I found a work-a-round for the bug. For the time being, please click on the Queen’s Jubilee in the top right corner of your screen’s as it leads to the achievements without problem.
I would like to thank the SoS Lion’s Arch map chat for that tidbit of information!

I thought it was something to do with the new finisher tab, but my last attempt was strictly to access the achievements tab, which resulted in an immediate crakitten
ried changing characters, thinking maybe it was just that one, logged into my asura and went to access the achievements: immediate crash.
I’ve sent a bunch of error reports, but I thought I’d let you know on here. I’ll provide a screenshot if that helps.
note: character 1 was in queensdale, character 2 was in black citadel, character 3(one in screenshot) was in LA.

Just an update, this is so far the closest thing I have to looking like the Priest’s of Grenth.
XD the third one’s body position and the 4th one’s beard is sticking out quite a bit.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
unless.. does it require you to finish and get the chest?
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
wait now that I notice it, I have not gotten any credit now that I look at it and I just finished my third one
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
I just noticed this, but if you log off for a while, with the buff for whoever your voting for active, and then come back to do achievements with the buff still ‘active’, and complete an achievement, it doesn’t count towards the amount.
However, re-applying the buff makes it work. I tested it and killed the oakheart champion in Queensdale while having Gnashblade’s buff and got no credit to the gnashblade daily achievement bit, but got credit for the champion kill daily.
Then I re-applied the buff and killed the necessary critters and got credit towards the gnashblade achievement.
So, Anet, there you go. Work your magic. Get to it. lol

Legendary Defenders of Tutorials
Leave your heroic souls there long enough and maybe one day you’ll be able to get custom bags.
Don’t joke about stuff like that, people will attempt.
You know they will.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
So I just got my 5k achievement chest, used the laurels and gold to buy a character slot, and used the experience scroll to make a level 20 in the tutorial.
She is not sidekicked, and kills everything in one shot.
Anet said this type of thing was not supposed to be a part of the game. You are not supposed to go into an area and one-shot enemies like they are ambient creatures, yet here I am doing so lol.
Proof is in the picture, and ingame(I’m on SoS if you wanna see lol)

I hope we are able to complete the meta archivement not only for two weeks.
It would be not fair for those players who couldn’t take part on this event. They have to make it as a permanent archivement.
Or at the very least have a couple of opportunities (every 1-3 months for example) to go and get it. Though I’d be better as a permanent meta achievement to work towards.
My bet is still that the quartz node will only be for either cosmetic skins or for maybe furniture (or something of that ilk) for your home instance (and eventually guild hall).
Or a second quartz node in the open world, so people without their “own” node in the home instance have less disadvantage.
Or.. you know.. you could maybe.. you know do that thing.. that thing where you hop into someone else’s home instance and.. like.. you know.. mine the kitten outta it.. you know? lol
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
More than likely, the armor will be one-time use, or maybe related to RNG drops through the BLC, but the account items will most likely be like HoM stuff.
They did say they would be permanent after all.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
People just calm down. Who cares if its 8 or 10? I’m at 9/10 and even if it doesn’t get fixed, will still get my wings tomorrow regardless.
Just go sit in a corner and do what you normally would do and forget about the achievement, its not going anywhere and the event still has many more days left in it.. Jeeze you guys are so impatient.. >.>

Isn’t a dragon celebration/festival in Tyria kind of like the Allies celebrating Hitler during WWII? Doesnt make much sense to me.
It’s a Dragon Bash man! we’re gunna be fighting dragons and poking fun at them via their holograms! Then we will have dragon themed weapons and armor and poke even more fun at them silly dragons!
No way this could go bad for us Tyrian’s.. Nope. The dragons won’t retaliate at all…… lol..

So I was reading about the event, and it looks like the hat will be available to everyone each day, multiple times a day. So if you truly want the hat, be in L.A., between the 14th and the 17th, at night for the full duration of the fireworks that go off.
Fireworks, as it says on the event page, are going to go off every two hours, so everyone will have a chance at them.
I’m stoked for this event! How about you guys?

My guild tried the training after it was released, we queued it up and activated it and got the separatist in Diessia. After about 10 minutes of trying to locate him, we found him and proceeded to be slaughtered by him, only having him disappear after the mayhem.
I agree with ya, training is too tough for smaller guilds that don’t have the manpower. I’ve thrown this around with my guildies and we think they should have an alternate way to get influence, like perhaps karma to influence(made a topic about it a couple weeks ago).
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
“Use the mines to kill him” mechanics is Mad King’s Clock Tower all over again for me for now.
Even the unequip all your gear while fighting him is same as mad king solo nude killing.
Mechanics not good. After playing Molten alliance dungeon this one feels kittened. (sorry but thats exactly the word that pictures the whole thing for me)
I don’t understand how this fight uses the same mechanics.. MKCT was a timed jumping puzzle, for Canach all you use is a mine detector to change the mines to attack him. MKCT you jumped around, this you walk around changing things to kill a boss. That’s it, and it’s only repeatable once a day so.. I don’t understand your complaint.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
ahh alright, yeah I just got a rank and see it now. RNG sucks, but I get why its in these chests. It doesn’t take much effort to gain a rank.
Thanks for the info guys!
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
“Players who gained World Rank prior to the chests being added will receive 1 additional chest per rank gained until they have received a number equal to the ranks they had gained previously.”
I don’t play much WvW, but I have gained a few ranks since they released the World Ranks patch, but I have yet to get my ‘chests’.
I was wondering if this is a bug, if others also have this problem, or if it’s content not activated yet..
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
Is it still in the game? I’ve been Dodge-jumping since beta and now all of a sudden I cannot do it on any character anymore T-T

TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
What you want to do sounds a lot like what was done in TERA. For me, there were two big problems that arose there.
1. If you don’t boost every player in all zones, then you will have non-stop ganking. I was unfortuante enough to start a new character on TERA while my guild was at war and faced non-stop attacks in the first zone of the game where I was basically useless in a fight. We either had to wait for the other guild’s player to leave, call in help (which only brought in more maxed-lvl fighting to the lowbie zone, or have guild members escort us through our lowest-level missions.
2. In Guild Wars, you can simply choose to not represent your Guild, as you mentioned before. That does alleviate the problems of point one, but it also makes the concept of an actual Guild War less fun in practice than it appears in theory. In TERA people were constantly running to hide in cities when they started losing fights and now you would have the added ability of simply “standing down” when things were tough and then representing again. You would basically turn every Guild Player into a submarine that way, letting them join battle or submerge only when it seemed advantageous.
Thanks for reading, and a constructive post. I play TERA as well and I know it can be abused, but if this concept was considered dropping representation would have to have a minor consequence so you cannot “hide” at signs of defeat in a battle. But players should be able to not represent their guild if they do not feel they can handle the PvP.
From what I heard(I do play some Tera every now and again but have not been in a GvG before), in Tera to get out of a GvG, some people would gquit and then be locked out of joining any guild for a week.
But for Gw2, one can simply just rep another guild and ignore the GvG. What would be the small consequence for that then? A lock-out period before being able to rep again? Idk, Anet did say they wanted to keep PvP and PvE separate. It’s been part of Guild Wars 2’s design from day 1.
I’d be against the idea. What would happen if a couple new players, without the strongest pc’s(but strong enough to play gw2 with some friends) happened to be strolling by as 200+ people were unleashing full destructive hell upon each other?
Most likely their pc would crash or they would just generally not be able to play.
That kinda thing ruins a game for some people.
What happens if a person just joined a new big guild, and they are fairly new to the game(never pvp’d/wvw’d and wasn’t too interested in it) and that guild just so happened to be in a Guild War against another and was constantly ganked?
That’s another thing that will make casual players not interested in the game. Hell, there are a lot of casual players that want to be interested in GW2 already that won’t play due to other issues entirely.
It sucks, but Anet is trying to cater to everyone, not just one type of group. Most likely they will bring GvG and GvG tournies into the game, but in the mists. There’s a very real possibility that this GvG in PvE will never happen. Ever. Its a mechanic that works well in other games, but its totally not meant to be in GW2 otherwise they would have it in there.
Guild Rivalry is meant to be for sPvP and WvW. They stated something along those lines back when we were still waiting on beta weekends.

No thanks, Mesmer are annoying enough with clones which caused a lot of complaints, last thing we need is a spirit spammer.
I don’t think we need any more professions, there are already enough. Also by adding new professions it will cause ANET to do more balancing, which will mean more classes being nerfed.
Good work on the suggestion, but it’s a no from me!
Adding new professions does not inherently cause nerfs.
Navegating through Mesmer clones isn’t that difficult. The only thing that really works against it is GW2’s terrible targeting system, not the clones themselves.
You say Spirit Spammer when I’ve already dictated that a Ritualist can actively maintain no more than 2 Binding Ritual Spirits at a single time. I haven’t discussed it yet, but Binding Ritual Spirits probably wouldn’t have a lot of health, and honestly Spirits won’t have the same effect as they did in GW1 due to the many options that the typical player has for mitigating damage and speeding up combat. That said, I can respect your opinion on the “no.”
I was thinking of doing something like this but for the dervish class. You should put together a Dervish Profession Outline too
Also, bumping because need more professions.
This suggestion isn’t even 1/3 the way done probably, I can’t imagine starting another profession even if I wanted. Also, to be honest, GW2 doesn’t need any more professions right now. This game is PLAGUED with balance issues, bugs and optimization problems. It’s honestly a mess. I’m just playing ahead of the game so hopefully I can get some discussion going with devs before they take the whole task of making the Ritualist into their own hands.
I know, but from what youve put together so far, I think you should take a wack at the dervish as well..at least sometime after a break after finish up ritualist lol :P
Just suggesting ahead of the game and all that >;D

Quick thought: maybe cap the amount of karma that can be spent to the highest tier per account.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
Well basically as the title says, I think this would be an awesome addition to the game.
For starters; it would make the small guilds happy as they could finally unlock higher tiers upgrades easier. Everyone makes a kitten-ton of karma, hell my alt has 370k+ just sitting there and she hasn’t even visited an area south of lion’s arch.
It would also make bigger guilds happy because then they wouldn’t have to spend coin so much on influence upgrades; the leaders could just put in w.e is missing from the next upgrade, or if future content came out, people could get access to it faster and, lets face it, that’s why we are all in the bigger guilds anyways.
One could argue that it would defeat the purpose of spending coin on influence, but then I’d come back with ‘It would add another karma-sink into the game and thus make people play longer and have to choose between: Do I pay for guild upgrades or do I pay for other things like Karma gear or even Obsidian Shards?’
Obviously, it would have to be balanced. It’s so easy to make karma, but it shouldn’t be overly easy for guilds to just hit max upgrade tiers. I know I just got finished defending small guilds, but seriously thinking about it, something like the following(most likely tweaked by Anet) would be enough:
5-10k = 10 Influence
20-30k = 100 influence
50k = 500 influence
80k = 1000 influence
250k = 10000 influence
I’m just ball parking some numbers here, off the top of my head, so anyone else’s input is well welcomed.
One could argue that trading karma for influence makes no sense as well immersion-wise, but neither does doing 5 tasks and having a small chest appear in front of your character, but we live with that. It’s not like we do 5 tasks and then go to a certain location or NPC and get rewarded. Why can’t this fit.
I honestly think that this would be a great addition, and that’s why I brought it to the suggestions forum. I don’t know if its been brought up before, so I’m making this new thread.

You seriously just pumped $200 dollars into Guild Wars 2?
I mean.. I can maybe understand that at launch.. wanting to get a bunch of character slots and bank tabs unlocked asap.. But have we not learned anything since then?
RNG Gods hate us all. They toy with our hopes and dreams.
but hey, thanks for pay for the servers for a month!
LOL, ye I did xD
Luckily I had some extra monies, but looking back on it now, it was a baaad idea xD
Now they probably think it’s alright to steal money from the playerbase like this because of kitten like me xD
It’s not. RNG shouldn’t be on those types of things.. They should have those drop with a higher rate and have gem store versions that guarantee things you want..
If you put money into a game, you should get what you want..
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
I play on a crap server where people are more concerned about farming gold than doing WvW.
To craft Sunrise, I need all of the required gameplay items such as the Gift of Battle, Gifts of Exploration and various karma rewards, but I also need around 900 gold.
900 Gold is something that is unattainable for me, because I spend the majority of my time doing WvW to make my server better. A lot of money is spent on repairs or siege equipment so that my garbage server has somewhat of a chance in battles.
I have over 1500 Badges of Honor in total, over 1,000,000 karma and about 25 unused karma jugs, the gift of exploration, over 400 skill points etc. These are heavy achievements that very few people, even those with legendaries, have.
What I don’t have is the precursor, the icy runestones and the huge amounts of ectos and lodestones I need to finish Sunrise. Those items are unattainable for me because I do not buy gold, nor do I spend days on end farming Cursed Shore as does the majority of my server. Unfortunately, farming ruins the game for most people because grinding is boring and it hurts the server in WvW, which in my opinion is the most important part of the game and the sole reason GW2 is such a good game compared to other MMORPGs.
My suggestion is as follows: The precursor should be purchasable for 2,500,000 karma. This would increase the Karma requirement of the legendary to ~3,700,000 karma. The precursor can still be purchased for gold, but now there is also a karma option.
There should be a new component called “Gift of Obsidian”, which requires 400 obsidian shards. This will replace the 250 obsidian shards included in the Gift of Mastery.
There should be another new component called “Gift of the Mists” which requires 2000 fractal relics. This will replace the lodestone component of the legendary.
Magic clovers should retain their luck component but in addition, each magic clover should be purchasable for 25 badges of honor, for a total of 1925 badges of honor for 77 mystic clovers. A magic clover could also be purchased for 10,000 glory each.
The Gift of Might and the Gift of Magic will turn into the Gift of Might and Magic which will require a quest chain to complete. One unique quest chain for physical damage legendaries, and another unique quest chain for magical damage legendaries.
The Gift of Metal is relatively cheap and will stay. The Gift of Light will require the same materials but instead of the lodestone requirement, the Gift of the Mists will be used.
The Icy Lodestones will be replaced with the Gift of Slaying, which is crafted using 50 crystals, a Fang of Jormag, a Scale of the Shatterer and an Eye of the Sunless, items obtained at a 30% chance from killing the dragon world bosses.
Anything not mentioned remains the same. This suggestion would apply to all legendaries in a similar manner even though this specific guide only concerns Sunrise. Legendaries should be based around hard work and dedication, not mindless farming in Cursed Shore or gold buying.
You understand that most people with one legendary, have multiple ones right? just having 2 legendaries means that they have had:
400 skill points.
1,000,000 karma
1,000 Badges of Honor
plus various hundreds of gold to make said legendaries.
What I’m seeing here is a complaint about the RNG Gifts and not having enough gold. To that I say, farm dungeons. Farming dungeons not only gets you materials for your gifts, but gets you gold fast. CoF is a great example at this, hell even Sorrow’s Embrace is decent at this too(made 3 gold from running two paths once).
They are not going to change the recipes for Legendaries because Legendaries should be hard to make. It should take time. At most, they will make it easier to get mats, but not too easy, and hopefully one day they will get off their kitten #8217;s and figure out a better way to get a pre-rec then this RNG bullkitten.

I just wasted $200 on these chests….Am really tired of this now. I had to buy over 100 BL keys just to get ONE bloody fused weapon ticket, now $200 (over 1.8k in South African rands which is my currency….) later and all I have to show for it is a bunch of Karka shells and Passion Flowers….
Please Anet, I have just payed for your server costs for a month and gotten next to nothing for it. Your RNG is flawed in so many ways. I have had probably 5 or 6 exotic DROPS since launch, and now after over 100 of these supply crates I haven’t gotten anything remotely useful.
Between that and the lack of Necromancer fixes, my interest in this game is starting to turn into annoyance, which is a pity, because I do actually like the game.
There’s nothing I can do now after already spending the money which is more than a bit frustrating, but what can I do…
You seriously just pumped $200 dollars into Guild Wars 2?

No one wants chances or rare chances in something we buy with our real life cash. If you must, make the items expensive, but let us buy the items. You know you will have people complaining after “OMG having openened 100 chests, no mini!!1!” anyway.
lol buy with real money.
step 1: Make mesmer or warrior
step 2: Get to 80
step 3: Get zerk gear
step 4: Farm CoF p1
step 5: Trade gold for gems.
step 6: Profit?

Problem is, is that after this event, there is suppose to be a major patch, and there is no real hint if the “Finale” is before or after patch day and frankly, I would just like a time zone when to log on.
Not like everyone has the time to check the forums everyday. If that’s too hard to ask, from your perspective of a reply, maybe you should check if something is missing.
I would just like to state; I was right.
FOR CLARIFICATION: THE THREAD STARTER ASKED WHEN THE FINALE WAS AND I STATED THAT THEY SHOULD USE THEIR HEAD TO WATCH THE COUNTDOWN TIMER IN-GAME.
The finale is currently happening, and the countdown timer has expired. There was no special ‘event’ that happened like karka or halloween, its just a peaceful relaxing time at hoelbrak, Lions Arch or Black Citadel for 2 days.
Anet has also stated that may 14th was the next big patch. Everyone can calm their kitten and get over the horrible RNG that was Molten Facility with the new hour long buff from those previously stated locations.

Not for every Living Story event no, but I expect to see them show up from time to time. The game can’t continue if they don’t make money, and it can’t continue if people don’t play.
It makes perfect sense when you figure out how to understand other people.
1. You have GW1 casuals that pretty much want easy stuff.
2. You have WoW converts that like progression, farming items, ect.
3. You have crafters and people that like to sell stuff and participate in the econonmy.
4. You have shallow people that are focused on cosmetics enough to spend hundreds of real life dollars to buy some stupid cosmetic item that has no benefit other than how it looks.
5. You have the weird anti-social people that have an issue with group content being added to an MMO.They have to continue to supply stuff for all of those groups of people while at the same time convincing those people to spend money in the gem store. Rare RNG items are enough to keep number 4 and 2 active in the game and spending money. So yes, to keep 4 and 2 playing GW and spending money, RNG items will still show up.
Woah woah woah there buddy. GW1 casuals that pretty much want easy stuff? kitten you talking about?! Are you trying to say the GW1 was “Easy”?!
That kitten was not at all easy. If you wanted prestige in that game, you needed to work your butt off to earn that kitten! Legendary survivor required you to get 1,337,500 experience without dying, max level was 20 and max exp from a single quest I’ve seen was roughly 15-30k maybe. YOU HAD TO FARM THAT or FARM ELITE SKILLS OUT with skill. <—notice the one word used twice; Farm.
Oh and then there’s Mallyx the Unyielding, which has been stated by Anet, was nearly impossible to kill on launch and little babies would whine and complain about how hard it was.
AND THERE WAS HARD MODE FOR EVERY BIT OF THE CONTENT IN THE GAME!
So, we got Hard Mode, and farming, lets see..
CRAFTING!!!
OBSIDIAN ARMOR = FARM AND CRAFTING
LUXON AND KURZICK ARMOR = CRAFTING
DESTROYER GAUNTLETS = CRAFTING
ANY EXTRA ARMOR = CRAFTING
Well.. As close to crafting as it can be. You get the materials and turn them into armor by trading them to a merchant. BUT IT WAS kittenING HARD TO GET THAT kitten DONE!
Well.. As close to crafting as it can be. You get the materials and turn them into armor by trading them to a merchant. BUT IT WAS kittenING HARD TO GET THAT kitten DONE!I think I’ve proved my point. Guild Wars was anything but easy. It’s only easy if you really rock at making yellow numbers appear on your screen.

basically, you help Braham and Rox out in their.. well their personal stories. It starts off with you visiting The Black Citadel where a Norn named Braham Eirson is asking Rytlock Brimstone for help in retaking Craigstad. He is quickly told that he would have a better chance at getting help if he goes to Hoelbrak. Rox, shortly after this, is sent on a mission to retake the nolan hatchery in Diessa Plateau.
Braham goes to Hoelbrak to ask for help in reclaiming Cragsted from the Molten Alliance of The Flame Legion and The Dredge, but to no success when the leaders of Hoelbrak tell him that they are too busy to help. He, being a young norn full of angst, tells them ‘Fine! I don’t need your help!’ and runs of to reclaim Craigstad.
Both Rox and Braham are successful in their missions(though Braham learned there was people missing from craigstad) and later join up to take the fight to the Molten Alliance! The locate the entrance of the Molten Weapons Facility and proceed to drill a way further inside with the help of a dredge mining drill. As the party proceeds further inside, they are stopped by a.. what I can only assume is a straight-out-of borderlands mini boss fight where this guy wants to test his new.. ‘toys’ out on the party. After thwarting his “toy’s” thermal core, you proceed further inside,
Shortly after, the party learns of the whereabouts of the rest of Craigstad’s civilians. They are being held prisoner in the mines. Eventually, after freeing the prisoners, your party make their way down to the.. lets call them Molten Avengers boss fight.
Molten Firestorm; a giant flame-imbued dredge power suit and Molten Berserker; who’s hands can shake the very ground and air around him the party destroys one of them, and the other then siphons the thwarted avengers powers and becomes supercharged with his buddy’s power.
After dealing with Fred and Barney, Rox has the brilliant idea of blowing the place to smithereens. She hates explosives by the way, and definitely makes sure that you know this to be true. After you set the charges, you make a mad dash with the prisoners to the elevator and escape the blast radius of the TNT. Rox and Braham thank the party and each other, stating that they would be glad to help each other out if they are ever in a pinch.
Afterwards, Rox and Braham go to their respective cities, Rox updates Rytlock about what happened, and Braham basically shoves the fact that he did it without Hoelbrak’s help, in the leaders of Hoelbrak’s faces. They then thank you for the help.

If i had spent that time doing CoF runs, i would probably have already bought it. Such is the absurdity of this situation.

The Enrage buff is ignorable. It does NOT need to be taken off as long as your group is focusing the other down and has enough dps to take it out, while has an eye on the ground watching for the AoE’s. I understand that it might be ‘harder’ with Enrage on, but as long as you can keep an eye out and react in-time to either jump, dodge away or out of the AoE, you will survive. All I’ve noticed with Enrage is that it makes the enemy attack a bit faster, but again, not a really big issue.
I made the opposite experience: when we actively take down enrage quickly, it’s smooth sailing for us, but before when we ignored enraged, it was (on average) a lot harder and longer as we got downed or wiped 3 or 4 times as often…
But not the entire team has to switch to the other boss when it gets enraged. In our last group we had 2 rangers who switched/ dealt with the enraged boss when that came up, and the other three just focused on the main target. That also worked very well.
If you even have one ranger, then taking down enrage is easy. I’ve noticed that with a buddy of mine while farming MF. 9 times outta 10 though my group will ignore enrage and I rarely have a wipe on the boss.
I’d also like to mention, with enough skill and a tiny bit of luck, the boss is solo-able. In fact, on my ele I almost took down firestorm by myself from 50% hp, but they got a lucky hit on me which kinda screwed up everything.
I’m certain its solo-able though.. just the boss that is.
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
So, this happens a lot, and I do mean A LOT..
I’ll be doing something, like a dungeon, or event, or some WvW, and attacking kitten when all of a sudden, the audio of npc’s will skip, or the audio of attacks will skip. In WvW, something with the audio and a lot of players attacking lead to crashing the game. In EVERY dungeon, right before some script is about to run to turn an npc hostile towards me and my party, the audio will skip. It happens every time in Molten Facility when the boss with the traps(flame pillars, fireballs and giant crushers) is about to start attacking. It happens in Fractals of the Mists when the Raging Asura is about to start attacking. Sometimes it happens when I enter a dungeon.
Also, The custom music. I have it set up to play custom battle music, but the switch between regular and battle is horrendously slow. I can fight and kill something before the music starts, and then it won’t stop half the time. I do believe that WoW used to have an addon that was similar to this that worked 10 times as better..
(the songs could be changed to whatever you wanted as long as you named the files right)
I mean.. If someone on the internet can do it, you can to right? That mod is discontinued now too and it works better than the gw2 ingame custom songs…….
Note: I’ve tried every possible thing on the sliders for the sound quality and latency, none of it improved anything. ever.

Think about when the Molten Facility is going to go away..
..and then use your head. There was a countdown timer for halloween. If you were there, you should remember that.

Furthermore this experience tonight of 4 hours with bad players who cant dodge roll the ring of death, stay out of fire on the ground, or figure out that attacking the other boss after 25% to remove the berzerk buff is a good idea further makes me hate the dungeons in this game more than I did. This isn’t even a dungeon for gear – it’s for a story arc and for TEMPORARY – all I want to do is get the achievement and get done with the arc. Can’t because of bad players!
If you are having that much trouble with it, I will help you out. I’ve farmed the dungeon well over 25 times and know the kitten thing inside and out. One thing I will say though;
That being said, if you are interested in getting it done, send me a message on here with a time you are available to do so and I will get some guildies to tag along so we can get kitten done.
Also, if you decide to do so, and get the jetpack outta your first run, I preemptively hate you. lol

With SAB I felt luckier than usual because I found the Shield, Greatsword, and Scepter skins in the chests. I sold them and made some quick gold which felt good but I also ended up farming SAB to buy(via Baubles) the same weapon skins for all my characters.
I thought if i put the same effort into the MF dungeon I would get the jet pack, I would just have to be persistent. I feel I have been, doing this dungeon at least 5 times a day(twice on my guardian, twice on my engineer, and once on my mesmer) for several days. I have received no special reward save it be the recipe for the tonic that turns you into the Charr boss.
As of right now I feel bamboozled, duped, taken for a ride, all in all i feel cheated. Past events had lead me to believe that my goals in GW2 were achievable if I invested the time and believing this fueled me to keep coming back to MF. Now, after being exhausted by days of nothing I realize that i could very well play myself into a coma and still not have the item i want drop. I am left with two miserable results:
1. I do not have the item i was farming for.
2. I have done the dungeon so many times I am not even left with the awe or joy the dungeon initially impressed at me my first few runs.I have been exhausted and find myself disinterested with logging on until this Molten Alliance story is done and over.
I know those feels.. I believe all of us do.
I quickly figured I would have a better time farming the coin for the jetpack rather than farming for a jetpack.. which was a good choice on my part. 30G’s away and farming CoF all weekend until I have it!

It does help. I’ve ran this dungeon about 60 to 70 times now and made about 70 to 80g and had the other 40 just sitting there and bought it. So your logic doesn’t make sense.
Good for you.
…and what about everyone that doesn’t receive your wonderful mystical drop rates to make any money?
My luck isn’t that great so you don’t have to complain about it. You almost make a gold a run and that’s with no mf on.
How about save your gold and stop spending it?
I’m not here to fight with anyone. I’m just stating that if you keep running it you’ll have enough gold to almost buy it. Don’t buy now just put a bid on it.
I know you’re not trying to start a fight here, but saving is kitten hard..
I’ve spent the last week farming CoF and MF, started with MF and got to roughly 70-80 gold, switched to CoF and got to roughly 110(then proceeded to put 10 bucks in the game to get me to 128). The current lowest price is 163 and change. Even if I was to farm CoF, which is hard for my characters to do mainly because they are not the ‘Ideal’ class, I might get, MIGHT get another 20 gold over the weekend. That is, if I even get into groups for it.
And if I don’t get groups fast enough, I’ll miss the deadline and I do believe that the jetpacks will increase in price after they are not obtainable via drop.
Like I said, I’ve been at this all week and still haven’t made enough to buy one yet. If I didn’t put 10 bucks into the game, as well as get the lucky mini drop to sell it for 50G I would not have anywhere close to the cash to buy it. MF does not bring in enough gold running it all day to bid on it, and those people bidding on it most likely won’t get one.
I’m just saying.. its hard to make it and those starting to save now probably won’t get one..
but I will.

…You mean as opposed to ‘Go do some permutation of killing 10 rats, baiting 10 rat traps, and/or heal 10 cheesemakers attacked by rats’? ;-)
A lot of the renown hearts, to be honest, are still ‘kill 10 rats’ at heart, but dressed up very prettily so that you have to look under all the makeup to see it. :-)
I usually do a bit of all the stuff when doing the hearts. like for example, the farmer renown heart just outside shaemoor; I kill some of the worms, feed some of the cows, and water some of the plants, usually change it up for alts but its never the same amount
but yes, its prettied up very nicely.

Or go collect ten hearts, and the drop rate is so terrible, you wonder how all these heartless animals are walking around…
I’m glad that stuff isn’t in gw2. I hate poor drop rate quests. There’s a reason I don’t play those mmos anymore. :P
o.o kitten just got serious.

I just thought it was funny. kill 10 rats.. collect 10 prisoners.. lol
TheRavingNecromancer.tumblr.com
Anyone notice this?
ArenaNet said that you would not have to do that whole ‘kill ten rats’ then..
‘Free 10 prisoners’
lol

If so, in your great wisdom Anet, should I just run CoF path 1 over and over to get gold to buy the jetpack or continue farming Molten Facility until one doesn’t drop? I gotta be pushing 30+ runs since 3 days ago, maybe.. I know that’s not nearly as much as a lot of the farmers though(I’ve read people have run it 100+ times and no jetpack/mini/infinite zerk recipe, where others get it first attempt or within first 10 times running it).
It’s obvious that after the event is done, they will jump price-wise, so is it worth the rare kitten chance to run it over and over to not get it and not have the cash to buy it, or try to farm CoF over and over to get cash to buy it before it skyrockets?
Side question; why go from an event where you could buy the skins either by farming tokens or with ingame cash to an event where the desired item requires a kitten ton of gold to buy it on the TP or to be one of the luckiest S.O.B. in the game? seems like you took a step back there imo.
