I would rather pour hot lead down my pants than have to deal with Steam/Valve and their broken bloatware unsupported crap they push on their customers who have no idea how bad the program/company really is. I don’t know why anyone would subject themselves to Steam in this day and age when literally everything else out there is a better option.
Please, do not waste resources on supporting bloatware companies and their future operating systems. Thank you.

Give the ascended gear either “limited” stat swapping or full stat swapping like legendaries…or a way (a quest for instance) that would allow you to Add a stat for stat swapping.
If there were epic quests in place where you could unlock stat combinations for your gear that’d be.. awesome. That would be unbelievably awesome.
No more grind; make it about challenges.
I agree, would love to hear from Chris on this idea specifically, epic quest chains to unlock swappable item stats and new item stat combos.
This is a cool idea. Lots of logic problems to think about in regard to it. Need more time to think (-:
Chris
I like this idea. This would work best if each combo was account-bound. Each eligible item (possibly an upgraded ascended, similar to infused) would be able to switch to its original stat combo or any of the unlocked combos.
You could group stats combinations by primary attribute and allow players to unlock one in a specific group upon completing certain achievements. This way players could unlock the combo they want without having to play outside their norm, but to unlock all of them players would have to play all PvE/WvW aspects of the game. For example:
Power:
- Reach WvW rank 100
- Achieve “Dungeon Master”
- Complete 4 “Slayer” achievements
Precision:
- Complete 40 unique jumping puzzles
- Complete 3 “Weapon Master” achievements
Condition Damage:
- Achieve “The Sunbringer”
- Kill 2500 enemy players in WvW
- Complete one tier of the “Regular” achievement for four unique activities
Toughness:
- Reach fractal reward level 50
- Reach 5000 total achievement points
- Achieve “Been There, Done That”
Vitality:
- Complete “Victory or Death”
- Achieve “Master Crafter”
Healing Power:
- Earn 1000 achievement points from living story achievements
- Defend 500 objectives in WvW
- Complete the “Dive Master” achievement
Celestial:
- Unlock one stat combo from each of the other six groups.
I feel like this is completely the wrong direction. All the stats should be unlockable via something in the game mode you play in, not forcing you to do supposedly optional stuff like crafting.
I’m glad you like the idea, but what you said would actually turn me AWAY from that kind of system.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
1. Being able to turn on my own name!
What do you mean by that?
Make my own name visible on my screen. As it stands now player nameplates are only for other players above their heads.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Currently only have jewelry. Until they add Ascended armor/weapons for badges, I won’t have those.
/shrug, WvW is what I do. We have been waiting Anet to catch up on WvW rewards for over a year.
I have no intention of doing crafting (which I never do in any MMO really sans Rift) even for BiS items. It’s just not worth the amount of time it takes to get them as I don’t enjoy most PvE content or crafting. It’s too boring for me.
I will gear out all of my characters through WvW when it becomes available.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
1. Warrior Elite Skill Rampage remembering that I set Smash to auto-attack.
2. Option to toggle Renown Heart Zones. I don’t personally care, but I know people who wish they could see the boundary for Hearts and some DE’s.
3. First Person Camera (plz)
4. Better indication of whether I’m in range for an attack other than those really out of the way red bars at the bottom of skills
5. Customizable UI, letting players move stuff around and remove what they don’t want
6. Ability to snap currencies to bottom bar of inventory.
7. Timer for LW achievements that show how much time is left for a release’s achieve’s, similar to Daily and Monthly timer. Or just the end date for a release.
8. Two upgrade slots for two handed weapons, sigils for both weapons if dual wielding work.If I think of more, I’ll edit this post. BTW, shouldn’t this be in Suggestions?
All 8 of these are good QoL improvements. Good post.
I’d like to add one at least:
1. Being able to turn on my own name!
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
So it is all in the title, one thing players expected from gw2 was the downscaling system in open world making going back to low level areas challenging and rewarding. But the problem I remarked is that even while downscaled (to avoid the one hit problem) our players are still wrecking balls. If i play a zerker build I am able to 2-3 shot enemies while being able to eat a lot of attacks, and this problem is also present if higher level areas: with the stats we can achieve through for example exotics most mobs will be literally a faceroll to kill, while we definitely out damage them they don’t seem to be able to retaliate.
I now kind of understand why slaying unworthy enemies while leveling felt a lot better than killing enemies at max level, fighting a bunch of lv 28 centaurs at level 28 with lv 27 greens feels much more engaging than auto attacking undeads , grawls and icebroods to death with a grossly overstatted charracter.
So my point is that anet should rethink the result players can reach when using best in slot gears and also re implement the downscaling system, if they want it to be engaging they need to make going back as an higher level character be about having more tricks up your sleeve, not about brainlessly inflicting affliction, pain and desolation in the enemies troops.
For the target audience, the downlevel system is perfect. It lets you play with lower level friends, while at the same time maintaining a slightly higher threshold of power.
It’s in a good spot imo.

12 hours in and the score is virtually tied.
This should be a good week. =)
(Don’t let our SEA demoralize you — you’ll do the exact same to us during EU.)~ Kovu
No disrespect intended, just asking.. Does your SEA ever get bored with the lack of pvp during their playtime? It has been my experience most people who thrive on pk’ing tire easily of what is essentially pve. How do they keep it interesting?
Honestly, I play a lot during SEA times because of my weird work schedule. Sometimes it’s frustrating, but this match we have seen resistance in SEA hours to the point where we can’t completely flip the map.
To answer your question, PPT and map control is interesting to me specifically. I like winning. I think everyone does. Our NA presence is small for the tier we are playing in I feel, so we have to fight when we can
EDIT: Also, wanna give a shout out to AF of Borlis, you guys are one of the toughest groups I have come up against in recent memory. That’s some impressive WvW team you have put together.

I might as well say it here, now that the thread is going and I’ve gotten some ideas for adjustments from what you guys have said.
What I have in mind is a new currency of sorts. (Yes, I know. I really do NOT want more currencies in the game, but sometimes they really are the most practical solution.) Let’s call it Influence. Now, each part of the world has its own Influence (Kryta, Ascalon, Shiverpeaks, Orr, ect.) You earn Influence by doing DEs in those areas.
Let’s look at Kryta. You do DEs in Queensdale, and most of them will give you 1 Kryta Influence. Some may give 0 because they’re very minor or because they already carry a special reward (champions, for example). One or two may actually reward you with 2 points, because they’re extra difficult or out of the way, but the standard is 1 point. Eventually, you move into Kessex, where things are a bit harder. The same rules apply, but now the default value is 2 points for each DE. Next zone up gives a standard of 3.
Then, introduce vendors that you can spend Influence at. Some skins would be an obvious choice for them to sell, especially if it’s a variant on the local look for weapons. But they should sell other things as well. Consumables, crafting supplies, whatever. Things that people will need more than one of. Maybe you can pay to trigger a special encounter nearby as well, or buy an item that combines with some of the local cultural armor to create a modified look for it (such as the first take on the light gemstore flame armor). Maybe even dungeon tokens for whatever dungeons are in the area, because building up that influence will almost certainly put you up against some of the same forces as you’ll find in that dungeon (this would be expensive, though).
Basically, doing DEs gives you the chance to buy some stuff that’s not overpowering, but is nice to have. Higher level DEs and tougher DEs earn the rewards faster, and DEs in different areas earn you different things because the vendors in each area sell different things.
That’s the basic idea, anyone care to suggest improvements or blow some holes in it?
I really like this idea of area/zone specific currencies that let you purchase fun and useful rewards.
I would take it a step further and make ascended items acquirable this way for open world PvE players as well. It’s a good idea, especially the crafting items part. Would much rather run DE’s than farm nodes, any day of the week.
Good idea, +1 from this guy.
EDIT: I’d take it a step further and post it in the suggestion forums too, this is really an idea worth sharing and it could bring the numbers back into the open world.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
To add to my earlier post, I play a staff/sword focus support Guardian. Yea I do ok in PvE, but I’m much more effective in WvW and feel like sometimes my support is the only thing keeping a fight going. You will feel useful in WvW for sure.

[1] Down state is a mechanic to cap the power of highly skilled, experienced players. [2] If power scaled with skill, then 10 mans would be wiping 60 man zergs. Ditto for aoe caps. [3] A game that lets experienced/skilled players completely dominate would end up driving most people away, and become a niche game with a much smaller population.
- Down state isn’t needed to cap player power. Limited player capability already does this
- Power does scale with skill. But because players have limited capability, skill isn’t the only factor for determining combat and therefore quantity yields an advantage
- True! However segregating players based on skill directly solves this problem
Power and skill do not scale on the same curve. Outnumbering your opponent gives a huge advantage by design, through mechanics like down state and in combat rezzing.
There have been other games such as Daoc where power and skill scaled much more in line with each other. A 10 man squad could take out a 100 man zerg. Not every day, but I saw it happen more then a few times. Unskilled, inexperienced players were at a huge disadvantage.
Down state plus low damage output/weak healing and high health pools is what makes superior numbers the first order optimal strategy. If you took out the down state, skill would become much more of a factor in most fights. And in pvp that’s a good thing. That is what brings pvpers from other games that are to care-bearish to games that offer more in terms of skill.
If 10 people are good enough to beat odds even as much as 3 to 1, they deserve to win instead of just going “ok lets down as many people as we can we can’t possibly win this due to downed state” they should be able to go "ok lets try and kill all of them.
Without downed state for example a group of 10 people could charge into a group of 30 and have hope for winning. But with downed state that group of 30 not only has the advantage of superior numbers but also the advantage of more hands to res allies and more numbers to protect downed allies by pressuring stompers, interuptign stompers, stealthing/shielding/ aoeing all over the downed areas. This is unfair.
Why give handicap to those who already outnumber? I wish anet would answer that. THIS IS NOT HOW PVP WORKS
This post is a gem. I remember our well organized 2 group 16 man zerg in DAoC was able to take down 2 to 3 times our numbers because we were in vent together, organized, and played on a superior level.
This game has never given that kind of opportunity, and with downed state active, you have no hope of advancing a horribly outnumbered fight and taking the win.
Having the skill to play and know your class in DAoC made a huge difference, even in zerg fights. It would be nice to have that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you played your best and won, rather than knowing no matter how well you play you won’t overcome a much a larger force in GW2.
Very well said Senjun. +1.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Downed state feels like a good and fun PvE addition to the game. It has no place in WvW and should be “turned off” while in WvW areas.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Support Guards are very very good if well played in WvW. Otherwise, you are going to be much less useful. The entire PvE game is built around max dps and nothing else.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Had a blast this weekend. Seems like a good matchup, have been really enjoying the fights. BP and EBay both have some very talented guilds, have been wiped more than once
Good fights all, keep em coming after work

I have a vague idea in my head for a suggestion to get more people doing dynamic events (other than champ trains). Before I bother to hammer it out a bit more and see if I can’t make an actual suggestion from it, I’m wondering if people see the current state/reward of general dynamic events as a problem?
Do we need more people doing them? Do we need more reason to do them in mid to high level zones?
Yes, DE events have needed work for…months and months at this point. The rewards do not match the rest of the game and most zones are dead because of this.

Vertical Weapon progression without causing a ruckus
With the screams that accompanied the implementation of Ascended items I thought I would offer you a way to add another tier between Ascended and Legendary without making people go crazy.Legacy Weapons
These would be Ascended weapons that have developed a name for themselves by being wielded by a hero for a period of time.Given: For discussion purposes I will select one weapon and one profession and use it as a reference throughout my example.
- Staff
- Elementalist
To set the stage: Some of us will probably never have a Legendary Weapon, what with the minuscule chance for a precursor to drop, Mystic Forge, and/or the cost on the TP (The Bifrost currently 2230-3097 gold The Legend 721-810 gold); Ascended is about the best a lot of us will ever get, so let’s make it special.
Since anyone who has been playing for a fair amount of time has the ability to craft an ascended weapon this option would be available for pretty much any dedicated player. I say “would be available” since, I have been playing since pre-launch but do NOT have an Ascended weapon, though I could make one Today if I chose to.
What is it: a Legacy weapon is an Ascended weapon which has been modified to make it more unique to the user. As all Ascended weapons look the same, varying only in color of the inscription; a Legacy weapon would take the basic template for the Ascended weapon and customize it. As it is a modified Ascended weapon it would retain its Best in Slot status.
Possible modifications: Let us take a page from GW1, staff wrapping and staff head, would give two different possible modifications. Each modification would make 2 different changes one aesthetic and the other minorly functional. These modifications would have to be earned not bought or RNG dropped.
As an example:
- Swift staff head: might give user a slight boost in running speed and some sort of quickness animation
- Staff wrapping of the Elementalist: might allow the elemental attunement animation to travel from the users wrist up/down the staff. For example, when attuned to fire, flames lick up the staff length; when attuned to air, electricity does the same etc. User gets a slight boost in their current attunement.
Now instead of having Zojja’s Ascended Staff, I have Yalora’s Swift Ascended Staff of the Elementalist.
So there you have it: You have added a tier in vertical progression without changing the Ascended best in slot. Nobody has to get rid of the Ascended items they worked so hard to get so those complaints are nipped in the bud and you have granted some customization to an otherwise common (looking) weapon.
Really cool idea here.
Just wanna stress how proud I am of everyone here for this discussion, we all come from different isles on this issue of progression, and it’s good to see a healthy discussion take place rather than us pointing fingers for once.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
On the topic of vertical progression:
Vertical progression is a necessary part of the RPG genre. Since the dawn of the genre itself, the name of the game has been progressing your character in the game world to become more powerful. Taking this part out of the game defeats the purpose of the genre imo.
That being said, I can understand the frustration some people would have in dealing with said progression. I only get to play maybe 1 or 2 hours a day most days, so I can understand that frustration more than others.
However, without vertical progression, we run into the doldrums of development like we are currently trapped in. Interest in the game has waned considerably, most of the first wave of players have moved on to other games because of a lack of things to do in game. I think this stems not so much from a lack of things to do, but from feeling a lack of actually earning anything. The game does nothing after you hit 80 and get your initial set of exotics to make you feel like you are gaining anything, power or otherwise.
I’m not advocating a WoW style gear grind that takes months and months to catch up to the current tier with. What I’m advocating is the inclusion of real character progression beyond cosmetic. A level 80 character should have a means of continuing to gain power, otherwise playing beyond getting the character to 80 has lost it’s point and meaning.
Personally, I would like to see the inclusion of more ways to make our characters seem like they are growing. Right now, my Guardian hasn’t changed at all in 6 months, and I log in less and less as a side effect of this. My friends list is empty. Most of the guild I am in has moved on.
I don’t want people to have to grind for the gear upgrades the way cosmetic upgrades are already a huge grind in the game. I think gear should be easily obtainable, but there needs to be a way to show character progression at level 80. Ideally, gear will be easier and less painful to get than the pretty cosmetic stuff everyone wants, but it would go a long way in keeping RPG fans invested in the game beyond the initial 6months to 1year mark.
I would like to add I think the top tier gear (currently Ascended, this topic of discussion) should be obtainable from any avenue in game that the person enjoys. Be it champ trains, world completion, jump puzzles, WvW, Fractals, whatever. It shouldn’t feel like a grind and it should come naturally. You can leave the grind to cosmetic progression like it currently is. But right now there is a complete disconnect from the point of 1-79 and level 80.

I just don’t understand. WvW fighting is meant to promote zerg fights because that’s the type of PvP it is. If you want small scale, they have sPvP and an area to set up GvG. The options are there for people who don’t want to fight in a conquest/army style setting.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
How should they react?
In their eyes it is quite logically acceptable, otherwise they wouldn’t have made the rewards like that.
And based on the extreme toxic post from some people in that thread I wouldn’t really want to subject my employees or colleagues to that, had I been part of ArenaNets management.
Hostile customers are not a good excuse to not do your job. It’s part of customer service. I have done it most of my life. If you can’t deal with the heat, get out of the fire.
If the current reward structure is maintained, I see no reason to participate heavily in season 2.

The manifesto was abandoned. There is nothing to discuss.

Nobody uses the word fortnight anymore. Use real English. I would venture to say half the people playing haven’t even heard the word before. I have, and I knew what it meant, but a large portion of people won’t.
Everyone here that I know in the UK uses fortnight. Do you mean real English or American English?
Real English, you guys may of invented the language, but you can hardly speak it (I’m just ribbing you of course, please don’t infract me <3)

If you’re looking for a fun PvP guild. Cooon and Friends is here for you. The point of the guild is to always have someone to play with/queue up with. Message me on here if interested or in game and I’ll send you an invite. Team speak is always available for use
In game name is (altcode 128)ush its just a weird C spelling out Cush.Edit: I really don’t know why Cooon is blocked (without the third o)
That would be because it’s a pretty well known racial slur my friend.

I could do shorter matches, but there needs to be at least 3 days in each match, anything shorter than that and it risks seeming inconsequential with no purpose to me.

Good, people will stop using youtube and it’s archaic sharing policies will be moot.

I only get to play about 3-4 hours each day (more on weekends) so for a casual player I have to say I feel like I accomplished a lot in such a short amount of time.
Is this what’s considered casual? No wonder it takes me forever to do anything. LOL
3-4 hours a day is anything but casual lol.

Anyone else thinking that many “problems” could be solved by simply enabling some sort of bodyblock feature while in combat? Also multiple mobs shouldn’t be able to remain in the same spot. Would it be that heavy performance wise?
It does require a noticeable bit more performance to have model collision detection. I don’t know if we’ll ever see it in GW2 (It’s almost a requirement in WvW and remains one of the worst glaring problems with it imo) because they can’t even get their servers to handle condition stacking properly past 25 stacks
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Assuming you are not being deliberately obtuse about viewpoints different from your own…
For me, the problem is that the imbalance between rewards offered in PvE and rewards offered in WvW shows a profound lack of respect for their WvW players. With the season 1 reward check they had the opportunity to remedy that imbalance a little bit.
Instead, they provided rewards that felt like a slap in the face.
This pretty much sums up the situation imo.

Update 1. Scarlet gets captured by Pact. They interrogate her by letting PC hit her again and again with what ever torture they deem fit.
Update 2. Scarlet escapes only to be a final boss battle resulting in her falling into a wood chipper.
Update 3 Everyone gets a free salad unless you are sylvari. They just sit back and watch in disgust.
Update 4. Rinse and Repeat with Treaherne.
Oh man, I would start paying attention to the LS again!

I wonder if it would be possible in the future for lower tier servers to “ally” as one. i.e.
World1 Vs World 2 Vs World3&World4
So instead of having a “Jade Quarry Borderlands” it would be called “Allied/Alliance Borderlands” (or whatever unique name two server combinations make)
This will make fighting lower tier servers, much more entertaining and to the point provide variety every week.
Before anyone jumps on me, there will of course be a restriction on which server gets allied with which. i.e. JQ+SoR, JQ+BG or SoR+BG cannot combine to become “Allied Borderlands”
Furthermore, this should be done once or twice every month so as it give the mid/lower tier servers the opportunity to fight in their proper tier.
In essence it would be WvWvWvW but two of the Worlds are “merged” into one for that one week.
That is a really cool idea and I think that has a lot of potential. I’m completely serious, you should make a more in depth topic for this all on it’s own. I’m on board
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
1. Nuke everything and start from scratch
2. Tell the players what you are going to do
3. do it.
To be fair, that’s how we ended up with this convoluted mess and everyone being at each other’s throats about vertical progression and balance. They should of stuck to the pillars and their manifesto to begin with, only after they started listening to us did we get a game with no identity.
Sure I think the game would benefit from changes, but them trying to make all of those changes and keep the original game intact would be impossible, and I realize this now.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Hey guys! I just had a few questions as to some of the things i can do as a fresh 80. What are fracticals, what is meta? Im a total noob when it comes to GW2 end game ( i come from WoW ^^) Everyone has this cool looking armor, how do i go about getting that?
Thanks for your time
Armor is obtained through multiple avenues and is the main form of progression once you hit level 80. Fear not, I had months of fun collecting items for the perfect look! This is actually a really fun activity and will keep you busy for quite a well.
WvW: Even if you are not into PvP, WvW takes PvP to a whole new meaning if you have never played DAoC or any other RvR based PvP. It’s a new experience, and I recommend finding out your server wide voice comm server of choice to listen to your commanders for maximum fun.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_versus_World
Fractals: These are the “Heroics” of GW2, you can find groups for these through online websites or in game. Fractals offer people who are into vertical progression a taste of that by introducing ascended item quality and infusions with “Agony resistance” that help with various effects used by bosses in those dungeons. You progress by steadily doing harder and harder “fractal levels”.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fractals_of_the_Mists
Meta refers to meta gaming, or use of information to get the most performance possible out of your class/gear composition. It mostly refers to researching and learning the various strengths and weaknesses of your class and using that to your advantage through items and strategy.

Did you buy one of the new faces for your character? Then post it!
Is that a male or a female? :o
I have the same problem, I think that one is a female though. It’s just hard to tell sometimes with dog people…or cat people…whichever one they decided to go with :p

Something is weird in that chart though – YB fighting DB is only 7% …
I would guess it’s due to the large tier difference, currently YB is T3 and DB is T5
But DB clearly doesn’t belong in T5. It’s pretty much been a solid T3 server for a while. You’d think our chance of being matched to other T3 teams would be much higher if they intend to reduce the match up discrepancies. Something is certainly weird.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Oh that’s really sad imo. Gone are the days of fighting a new battle every week. I’d rather get steamrolled every once in a while than fight the same people every week.

Log in, maybe level an alt for an hour or two, WvW with my remaining time, finish the daily if it’s not done yet, log off.

Despite what she has done, I believe we can get past this misunderstanding. Sure she has killed a few people and she should pay for that somehow, but think about it, wouldnt you want to have someone as smart as her in your ranks fighting Dragons?
I for sure vouch for an “alliance” of “mutual interests” (we dont kill you, you give us weapons and your subordinates, seems fair enough).
I’m sure we can all get past our differences and join forces, after all, didnt we do something similar with the charrs even though we have a long history of pilage and massacres?
#Scarlet2014
Heh, it’s a cool idea but I got to “as smart as her” and now I’m cleaning up the remnants of my Pepsi
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Yeah for pve players it doesn’t matter. But I am not one of those. I fight things that hit back (real people) and when you face someone that has the same skillevel as you, and they have more stats, armor, and weapon damage, they will beat you.
If I played this game for PvE I would never even think about getting any ascended armor.
GW2 is not alt friendly for WvW players. That better?
You’re close. However, in WvW, I can be geared in all whites, and still win. There are two things that determine wins: Skill, and zerg size. Skill is far superior than gear. If you feel having a slight stat increase will guarantee you victories, you severely underestimate how good WvW players can be. As for zergs, you can run naked, and still survive.
What server are you playing on out of curiosity?
I’m on Maguuma. The #1 skilled NA server in WvW. We can go toe to toe with Black Gate, so long as we’re awake.
Oh man.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Well I can only speak for me personally. I quit because of vertical progression and because fractal levels were reset. I don’t find enjoyment or challenge in any of the new content and the story telling is too light for my appreciation.
And you are still here in the forums? Lol
Just because someone quits playing a game for a while doesn’t mean the passion and love for said game isn’t there anymore. It’s just buried under other feelings that are stronger such as frustration.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
These are some good ideas, and with a little tweaking would solve the problems involved with off hours point disparity.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
It has to be an oversight or a bug. I don’t believe they would do this intentionally, as I do not believe there is any class bias between light armor and heavy armor.
Medium armor classes are universally unloved sans this bug it seems though :P

1.Make the game more point-and-shoot friendly. Being that I play as a warrior marksman I’ve never really enjoyed having the game aim for me, although manual aiming is possible, there isn’t really proper facilitation for it. Having the option to have the character always aim where the player is looking would be nice, a crosshair and first person option would also help. I know, “It’s a MMORPG” yeah, but I don’t care so long as I’m using a ranged weapon. It just feels cheaty.
2.The earlier mentioned Land, Sea, and Air Pvp game type; with the ability to choose and customise your own unit.
3.More permanent areas to explore would be nice. I like exploring, but personally don’t like exploring the same place twice. Some more wide open maps like Diessa Plateau, or tall ones like The Bazaar of The Four Winds.
4. More race oriented Game types: Examples for Charr
5.Add more customisation related stuff: Emotes, Biography Based Titles ,Ressing Animations, Houses Stuff like that.
6. The ILWSW Machine Gun skin. (With it’s own animations) Click
7. Dunno.
That is a really cool gun skin, thanks for sharing, that would be great in game!

I’m not sure the Suggestion sub-forum is the best place to put the sticky. I’ve never been there, but from what I hear, it’s considered a graveyard that few people visit. Perhaps, the sticky should be placed somewhere with more traffic…..say, like General Discussion?
Another good point. A more visible forum may be better for healthier discussion.
Thanks for the response Chris, I look forward to the topic

“I don’t like what you say so you must be trolling.”proceeds to link to threads that having nothing to do with a topic of gw2
/facepalm
My links deal with the fact that forums in general and including this one, are filled with negativity and complaints, not compliments and positive feedback. So those links very much apply to these forums and most of those posting in them.
For this one in specific, many comments are stating that Scarlet is hated because that is what people are posting here and are complaining about in chat in game. Yet they completely ignore or berate posts that claim to like Scarlet or are blind to chat in game that like her. I see both.
Where did I say I didn’t like what he said or accuse him of trolling? I said nothing of the kind. Just because I don’t agree with what he wrote doesn’t mean I don’t think he has the right to say it or you for that matter. But I also have the right to disagree with him and what he thinks.
So to comment on what you said about me:
“I’ll misinterpret what you say so I can look clever.”
Writes sentence about conceived wrong
/rolls eyes.
So defensive. What are you trying to prove? You linked threads that had no bearing on whether or not Scarlet is a bad character or not. It’s just links about trolling on video game forums for companies that have notoriously bad customer support, so their views on dealing with customers are wrong anyway.
Do you really want to use a SoE article to reinforce a point when they never listened to their players at any point?
I’m trying to save you from embarrassment but you are making it really hard through ignorance.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Only you don’t seem to grasp that your chats are not the only ones that happen in game or that forums are 90% filled with those that complain and only represent a small number of the total amount of players in a game.
That’s a very old Argument from Ignorance.
Just because we don’t know what most players think doesn’t mean they support your side of the argument. It just means we don’t know.
We only know what we hear people say, and the message is loud and clear: Scarlet needs to go.
Where did I say that players support my side of the argument. I said that no one can claim to know anything without a polling of the entire player base. So anyone, which I am not one who did, cannot claim that they know what “most people feel.” And since I am included in the proverbial “we”, we don’t all hear the same thing. I know plenty who like the current LS with Scarlet. Again you are generalizing for the community which is a true Argument from Ignorance..
You only hear what you want to hear. As far as what I said being an Argument from Ignorance., you obviously only read what you wanted to read because I said nothing of what you accused me of. That is a true Argument from Ignorance.. Did you actually read the article attached to your link? I don’t think you did.
Thank you for your link that I also got to use for you. Here are some for you:

A lot of people post videos as guides and information for other players. It could be an issue for information distribution for those staples of our community
So….just use one of the hundreds of other video sharing websites? It’s not like we HAVE to use youtube, especially if it’s having problems like this. I guess I just don’t see the issue when there are other better options available anyway.
Good luck to those affected by this situation, I hope they work it out
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
Why is this in GW2 general? An old video sharing website of yesteryear having issues with copyright claims… I just don’t see the connection, even when video games are specifically mentioned.
Basically, why should we care about youtube copyright claims?
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.
That’s because you’re intent on violent dismissal of any opposing views.
I think you’ve got that a bit backwards. In your first response to me you said “Since you enjoy an inferior version of the product, it’s best for all involved – including yourself – to dismiss your interests.”
So you either have difficulty remembering your own posts from a few minutes earlier, or you’re trolling.
But it’s not.
But it is. Because it’s utterly disrespectful to the team doing the work and to those looking forward to it. And because it’s simply not going to happen.
Pressing on with a project that garners universally negative reception is what’s absurd.
Good thing that we don’t here have a situation with “universally negative reception”, regardless of the fact that some people grossly overvalue the significance of their personal viewpoints.
But…by every metric it has been a universally negative reception. Every. Single. Metric. In game, forums, people I have talked to in TS…it’s a pretty universally reviled thing. This is just what I have observed, which is the only metric we have because we have no other way to measure peoples enjoyment or displeasure beyond what we read and hear.
