I also go through that crappy node. Usually it doesn’t affect my game play but you can try calling Comcast and explaining that they need to fix it. But mostly it’s a waste of time. Maybe if enough of us bug them tho

As I can see it’s on anet’s end, isnt it? Could you explain the graph?
Nope it’s the 8th hop. It’s hard to make out what the text says there as its a bit blurry (koment.net?). But that is the hop having the issue. You see the packet loss at Anets servers too but that is because you have the packet loss starting before their servers. It’s like a snowball effect. The packet loss continues all the way down to the end after starting.

I’m sure there are a lot of RMT free accounts about but none of those pose a huge threat to anything such as annoying whisper spam. Although if you grandfathered in those accounts we would have a much bigger problem as a result. So nope.
Okay so on second thought I am thinking its this hop 7. My route doesn’t use that IP and my connection is better than yours from the US. It’s owned by Verizon Deutschland GmbH. I tried googling it but I don’t read German so idk if that Provider has issues usually.
Ok so could you also run a tracert? I am in the US so it’s hard for me to run that IP and compare what is going on. But I have less latency issues than you are having with that same IP with being in the US so that is suspicious.
It doesn’t give an advantage in any way that I can think of as long as one command equals one skill used. It’s no different than one click on the screen or one key press on the key board. Therefore this follows all the rules that devs have discussed in terms of using third party programs. I know you would like an official response for peace of mind but really this does not infringe on any feedback posted by devs regarding the issue.

Won’t work. They would replace gold with yellow coin or get more ambiguous while still conveying the message. Eventually half your messages would be blocked because as the gold sellers use more ambiguous language to get around common blocked phrases like “buy gold,” you will also be blocking legitimate players trying to message you. It’s the same problem except it’s on your end instead of Anets end. I could see some positive trade off from this I suppose but really those trade offs would not outweigh the development time needed for such a tool. That and I’m sure you can’t have an unlimited vocabulary for your block list. There would have to be a cut off for the words that trigger the block.
If there was a good solution it would be used already. Thankfully gold sell spam is not as bad in gw2 like other games. I played ff14 like 6 months ago and it was awful.
It is 8 months after this report was first opened and I am getting Mastery Points from only about half the strongboxes. This is an awful lot of work for some junk armor in the boxes. Very frustrating!
If this was a wide spread issue you would see way more posts over 8 months. Most likely it’s people opening boxes they already opened but forgot about opening them initially. But if you are having an issue with opening a new box you never opened before on your account you should put a support ticket in as this seems to be a very individualized issue.

You should send in a support ticket with those attachments.
I might be tempted to pay using real money if they had a gem promo, eg. USD 10 gets 1000 gems instead of 800, just for the anniversary.

I’m at around 87% and I haven’t seen an increase or a decrease in the amount of valuables that I receive per day. I’ve only had two exotic drops in the past 6,500 hours, one of those being 3 years ago at the very beginning of GW2, the other one 2 days ago. From my experience, MF doesn’t work.
It’s effects on exotics are very minimal to the point where you won’t be able to tell a difference. It’s more impactful with getting a blue rarity over trash, a green rarity over blue and some marginally significant yellow rarity over a green. You would see differences in data trends for sure if you were comparing magic find and trash vs blue rarity. That’s where the impact is the most.

i have the same issue, i can connect and the game works as it usually does for about 30 seconds then my attacks or interactions with NPCs stop working but i can stil receive dammage, and a bit after that it usually disconnects me, i ran the diagnostic test that can be found on the support section, and as i do not understand the results i will attach it to this post.
i hope this problem can be solved for the few of us that have it, because as it is, the game is unplayable.
You have 22% packet loss at level3 in Washington. Anet can’t address that. You can contact your ISP and ask them to talk to the node owner of level 3 in Washington to fix it. Provide them with that data.
Whatever you want to think is irrelevant. When the lag hits in NA everybody talks about it in the map chat. And I watch my ping never move yet everything becomes unresponsive, then it goes back to normal, then back again and so on and this happens to everybody in the map and only when a zerg fight happens.
So any argument that it is my computer is foolish and I have seen entire map chats talking about it and have experienced myself for around 10k hours total of game time. It is the same result. When the zergs fight (WHich is the point of WvW may I remind you) the game lags and falls apart.
Specifying this occurs in WvW zergs and not in other game modes is relevant to this discussion. You did not do that in the first post.
Have you a link? I seem to have missed that Dev statement. I like to keep my references handy.
It has been buried in the WvW forums but for a bit a dev was giving live feed about him troublshooting EU servers. He discovered that the CPU was running 99% when zergs collided. He then later went silent and was never seen posting again.
I will keep looking for it assuming ANET didn’t just delete it entirely.
Yeah… During a Zerg is not the same as server problems during prime time. Maybe certain WvW servers during prime time. Your first post and title are misleading.
I am a returning player. I recently returned for ls3. I have never had connection issues before. I am doing very frequently. I cannot que pvp because of the quickness with which I get returned to character screen. I lag out of world maps at a slower pace but it will happens several times per one single event. Is there any help for this? I am experiencing no isp problems other than gw2. Thanks
As suggested, run ping plotter and post the result. Your understanding of the Internet is a bit incorrect as your ISP can be fine, and connection to other servers can be fine, but your connection to servers in Texas where gw2 is may have issues, however, that is not Anets fault. So run the test if you want to find where the issue is.
Can you type /ip in game when you get lag and post it. It’s strange those IP addresses do not come up for me as being active. But you do have packet loss starting from you ISP that trickles down into Anet servers.

If it was Anet everyone would be having this issue. You should run ping plotter or do a tracert and post the results here. Most likely you have issues with your internet after your ISP.
Were you doing the story? ThAts part of a mission with the trumpet.
And yet, magically, newer players are not drowning in tomes like older players are. Not every package has to cater exclusively to veteran players, most of whom already have extra character slots in the first place. This one was clearly aimed at newer players
Not even a newer player here and I snagged the bundle as I’m not drowning in tomes quite yet. Next time I make a character it’ll be tomes to Lv 10, personal story for the key, scroll to 30, 10 tomes for the next personal story step level for a key. By the time I’m done with the 20-40 story, should be around Lv 60 and ready for the next story key, then tomes to finish off to 80 if needs be.
Just need to decide what I’m making next >.<
The scroll takes you to 30. Why would you use tomes to 10?
Also I would prefer to do more than watch the dragons.

Did you try different methods? Like in game or in a different browser.
You need mastery points too and those are found by doing the story achievements or throughout the world. Doing the story itself provides some XP but really doing anything, such as events, provides just as much XP if not more. You can get boosters for laurels, use food/utility, use a Herod banner or XP banner. There are old boosters that stack with the new boosters but you might not have any of those. Honestly I wouldn’t worry too much about the boosters. Just make sure you always use food/utility and then look around for a banner if there are any.
For raids engi is situational. Mostly it’s only desired for VG, and that is only viper engi using dual pistols. Necro is preferred for condi damage over engi especially for double epi.
Ele is king for DPS in raids so you can’t go wrong with ele if you are looking at raiding. You will always be a desired class unless the meta drastically shifts.
What random freezing and pausing? I dont have any of that. Maybe you have lag but Anet can’t fix that for you.
The frequency at which issues appear with the 64 bit client in the support sub forum is naturally much greater than the issues the majority of the player base experience. You cannot point to 20-30 posts and say this is a frequent issue. That’s surely less than 1% of the player base.
I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be addressed. But you have to understand the perspective of the issue.
It’s staff ele. The range is 1200. A ranger can go farther however their DPS does not come close to staff ele. Over 1000 you are looking at line of sight issues anyway so Rangers 1500 range isn’t always that advantageous.

But if you are an ele and having an issue with that room just equip rebound, mist form, arcane shield and lightning flash. If you need practice just roll that fractal a few times until you can get to the different spots without an issue. Shields aren’t needed but make it easier. Practice with or without them. I do this with minimal issues on ele at higher levels.
I understand you are frustrated. But there’s plenty of groups doing this daily with pugs without issue.
You should level rev and war then alternate playing both. I am very proficient at 5 professions that I can raid/dungeon/fractal with and I rotate between them because sticking with one class as a “main” is boring to me after a week or so.
Weapon swapping for both rev and war are minimally used. Rev you swap for CC to staff or hammer if you must ranged. War you swap to maybe mace/shield for CC or just sword/warhorn for mobility then rifle or longbow if you must range. Weapon swapping isn’t used much for either profession and of course war uses greatsword mainly and rev uses sword mainly. You could get away with rev doing sword/sword I stress of mets sword / axe.

Maybe this is an intended feature, maybe this is an annoying bug, I don’t know. But I’m inclined to believe it’s the latter since the quickness stomp has been removed to allow people to actually come back from downed state.
I couldn’t do anything during this downstate.
When this happened, I thought someone was hacking since it was already a weird match (so many and frequent bursts that it wasn’t normal anymore). But when I watched the footage, I noticed that the mesmer was stomping the elementalist, the elementalist went into mist form, and I got stomped instead.
Fun if you are on the executing end, not fun if you’re on the receiving end. Even if this is an intended feature, please consider disallowing retargeting stomps.

That’s intended. You can do the same thing with blink stomp I believe. Where you start stomping someone who is downed then blink to another downed to finish the stomp.

Yeah gold sellers would have a hay day with that. And what would the “bank” do when it came time to collect? There would have to be some sort of consequence line being stuck in LA or something. People would still beg.

Yes and while we are at it can we increase volume for the howler. You really can’t hear it at all….. Especially on temptest skills.
You can always transmute it. The new weapon skins do not have all the stat option when it comes to crafting them.

I am struggling with connection issues too. It`s now about a week that I have huge laggs (especially in WvW) and frequently disconnections. First I suspected my providers service, but as other online-games work fine it must be an issue from Anet’s side and their server technics. Hopefully things are getting better.
