I’d like to echo Colin’s sentiments. Thanks to the OP and everyone else for posting your constructive feedback here. We’re always evaluating our past work and looking for ways to improve our future releases. Sometimes those improvements may come in the form of developing new technology to support our vision or improve the player experience. Other times it means evolving our writing and game design processes. In other cases, resource and scheduling changes are necessary to support the additional workload. The potential solutions will vary depending on the challenge in front of us.

Part of the development process is prioritization, so I’d like to know what you feel are the highest impact items you think would improve our storytelling delivery. What are your top three requests?

1. Hook us from the beginning, i.e. make it epic and engaging from day 1, if it’s not a page turner then it’s not worth reading. As the OP said, “the journey is more important than the destination”

2. Give our character dialogues, make us FEEL important. Also make our deeds known to everyone in Tyria. I know you have already implemented that in LA, but now imagine that on a larger scale – also as we are Commander of the Pact, we should also have somewhat of a greater influence on how things work.

3. Have back and forth meaningful dialogue with the villain and the player character. The experience should also be based on your personality.

Living Story is somewhat of a new thing, and GW2 is the first to ever do it, it’s is not as simple as just throwing out an expansion, since the story is continuously evolving the world biweekly. With such great idea, comes great responsibility and greater expectations. Better learn now than never :P

I’ll just echo what others have already said. GW2 by far is the best aesthetically designed game thus far. Once you get a taste of it, playing games like Wildstar feels weird, even if the gameplay is better. All GW2 needs to do is brush up on it’s dungeon and cough raid contents, so that we can actually have end game PvE!

Read The Wind is definitely not GM trait worthy. Minor trait at best.

Our heroes knew that entering Omadd’s device fundamentally messed her up, but their response was still “kill” not “save”. It doesn’t matter if it were possible to save her or not. Perhaps she was branded and beyond saving. But what if she were the other, crazy and in need of help. Why was that idea, considering the world we are in, never once entertained

We didn’t have any opportunities to save her before she executed her plan to forge three alliances and attack LA with full force. At this point, she killed a lot of civilians, and terrorized a lot of people.

If The Captain’s Council ACTUALLY LISTENED to the warnings and evacuated the citizen, we would have been in a better position to arrest Scarlet.

We could have imprisoned her in an impenetrable fortress (not like Canach’s imprisonment, as it was quite weakly guarded and out in the open / easy access). From there on, we could have interrogated her about Mordemoth…

But unfortunately, she killed people with all her insanity, so, we don’t have much option left :| If there was a way to return her sanity, so she can use her superior knowledge to help make up for all the deed she has done, then that is a different story. But since this avenue was not explored, her death was the only way to end this.

P.S. The Scarlet in the cutscene looks WAY better than the crappy in-game model they made. I mean, the faces don’t even match properly!

Only way I’d like to see this implemented is that if you ‘divorce’, all your gold, badges and other currencies get thrown into a pool then divided 70/30 for the woman/man, just like in real life.

This is not p2w. This is pretty much an optional subscription fee for convenience stuff. Although I must say, I feel sorry for the Chinese GW2 players Even if it’s acceptable, imagine how revolutionary it would have been if they would not have to “pay 2 play”.

Have you played any other games other than GW2? Every single MMORPG out there that has an Auction House or Trading Post allows LISTING, DE-LISTING, RE-LISTING. All the devs know that this is how the market works, and thus should be allowed to flow its course. Free market, do you know what that means? lol

Also real world trading works the same way and brokers take commission on each trade you make, which in-game context is the TP fees you pay – this also acts as a gold sink to keep inflation in check.

EDIT: Also ANet please fix the lighting effect, I’m aiming to get mine, currently at 118/250!

Feedback:

- The shoulder on medium and heavy looks ….“too large”
- The butt in the female version of the light armor (not sure if it is also a problem for other sets) needs to be toned down. Trust me, I like butts, but that is too large of a proportion
- Make the stardust area dyeable

Since you guys worked hard oon the design of the armor, I will not critique it for anything else. I appreciate the hard work that you guys put in the game.

Maybe Scarlet is going to the Mists to search for Omadd? In order to seek advice on how to deal with her nightmares? or to see if Omadd, can / help her, draw a conclusion from what she has seen thus far?

My personal opinion: Wait for the new set of legendaries and hope that they have a better longbow

Firstly this is a futile attempt to get a grasp on the wealth “classes” in Tyria. Only John Smith will be able to give you this information, provided he has access.

You should be looking at “Net Worth” not Gold.

Net Worth = current market value of the valuable items you have (rares, mats, exotics, minis, legendaries, tonics) + liquid gold in hand + invested gold in the TP / stockpiled item that you have for speculation.

Which to get a generalized version for the player base we have is, you guessed it, almost impossible

I wonder if it would be possible in the future for lower tier servers to “ally” as one. i.e.

World1 Vs World 2 Vs World3&World4

So instead of having a “Jade Quarry Borderlands” it would be called “Allied/Alliance Borderlands” (or whatever unique name two server combinations make)

This will make fighting lower tier servers, much more entertaining and to the point provide variety every week.

Before anyone jumps on me, there will of course be a restriction on which server gets allied with which. i.e. JQ+SoR, JQ+BG or SoR+BG cannot combine to become “Allied Borderlands”

Furthermore, this should be done once or twice every month so as it give the mid/lower tier servers the opportunity to fight in their proper tier.

In essence it would be WvWvWvW but two of the Worlds are “merged” into one for that one week.

On the bright side…4 more Scarlet releases left…we are nearing the light at the end of the tunnel!

Increasing the level cap = multi slaps across the face for people who have a lot of characters and a lot of different types of transmuted gear.

So no. I don’t want level cap increase. It is a complete waste of time.

It was for having the “battle to be the best” or something along those lines…“with the chance to get a dolyak finishers and some crappy loots” …I called 2 greens and 1 blue on the WvW chest rewards not so long ago, and it seems I was mostly right :P

I’m literally dying laughing at these rewards. 7 weeks of the winning servers chest-thumping about coverage and how skillful it is. 7 weeks of people hyping the S1 rewards when anyone who primarily WvWs knew that they were going to be incredibly disappointing, because everything reward-wise in WvW is incredibly disappointing.

I really hope that server stacking, queues, and PPT-fueled 7 weeks was worth it!

You are correct. However, I actually want to support ANet by buying gems with real money. I want to support this game so that it goes in the right direction, if everyone does gold → gem, how will they survive? :| Thus, my concern about them putting stuff like this on gem store. There really should be a healthy balance between gear attainable in-game and those attainable in gem store – and yes, quality of the in-game gear matters too.

I did it on my Asura on my other account with Brahms armor. Twelve months of staring at the same gem encrusted plate gets old. Unless you desperately feel the need to RP in Rata Sum then it might be worth wearing the same set forever.

I say the folks who got the skin removed now need to compensate those completely kittened by it’s removal if said people do NOT like the new flamekissed skin. It’s only fair – I’ve heard complaint after complaint of how 800 gem armor made their work for 120 gold worthless and read countless threads about “doing the math”.

Well, your complaints cost some people 120 gold or more. No, not everyone knew that was T3 armor and “controversial” – I didn’t realize until I came to the forums. I held off buying because of the very vocal crap on the forums. Others? Not so lucky. So now, I know of five people completely kittened because they bought exotic armor, earned the gold to buy human T3 light, transmuted it for the skin and then transmuted it to flamekissed yesterday… and now Anet won’t fix that. Is it their fault? Do they deserve to be out that gold and have to earn it all over again?

Please tell me how much gold all of you complaining lost out on because flamekissed existed for 24 hours.

It is not their (the skin users) fault at all. ANet should compensate those who transmuted them with a transmutation splitter – that will solve the problem for those who used the flamekissed skin.

Instead of deleting it completly out of the game, how about you think of sth like adding a revamp for every t3 armor in the gemshop, for an appropriate price (sth like 2000gems). i would pay it, because it would be worth it for me! and if there is a revamp for each t3 available, for an higher price then the t3 would cost, then i think it would be nice for everyone. the casual players can buy the cheaper normal version of their race, the hardcore players can buy the expensive version from the gemshop from whichever race they like and you would make even some money out of it.
Meaning, you would continue with what you said, about creating a new model/skin for the armor,.. and afterwards you can think about adding revamps for all cultural armorsets.

Why are you advocating more gem store stuff? Why can’t we EARN the “new and improved” t3 skin in game? …

How about a completely different new skin? That’d be interesting no? Reskins are no fun.
