If a theory that Lyssa is among us as Jennah/Anise so then it’d be right if Jennah gave us her divine protection.

Isn’t it weird that we met her just before Balthazar’s revelation? Perhaps she secretly gave her protection to us.

Also to Kasmeer because she was close to the Queen and Countness all the time. Marjory was looking at Kas, not Balthazar, same Taimi.

Anise didn’t look like she’d be upset that Lazarus came back as she’d know what is going on.

It looks a bit like cooperating between Balthazar and Lyssa but it doesn’t look like they’d cooperated.

This mirror is for me the most important thing about Balthazar- did he steal it or what?

Anyway I think we’ve got the protection of the god, so then Balthazar did not lose his divinity completely, but he could still make our eyes melt.

The character select music was a bit of a letdown, but the rest was good.

Yes, the demo theme music is .. a bit questionable, compared to the rest of it. Its even more soft and mellow than the map music itself.

Put one of those epic combat themes as the main theme !

The PoF Demo main theme is beautiful but I hope it’ll be changed for more epic one like HoT theme or GW2 Overture. I think Balthazar Theme’d fit perfectly.

Jermey Soul isn’t that good. But whoever did these soundtracks for PoF and HoT is seriously talented at ArenaNet and I am glad they aren’t using Jermey Souls anymore.

My favorite song is still Mordermoth final battle.

IIRC, Lief and Lana Chapelle are ANet’s head composers now.

Nope, she left GW2 Team right after HoT launched (she is a transgender and she was Leif then).
The head composer is Maclaine Diemer for like 3-4 years. J. Soule composed the music for GW 1 and 2 but he was never a part of GW2 Team.

He composed the music for LS1, 2 and 3. But the Battle on the Beachmaker was composed by Lena Chappelle. She also composed Sanctum Sprint theme. Twisted Marionette Battle theme was composed by M. Diemer.

In LS2 he composed almost all of the soundtrack- Shadow of the Dragon, The Silverwastes and Dry Top music- this ‘sandy’ music can be heard in the PoF map. L. Chappelle composed the Mystery Cave one.

In HoT L. Chappelle composed Battle for Tarir, Tarir the Forgotten City and Mordremoth Theme. Rest of the HoT soundtrack was composed by M. Diemer.

Lion’s Arch themes were composed by M.D.- Lament of LA, LA’s Reborn, also LA’s rebuild.

In LS 3 only M.D. was composing the music- I love Demmi Theme, Caudecus Theme, oh and I forgot to mention he composed all of the Raid music.

Balthazar Theme was composed by M.D. and also Brendon Williams (most likely a new GW2 composer) it seems he likes to use choir voices (‘Liberus Balthazar’ for example in this theme) I think the Combat Music you mentioned was composed by B. Williams, M.D. likes to use instruments.

PS. L. Chappelle left GW2 right after HoT launched.

Rytlock has no blindfold? Wth… I thought he is totally blinded after his journey to the mists.

Why did he wear it during HoT? Why did he say that we cannot get used to see his eyes? What did he see? Did he see the Gods?

Well it looks like he wore a blindfold because he was afraid he’d see the Gods in Tyria during the events in HoT so he was scared. Didn’t want to tell us that because he was totally scared. Same in the 1st part of LS3. So In PoF (at least in the 1st instance) he put off his blindfold.Then he says we can’t get used to his eyes.

Well I cannot wait what he will tell us soon. But even in PoF he will be like “later, cub” what is pretty annoying.

Anyway if Caithe would go to the Mists we’d never find out what she’d see, noo, we’d never get to know she ever was in the Mists. She is mysterious as hell but Rytlock’s mystery is starting to be annoying…

Anyway I am looking forward to the story. Can’t wait.

We’ve heard of Balthazar who wants consume the Dragons’ magic. But we are heading to the Crystal Desert- the territory of the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik who the Destiny’s Edge fought with few years ago.

But it’s surprising that Kralkatorrik isn’t the equal villain as Balthazar.

We saw some pics of Branded and the dragon thingy but no sign of Kralkatorrik itself.

I hope we’ll get another trailer (maybe 1-2 weeks before release of PoF) who will show Kralkatorrik (something like the concept teaser before HoT).

We’ll see.

But out of topic- I hope Aurene Mount will be added in the future. That’d be cool.

This is the version ft. by Sharm. The song is called “The Zephirite Song”- it’s about Glint and her legacy after her death.

Buuut if he kills a dragon so then Tyria will be destroyed aaaand Balthazar will rule over…. over what? xD Quaggans?? If Tyria will be destroyed I am sure the Quaggans will survive and the next ‘Guild Wars 3’ will be all about newly built Quaggan’s kingdom.

Their master will be Quaggan ‘Leave ya’.

And Balthazar will rule over Faren who will somehow survive the destruction of Tyria because he was taking shower. And the 1st expansion will be called Pants of Faren- a breathtaking history about where Faren’s pants are and we will make a journey to Quaggan Desert and Faren will find his pants there worshipped by Quaggan.

Balthazar wants to be an only god… So I think that other Gods “dimmed his light”. Doesn’t look like Balthazar is cooperating with Lyssa, at least we know nothing about it.

What’s about Palawa Joko? Will his forces unite with ours to kill Balthazar?

I think I saw Rytlock, Kasmeer and Canach at the trailer.

Kasmeer looks like somebody smashed her face 1000 times. She looks so sad, disappointed, exhausted. I don’t know it’s a good idea to let Kas go to Crystal Desert. But I hope she will become Mirage.

I think I saw Canach- seems he is also interested in this extraordinary event. I like him so he is welcome.

I think Rytlock is going to be one of the major characters. I can’t wait to see what he saw in the Mists!!

Marjory… I think she will not recover for now. She’s obviously weakened.

Braham- it seems he is going to come back to our team. I hope…

Rox- she didn’t die thankfully. I kiss your feets ma’am xD

Aurene is obviously going to be the most important character.

Caithe- I hope she will join us in Crystal Desert. But she will likely find her sneaky way to get there. We will be just beaching and she will be already there. xD

I am really surprised PoF starts in 1,5 months! Wow. I love all the new specs. Mounts look amazing and maps are just wow. Anet take my money! xD

I am happy it’s going to be PvE expansion. It’s what I was waiting for.

I also didn’t expect it’d be so complex announcement. In HoT’s PAX we saw some pics and poor explanations but in this announcement they showed us so many amazing things, the trailer is amazing and recap trailer has a narrator!!!!!! This is what I was waiting for a year! But they give a “mind blowing” scene too often- I mean Trahearne…

I’ve seen many comments, posts that there are not informations what is going on, why are we working for Shining Blade, who is the Eye of Janthir, why does Kerida want to kill Lazarus, how are Human reacting to Balthazar’s return?

You can find all the answers in 2 instances, not unnecesarly search the whole wiki while you can find many answers in only two instances: at the palace (1st part of chapter 1) and at Shining Blade HQ (after completing ‘Shining Blade Secrets’ chapter you can search some secret boxes, search the whole office and desk. You can find tons of information about Shining Blade, Queen Salma, Livia, Anise. You can talk to the other members of SB about Kerida for example, about their ancient blade.
At the 1st instance you can talk to Valette and she will tell you something about the Eye of Janthir. You can also talk to a guy who is asking the question we were asking before ep. 6 and the Commander tries to answer them.

So you did have explanations in the last episode and you just had to play in sneaky thief.

Curiousity is great and my last advice is just walk around the instances and search for additional dialogues.

Your accusations at Anet that they didn’t put anything what could explain what’s going on are stupid and should not exist because in the last episode they worked really hard to not only put amazing story of gw2 but also they put many explanations to the players who did not play GW1.

First I thought was it is Kralkatorrik but how one of the most powerful beings in Tyria can perish so easily?

This dragon has really similar head as Glint. And he is in Crystal Desert. I think it’s the older brother of Aurene and 2nd scion of Glint- Gleam.

Now I can see how Aurene will be important in the expansion. I thought she would play a huge role in the finale but it seems she is going to fight and save Tyria with us.

I want to make my 1st speculations today:

1) We’ll start in Divinity’s Reach- meeting with Anise, Jennah, Logan. This is why we became the members of the Shining Blade- we will be representing Queen in Crystal Desert and we are her personal guards- this is awesome!!
2) We should meet with our Guild and talk to Braham. But Braham must make the decision to lay down bow and start to fight with us.
3) We should go to Tarir and I think Aurene will finally gain the whole magic and wisdom of Tyria and we will go with her and her guardian- Caithe to end Balthazar’s waywardness.

Next expansion will be focusing on Aurene and her role in Tyria.

E is Anise!!!
During the mission with Shining Blade she said she was watching us. So it makes sense now.

The letters about Kasmeer’s importance, caring of Logan. She really likes Kas.

Anise was watching us but she represents Shining Blade so for these years they were watching us. And now we are the part of Shining Blade- that’s awesome.

Amazing episode! But no Aurene…

So what if Anise is hiding something as well? I love how long this episode was.

We are heading to Crystal Desert!
So Balthazar wants to consume Kralkatorrik’s magic. Wow.

Crystal Desert will not be the same place, it’s turning into Balthazar’s inferno.

I remember LS2 mostly fondly. There were some boring political bits, but overall there was a clear direction and ramp-up to facing M.

LS2…. wasn’t quite as clear. Lazarus is back. No, wait, he’s not. Primodius is active! Oh, no he’s not. Jormag is active too.. or is he? Kas is gone. Kas is back. Kas is gone again. Braham’s back.. oh, he’s gone again. At least Rytlock’s still here.. oh, he’s gone too.

It’s episode 6 and I still have no idea where this is going. I hope this episode ties up some loose ends instead of creating new ones.

Personally my favorite thing in LS3 was coming back to human matters- Caudecus, White Mantle, Jennah, Anise, Mesmer Collective. That was really exciting.

Let me make the summary and I am looking forward to your opinions about this summary.

Well I just realized that first 3 secs of the trailer were actually talking what’s the point of the finale xD

About this theory that Lazarus may come back.

I think Kormir or other god is too easy to guess that one of them stayed behind.

I don’t think that consuming the bloodstone energy by Balthazar can mean that we will not see Lazarus anymore.
So it seems Lazarus may not need any magic to rebuild himself just his horcruxes, sorry aspects.

Well I personally hope that ‘one stayed behind’ means one of 6 Human Gods, but Lazarus was also thread from Raid with Xera.
I just want to remind you that the aspects disappeared and we know nothing about what happened with them. Until this disappearance won’t be explained I will still think that Lazarus is alive.

But the theory I defended so much about Lazarus is Lazarus… failure xDDD

I suspected that Lazarus can be a human God- Kormir, Lyssa or Balthazar.

After the fight with Xera we didn’t find his aspects. They disappeared.

Konig has really interesting theory that these aspects work in the similar way as the horcruxes of Voldemort. I mean every aspect has its own life and doesn’t necessarily need all 5 to exist as it own.

Lazarus thread wasn’t completed yet- we have to find out what happened to 4 of his aspects.

If Konig theory is correct then we should see more about Lazarus the Dire.

Look at the map near Cursed Shore. What’s that map? Could it be the new map?

Personally I hope the new map will be placed on eastern Orr- near Arah and near the pass between Arah and Cantha. (If the xpack is going to be there.)

I suspect why there is not any mention about Norn and Braham in the trailer.

I think we will hear at the beginning that Rox convinced Braham to not go into Jormag’s teeth.

Rox is the major character in this season and I hope her task will be completed.
She is so loyal to us and she is friendly.

If her task will be completed successfully I will kiss her feets. xD
And she will become my favorite character because it’s hard to listen to Braham’s cries, anger everyday and it is very likely she will calm him down.

I expect some kind of summit just on the strength of the dialogue in the trailer. You missed Fort Trinity from your list, however. Would also be a mixed race venue and a symbol of unity.

I re-listened to the trailer and Anise’s voice sounds like she speaks a speech.

One of my speculations for LS3 is that all races will meet on the Summit. The reason of this sudden summit would be that:
1) The god is back and tries to do something “unexpected”. I have no regrets to Balthazar. He is home and can do whatever he wants. This is why for us it is dangerous.
2)Anise says that “the dragons endanger the whole world” and “Kryta must make uncommon allies”. This is weird because Kryta can find help from any race. Charr surprisingly are the most loyal (Like during the battle for Lake Doric).
The presence of Anise in the trailer surprises me the most.
I think it’s likely to see some kind of the summit. Who would be there?
1- Anise and Jennah
2- Phlunt and Taimi
3- Knut and another Norn
4- Caithe/Canach
5- Rytlock/Smodur/Almorra
6- the Marshall- Logan
7- the Pact Commander

Unlikely to see Kas or Jory- they have much to discuss.

I would love to see the last minute summit because we are standing before the most important things in the history of this game. For me ep 6 is the last chance to give me a reason to. come back to this game.

MO said ep5 was important but the finale is just be or not be of this game imo.

The trailer doesn’t give anything to prove there will be the summit, they wanted to show chars pics more than show the content and what is going to happen really. The trailer like the ls3 ones are good for speculators but the quality is low and the trailer missleads. Maybe somebody likes it but I don’t.

Everybody forgets about her. She also has the signs of being a prophet.

I think she will take the major part in the episode.

Who would be “the god who stayed behind”? We have 2 major possibilities:

1) Kormir- she didn’t take part in Exodus so most likely she stayed here in Tyria and was watching us and helped us (my theory is that she is “E”.) After her ascension she said that “a lot of things must be repaired”.

2) Lyssa- we found out that Balthazar was using the mirror of Lyssa. I think “one stayed behind” can mean that Lyssa stood behind this disguise. She was helping him.

The guy with white beard is most likely the char of a dev.

the voice at the end is unlikely the Duchess Chrysanthea- new leader of NC.

It is Livia/Kormir.

Anise in the trailer says that Kryta must make uncommon allies. I think it means the alliance with another Human territory like Cantha or Elona.

But anyway it seems that Human know that Balthazar is back
Anise just wants to find something what will be continuing the Human race.

Balthazar the ancient God is going to cause something cataclysmic. The faith of Human is going to collapse.

I wonder what Jennah will do now

Human are in the dead end. Worst than Sylvari because the faith of Human stayed almost untouched and now after 1330 years all what they believed is going to become the trash.

Anet trailers since Rising Flames are really chaotic. The trailer Out of the Shadows was amazing and reminded my about Ls2 trailers.

LS2 trailers were amazing and epic and actually showed what is going to happen. The same Ls1 ones.

LS3 trailers show more chars pics than content and this is what I hate in these trailers.

The name of this episode looks like devs had not idea how to name it. One Path Ends sounds odd. But maybe it was used as a sign how 2nd expansion will be called. PoF? Perhaps it means: Path of something.

Anyway what I love in the trailers is music- it’s only what I love in them.

Echoes of the past was the best recap of LS2 so sad they didn’t use the same way in OPE trailer.

I am hyped because I am looking forward to the possible cinematics after episode’s end.

I just realized that the number of episodes have the connection with the Gods.

Let’s see:
Out of the Shadows- the secrets were revealed and the truth had won. The truth came out of the shadows (Kormir)

Rising Flames- the destruction and danger all over Ring of Fire but the destruction turned out with victory and Aurene was born in Tarir. (Melandru)

A Crack in the Ice- death and cold everywhere, the ice breaks down and also friendship. (Grenth)

The Head of the Snake- a lot of illusions and mesmer magic. (Lyssa)

Flashpoint- fire and heat are everywhere, flames are getting closer and we are getting closer to them. Everything is burning. (Balthazar)

One Path Ends- as I can see on the trailer that warmth and beauty is coming back to the place who was the hell for many years. Once Dwayna breathed the spring to Orr, gave the life, now her spring and beauty do it once more- the trees and the flowers are the signs of incoming reborn. Though dangers and death are still there, but the light is lighting much brighter. (Dwayna)

So I hope another Sylvari won’t be sacrificed again at the end xD.

And it seems Kasmeer told Jennah and Anise that the god is back.

So now I know the reason- Balthazar made his another base in Orr that would explain lava and balthazaric creatures who look like his hounds.

Lava is most likely created by Balthazar.

I think Kryta will make the alliance with Canthan- that would explain boat.

Alliance with Joko maybe?

I think that Jennah and Anise aren’t Lyssa because it’s clearly said that Krytan throne will make alliances.

One stayed behind does not mean Balthazar, I think it is about another god who never left Tyria- I think it’s Kormir- in Gw1 we saw her leaving but perhaps she never left Tyria. My theory is that Kormir is “E”.
