Turrets hit for 3-4k per attack! Crazy! Maybe you have some kind of super secret amaze turrets that we don’t have! In that case nerf Kibbles! For everyone else, turrets don’t hit hard at all! You don’t need 2 people to beat a turret Engineer! You don’t even need staff Eles! Vee Wee beats turret Engineers all the time! Vee Wee plays condi Engi!

Again my frands! Just because turret Engineers can, for some reason, win solo queues doesn’t mean it should be nerfed! Balance isn’t done based on the whims of low ranked players! Turret builds aren’t good! They have a buttload of weaknesses and have zero mobility! Bad! Very bad! A nerf to this useless build will just hurt real Engineers and their only viable elite!

Here’s some free advice, courtesy of Vee Wee! Don’t get hit by an overcharged Rocket Turret! Don’t get hit by an overcharged Thumper Turret! The Rocket Turret is pretty fragile and is basically a Turret Engi’s only source of damage! Kill it! You can circle a Rocket Turret and it will never hit you!

The game should be balanced at high levels! Turret Engis are complete garbage at high levels! They are even garbage at mid level! If the game was balanced based on the whims of the average hotjoin player, then… well Vee Wee doesn’t even want to imagine that scenario! Vee Wee bets that Heartseeker would do no damage at all! Turret Engis are fine!

Edit: This is also why Vee Wee thinks Anet should consult top players of every class when making balance decisions! Valve often talks with the best Counter Strikes players on map decisions and gun changes and whatever! They also consult with the best Dota2 players in the world when it comes to hero balance! Anet should do the same! Developers are just developers! They are not the best players!

I don’t think this is the case! Grenade Kit is the best kit to get blinded in if you’re going to get blinded! This is because you throw 3 grenades! If one misses the other 2 may hit! It all depends on when they land! You were probably standing in a smoke field!

Turret placement is fine! Turret Engis are godawful and have a bunch of weaknesses already! Increasing the cast time of Healing Turret just nerfs every single Engineer out there, and nerfs the only condition cleanse on a class with hands down the worst condition removal in the game!

Condi builds apply conditions! Who knew!

Transmute is fine! You just need to adapt your playstyle! Don’t lead off with powerful conditions! It’s why Vee Wee never Magnets a Terrormancer unless Vee Wee knows Reaper’s Protection is on cooldown! Or maybe Vee Wee wants to bait out the fear chain cooldown so Vee Wee can stunbreak! Adapt!

First Static Discharge does pretty poor damage! Vee Wee tested a SD build recently and it was just not worth taking! Second, if you cc them and go behind them, they can’t hit you with anything! It will even go on a short cooldown! This is especially useful with immobilize! You cannot turn while immoblized!

Vee Wee posted a few suggestions for Mortar in previous threads! But here are some of Vee Wee’s ideas!

• Place Mortar down and target an area! It will bombard the target area at steady intervals for a certain amount of time! What type of projectiles it launches is up for debate! Maybe we could activate the turret again to change the bombardment location and the type of projectile it shoots! Regular attacks could be like once every 3 seconds! You could add in caltrops mortars once every 3 shots! Chill mortars once every 5 shots! etc etc.

• Turn it into a pseudo-kit that works similar to a Guardian tome! Once activated it could transform you into a rocket launcher wielding thillybear with powerful attacks! The transformation would last like 10-20 seconds!

• Turn it into a full kit! Restrictions would have to be in place so it won’t be overpowered! Vee Wee recommended a charge system! Each skill would have a certain amount of charges! Use of an ability spends one charge and each charge has a 30 second cooldown! Skills can only have a max of x amount of charges and charges can only come off cooldown one at a time!

Jump dodging is a huge risk for a small reward! If you mess up, you could end up just jumping instead of dodging! When you jump, you can’t do anything and you’ll probably just eat the Eviscerate or whatever you were trying to dodge!! Jump dodging is better for movement! If you’re in combat and don’t have swiftness, jump dodging moves you forward a great distance! A good example is carrying the orb on Spirit Watch!

No high level Engi runs 30/0/0/30/10 or 30/0/0/20/20 condi! 30/0/0/30/10 is the old Engi meta! This was back when hambows were crazy ridiculous and Protection Injection was really necessary! The proof is the only condi Engi in ToL winning the tournament! His build is his variant of Vee Wee’s build! We weren’t really talking about Vee Wee’s build, but that seems like it would be more meta than Earth Sigil variant build doesn’kitten

Also meta doesn’t mean “widely used by Engineers”! Turret builds are widely used by Engineers! Does that mean it’s meta! No! Turret builds are awful! Meta means the best! Vee Wee had a couple of HD Shadowplay clips of beating a terrormancer, power necro, and s/d thief 1v1 as well as delaying a 3v1 for over a minute! But Vee Wee accidentally did something and now these clips are gone! They are on Vee Wee’s Twitch vods but it’s poopy quality and muted! Vee Wee is really upset!

But yeah Stone Shards is just so terrible and it is really hampering Vee Wee’s build! Stone Shards should be a little slower than Icy Shards! Not cast and do nothing for a full second! It’s crazy!

Burning is one of the strongest conditions! If Flamethrower applied more burn on the auto attack, it would just be too strong! Flamethrower can already apply really heavy condi burst! Landing all your Incendiary Ammo hits applies a burn with ridiculous duration! Vee Wee suggested that Flame Jet have a reduced cast time and the burn proc is doubled at the end! This would make the burn slightly easier to apply and give permanent burning though with obvious counter play! But Anet never listens to Vee Wee!

Actually Vee Wee thinks Elixir Infused Bombs is really great for sustain! It’s just you have to go 30 Inventions to get it! Inventions is, like we covered already, the worst tree Engineers have! If Elixir Infused Bombs replaced that useless Smoke Bomb on disable grandmaster in the Explosives tree, I’d wager we’d see a lot more builds that focus on Bomb Kit!

• Vee Wee did not mean to put Vee Wee’s own personal build (that Vee Wee has been running for over a year and shared with everyone to use) as meta! Vee Wee just copied the code of the “meta” Engi build to upload Vee Wee’s own personal build!
• Vee Wee gave the “meta” build 1 star because Earth Sigil, which is still being suggested on the site contrary to what you are claiming! Prot Injection over Backpack Regen! To quote Ostricheggs, “I take Backpack Regen so I don’t die like a boogerface (He used an unfrandlier word)!” Also the fact that you said Vee Wee’s suggestions weren’t valid! How can a self proclaimed non Engi player tell Vee Wee, an Engi player of 2+years, that Vee Wee’s suggestions aren’t valid! Vee Wee only made suggestions because of the reasons above! Then you guys flamed my suggestions!

Vee Wee had not played solo q for over a month because Vee Wee absolutely hates Skyhammer! Vee Wee was rank 91% and Vee Wee wanted to see what Vee Wee’s rank would be after one solo q loss!
