Why A New Race Is Highly Possible [Merged]

Azure The Heartless.3261

Adding a new race adds a minimal amount of eye candy for the players that would need a disproportionate amount of labor on the part of the devs, and money on the part of the company, to make neat and tidy.

Most MMOs that add a new race to their games have a base model that can be tweaked with minimal developmental effort. GW2’s character models are so varied, though, that anything short of a completely new model (or one that hasnt been player accessible), would be unacceptable to the players, so this ease of implementation doesn’t really apply in this respect.

It’s too much, for too little.

Have you tried Mesmer yet?

No. Is it high skill floor/twitch based? How is it compared to..say… thief?

You should try Engineer.

Engie looks… kinda slow, to me. Is Scrapper fast paced?

Thief... the scapegoat?

Azure The Heartless.3261

Thief is scapegoat indeed.

Just remember:

  • Cap far for us.
  • +1 when far is capped and not +1d.

You do these things and those of us not too busy being down on our kitten will notice. I personally commend thieves for playing properly.

If there are two of you, OUT OF THE GATE you two need to decide which one of you is on +1 for mid/ far duty and which one of you is +1 for mid and home duty. If there are two thieves one of you is specifically going to have duty of far, one of you is going to have an eye on home, and the rest of us are going to push mid with whoever is free +1ing. once +1 is done for mid you need to return home, return to far if its capped, or harass objectives and call incoming for home’s case.

If you are far you need to abandon far if inc is more than 1, return to mid, and call target on inc.

Do not both go home or far please. If you are single target DPS you need to focus called target on mid (which means you need to run a build that lets you get close for short periods or a build that lets you range. If you are AOE DPS you need to lay poison on mid.

Thieves need to know their limitations and do specifically what is needed to succeed. They are high skill floor classes, and their duties respect such.

If there are 3+thieves, you better all have shortbow and +1 wherever enemy is not rallied. Or one of you switch. >:{

I play a warrior, thief and revenant, but am looking for another class to try out that might interest me.

I PVP, WVW and PVE.

I enjoy fast paced gameplay.

I will support if the class is geared for it but I do not -have- to do that.

I’m not sure which class to pick out of the current ones. Which is the most exciting/twitch-based out of the current unplayed pool and their specializations?

my team mates chased 1 burn guard off point.

Shift click mid, remind them to hold mid if they get kited. If they want blood tell them he’ll be back. (Hold mid, he’ll be back)

The necro pushed far and i went to heal him (playing ele) .

We ended up facing 3 of them because we had just killed them at mid.

Should have let necro die and encourage him to come mid on respawn. Its ok to let them learn that pushing far on necro isnt something you do when team just wiped.

So while all that happened, our DH, mes and warrior lost a 2 vs 3 at home which then turned into a 3 cap for them.

Sorry, can’t help you there. two heavies should have taken home.

Just my cheap opinion. I’d rather let one person push far and die than go to help him, die myself, and have people struggling at mid because opponent just respawned and only needed one, two people to dedicate to you.

Frustrates me most when you lose game with 450~499 – 500.

I rather lose matches 100-500, and not tryhard them… at end of game you remember that one silly decision of yours, or teammates mistake that potentially lost us a match. For me it happens almost every single time, close games everywhere.

This. When is 495 – 495 and you have all three points….
but then that one guy who has been pushing mid on his own or pushing far or fighting off point gets stomped

I agree with all except that I love pushing far as a tempest. I can indefinitely delay that cap and cause the enemy team to devote 1 or 2 people to taking their home or sometimes i can even down the far enemy and cap it. Either way i have had alot of success with it.

If you’re harassing far effectively, I honestly dont care -what- profession you are (unless you’re a heavy and your team needs you at mid or any of those situations where pushing far isnt working but yet you continue to run there after spawn.)

I just generalized that because most thieves and Mes’s I’ve seen that were decent handled this role well, but most other classes I’ve seen were not built for it.

If you can make them +1 or +2 you at home when they need to be at mid, go for it. Please don’t if you can barely 1v1.

This is also something you need to say out of the gate. “Specced for harassing far” or “will be patrolling far, built X” would be great.

Oh, Oh. Another one:

  • When you have two thieves and they both insist on going far at the same time.

You may know what some of the buttons, some of the strategies do, but PVP ranked is a different beast and people depend on you to assist them in certain ways at certain times for their ranking.

Joining without preparing, even a little , is a disservice to yourself, your team, and the game. There’s an unranked button right there . Not pushing it is almost the epitome of arrogance.

I get this, but unfortunately I no longer see a difference in unranked and ranked without the ability to queue with a premade group. To use a WoW example – its all just random battlegrounds now and with a random group, you get random results. So whether people learn in ranked or unranked makes no difference to me.

I also get this, but I’d rather play with a group of people that care at least marginally about whether they win or lose than people…say, playtesting new builds.

So a friendly reminder; this is a team game. Communicate with your team. Discuss what your build can do during the ready up time. Work as a team. Learn from them, adapt and most importantly have fun.

This.

I’ll admit that at some times I have to take charge with team chat, but that’s only because watching silence as people melt is so kitten frustrating I’m almost forced to.

I mean , why should you main a class and exactly learn how to Play it, if there are several other classes where you dont have to learn so much, and its way better?

Because by doing this, you put yourself one step above the Metagame.

The metagame should ideally deal with “how to counter popular builds.”
If your build is unpopular (because its hard to use) but effective (you’ve mastered it), you have an advantage over everyone you havent played that is prepared to fight the meta.

PVP is layers upon layers of play and counterplay. you want to be on the topmost layer, and the above is a way to do that.

Azure The Heartless.3261

I mean , why should you main a class and exactly learn how to Play it, if there are several other classes where you dont have to learn so much, and its way better?

Probably because skilled players think that if you exactly learn how to play your main, you are going to be better than others, regardless of the build they use. For example, mesmers should stay far away from dragonhunters to avoid the traps, save an escape, and shatter clones to prematurely trigger traps.

There are always going to be some builds with a lower skill floor than others; that doesn’t make them overpowered. The ‘meta’ is not just about choosing a popular build (easy or not); it’s about being prepared to deal with people who are running those popular builds.

In fact the original meaning of meta-gaming was exactly that.

Meta as a prefix means beyond, ‘outside of’ or self-referencing. In biology we talk about ‘meta-populations’ which are interconnected groups of the same species and many people will refer to ‘metadata’ which is data about your data.

Meta-gaming means ‘playing outside the game’ – instead of going into PvP with whatever build you feel like using and reacting to what happens you start ‘playing’ before the match starts, maybe even before you log in, by finding out what builds other people are likely to be using and working out a (hopefully effective) counter to them.

In some games it’s almost possible to tell who is going to win before the match starts if you can see the builds both sides are using. Although I think that’s mainly turn-based games with less situational skills, things like Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. Of course it’s not fool-proof, I’ve seen plenty of people playing a game like that pull a surprising trick no one else had thought of.

Smart people above here. I know I’m being redundant, but I’d like to reiterate anyway.

Metagaming indeed used to stand for “gaming outside the game.” As in, learning what your opponent might do before they do it, and having an effective strategy to deal with it.

Nowadays people just lazily apply meta to “any strategy that may kill me” without going the extra mile and doing the “how do I counter it” step.

There’s a reason some people just seem to be -really good- with certain classes. They’ve learned and fought so many cheesy builds that they’ve found ways to deal with the cheese, while the players -using- the cheesy builds can’t think past what happens if it doesnt work.

If you have a strategy to deal with the popular things, you automatically have a leg-up on the general skill floor of the entire playerbase that uses the ‘meta’ builds.

What frustrates you most when you lose?

in PvP

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

Most frustrating is when I have a bloody terrific game personally, and my rating goes down because we lost. I’m talking about where you steal far, and someone comes to take it back, you kill him. Then two come just after and you kill both of them. Then they waste three on you, you run them around in circles for 3 min while keeping it from being capped…. and your somehow down 200 points. Much angrifying. In your head your doing the math and figuring… there are four teammates who are not here and thus could simply stand on a bloody point and have won this game.

So essentially what frustrates me most is the disconnect between when I have my above average for me performances, and then have to watch as I’m demoted points.

Feel your pain. Worse yet is when those same teammates blame you for being at far and you’re essentially stopgapping the whole team. That kind of falls under the “blame the thief” thing.

Make sure that, when you’re at far, though, you monitor health bars so you know who on your team is squishy. If your opponents are mopping the floor with your team 1v1, you might need to switch gears and start +1ing home and mid, and just briefly visit far for decapping.

But I mean, who am I to give suggestions. It might help you get those points you earned though, idk.

My own team being nasty toward each other frustrates me most.

This. Rule one is “Dont be an kitten to the people who can easily ruin your day by deciding they don’t want to help you more than they’d like helping themselves.”

Also warriors that lose 1v1s to core power necros tick me off.

PS:

  • Any warrior that frequently loses 1v1s period (jk though zerker is kinda hard life idk)

On some rare occasions I’ve solo pushed mid if I believe I can keep 3 of them chasing my useless self around in circles. My theory being, sure they’ve capped it, but if I can keep 3 busy for 30 seconds or so, then that’s 3 people who aren’t at the other two points.

This is fine if the rest of your team is working sides. If rest of your team is losing at sides then we have un problema. >:{

Harassment/distraction is always appreciated, but only if you’re:

a.) Distracting more than one person
b.) Doing it for a reasonable amount of time
c.) Doing it for a team that is adequately working sides and will proceed to mid when resistance at mid weakens once opponents realize they’ve lost home. If they come to mid to help you when you’re already dead (worse yet, one at a time) and points on either side are not under control, I personally think that’s a loss.

Otherwise, sure; go for it. it takes a little planning to do that, you might want to voice when you are occupying so that team knows when /when not to assist you.

  • Thieves that refuse to switch if we have more than two thieves. (I can’t be really frustrated at this because some people may just have one character. That’s a failing of the game more than the player I think.)

  • The -other- kind of unfocused necros.

I highly doubt that players carry an entire team. That point of view is generally incorrect and somewhat arrogant. You need help to win a match in 5v5. You may contribute more than some of your members but chances are there are others on the team performing competently.

It only takes 1 or 2 unskilled players on a team to sink the match. It may feel as if the whole team stinks but it’s usually only one . Other times you have competent team mates but the team just doesn’t come up with a valid strategy and ends up disorganized or pushing too many points.

In the matches I’ve lost, it’s usually not because the other team was better, just that my team didn’t organize well. Got +1d in every fight, etc. but individually as players they were ok.

This with an emphasis of people refusing to talk until we’re down points and then wondering why things are falling apart are the majority of my lost matches.

I’ve been paired with lots of decent people, but I have to practically force people to communicate with target calling and/or incs through team chat, because nobody says anything.

It doesnt matter how good you are individually (to a degree, based on your profession – some credence given to mesmers and thieves), lots of this season not only tests your individual skill but how well you can organize a group of random people to achieve a goal.

When one or two people are unorganized in their matches, it sinks the team. Part of rising to this challenge involves being able to recognize and accomodate for that on the fly, instead of saying little to nothing then exploding when you melt or people otherwise dont know what you’re doing.

Idea for condi rev build

Hey everyone, I was messing around with a build for a condi rev after the patch, and he had some success with it, but I wanted to get some feedback on it. I’m thinking about switching staff for hammer, but staff 5 still has nice cc
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vlAQNApXmnfNWNSuJrJRHl/kskygS4S5QJorcrklTFJNQiHsJbWVNTnSA-TZBFABDv/AAPCAFOBAMcEAiqMAA
I appreciate some feedback for it

Run sinister if you can handle it. Carrion is fine.

Tormenting is fine (That’s what I use hooray!).

Run Glint if, again, you can handle Sinister. If not, Jallis is fine. Your mobility is from blasting stone road.

If you arent running Sinister, Sigil of Air is a poor choice. youll need a sigil that is more useful than a chance of proccing on a 4% chance per hit.

Invocation is odd. If you’re going to use it (and not herald), and want your air sigils, I’d suggest speccing for fury (including fury X2 Grandmaster) since you have resistance to condis once you’re in Mallyx and reduction in Jallis.

You’re speccing tanky. It has a couple of faults but isn’t a bad build. Personally I’d go full Sinister and spec for (apply poison on torment) to jam torment and keep its uptime nice and healthy, but that’s just me. This could also work with some tweaks.

Keep staff. there’s no need for you to use hammer, and if you come across anyone with ports, leaps, dashes or otherwise unremovable sources of mobility (banish enchantment will work on people with swiftness uptime) You’re not going anywhere if they get on top of you with a +1.

Experiences playing rev after nerf

Learn to make builds and test things on your own. There’s a very good hybrid build available that uses Mallyx and Glint. Stop being lemmings.

why would i play condi rev when condi warrior is 10 x better?

This

And this applies to pretty much everything else.

Why play classes with high skill ceilings when you can play much easier classes and be as good or even better in the end. It’s something that ANET doesn’t kittening get and one of the reasons this game will never have a popular PvP.

While I think Rev is broken (I am working on surveying mallyx since now it has a stun break) and prefer my Warrior, I’ll still play revenant because its playstyle allows it to do a few things my Warrior cannot. I’ve had success with both.

Warrior is better for solo dps output, but Revenant is better for bolstering group play. Your warrior will survey home more but your revenant will tend to push mid.

There’s a subtle flavor difference there, but it’s still noticeable.

Revenants are pretty bad atm, post balance. They’ve had their dps gutted significantly.
They’re not even a full class, much less an upgrade of one.

They still burst higher than a warrior, have better mobility, better team utility, and stick to targets better.

I’d argue with you on mobility, dps, but you are right re: utility and target sticking.

brb gonna go cry in the corner with my half-a-class and its downgrade

They’ve nerfed traps repeatedly since HoT launched, there’s not much more you can do to them without making them unviable.

This is something I’ve considered as well. Yes, trap guards are annoying but you can only make them so weak before you ruin the whole class and cause it to vanish.

People will not play a bad class or one difficult to make usable just so you can farm kills. Guardians right now have become annoying but -incredibly squishy-, and I’m okay with L2P to handle a character that needs to stand in a circle to be effective.

DH and Warrior are the best “carrying” professions for lower tier ranked play.

Yes, conquest is a team fight, but you can’t group with more than one person and there is no voice chat. Most of the time people aren’t even listening to the team chat before a match starts, so there is typically very minimal coordination.

Therefore it is only logical that professions which require less team coordination and have a stronger affect on the outcome when acting solo are more represented.

This. No coordination, No premades in ranked? Warrior busts you because that’s almost like unranked.

Theres no mystery. Guardians and warriors are Anets babies and they never gonna nerf them like other classes. Just look at the treatment of scrapper gyros vs dh traps.

Coming from a warrior who has been literally pinned on the bottom of the meta sandwich for nearly a year, It’s not my fault that my class is built for dueling and that just happens to be the best strategy to deal with a league where there’s 2 player max queues.

I still melt to condis, still melt to blinds, still melt to focus and still have no range unless I take rifle or bow, and then it is marginal at the cost of mobility.

Be careful with reacting to this meta. Warrior is slowly getting back to where it is somewhat manageable.

I can’t talk about DH/Guard ease of play since I dont play one, but both Guard and War, when I vs them, have large tells and heavy counterplay that makes them pretty easy to deal with.

Good builds don’t get killed by new players.

You, uh, may be holding that manual upside down. Removing or (nerfing) a build will shift the meta, not halt it completely.

Be careful what you wish for, because at some point your ‘good player’ build will find itself on the chopping block if you cut down enough people you assume to not be trying as hard.

Glacial Fragments and market flippers

well maybe then the tp system need a rework since it allows people to exploit and leech from it, maybe every mat should go vendor route and gold be replaced by activity specific tokens. think unbound magic but used to buy everything per map.

and add direct trade kitten it was in gw1.

The free market serves a valuable purpose in that it removes excess gold from the economy, which allows what we have to retain its value.

Think about what you’re asking for. If every material was available in vendors and gold itself was removed, you’d be forcing everyone to play for the same amount of time, doing the same activities, to get the same rewards.

Some people (hell, lots of people,) dont have the time, patience, or ability to play certain kinds of content, and by restricting that content to tokens you alienate lots of it from people who cannot or would not enjoy playing it.

To make getting materials to fit your goals easier for yourself, you’d be crippling every single person who does not enjoy playing the way you do.

Now, which is more selfish: People selling an item at a certain price because certain individuals in the community think that buying at that price is reasonable, or crippling the ability for people to opt out of doing certain content and paying gold instead, so that it’s easier for the people that actually want to do the content?

And keep in mind, the content that would require the tokens or currency -you- are suggesting would not be easy to do. It would more than likely involve lots of time or difficulty in obtaining, because Anet needs people to play the game so that they feel invested enough to consider supporting it.

If I can make an assumption here: It appears that you are irate over the fact that obtaining a certain item is more difficult than you think it should be.

I’d like you to know that the item in question can be farmed. If you do not want to wait for the prices to drop as people notice that they are high and begin seling their stocks, I would suggest… just plain getting to work. Go farm. Then you can dump whatever excess shards you get into the market and bring the price down yourself, instead of asking people to sell you the efforts of their labor for a price you set.

market flippers should be punished for this for trying to make profit on players

No.

Part of the double edge of a free market is that it is free. Players are free to set whatever price they want on items that other people will buy. The solution to players setting this price high for supply is to simply demand it less .

You can’t punish merchants for not behaving the way you want. That’s not how that works. Granted, those prices -are- expensive, but they’re that way because people are buying them at that price.

What I would suggest is, instead of lamenting the inflation of these articles, find and use an alternative way of obtaining them, or wait for the price to go down. Items that people can easily stockpile by playing the game dont often stay inflated for very long. After a while, an individual who has saved lots of this item will catch on to the price and dump them into the market, bursting the bubble and causing prices to tank.

Why Making SPVP P2W?

in PvP

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

This thread is a month old but what the hell, heres a post.

Consider the following.

The game was originally B2P. It is now F2P.

The core specs have not generally been nerfed. The elite specs are one trait line variants of the core specs.

All core specs have at least one viable build that can contest with the game in general.

Core specs are susceptible to nerfing.

I’m not going to suggest you’re wrong or anything, but it seems kind of silly for complaints of “P2W!” to be spiraling out of the ether for months when the game being free in any aspect was due to Arenanet making the game free of their own initiative. It has hardly been crafted to allow paying players an advantage. Their sudden free access to the core game doesn’t suddenly invert the payment model.

Why do people complain about DH

in PvP

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

When rev is still a million times more OP ?

1.)Lol @ rev being a million times more OP.
2.) People complain about DH for the same reason they complained about Thief and Engie.

a.) Their whole playstyle revolves around zone capture, which slants their combat effectiveness against any other class in PVP (conquest) for the lower and mid level divisions. Just like with turret engie, being able to command a point-sized zone with fire and forget dps, blocks, and unevadable pulls can really get on people’s nerves. There really isn’t any counterplay to “Just avoid the trap” when the trap is invisible and sits on a point you NEED to stand on to even contribute to your team.

b.) elaboration on -the trap is invisible-. Most classes in this game have a particular tell to indicate that a skill is happening, will happen, or has happened. most skills in the game that fall under the latter sphere are autos, utility or defensive skills, but DH traps do significant dps. DPS + no telegraph = generally not fun to play against, lose to, or learn from.

Yes, I know making a trap visible defeats the purpose, but just framing the dislike here.
Generally, traps should do less DPS and the guardian needs to have active participation in a fight to get their DPS in.

Players are frustrated because of the terrible balance between classes. The way Anet does class balancing just doesn’t work.

It’s mostly this.

After a balance patch all the bad players with big mouths flock to whichever class has domination over the others for that particular iteration, and the backlash from that aggravates the people who have been playing that class all along and who finally see much-needed buffs that people are apparently very unhappy with.

I don’t really know how to fix this problem though. It seems as if balancing is done like a whack-a-mole game, or at least that is the result beyond any good intentions.

One class is really strong and all the trash players ride it, people complain, Anet whacks it down. Another class pops up in the power vacuum, all the trash players flock to it, Anet whacks it, another pops up.

They’re literally doing the elder dragon plot, except its balancing.

And I don’t mean to be offensive with this point, I think the balance team works really hard to try to get this right. But there are way too many moving parts to not do it a bit quicker, a bit more concisely, a bit less sweeping.

Make Enchanted Dagger charges consume on miss

in Revenant

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

Here’s an alternative viewpoint.
There is now a direct counter to an instant cast skill (or instant cast skills) that flat negate damage, something that people have been griping about for a long time.

Yes, a lot of skills consume charges on miss, but I don’t think many of those skills are also a dedicated heal for a class. If you’re asking to make the leeching whiff on miss, block,or evade, Revenants should also have that initial heal buffed, because if I am not mistaken it is one of the lowest self-heals in the game at the moment, lower even than the healing signet active (which grants resistance mind you).

Asking for a nerf to ED without increasing its appeal or usefulness in another way would probably break Shiro.

Also, consider your context, OP. Two Revenants attacked you on point (and a 2v1 should not be balanced or come out even by any means) and the center of your complaint about ED being broken is, not that you -died- (which you should have) but that you lost half your health.

in a 2v1.
Against two heavy armors.
Two heavy armors that happened to be the -only class that can do this to you-.
And they used their heal skill to do it.

Think about it.

Seriously: Just play DH

in PvP

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

DragonHunter is strong vs. teams that do not communicate. focusing a DH on visual cue/ having someone on TS say "Hey, [ArmoredWizardGuard26] dropped his circles on point X is their hard counter.

Now if your team doesn’t communicate those traps are gonna hurt. It’s also strong 1v1 vs some classes, but good conquest teams almost never have this happen.

Looking at this objectively, both sides have a point. There’s a valid reason why it is dead weight almost for organized team matches, but more effective the less people communicate. The problem I’m having is determining what should be balanced, if anything at all, to deal with this.

In Structured PVP you’re paired with a team that can assist you in just noting what DH is doing. I’d think it would be easier to hop on a TS than ask for DH innards to be rearranged, especially because class balancing is almost always hit-or-miss and I really dont want -more- condi mes.

I could just be deluded but I don’t think the answer for the problem of (DHs are too strong) is (nerf DH) this time. I think it’s (Play smarter), even though I don’t actually play one.

Hello all. I’m trying to learn revenant (Herald Spec), but I’m having some issues.

I have put together a build that has a decent damage output and some condi mitigation, but I appear to be having severe trouble with stuns and knowing how to respond to stuns before I get melted.

It may just be something I need to pick up from muscle memory, but I figured I’d ask and see what turns up:

How does one manage Shiro in order to respond quickly to stunlocks, and how does one play while in Shiro? I understand Glint pretty well and know that Shiro has the most versatile stunbreak access for Revenants at this time, but when I get forced into shiro stance by something that’s stunlocked me I kind of.. flounder.

I run Sw/SH and Staff. I have some experience with Hammer and Sw/Sw, I’ve given up on Mace and Axe because Glint is mandatory for being alive and Shiro is needed to be alive as well.

Once upon a time I used to complain about things being just brainless, but as I delved further into PVP I realized that it is slightly more effective to get rolled by a class that is easy to play until you learn how to fight it than it is to whine on the forums.

When you whine on the forums the class goes from overpowered to useless, and it’s easier to learn how to beat something that is overpowered than it is to learn how to win with a useless class.

As a thief primary... Don't Buff Us!

in PvP

Posted by: Azure The Heartless.3261

Azure The Heartless.3261

I actually meant you do have a point on many cases.

Annd I consider WvW reasonably fair game when looking at class balance, bearing in mind that foods and the like tend to often cause outliers. There should be reasonable balance in WVW as well, as far as it can go; and since I often do not play wvw over PVP you and I may well be seeing two largely different states of the thief class.

Whatver the situation may be, though; I firmly believe that this is more of a ( some other classes are slightly overboard) moreso than (Thief is too weak), given the volatile nature of thief in general, because removing the amulets that created incredibly tanky specs and modifying tanky runesets in pvp made thieves drastically more formidable as far as spvp went. If we buff thieves first, I think future adjustments to the other classes are going to leave imbalances that will be blamed on thief being OP.

And since thief’s playstyle is highly reactive, we can’t really handle nerfs well. Might be best to use the thief as a barometer of sorts for locating the problem rather than thinking thief being too weak is the problem.

All I would write to this would be a repetition of what I already wrote (a million times since June actually) But I have to get that off my chest:

Food is really not that important balance wise as you pvp guys think – it’s just to compliment your build: Assassin = more damage and more crit, tank = more vit and maybe more power – the extras usually even each other out when both opponents have got food. Like a trinket. Speaking of a 1 vs 1 situation. For zergs we formerly used food that reduced the condi duration, now we’re using food reducing the stun duration. So basically; we’re comfort eating because of the lack of balance.

Fair enough.

I’ll jump into WVW and see what that feels like.

People are jerks. If the opponent losing to vault isn’t a jerk, it’s the person pressing 5,5,5, thinking that’s skill and then berating the opponent for losing to it.
