I disagree my frand! I don’t think shield is that great for PvP! The cooldowns are way too long! Plus Rangers aren’t really a threat at all! Also you should try to avoid standing on the point if you can unless you really have to! Additionally if you run shield, you’d have to modify your build to take Bomb Kit or something with burning which weakens the build! If you take shield with stunbreak + Tool Kit + Grenades you just lose too much burning uptime even with Balthazar Runes! Burning is your strongest condition! You need lots of it!

Abjured has been around just as long as TCG have! Maybe longer! These players have been playing together for quite a long time! They were just never on a team together though 3/5 Abjured members have been on a team together years ago and were one of the top teams on NA!

My minimum ping when playing GW2 is something like 200ms. Half the time its closer to 300, and I’ve seen it go over 800 for extended periods. When I play WoW its like 40-50, so I don’t think it’s my internet.

This is technically the wrong forum to ask in I guess, but ping doesn’t really matter that much for other parts of the game.

If you live in China but play on NA servers, obviously you’re going to get high ping.

Hello my frand Justin O’Dell! This happened to me again just in case you aren’t aware of the problem! I finished a game, loaded into HotM, queued up for another game, left queue because I had things to do, and then it placed me into a match! Luckily I came back just in time before getting dishonored! This could be a real problem! What if I wasn’t back! I would’ve been dishonored for something I didn’t even do!

The DPS portion of celestial is fine, the defense portion needs a nerf. It has 800 more stats than a typical amulet so the stats definitely need shaving.

I think at the very base of it all, celestial amulet could be “okay” in concept. But, with engi’s and ele’s might stacking as high as they do, it promotes continuous power creep the longer the fight goes on. It’s really a broken mechanic that’s being abused way too much. If celestial amulet was just defensive in nature, I probably would have no problem with it.

Where do you get Engi might stacking from! Engis don’t stack might! The only way they get might is through Battle Sigil and Strength/Hoelbrak Runes which any other class can do! Please don’t lump Engineers with Elementalists! It’s crazy to think that a class that gets 100-0’d by any lesser skilled condi Necromancer in 3 seconds flat could be considered OP!

Also the amulet is fine! Obviously the total amount of stats that Celestial Amulet gives needs to be higher than other amulets because the highest stat on the Celestial Amulet is much much lower than even the secondary stats on other ones! If you matched the number of stat points given it will just be the old Celestial Amulet, ie totally useless! Worse than even Rampager Amulet! Geez louise my frands it’s like you just randomly pluck things out of the air and try to convert them into “issues”! Crazy!

Anyway my frands like I said in the other thread, even if you do nerf the stats on the Celestial Amulet, DD Elementalists still are the only class with permanent vigor, have crazy amounts of protection uptime, tons of sustain for them and their team, condi clear for their entire team, crazy burn uptime, stacking 25 might for their entire team, etc! Clearly the issue isn’t Celestial Amulet but rather the fact that a DD Elementalist can be a better bunker than a Guardian against both power and condi classes and still have more mobility and also deal crazy amounts of damage!

Changes that Vee Wee would like to see!

Battle Sigil and blast finishers inside fire fields grant 2 stacks of might instead of 3! (PvP only!)
Sigil of Intelligence makes your next 2 attacks crit down from 3!

• Drake’s Breath burn duration reduced to from 3 to 2 seconds! Cooldown increased from 5 to 10 seconds!
• Ring of Fire duration reduced from 6 to 5 seconds!
• Frozen Burst removed blast finisher!
• Lightning Whip’s first hit damage reduced by 50%! Second hit damage increased by 50%!
• Armor of Earth stability and protection time decreased to 5 from 6 seconds!
• Elemental Shielding now master trait! Geomancer’s Freedom now adept trait!
• Removed vigor from Soothing Disruption!
• Renewing Stamina cooldown increased from 5 to 10 seconds!
• Shatterstone now applies 2 stacks of bleed for 10 seconds instead of 4 stacks of vulnerability for 15 seconds! How does jagged icicle that explodes into tiny razor sharp icy shrapnel not apply bleed! It’s really ruining my condi ele build!

Also for anyone complaining about might stack changes affecting PvE! Thief Revealed is 4 seconds in PvP, 3 seconds in PvE/WvW! Old Dhuumfire was 4 seconds in PvE/WvW, 2 seconds in PvP! Old Monk Runes were 15% boon duration in PvE/WvW, 10% in PvP! (Hey what do you know! Anet knew boon stacking was OP as poop!) PvP only might stack change would be just swell! Wahoo!

I’m not trolling your thread you thilly bear! You say this thread is about Celestial Amulets but really you’re just taking pot shots at the Abjured! I know you’re upset because you can’t beat them but let’s take a look at why!

• Your condi Necro loses to Engi 1v1! Player skill issues! How do you expect to beat a team if you can’t win a fight that you absolutely 100% should win every time!
• One of your team comps is Mercy Rune Warrior, 2 condi Necro, 2 ranger! Another is Mercy Rune Warrior and 2 power Necros! What are you thinking! Get a better team comp! Stop with the Mercy Rune Warriors! Clearly that doesn’t work because in your 100% loss rate against the Abjured, the only constant seems to be the useless Mercy Rune Warrior! How are you going to res through all that cleave! Use your brains meng! Your strategy is literally planning for a loss! It’s like traiting for downstate!
• You say Celestial is the meta, and yet you run none of the few classes that can utilize this amulet well! And then you talk about adapting to the meta! What!
• I have never complained about Celestial Amulet! There are like 3/8 classes that can use this amulet! Nerfing this amulet just makes it unusable for everybody! The damage output of this amulet is TERRIBLE without might stacks! I have only stated that Elementalists are overpowdered but not because of Celestial! Burst engies can drop you within 2-3sec.

When it comes to burst power, Ele has probably the highest spike damage in the game! Zerker Engis don’t even come close!

YES. Then after this forced abandoning of the queue happens, one person in the party gets a match even though they weren’t in the queue. And they usually accept, not knowing the rest of the party isn’t with them, and the group is further divided.

The last time I logged on Guild Warts 2, 10 seconds after the HotM loading screen it put me into a match when I didn’t even queue! Maybe these issues are related!

There are so many CSGO tournaments! Right now they are streaming two tournaments for B-list teams! One with a $10,000 prize and one with a 50,000$ prize pool! (a + 5 + $ is censored lol) Once again they have tiers to separate players and teams based on skill level for more esports! In Guild Warts 2 there are no tiers so the D-list teams go against the A-list for huge 500-0 stomps! How discouraging is that for new teams! Very! It’s like taking a middle school basketball team and matching them up against the Knicks! And yes there was a $250k tournament a few weeks ago and another $250k tournament a few months ago! And many more before that and many more soon to come!

But if we’re talking about the esports side, Counter Strikes has been around for like over 5x the time that Guild Warts 2 has been around! So that aspect is irrelevant! What is relevant is how they set everything up! They have tiers! They have good matchmaking based off their tier system! They have a team that not only balances well, but balance in a reasonable amount of time! Recently in CSGO there was an uproar over a map and how certain people exploited a feature! Well it was fixed in under a week! How long did Anet take to change Skyhammer! Over a goshdarn year! And it’s still terrible! Anet is just TOO SLOW! Slow and steady does not win the race! If the rabbit wasn’t a lazy lagomorph, he would have won! He would have won 5 times over!

Then PvPers will actually have a goal to work towards! A lowly commoner can aspire to rise in the ranks to become a legend of the arena! A real Cinderella story that this game desperately needs! This seems like it would be a decent defensive sigil if it affected everything around you and not just who you’re facing! 2 scenarios for you to test out my frand! First are the snowballs projectiles and are they subject to projectile hate (projectile reflect, projectile absorb, etc)! Second, can these snowballs be dodged, blinded, blocked, etc!

Sigil of Cleansing is still underwhelming! Even if the Engi has a huge condi weakness, the sigil just isn’t worth taking!

Vee Wee does not recommend running a turret build in PvP! It’s just not a good build! The celestial Engi as well as condi Engis really dont’ have a hard time with Rangers at all! Vee Wee recommends running an actual build that’s useful against other things besides longbow Rangers, which aren’t even that good anyway! If you are having trouble against them, just practice and use the advice that Vee Wee gave previously!

Once again the top Mesmers can pull off their build because A. they are better than you and have the positioning and knowledge to not waste time and do something like die 1v1 vs a D/D Ele! And B. they have a team to support them! The team supports them with condi clears, with peels if they’re getting focused, with boons, with heals, etc. These things don’t ever happen in your level of play! Sorry! And even if you do have a team, your team isn’t nearly as good as their team! So please stop complaining and take some condi clear! Again the best Mesmers in the world who invented the build that you’re copying right now say it’s ok to take condi clear if you have issues with condis!

And Vee Wee has played Mesmer and still plays Mesmer pretty frequently because it’s fun! Vee Wee takes condi removal because WHO KNEW THAT TAKING CONDI REMOVAL HELPS WITH CONDI REMOVAL!

PS: If you took 50 seconds of burning damage from a D/D Ele who does like 400 burn damage/second per tick, what the heck were you doing fighting a D/D Ele for like 3+ minutes! Wasting time that’s what!

Once again builds aren’t set in stone! If you look at ToL1, Helseth ran Null Field against condi heavy teams! If you look at Supcutie’s shatter guide, he recommends Lyssa Runes and/or Null Field if you have trouble with conditions! So please just because you saw some thuper good Mesmer in a tournament run a build doesn’t mean you should copy it to the letter! First, they are better players than you and tailor their own builds for their own playstyle! Second, they are better players than you and understand positioning and know when to dodge the damaging condition applying hits! Third, they play with a team and, especially in the Mesmer’s case, will support them with peels and condi clears and boons etc! So if you are personally having trouble with conditions, grab some anti condition skills or runes! The top Mesmers in the game who invented the build that you copied gave you the OK! Good luck!

Vee Wee thinks their only job is to be annoying pseudo bunkers and stack 25 might for anyone nearby! And their moves are really telegraphed and they’re the only class to have their moves telegraphed by sound! If you hear FEAR THE FIRES OF BULBASAUR, make sure to dodge the Burning Speed that’s going to come! Oh do you have a lot of burning! Well you can be sure Fire Grab is going to come next! Is a huge ball of lightning hurdling towards you! Easy dodge! Every time Vee Wee sees a D/D Elementalist it’s always, “Wahoo! They’re not S/F because those guys are the real scary ones!”

Many EU Engineers like to run Bomb Triple Kit! It uses Bomb Kit as the primary source of damage with Pistol/Shield, Tool Kit, and Elixir Gun with the standard Engi trait setup! 30/10/0/20/10 or 30/0/0/30/10 with Balthazar Runes, Doom/Geomancy Sigils!

Who here has noticed the bug where you beat a Guardian and then get hit by his attack even when he’s not around! Vee Wee beat a Guardian 1v1 and then got hit by a Guardian greatsword slice even though nobody was around Vee Wee! Vee Wee was literally not in the vicinity of any allies or enemies! This has happened to Vee Wee many times now, but this time it led to Vee Wee’s death! Vee Wee was at low health! Then the out of combat regen kicked in but then it stopped because Vee Wee got hit by a ghostly Guardian greatsword slice! Because Vee Wee’s health regen was stopped in its tracks, a Thief came in and slayed Vee Wee! It was a fight Vee Wee would have won if Vee Wee had more health! Please help Anet!

If you read any of Vee Wee’s Engineer suggestions from like months ago, Vee Wee suggested more condi clears outside of the meta builds! That means you’d have to sacrifice some sustain, or damage, or swiftness or utilities, or whatever to get extra condi clear! The only condi clears Engis have right now are terrible! Of course the only replies Vee Wee got were “Nyah! Well Vee Wee if Engis get more condi removal, they would have to sacrifice things like sustain, or damage, or swiftness, or utilities, or whatever! Nyah” It’s as if they can’t read! Oh well! That’s what Vee Wee gets when Vee Wee tries to discuss balance with hotjoiners or WvWers!

Golly gee willikers in the skirmishes where both Elementalists were fighting, Vee Wee was so confused which Swirling Winds belonged to Vee Wee’s frand and which Swirling Winds belonged to the enemy team! It really hampered Vee Wee because Vee Wee was running a build where 90% of damage comes from projectiles! Gosh! So confusing! Please help Arenanet! Please add a red aoe outline for enemy Swirling Winds! Also Guardian Sanctuaries!

Thanks for the shoutout my frand Frenk! Vee Wee does not recommend metabattle! The owners of that site have proven to be quite clueless at PvP! Turret Engis are definitely not meta! Turret builds are pretty bad actually as demonstrated in the latest tournaments! Many turret Engis tried! None succeeded! None even came close to succeeding! P/S and P/P are both pretty good for condi builds! It just depends on how you want to play! The way Vee Wee sees it is that if you have more than one form of burning, use P/S! This can be from Bomb Kit or Flamethrower or Flame Turret or even Rocket Boots, though Rocket Kick’s cooldown is pretty long! If Incendiary Powder is your only form of burning, Vee Wee would recommend P/P! Incendiary Powder just isn’t reliable enough and if it gets cleansed, you’re without your strongest condition for the next 10 seconds!

Cam Ron seems to really hate turret Engis! But not in the way that Vee Wee hates them! Vee Wee hates them because Vee Wee loves all Engineer players and it just pains Vee Wee to see them run terrible builds! Cam Ron thinks these builds are actually good and goes around to every single subforum to post about how OP they are! Seems like a player skill issue!

Vee Wee remembers demolishing a Thief as a Gadget Engi! He called Vee Wee the biggest cheese! Cam Ron reminds me of this Thief player! Also never try to insult people by calling them the big cheese! It has the opposite meaning of what you’re trying to convey!
