We want Anet to reallocate some of that oversized art team to WvW or Hire programmers and minds within the community that play the game and care about it.

This poll is loaded and mute as soon as it says more loot.

option1) No matter what you attached to the poll the one that has more loot is always going to win. It like asking if you want to keep the current system or add multimap looting like you have in AB. No one voted for this because it had clean up or or improvements. (not saying not one person did but majority read
“more loot that’s what I want”) This is also going to promote Ktrain and blobs.

option 2) Higher pop server in t1/t2 don’t want this system and have the majority of the WvW players. So it’s not going to get voted for. I mean having movement would be great.

The poll should have ask if players would like:

option 1) a 1 up 1 down system with a short explanation
option 2) Glicko scoring adjusting with a short explanation

It has been a few months since server linking has started and I think that we have given it enough time to actually draw an conclusion about it. I have played in all for tiers of the new system. What I have noticed is that nowadays omniblobs is the way to go, roaming is a dying art, taking your 20 or so guildies into wvw is quiet hard due to queues and once they all get in just to get run over by map queue zerg. Lets face it wvw now is just who has the bigger zerg .

We can all feel it, this is so wrong. When this game started Anet Said you can choose the way you want to play. In the old system people had choice to stay on their server or move to a more appealing one that fit their playstyle. Many of us stayed on our server cause of Server Pride. We wanted to build it up, we enjoyed the friends we made, the community we built, giving all we got enough when we were outnumbered and what we did in wvw mattered.
New system- friends and people we know have stopped playing, communities are dying, there is no making your server better. All the smaller servers are just numbers and placed where ever Anet decides. We just fill a gap and we don’t matter. While host servers enjoy a rank , smaller server just get tossed around like a hot potato. This is why most people are leaving. At the end of the linking it does no matter how much we do or how much effort we put it… it means nothing.
With the Old System every one had the choice where they wanted to play, roamers, smaller guilds, skilled guild groups and the blob zergers unlike the new system where join the blob or die.

Communities we have built over the past 4 years means nothing according to the new system which is disrespect to all the players who sweat blood and tears for their server.
We all know this but most servers start tanking 3 weeks before the new link in order to obtain a good pairing or avoid the dreaded no linking.
Well we all see what is wrong with linking… there is no consistency, communities are dying, players are leaving, and lets face it wvw is not as much fun anymore.

I am asking all those who see this post if they would like their server back, solo server fighting against other solo server, do you want to regain your communities, do you want to be able to roam without getting blob,do you want to feel what you do in wvw matters, do you want to stop losing friend cause this game mode has become boring, do you want the choice back?

I know this opinion is controversial, but I think we should stop with the world linking and instead do a merge.

I am from AR, one of the smallest server around. Before the linking, WvW was pointless to me. There was not much people around at any time of day. WvW was really PvE, except when sometimes you meet a small enemy group and die.

The first linking was a huge transformation. We were now with YB, had always foes and friends around, and finally I could experience the real WvW, as it was meant. I started to follow great YB commanders and learned and enjoyed.

And then… it changed. We were linked again, and I had to start from scratch. I had to get to know the new servers, their guilds, the commanders, etc… Now we are back with YB, which is great, but for how long?

I want to be able to form a network with our ally server. I don’t want to be the small pion moved around to adjust numbers, I want to be part of a group, maybe even join guilds etc..

We need to merge servers, and let the communities form, else the small servers will keep losing members because we have no hope of getting anywhere. I understand that some people like their server and their communities and don’t want to lose their names, but this is all pointless. Soon you will have a larger community to feel part of, even if it is under a new name.

I hope my text made sense, and that arena net will consider merging the servers. Linking was a hot fix for population unbalance, not a long term solution.

I hope they never “fix” this. It’s one of the few counters for door catas and similar siege-troll tactics.

That is one of the worst reasons ever for not fixing a bug. I was not even on siege, or against the gate, I was standing about 900 range behind the gate.

Being a Necromancer in WvW Outside the Zerg

I used to love my Necromancer, but we’re such a joke now that we’re literally free bags if we aren’t behind allies or a wall.
We’re passable 1v1, but as soon as the situation scales up, we immediately get focused and die. There’s no way around that. As a roamer and someone who likes to run in havocs, the rule of any fight is to target the Necromancer first. Not because Necromancers are dangerous, they’re much less threatening than many other specs. We target Necromancer first because Necromancer dodges twice (3 times with energy sigil) and then has to take all of our damage. The Necromancer is too slow to do anything. It can’t even get into melee with us if it’s allies aren’t pinning us down.
We can still win 1v1s, but we are often a liability in anything bigger than a 2v2 that isn’t a zerg.
In comparison, my hybrid ranger has 16000 hp and 2500 armor, and she has more damage, range, mobility, and survivability than a Necromancer. The only thing my Necromancer does better is corrupting boons. That’s it. This ranger build isn’t even among the best condition builds, and it is blatantly superior to Necromancer.
Lastly, I am offended that we’re “performing well” in every game mode when the commonly expressed opinion is that we’re just scrubbing by. This isn’t just a small issue. People are quitting the game over this. Money is being lost. Necromancer jokes are being made. Please address this.

BTW GS 5 is bugged as hell. Doesn’t even show up half the time.

I’d suggest removing the targeting and replace it with a free cast ground target like wars gs3. As i usually do

Guess were all gonna pretend that waypoints themselves aren’t lame to begin with.

They give a reason to care about upgrades. Part of the reason dbl was such a failure was the side keeps didn’t originally have wp’s.

Contested should mean some damage has been done to it. You can set this at 1% of the walls or gate. One solitary person should not disable a waypoint for 3 minutes just from waving at the keep as they pass by.

Even tapping a gate is lame. I would suggest gate/wall going down to some percent like 75% or 50% (the number can be debated). That is a threat not a ranger plinking arrows from 1200 range or thief attacking a gate with daggers or pistol…..

Does a keep waypoint really have to be unusable for 3 minutes, because someone sneezes on a guard…Can you please finally change this so a player has to at least kill a guard or do some damage to a keep before the waypoint goes contested. I don’t even mind if white swords pop, but does the waypoint have to be made completely useless for no reason?

Question for the community:

3 months are ok the amount of changes these balance patches contain?

I may have gotten spoiled, but as someone who plays both GW2 and LoL, LoL patches things very quickly, sometimes in just a few weeks if something is broken. Compare that to three months for basic changes that might not even pay off.

I would love faster balancing as I like the pvp here, theres just a few issues

Smite and all of the other legitimate top tier eSport Dev teams do the same with their games. 2 to 3 weeks balancing patches, sometimes balancing patches between the 2 to 3 weeks if devs are unhappy. The devs in those games, don’t have to balance between 9 classes more like 50 plus different characters, hundreds of abilities, and a few thousands of items. Maybe that’s why these games get’s the really really big bucks, and the grandest of stages outside of the Olympics. Simply because they are not lazy and are maybe in it for more then just a quick buck to flip quickly.

I maybe a troll with class.
But at least I admit it!

They should have a few balance patches at the end of each season – one every few weeks. Test things and see if they are working as intended. Respond to feedback, etc.

THIS. easy number changes should be readily available in a week or 1 month tops.

Skill/Trait Reworks around 2-3 months. 3 months if it is a lot.

Considering how little is actually balanced each patch (so many underused, underpowered skills and traits on every class still, so many clearly OP skills still), we should be getting a balance patch every 3-4 weeks at worst.

Since we only get them 4 times a year they should be huge balance changes that actually strive to make every trait and skill (or at least as many as possible) viable/useful on every class. And this is not what we are getting

At this point, the frequency of balance patches doesn’t matter. ANet is unwilling to make actual balance balance changes to reign in the heinous amounts of power creep which HoT introduced.
