Just curious if it would maybe be possible to change the name of this skill? Its sounds odd to smash into a 50 man blob yelling retreat.
Im sure this community could come up with a better name.
Maybe: “Into the Breach!” “Charge!” “Double Time!” “Forward!” anything but “Retreat”.
Just a thought.

I get some heat for this, but really, you need to figure out how you want to play a mesmer, and what you wanna do before deciding on a build.
Me, I play a PU condition Mesmer, I MAY sometime switch to a more power based, but its gonna stay PU. Roaming, you REALLY need allot of stealth to get yourself out of sticky issues, in case you run across a small group just trying to gank roamers.
Just the other night, 5 man gank squad tried to kill me, my stealth, and blink got me out of it, then I trolled them, went back, found them, let them attack, then got away again.
As far as any build goes, never know with ANET, they will buff this, nerf that, so what works today may be broken tommorow.
Mesmer is like Anets love child, they wont break it trust
Sounds like changes to core Necromancer have not been ruled out.
Thinking positively, like any devoted Necro, Arenanet may be taking longer some professions because they are developing and testing more extensive changes.
What you said is true but gvg is dead, friend. What these guys are antsy about is zergs.
Show me a coordinated epi bomb that wins a gvg against a decent guild.
All I ever see is uncoordinated pug groups getting instant downed by a 4 necro 10 man group. Any decent 10 man can instant down pug groups.
Guild groups kill pug groups… this is not new…

This is straight up an awful idea. This change won’t help a competitive environment at all. Period. Being on FA, seeing this change makes me not want to play the game mode at all. In T2 right now we have the T1 server of the week which is TC, who has won every skirmish except for one so far this week. Then there is FA and SBI. We have more consistent coverage than SBI but neither of us match TC’s coverage. We are consistently beating SBI but under this new scoring system we would only be 1 point ahead of them after countless 2nd place skirmishes. On what planet is this system fair or a good idea? Don’t even test it for even a week. Scrap it. Scrap it just like the rest of the unfinished kitten in your game.

Both servers hit the leading server’s objective.
This way, the leading server’s main force has to be spread thinner, giving the weaker server better chance in the fight.

If you don’t like the way a commander plays, may I suggest that you can buy your own tag, tag up, and be the commander you want to see on the map?
High mobile classes that can enter and leave combat is a very abusive mechanic for roamer. i know this topic isnt something new. but how its abused makes other classes like druids and thieves and warriors significantly better than the rest. is not so much the instant full health that bothers me. its the classes abusing the cooldowns
so when a player engages a fight with a theif, and successfully lands their elite skill or a skill with a significantly high cooldown. that theif can blink away and use high mobility to leave combat. re enter combat with full health. making that skill wasted. even though you played correctly as intended.
my only suggestion is whenever a player leaves combat. they dont regen their health instantly to full. they either must find a safe spot to use their heals or regen, heal on the go

You are just whining and lying when saying and I quote "while its been years WvW has barely gotten that level attention. " when the past year WvW has. Web receiving a lot of attention/overhauls/additions. And WvW will get more attention so don’t worry quit whining.
It’s undeniable that WvW has had developer attention this year, but I question developer focus when;
- didn’t provide features that increase a team’s ability to recover from large point disparities, and instead do the opposite (see #2).
- they implement things that only 13.7% of those polled requested.
- out off the blue they suggest open field cannons
I was encouraged when developers made the proposal for, “New Worlds”. This gave me the impression that they were trying. I was instantly discouraged when they just dismissed the whole idea after people suggested that there were problems with it, rather than discussing those problems and solutions to them.
The last part seems more like a community issue and not a Dev issue. If the Community keeps shooting down Ideas without actual discussion on their part or attepting to discuss it the Devs won’t waste their time with the idea, yes the WvW Devs need to be more vocal and to be more engaged that is something that lacks the most especially for WvW but also other game modes.
It is not a community problem. Every idea they have introduced has failed. the polls they take are completely one sided because they want players to chose something that sounds “amazing” but isnt and are quick to implement with less man power. I even said this multiple times there needs to be WvW specific trailers to attract those players who love massive scale PvP and all thus game mode to get new blood but they arent going to do it cuzkittenWVW. Anets moto since day 1.
I do hate to be critical of Anet as they are people too. But I will say this. If they truly are working on a “WvW Overhaul” it would be nice to get a sneak peek so we know what to expect! I mean it has been a long time since they have had any decent changes in WvW. Just saying ANET if you see this can we please at the very least know what your plans for WvW are?
