Hello all,

I am unsure if a post like this has been made before or not, so I’m just creating a new topic.

I, along with my friends whom I play with, feel that conditions are overwhelming; not necessarily that they are overpowered, just that there is little counterplay to them.

We feel that conditions are in a nice place; however, there is no stat that mitigates condition damage/duration except for vitality…

A simple way for me to explain what I’m thinking is as follows:

For power builds to work, players invest in Power, Precision, Ferocity (3 stats)
Where as, condition builds focus on Condition Damage and Duration (2 stats)
> Condition builds only have 2 stats to worry about and can invest in another stat…

Countering a power build, players can invest in toughness, vitality, and/or healing power (3 stats)
For a condition build, players only have vitality and/or healing power to focus on (2 stats)
> There are 2 stats that work against a power build, while only vitality works to against conditions

I guess what I want to say is: when building for a condition build, there isn’t as many stats to invest in which allows for the build to focus on survivability; where as in a power build, players don’t have as many stats free to invest towards survivability because of how many stats they should invest offensively…

Please let me hear your thoughts

For months and months, people have given you feedback about what you need to do to fix World Vs World…at least we’ve given feedback on what you need to do to improve it.

There is no reason you should need to conduct another “CDI” to gather information on how to improve the seasons. You’ve had nine weeks to collect information from us, so go back and read our feedback. Make some changes and listen to what we say because at this point, your attempts at “community outreach” are superficial at best. Its time we see actual follow through from what we’ve asked for since the game was released, or we will continue to see guilds and people leave this game. (Whether you choose to believe “WvW is flourishing”, you should understand that its a widely shared perspective that less and less people are playing this game mode.)

I disagree I think the current system works you could buy salvage o matic and a personnel merchant and sell/salvage whilst capping that keep/tower/camp/sentry

or you could just not push F.
Complaining about to much loot I mean really.

Save WvW Before its too Late

Having been here from launch, I’d say it’s already to late. The golden days of WvW are long gone. I remember battles in Garrison that involved 4-6 guilds fighting against eachother in different locations within that keep for hours. I look back fondly when we took the Vizunah home Garrison and had a constant battle for 3 days straight, day and night, having guilds releasing each other.
Logged back two or three times over the last 7-8 months and it’s nothing like it used to be.
Guild groups used to be around 15-20 guys, now they have expanded to 25 or even 30. It’s an unmitigated disaster.

As Cactus said, good, fleshed out suggestions have been posted since day one. All I’ve seen is devs jumping ship, one after another, seemingly confused about how to actually make games.

The devs don’t have an answer for this yet. They were debating it this afternoon with no conclusion reached.

The one who programmed it left the company in the meantime, so they are as curious as we are what will happen

I agree with this, but more on the ground that someone trying to get 100% map completion can be denied it due to how well or how bad there server is playing in WvW, of course they could always remove map completion from WvW.

So even now to carry on the tradition of the grind without the store one must achieve 1600 of the newest currency, which I’m sure there will be people on here to tell us all how “easy” that is and how it can be done in 5 minutes. It’s like once they’re hooked on the grind we can’t get the developers off of that hook to even consider any other design for rewards. (and I mean that about any game because this isn’t the first rodeo it’s happened to.)

If you want a legendary then just buy the kitten thing from the TP.

All the original system needed was to more quickly adept to population dynamics. Not wait weeks or even months before it would move a server up or down because it gained or lost a lot of WvW players.

Instead they just made it random, and threw all attempt at making balanced match ups out of the window.

Collaborative Development, 5 months later

5 months ago GW2 started Collaborative Development in all content areas of the game. I think it’s safe to say PvE is doing great, and with the new PvP patch that area of the game is receiving a lot of new faces, but what’s happened with WvW?

Well, I think it’s safe to say not a whole lot.

At the time Collaborative Development began, the Edge of the Mists was in the end stages of beta, since then it’s not really received much attention as a “playground for testing new ideas.”

They’ve added some content, but they’ve not focused on any of the concerns brought up by the community.

The main topics covered in the Collaborative Development thread were WvW population and scoring. A lot of great ideas were thrown around, but we’ve yet to see any response to these in game.

Can we expect to see anything?

What are your expectations for WvW?

I’m going to echo what is already been said here above.

WvW is great, I love it, and I’d like more of it but, it is so far beyond stale it’s bordering on embarrassing.

I don’t know what more to say that hasn’t already been said but, I won’t continue to play your game if you don’t continue development of WvW, which means I won’t be spending money in your gem shop and historically when I stop playing an mmo I don’t come back.

Maybe you don’t care and I guarantee your silence on these forums isn’t convincing anyone you do.

I don’t know about you, but personally I think WvW has hit a new low, and the best part is, Devs don’t care, or if they do, they’re doing extremely poor job showing it.
Blow out matches, double teaming, stale match ups, server stacking encouragement before season two, just to name few issues.
I have no idea what they’re doing, but I’m starting to think even EA and Dice did better job “fixing” Battlefield 4.

2v1 is destroying the victim server

Do I need to mention how many servers were destroyed by that particular whiny server?

People were complaining about servers not working together to beat the top, and many servers are completely face-rolled by the top.

This time it happened, servers finally work together to beat the top, and people are still complaining, especially one particular whiny server tried to play victim because they can’t get their top season reward.

Do I need to remind you many servers feel the same way all the time? This is the first time that particular whiny server experienced such thing, and they can’t take it so they cry as loud as they can.

How come I didn’t hear the 2 underdog servers complaining about being dominated for the full season? They gladly accept their last place and continue to have fun in WvWvW. Are they not the victim as well? Do they need to call Anet to fix it as well?

Complainers will complain no matter what.

PS: I am not allowed to mention any server name, so use your brain to fill in the name yourself.

I did see a list that you can get more than 7k rank points for a title on wiki, but i dont see what we can do with those points because we dont have so many mastery’s in list to spend points on.

I already asked for golem speed mastery.

If any one else have a nice idea for mastery please reply here so we can make a list and maybe they add it.

WvW is endgame for me. I go out with my guild and fight other guilds or farm big blobs, constantly looking to improve. If this game had no WvW id have no reason to play, PVE is currently laughable and has no endgame. Im really hoping Anet gives WvW, like a feature patch of its own, this year. If not then they’ll see a loss in players for sure.

Not much lately since a couple servers have decided to team up against another server and trade wins for the tournament.

Man up. My sever got double teamed a lot during Season 1 by a certain server who practically invented the concept and actually ended up winning S1…the same server whining about being double teaming…

WvW is my primary go to GW2 mode. I like the challenge, the randomness. And double teaming other servers whenever possible (I just said that to be a kitten)

WvW for me is something that’s different every time I log in. Even though there is really only a couple of maps to fight over, the fight diversity that happens over those strategic points is varied enough to still have me interested in wvw.

Can’t get that from pve (or eotm)
