to the game.
TL;DR-You are not entitled to it
1) not a few years, maybe one
2) the living story gives so much achievment points, if they’d only do the story every month they’d most likely get to 9k in under a year
I find it easier to melee than to stay at 1200+ range and have arrows actually hit.
Longbow has slow arrows against moving enemies, obstruction, terrible maneuverability and adds zero to survivability. On top of that, in order to do max dps, you need to be in 1200+ range. At 1200+ range, you are not able to buff other teammates or receive their buffs.
I suggest that Longbow at max range deals a higher dps than MH sword. With this, Longbow will be more balanced that way. After all, MH sword has tons of maneuverability and survivability.
No. Melee weapons should always be higher dps than range weapons as you are in more danger in melee than at range.

Nope, the Zephyrites are going to run out of food at some point, since they’re flying around and all. Before they manage to land somewhere else, they will be forced to eat your character. Sorry for your loss.
the above post could be complete and utter nonsense.
Quartz will NOT temporary content! Sky pirates and sky merchants will evolve as permanent factions with their own zone.
Excuse me, but how do you know that?
It should obvious that’s what Anet is planing. Use your imagination!
Okay.
I am imagining, obviously, that after commandeering a sky merchant ship in order to pursue some thieving sky pirates (who have kidnapped Kiel and Gnashblade’s genetically-engineered love child), our intrepid characters discover a formerly unknown land filled with mighty dinosaurs, flying reptiles, and giant cave asura who wield great spears in combat (on dry land!). This long forgotten land is threatened by creatures from an alternate plane of existence buried deep within the dreams of the giant cave asura, from whence they sometimes erupt when a giant cave asura has a nightmare, to ravage the land and its inhabitants. The giant cave asura, using their primitive but nonetheless quite powerful asuran brains, have devised assorted means of preventing themselves from falling into dream-filled slumber (such as using peanut butter filled pillows), but this is turning them into terrible grumps, making them almost as much a threat to the world as the dream plane creatures!
*New crafting material: oozite, a highly volatile substance which oozes from the ears of giant cave asura suffering from self-inflicted insomnia.
*New features include: oozite-powered ski boots for skimming across liopleurodon-infested waters.
*New mini-game: transported inside the mind of a sleep-deprived giant cave asura, the players must compete with one another to master the art of brain-wave riding in order to quell an invasion of dream plane creatures!
Obviously, that’s the obvious next step in the story!
I think I love you.
“Worshipping nonsense and imagination” — Hayden Herrera (paraphrased)
Not trying to hate, that is the nature of a full zerk warrior and that is how they need to play to survive. But I personally find it boring to play or watch because it is the build that does the work. A 5 second fight doesn’t teach much in the ways of timing dodges, gauging enemy cooldowns, comboing, knowing when to use certain skills as much as a 2 or 3 minute fight does, or as much as a build that isn’t a two-trick pony.
On the contrary I find super defensive fights to be extremely boring and low skilled in general. 2 defensive specs fighting have an incredible amount of room for error. Mistakes mean little when you can sit there with enough defense to tank multiple enemies and when you have 3 stun breaks, unlimited protection and retaliation, etc.
*EDIT:
In reality there is no proper way to 1v1. Defensive 1v1 fights gauge a different set of PvP skills than Offensive 1v1 fights do. For example, defensive fights gauge the ability to be aware of cooldowns and planning ahead, while offensive fights gauge the ability to react quickly under extremely heavy pressure. Saying that glassy builds take no skill and that defensive builds do is a silly statement as they are 2 completely different ways to play.

I don’t understand how this is “forced.” Anet doesn’t release this stuff and say “by the way, if you don’t do any of it you’ll be significantly behind in progression and rewards.” If you don’t want to do it, then buy the materials off the TP. Instead of enjoying new content for free, people would rather complain about it.
I don’t wanna do meta events in new zone so how i get home node? Any way to get it from www?
I just wanna stare at my inventory and watch it get bigger. Y no living inventory?
and the Axe 5 doesn’t really have any area it shines in.
WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG
it annihilates other rangers and grenade engis. Not to mention staff guardian, and GS mesmer.
if you use axes with high crit build, you will pretty much destroy anything that comes unprepared. As in, anything that relies on ranged DPS/ranged condition spam alone.
It always makes me tear up a little when I WD ontop of a downed enemy and kill all his friends trying to Rez him and the stupid grenade throwing engi trying to get me off….. It’s just so beautiful….

You could have blocked CnD. Then he can’t Sneak Attack and all his other skills are weak as all heck. CnD’s a melee skill so it should be obvious when a ranged set is trying to use it. Also he can only CnD twice from full initiative. Maybe try kiting.
Except there are plenty of other ways to stealth such as smoke fields (D/P creates them at will), other creatures, blinding powder, shadows refuge, doors, siege, etc. It is also pretty easy to just wait out dodges then CnD. Going stealth is ridiculously easy for a thief and not much another player can do about it.

Great. Another stealth thread.

Ever stop and think, that there are so many thief threads because anet refuses to do anything about them? I recently dueled a condition thief, something you rarely see. When he would stealth he would do his rapid sneak attack stack ton of bleed move. I was able to block it several times. What was my reward for perfectly timing it? Him still being stealth to do it all over again instantly everytime with no revealed or initiative lost. Clearly working as intended…

Just throwing it out there, but a P/D condi thief has to cloak and dagger you to stealth, unless he blows utils. So unless your “Perfect Timing” involves you allowing him to poke you in the kitten with his dagger every 3-4 seconds, you probably aren’t being particularly honest with us.
So rather than argue about a design flaw I pointed out in game, you blindly resort to the “its you” post. My timing was indeed perfect for what I stated. You have no clue how long duel I had with this thief was. He did CnD me many times as we fought, he also missed many times as well. You have completely failed to make a point in what I stated about block and sneak attack. You can tell when someone has no argument when they state “you are not being honest” as their argument.

That is all. Carry on.
I read this crap and 90% of it was fixes for bugged, abused and OP skills. MMMMMHH stack dat stealth on dat wall! and seriously basilisk venom is now BREAKABLE. OH kittenIN BOY I though thieves were allowed to stun you for 3+ seconds if specced and you cant do kitten all about it. Its a themed stun nothing less nothing more you are not some privileged private school student

If GW2 comes out with an anti-stealth class simalar to the Reaver from Dark age of Camelot I’d roll one. I had some great times hunting stealthers in that game, even though I had multiple lvl50’s including an Infiltraitor & Hunter.
Guardian gets fairly close since I swear I can hear thieves hiss when their knives sink into an aegis like some shadow dwelling creature when you shine light on them.
Makonne – Hybrid Regen Ranger
Sure lets give Thieves an unblockable backstab. Absolute genius.
Lets get something straight, Thieves need nerfs not buffs. If everyone at Anet tried a profession other than Thief then maybe they’d stop making the game revolve around them.
