I don’t have 8 characters to play when my favorite one and the one with good stuff (gear, skins) get nerfed every single time.

Idont mind nerfs in the only class i actually play, if they have bring some sanity to the gameplay, but problem is Anet never bring the other classes to guardian level has “balanced”.

Hard to know since game values are more than broken…reason some specs are impossible to play…
I dont know, but after patch when playing frontline build PVT+knighs/pvt trinkets, looks like im playing a frontiline zerker, no matter how much “jumpdodges” i have or blocks i melt if something hits me :|.
I imagine the game hasnt been fixed yet, so IMO its hard to know how much toughness will be good after game (IF) gets fixed or some very high damage values for easy gameplay are here to stay, anet wants zergs to wipe each other very fast.

For all those who want higher difficulty and more challenge why don’t you just equip white armor and weapons, leave off trinkets….you’re happy to be challenged, others are happy the way it is…….win win.
YOU HAVE THE OPTION to make the content more challenging………….is it really that you want other people to be challenged more than they are….. or do you want yourself to be challenged?
You can transmute your stuff for the same looks as spendy gear!
…no armor in dry top/silverwates before the patch and was doing fine, was pealling potatoes w/o sharping my knife so it was a bit slower, this isnt increasing dificulty.
Remove trash mobs, and improve AI with a good algorithm that tries to predict players bynoticed when player tries to stack them in corner, bursts etc. >:}

I don’t understand how people can be upset – the functionality increase on all choices is incredible… You have access to so much more diversity and power and you want to throw that away for some of the worst builds imaginable?!
Not at all… some weapon sets are impossible to use now. (due lots of bugs offc..)
Personally I’m not ok with the game getting easier either. I don’t want this state of the game.
I don’t want to see level 80 people that don’t even know the basics of their class – but I don’t know if this can be helped.I feel Anet should add more negative reinforcement – you do badly you should be “punished” for it – or at least incentivized to not do so bad anymore.

Theres a way to fix imba servers numbers for those who care and fix ppt based scores, but is based on a re-design of WvW into a megaserver map, also it would end with the resets on wvw, to a progressive conquest game with Risk similarities.

I am kind of at a lost how that would fix any thing if you megaserver wvw you end any type of point tracking system for a world and comply destroy all ideal of community in wvw. It would simply make wvw into EoTM x 4. I am sry but that not a real fix that more of “i want open pvp maps and not wvw any more.”

Sounds like you do not want wvw so its not realty a fix for wvw just a new type of open pvp zone. I am sry but your asking for a comply new game in effect its just not going to happen and its not hard to see why mostly becuse your asking for the death of one game type that ppl do play a lot of ppl for a hand full of ppl in comparison to have there open troll pvp map.
And this is the worst of it ppl who do give suggestion but are comply “bat crazy” in what they want that there is NO way to make or meet up to there expatiation. There is never going to be a game type that will live up to this point of views wants.
What expectactions? Unless they change how wvw works people will always complain for the same things over and over again, they wont stop people from changing server, they cant stop people form blobing and make wvw looks like a karma train against smaller servers, they cant do much for what people complain becouse that is how the game works.
Btw i know it is mpossible to implement it for several reasons, WvW will always be like as we know it and hardly will be changed, and yes im asking to wvw death to something diferent and with real objectives that will make guilds more valuable, and not just blob while other server cant blob back.

but you killed it through neglect and an open transfer policy. Sad, the new maps are far too late and do nothing to solve the real problems…. But you are making an insane amount of money, based on the rate that large guilds jump from server to server….
If your still playing wvw and others are too how is it too late? Also tell me how do you fix it? That the main thing ppl seems to be well and able to complain about large guild jumping from server to server but NO ONE has even gotten close to saying how to stop this or even if they are willing to say “You are not allowed to play where you want to” because at the end of the day that IS what your saying.

It is not hard to stop that in theory, there are countless ways to do it…
But…
Anet hardly (mostly like in a impossible point of view) will change how WvW works, if they change to a mega-server system they will mostly do it without do the right changes for wvw work well and will be worse.
WvW was initial made for casuals players (like the ones in eotm actually) that don’t pvp much so they could do a bit of pvp with some pvx objectives, it was never to be a serious game mode.
That influence system could be used for several improvement even to end the ppt score…
Reason WVW will never work well and will have always allot of conflicts its because gw2 model isn’t itself a “serious” game to play, the objectives that players work hard for doesn’t matter after next week, like those small servers that will get blobed almost 24h if they increase in rank and are forced to tank, or basically efforts are reseted at the end of every week…

WvW still lacks compared with older games….
It was across 4 hits but they were all at once for the most part, the biggest being 9090. He jumped on me and I was down, period, gone. I have WvW’d enough to be in the silver ranks, I have NEVER died this fast, ever. This patch is broken, fix it.
looks like game is working as intended since Anet wants every one to melt and zergs wiping each other at the first contact.

i tough it was caused by server lag, but yeah i have the same impression u need to keep pressing it by one or two seconds befores skill is casted.
Activation time is way too long.
Almost impossible to pull off in PvP unless you start from over half health…
before:
1 sec cast time = stability
2 sec cast time = 3 sec daze (pacifism)
4.25 cast time = full heal
Addl healing after the full heal. (Unnecessary ish)Now

Same activation time? How am I supposed to survive 4 sec without getting interrupted?
I mean, by the time I have to start the heal I don’t even need it.
i could say use stability but, a 4 second cast time might mean your party is already dead, and stability is overwhelmed easilly.

Other than burning can you explain to me how conditions are OP now? Bleed was nerfed, so if it wasn’t OP before the patch then it is fine now. Are you saying torment is doing too much damage? poison?
People keep saying that conditions are the cause of this crazy damage yet say nothing about:
1. 4 extra traits for everyone, usually including 1-2 +10% direct damage traits
2. Buff to zerker gear
3. stackable quickness (i’ve had up to 50s of quickness at teq….)
4. Boon spam everywhere (guards, rangers and thieves can stacks 20 MINUTES of fury)Once again, burning needs a significant damage reduction, but I have not heard a single argument against the other conditions yet…
That’s true, but if they buff zerker gear means more raw power, players are already doing much more damage on melee (toughness in wvw feels like playing almost zerker already…), and yeas by condi i ment burns, since i mostly play guardian forgot other classes had more condis to use besides fire :P
(sidenote) i didnt spend much time on spvp but some condis there can make some pressure and felt like playing gw1 it was really cool.

I feel the same, it made some classes stonger one or two very similiar builds that were already strong and player that played other builds very very lacky/week.
Why not a permanent channeling of the 5 until you move ? And then a big cool down.
It feels the weapon cobinatio is a dead one, if aint playing medi condi cant do nothing…

On some classes/build wins who atacks first, is this the new insta condi game mode? You(players) are being forced to take condi build overall to melt anything that crosses your screen and doest matter the other person build(stats, he will loose if not atacking with conditions), melts who spams more condis.
Lords on wvw are being killed under 3-5 seconds by just 5-8 players with condis, now imagine the players, also guardian consecrations take longer time to cast, being forced to play one build is also awfull for a mmo.
Noticed that on wvw my retreat gave aegis to alot of people, besides party memebers.
I feel like burst guardian is incredibly weak in comparing to conditions guard.
bursts are weak against condi builds, conditions due the vulnerability increase conditions, every one is melting at close combat.
Play pirate ship condi meta and you will be fine….
Well my ele, guard and war got insane buffs
. Can’t complain.
besides guard is in process pf being optimized for that.. wil have LB and fire damage basicly kills anyone now.

as for necromancer it gets back its well deserved place as masters of zerging!
Yup with rangers and guard aplying vulnerability at range any one who tryes to get near will melt really fast after those jumpy dogdges.
Bunkers classes/builds are melting really fast in wvw if they try to pull trough.
I too was using Boon’s and outgoing healing. I’ve amassed aproximately + 76% boon duration with a build I came up with by sacrificing dps and vit to ensure the party survives. I’ve been through some hard dungeons and fractals with beginners and survived because of it.
Thanks Anet, I pretty much solely play my guardian for pugging and keeping newer players alive long enough in fractals and dungeons in order for them to learn with little frustration. Now most builds rely soley on dps. Ive been a fairly active player and have vouched for anet with most of their ideas being for the better, but you’ve ruined guardian for me. I cannot play the guardian the way I like and thus cannot play the game the way I like. I’m probably still going to get on from time to time but I think I’m mostly done until they fix this. Not a big fan of the new build system…. Less diversity.
^Anet doesnt want u play that style u must go meditation or buy DH.
Also more builds deiversity means more work for them to balance… reason classes have one or two supbar builds, i am gona wait for the balance patches ..
The class that deppended alot of boon duration now deppends the fire damage to kill…

Why is guardian forums as bad as thief forums? >.< I thought guardian traits were great (compared to the load thieves got). Can someone explain to me what this update did that nerfed guards so badly?
All professions were “massively nerfed” and “utterly destroyed” for those who play them.
You can’t go to a profession forum without avoiding threads like these.

I think the new guardian traits are GREAT! If you feel bad about guard traits, hop on to the thief forums for perspective. As of today, I’m no longer a thief main ^.^ Hello guards, glad to join your honorable ranks with fantastic traits ^.^

Like I said, L2P problem.
Allow me to teach you.
You start your fight with scepter/focus on, from here, you hit 4, 5, 2, 3 -> switch to GS, 4, 5, 2, 5. Oh hey what do ya know, they got immobilized in that symbol, then when the immobilize ended, they got pulled to keep them in to it while your shield of wrath blew up in their face and they ate at least half your whirling wrath. I’ve been doing this same combo for months and wrecking noobs like you that have L2P problems.
I’d mention exactly how my interrupt Mesmer could destroy that build, but I don’t really like to argue with people that attempt to insult me with L2P comments and 1v1 threats. They’re almost never worth my time.
for those that dont play meditation guardian and hammer/gs it looks a dead class..

Already seeing after the patch in pvp (hot join or organized) A team and B team A seeing a guard in B team and they say:
-Ooh look a guardian in B team
-Poor fellow don’t he knows his class got so nerf that he barely survives even dmg is non
-F*** him thief X go playkill him don’t let him get any points i want to hear him swear in Map chat that hi cant kill you, and trust me he will die first even if he’s a pro or not
Is this what the devs to hear in each pvp match or in tournaments
Is this what the GW2/HOT community want to think about the guardian an easy picking for the other professions and even worse in HOT
(And Josh XT.6053 gladly accept your offer but i am a guardian as well )

yout got sigils that proc on crits, also vigor means more dodges wich is veru important now, since vigor gains is 50% less if i recall the changes.
@Black Box, imo that is to soon to talk about, but that what i guess every one fears.
Condis will do less damage and will increase with vulnerability and with stack, out simbols will apply burn and vulnerability, but yeah for those classes that can apply lots of conditions and group play if that works will be nasty and players need to invest more in vit stats than play only full zerker, even that with vitatlity i fear its not eneught agaisnt some classes.
(i didnt payed much atention to changes besides gurdian and ranger, but lb had a pretty good buff and still apply 10staks of vulnerability each 8seconds withing 1500 range, also a +33% bleeding damage boost that will increase with vulnerability stacks)
yeah in theory a few conditions will hurt alot if they arent cleared fast or avoided.

its true that guardian looks that is getting buffed in some areas, but IMO the problem are the ones that always lacked and didnt get the righ treatment with this patch.
Mace overall was a nice improvement, but just becouse some use it with focus….
Meditation only most viable…. and now DH and probably dh/med hybrids?

They may care about the class, but they surely don’t play it. Some of the most disheartening things have been seeing the livestreams, and watching the devs flat out forget the names, the mechanics, and the abilities that are central and core to the Guardian class.
+1 . Karl seemed laughably ignorant of the Guardian profession skills/traits during last Friday’s Ready Up. How sad for us Guardians.
I think thats normal, since they dont play guardians and if they play that classe for sure is a medi hammer with gs, they dont know how guard strugle to figh some classes outside that meditation box.
They didnt buffed shield skills (to make them trully viable in combat) wich is needed and sanctuary could use some love to, that 120 seconds that makes u stand and be a target to get nuked….

Honor line means more dodges and more might.I remember Empowering Might back in the day. Those days when boon duration existed. Nowadays, I can’t even think of a decent use other than healing yourself with AH.
Really, our might stack options are kitten. I can’t even try to play a celestial guard cause our might basically evaporates.

what i do sujest (and will happen but with huge randomness) it is player make just one Thread about problems over time and edit their comments as a log, some will be obvious needed changes some not.

The simple fact that if you reflect their attack they will melt and die in 2-3 seconds is proof that the Long bow damage is OP.
Show me another class where if you reflect their incoming damage they die. There isn’t any, because no class does this much single-target damage in a few seconds, and specially not from that range.
warrior with killshot , and btw ranger dying to WoR its the same for those thiefs and eles that die to retaliation, its dumb but still happens once in a while.
:D just a few hours for the changes! GW3/2.5 INC!
Seems like we were nerfed based on the DH reveal with the 6k burns from the non condi guard vs chieftan.

@20% would be a good trait to use with mace/shield, since this weapon combination is lac-luster in mobility.
Numenlord, SA might be just as lackluster if the recent readyup has any indication. It looks like SA was nerfed down to about 10% which to me, now makes the whole Zeal line pretty much unappealing. Might as well go Radiance.

that means ill have to choose another trait line i was about to use it with mace, and its already dammmmn hard to be mobile with mace with a shield that is lackluster….

BP is no longer in contest with pure of voice. Sure we no longer get the healing symbols* but who the kitten ever bothered to stay in those things anyways? We get enough condi removal that we don’t need the active

And not only @ the minor symbol healing. Overlapping symbols might heal like around 2×140 (with 2 symbols) and when we noticed the friend/ally has is condi cleanses burned we said “stay on symbol for a small regen we are not against big aoe classes, and wait im going to use LoD in 6sec”, the first thing ally does is get out of the regen place and run in randomness dying slowly…
But the same happens has a guardian with several domes, even when my SW SoA goes to help the ally and absorbing all the ranger and nades hate, players tend to get out of it and die(has if my shield was a enemy attack some even get arround it has if was an enemy Sanctuary….), also avoiding the aegis i would had giving them with SoA on command….
it would be nice even if Anet increased a bit those heals on guardian, just a few buff to make some some players with other classes taking in account our effort to protect them or at least consider if they want t o die or have a option to survive longer on the crisis situations.

it works, about the performance, dunno becouse i used a octacore with 16gb ram and a 960gtx at that time, buuuut i imagine you wont loss.
