I haven’t run Altruistic Healing since November. Don’t need it, don’t want it, enjoying the buff to Greatsword Power when I’m not busy demolishing things with sword/shield and staff.

So, y’know.

ok..i know this is going to come across as a trololol…but you folks that were condition using SB…switch to an A/T + S/D build and have some fun.

I love my ranger and will never main another class…and i would say ive yet to be beaten in a heads up 1v1. and always last till the end in 5-10 man skirmishes …so dig your heels in and have some fun!

if your stuck on using a bow…maybe we can add a couple more strings to it and make it a harp..then you can roam the borderlands strummin your sad tune 8(

The better ones are too busy discussing the finer art of using shortbow/longbow on swap and how to rez faster in the middle of combat.

The new dungeon is awesome. If you fail, I suggest you fail less.

I liked it. And the lasers are relatively easy considering you can stand on boxes or keep moving. The final boss takes forever but that’s good. It challenges you to accomplish something.

Back in the day it would have been miserable with not being able to bring in a party member if someone leaves, but now it’s fine and working as dungeons should be… i.e. long play content for people who really like to game and not just be handed everything.

I’m laying in bed surfing on my iPad. When I read the OP, I LOL’d and woke my wife up. I’ll agree this game has many issues for many people, but this is REALLY going off the deep end.

Nope, I’m pretty happy with my ranger despite all of it’s shortcomings and the perception of players in this forum.

I agree with jcbroe’s analysis of the ranger community in this forum. They take everything in a negative light and blow it out of proportion (see aquaman).

My personal gripe about the community is that the negative nancys believe that their opinion is absolutely correct and disagreeing with them gets you labeled as a troll or they start to question your intelligence. Present them with facts and they will ignore it or they will still try to enforce their belief that they are correct. (see 84% crit chance with Jaguar Stealth).

While I agree that some of their complaints are valid (I’m pretty upset about the pet damage nerfs just as much as they are), they present them in such a offensive and repulsive manner that it’s hard to take it seriously. More so for developers that want to see player feedback but get turned off by all the crap they have to slog through just to get the decent ones. And when one of them finally has the guts to participate in discussion, they get viciously attacked. (See Robert Hrouda)

I see these people as the kind of people that absolutely hate change. Their toy truck with big wheels got changed to a toy truck with small wheels, but in exchange they are given a new race car as an alternative. They will kitten and moan about the changes to their beloved toy truck and completely ignore the new race car.

I am constantly surprised by the fact that people think this shortbow “nerf” destroyed the class. I have played ranger for about 3 months now, and have created a very good melee build, without using the shortbow or longbow at all. The only class I have trouble fighting 1v1 is none of them and the only classes together I have trouble fighting 1v2 is none at all. Only against coordinated groups of 2 or more, or uncoordinated groups of 4 or more do I have trouble, and all that is WITHOUT A SHORTBOW! So stop griping about 1 weapon being hit a little bit and actually experiment with weapons that aren’t “auto-attack to win” and require a little bit more skill. The ranger does have a high skill cap, you just have to find builds that let you raise it.

I don’t see how you can be happy with rangers when

- Barrage damage has been cut in half
- Both the LB/SB have worse tracking issues than they did before
- Pets are dropping a lot quicker and their F2 abilities are slower to react

That is unless you use none of those..

Oh no? You can’t autoattack with Shortbow anymore, from freaking miles away, while applying 14+ stacks of Bleed? God forbid you actually have to use skills to play.

Ranger Shortbow was by far the most forgiving, braindead, easy-mode way to play in all of GW2. Thank god they changed the range.

The funny thing is..for whatever reason i don’t have problems with blinds. Maybe bc i don’t faceroll keyboard i don’t know..if ur blinded press 1. The olny time its can affect u is while casting skill, but if u used ur burst when u got closed to ur target its was a mistake as in many cases they simple just dodge away, block, blind or whatever.

Lol if you don’t have problem with blinds then you must be playing straight hot join with rank 5-10’s. Anyone that pvps at all knows that blinds are EVERY WHERE, tossed onto weapon attacks, utility skills, elites.

You clearly don’t pvp. If you even pvp in the slightest, you will know that thieves literally spam blinds, with no cool down, d/p thieves spam blind fields and a blinding shot, not to mention most thieves run blind on stealth every 3 seconds, necros plague form spams blinds for 20 seconds, well of darkness spams blinds, guardians SPAM blinds, there’s plent more but I’m not going to sit here and list them. not to mention these effects are AMPLIFIED with multiple classes in group. Blinds are slapped onto ridiculously low cool down or no cool down skills without any thought.

So if you don’t have a problem with blinds you obviously do not pvp.

Ur right. I don’t pvp and i spam evis, killshot, bullrush and other important stuff like mad under blind. The olny time u can say blind is strong is when blind was well timed – its meant u got outplayed. Do u complains about aegis too, or shelter? I can go on and tell how lame it is talking about blinds, but i don’t care. Some ppl just wants 5k regular hits, 10k hp/sec, perma protection up, immune to chill+cripple+blind and..well its waste of time. Every class suffer from blinds, why warriors should be different? A good players will adapt to changes, the bullrushfrenzylol combo ppl will have harder time. The olny thing im afraid is torment.

Just as you can’t control every player on your server we can’t control every one of ours. We do not condone that at all on our server and if he was caught doing it by one of our core group he was likely reported.

Miss the target, take the damage, miss and not cure anything..

Or with just confusion

Hit the target, then cure all that stuff when I don’t need to cure it.

You can always just not take the trait and use something else. It won’t necessarily be optimal for every build… I know it won’t be for the one I typically run.

Rytlock Brimstone is the most attractive npc IMO…but I also always play as a Charr…and I am a female,lol.

Not really sure what everyone is complaining about.

I’ve been a solo roamer in WvW on my war for a long time and R35 in spvp. nothing to brag about, but I literally have no issue with most classes, builds, whatever and I’m pretty close to pure zerk with axe/shield and GS. 10/20/0/10/30. I beat the classes people complain about here all the time, eles, thieves, mesmers whatever, sure it’s harder, and I have to really focus, can’t just facemash the keyboard like most other classes 4tehwinz, but hey, I manage.

Everyone always talks about sustain, sustain, sustain. Warrs imo in every other mmo I played aren’t supposed to just eat ridiculous amounts of damage and be able to deal the same, it’s all give and take.

The one thing we do excel at, which may change after patch, idk, is high mobility, putting pressure on people, and insane amounts of damage, it’s insanely easy to control your opponents when you’re making them panic.

Good players will always adapt, and idc if the rest of you fade away. Maybe it’s a L2P issue. I record often, if anyone disputes it I don’t mind posting videos of myself in 1vx situations.

I guess you don’t play much SPVP, your warrior with that pictures setup could not even push my necro past 75% health

HGH engies and necros are actually easier thing to kill for me. And i beated many of them that was rank 40+ in tpvp. Feel free to ask me for tips how to play warrior, going to sleep now anyway so gn. Also i bet my mace/mace TROLL build can own ur warrior anyday anytime.
