I believe he was asking if other builds are viable. The answer would be yes. Every build is viable in GW2 to complete content. If I can finish FoTM 10 on my level 25 toon that has no zerker gear, then I’d say that any build is viable.

Zerker is just the fastest at killing things. All other builds are still viable.

If they make the game too easy people will complain, they make the game too hard people complain. The only thing that is hard is trying to kill shaman on a fractal 49, playing a drinking game how ever is not, if the game does not challenge you how are you suppose to get better.

You guys might want to look up “Combat Mode”, which is a program that enables an STO-like “shooter mode” button, which when activated gives you a Mass Effect like control scheme, where the cursor is replaced by a fixed-centre target reticle and mouse movement aims with the camera (Freeing up the mouse for genuinely useful buttons like dodge and primary attack)

I won’t link it here as it exists in something of a grey area being a 3rd party program, but at the same time does not violate the “1 click = 1 click” rule and nobody to my knowledge has ever been banned or infracted for using it.

Greatsword is a powerful melee weapon and also dangerous to use for a cloth user. Mesmer using one is almost bad enough.

If that elite was trashed and simply made into a weapon set. I would like my elementalist a lot more than I do now.

lol, yeah. I have like 15 crafting boosters that are 100% useless atm.
the annoying part, for me, is such:
ascended focus = artificing
ascended sword and greatsword = weaponsmith
ascended bow = huntsman
ascended exalted armor = tailor
ascended emblazoned armor = leatherworker
ascended draconic armor = armorsmith
and I’m lucky to only have 2 alts! (ranger, mesmer, guardian) account bound ascended = … can’t buy
at least I’ll be able to use all the boosters in the end.

Fighting TC is amusing actually. Their zergs – as long as you’re not in their path – will completely ignore you when they’re in transit from one objective to another.

Of course there is the overzealous one or two that break from the pack. Then get murdered when they realize their zerg left them and I get a free daily kill count.

Oh and that TC thief that was knocking on our EB keep door yesterday. You sure are persistent. Thanks for the 10 free kills though. Stealth traps are lovely. Love from a non-stealth abusing thief. ^^

The new radiant gloves look great if you wear white and wear heavy armor.

But their effects seem to bug out a lot when you use special abilities such as stealth, phantasms and juggernaut for example.

Because I missed that memo. Seems the Achievement gloves/mantel/helmet rewards are meant for heavy armor users only. Then slapped on every one else as a ’don’t tell any one guardian and warriors greatsword users are our favourite’ fix.

Also, you cannot change its colour and celestial dye just skyrocketed on the TP.

Is this what we have to pay for frequent updates to Guild Wars 2? Because if that’s the case. I’d rather good updates instead of frequent updates.

The reason why it is hard capped is because some one managed to get 10k achievement points by simply salvaging alone.

Maybe they got lazy and didn’t add one this time?

There’s absolutely no context to the OP. For all I can tell, people are getting kitten ed at OP because other people ahead of him are yielding to let others win, but he just runs past them to take 1st.

There is no context in which it is acceptable to curse and conspire against another player.

Okay, find the words to be offensive. But remember that if you play how you so choose then so can others. And if others choose to team up to try and stop someone they feel is raining on their parade then so be it. You are not a victim of some great injustice. A couple people used questionable language and one person suggested to team up against you.

Exactly. I played three games and figured out the game and now place anywhere from first to third in 7+ player races. The mini game isn’t hard at all sadly no reason people can’t earn it. This isn’t World of Warcraft. Earn your stuff by trying instead of having it given.

It’s not easy for everyone. In some cases, not easy purely due to factors outside of their control like latency.

I don’t think it was meant to be easy for everyone, that’s why it’s not required for the meta event. That being said, I can certainly understand the frustration of not being able to get an achievement point. I personally am having trouble with some of the kite ones. But I will continue to try and work at it, and everyone should try and work at the things they struggle with so they can get better at it. What’s the point of playing the game if you just get everything handed to you?

Coming 2nd is just as much work as coming 1st.

Nah who am I kidding. Getting 1st is easy if you get lucky with teleport power ups. It’s really a luck based title. Not skill based.

I’m not competing for a reward, I’m competing for fun. This is a game, and I would like it to be played fairly so I can have fun. I actually like the race, but when people cheat like this it really hurts us all.

Curios if you run Sanctum Sprinter as a naked Charr? Because if so. I’m probably the one who called you out in game. You’re simply being mean for no reason. There is nothing competitive about this mini-game. It’s mostly luck based and connection based. You’re just trying to block others from getting a one time achievement for your amusement.
