The devs must think they are too surviveable, just look at the last “balance” to rise. That was unacceptable and uncalled for.
fightin all day vs 50+ 70+ on more maps is no fun, i think fsp is place 1 until the next server linking, because they have too much numbers and other servers cant fight that all the time.
i was on fsp before and i leave the server because it was no fun run over players and pressing 1, now i get run over and its no fun too.
i think it was more balanced servers when all servers was not linked, and it was much more fun to play.
there is no more balance, and players use server linking for mass transfers, for me its like cheating, please stop the stupid linking and bring back the old single servers.

non stop stealth is a problem in this game, but thief can’t get the stealth nerfed as the vanilla class would be destroyed.
Instead i suggest to give all the classes to be able to build to counter stealth effectively. Same as the players do for mobility, if you take the choice to build against stealth there should be the option for every one.

@Jacion I don’t think that “getting bought” is that big a thing. Are you saying that all the guilds that transfered from DB were just “bought” by rich servers that play “pay-to-win” instead of the fact that they actually wanted to leave the server on their free will?
- If a guild is loyal to a server, then it will refuse transfer-offers.
- If a guild recieves a transfer-offer, then this is an offer by another player. This has nothing to do with arenanet, transfer offers aren’t something provided by Arenanet.
- DB players can make transfer-offers as well.
- Buying guilds/players doesn’t buy you loyality. This players and guilds will just hop servers again with the next chance they get.
- Like it was said in this topic: many guilds left DB not because of money, they left it because they didn’t want to be tier1 at first and others didn’t want to stay behind on a dead server in a high tier (because Glicko didn’t react fast enough DB was stuck in impossible matchups for several weeks).
- Everybody saw the guilds leave DB, it was no hidden secret. It also isn’t something illegal in any way, people are free to leave to other servers if they want to.I think blaming Arenanet is unfair in this case, there isn’t much they could have done in the current system to avoid people leaving DB. They could have ajusted the Glicko rating faster, relegating DB earlier but would that have solved DB when they would have went from tier 1 directly to tier 3 or 4?
I understand that you are angry. But I think you should be angry at the guilds leaders that left DB in a hurry and the community that couldn’t stick together for longer. And then mobilize the people that are still on DB and show the guys that transfered to other servers what DB is made off and kick our behinds in wvw, making them feel sorry for leaving. I am sure with the next linking in a few weeks you will have a “resurrection” similar to YB.

I’m not angry, I’ve stated here on this actual topic multiple times that I am OK with being in T4 and that my server will lick it’s wounds. I am a loyalist and I will keep running nightly with what ever tags is running or directly with my guild. I believe in this game having a community that gives the fun in wvw, that’s most of the fun in wvw in just being on TS.
You can’t tell me that what occurred is not a failing in design across multiple issues, which does, indeed, include transfers. You also can’t tell me that anet doesn’t enjoy its most likely 2nd largest cash cow (transfers, 2nd only to cosmetics) or that anet does not have its fingers in the population game, they control glicko score, linking, and they control how population is calculated, which is wvw participation based, not server actual population base, AND they control server transfers in that regards, just look at BG being “full” or people in chat discussing when anet will “open up” a server to transfers.
They are knee deep in this game, it’s silly to think otherwise.
At the end of the day, I’ll be on wvw, running with my people…what ever tier we are, fighting the good fight and collecting bags.
But for all of us (well, maybe not wvw juggernaut BG, yall doin ok) , we need all these issues addressed to allow everyone who wants to participate in the mode, to not feel cheated. Yes, we all log on some nights and lose…that isn’t what I mean….I mean, there should never be a 9 tier swing, and that both scoring, score manual changing, bandwagoning, linking and transfers need to be fixed.
You don’t know how long I was waiting for a post like this. When I try to tab-target something, the priority seems to be
1. Neutral (non-aggroed) creature in range
2. Anything out of range
3. Object (non-creature) in range
4. Anything in range but outside my LoS
5. Hostile creature in range which is bodyblocked by something between it and my character
6. Neutral (non-aggroed) creature in range again
I was trying to find any topics related to this targetting ‘thing’, but without much luck, so I assumed the problem must be solely on my side. It is hence a kind of relief to finally hear (read) I’m not alone there.
Stealth is poorly implemented in this game. There’s little to no penalty to camping it outside not attacking, it completely drops target lock and gives you every advantage to run or get the first hit/hits in.
It’s no surprise that some of the most hated builds in GW2 roaming all have good stealth access. In a game where over half your skills can be dependant on being able to see a target to use then stealth as it is cannot be said to be balanced.
Stealth in this game is probably one of the worse ever implemented into a mmo, they built a class to function entirely around it. It’s not like, well you use it to get around, or just for your opener, or just for getting way, nope, it’s built to be spammable from start to finish in a fight on top of which it’s even on hard hitting skills like cloak and dagger, why the hell is stealth used as an attack?
It’s never going to be “fixed” because they built thieves entirely around it, you tweak it too much and you’ll probably break that class, for other classes like ranger/druid, mesmer, engineers it’s optional to their play.

Other than players that use the ANET design, am I the only player that thinks attacking while stealth’d and staying stealth’d is stupid? GW2 is the only MMO where someone can attack from stealth, go back to stealth or stay in it due to kitten poor programing and exploits… do the dev’s even know this.. do they even play anymore?
No argument here… the autotargetting is pretty bad … why on earth it would target a gate or wall is beyond me.

I KNOW!! Everyone tells me I’m crazy as well when I bring this up! I don’t get it!!!! I really don’t understand how this isn’t a big deal. For most communities this would be the biggest priority and issue to fix in wvsw….instead we are running around complaining about that player being bigger than the other player, and that player having more bling than that other player, and that player offending the other player’s made-up sensibilities.

People keep stuff because there are tons of people who view anything gathered or dropped as “free”. It may be “wrong”, but it is how they behave.
People also keep stuff because there has been a history of introducing new items/sinks that require stoopid amounts of stuff that was formerly worthless. Sometimes the new items required mats that were worth some coin to begin with and the price of those mats shot up. Therefore, if you sell now and something new comes in that you want, you lose big by having to buy back those mats you sold at a much higher price.
tl;dr “the prices are out of whack, so to fix them, we’re doing nothing and hoping they’ll fix themselves”

When using team chat to speak team wide, implement automatic labeling for player location. Ex: Znombie [EBG]: Enemy zerg on keep.
Too many people aren’t stating their map location (Ex: EBG, YBBL, BGBL, ect.) before making calls. Most people aren’t even aware of the change, and its only going to continue since new players will not know, and returning players will be clueless.
The 6-5-4 score is because everyone started with 3 Victory Points. We will be fixing it so that everyone starts with 0 Victory Points but this change won’t be in for a few weeks.

Debatable: Mesmer (due to stealth, double blink, and alacrity). PU condi needs nerf for other reasons than movement. It’s probably the most successful solo roamer, but it takes somewhat skill to be unkillable.

I don´t get what the op want us to know. Is that a complaint about the power creep in hot ? Because honestly playing a druid which is one of the more ridiculous elite specs in terms of survivability and damage output and complaining about:
“some how with that high skill floor people are still terrible and you will find it most effective to build to kill bad people”
makes no sense, you are part of the problem.
I never understand why these WvW players try to fight against roamer who use some lamer build. If roamer is close kill him 20 vs 1 and drop some rams over him.

they couldnt transfer to deso because it was full … they ofc used GEMS .. now they are
left alone in vabbi and cant play with us in deso .. * claps * goodjob .
