A couple of points. We are going to move more and more towards trying to increase the rewards in the rank up chests. As for the lack of rewards for defending, it is really a limitation of the way the content currently exists. We are working on solutions to it, but we always face the problem that making a major change to existing, working content is very dangerous and has to have a very long test time. Defending is super simple to get credit for right now, and because of that it’s difficult for us to put a serious amount of rewards on it. If we did, it would incentivize people to stand around, repair a wall for a second or two, then jet off. Until we fix the way that content determines who deserves rewards, we can’t bump the rewards as much as we’d like to.

We absolutely agree that defending is not rewarded well enough and we will address it when we have the best solution.

I don’t understand this trying part, just do it already. And give bonus chests again for those who have suffered with the poor chests we currently have.

Any one with over 3.5k armor does not get hit for over 6k period.

It is condition spamz that armor has no affect on, low HP classes should be given the best conditon removals in the game, high HP classes should be given the lesser ones. Give guardians better condi removal, some that will not take up slots/traits for our build, as it is now, we can not keep up with the condi spamz and deal decent dmg, unlike necros.

I have over that and get hit for 7k quite a bit. I have 0 problems with condition, runes food and ability’s take care of that.

The only change I would like to see done to retaliation is make it do what it reads.

Reflect damage back to the target. It should reflect %100 of the damage back to the target having the player with retal take 0 damage.

They have said lots of things and lied about a lot of things. Never trust them.

Toughness and armor needs to do a lot more against non condition attacks than it currently does. A heavy armor user with over 3k armor should NEVER get hit for 6k plus.

Light armor and street cloths should give 0% additional damage reduction.
Medium Armor %10
Heavy Armor %35

That is to start with additional changes to boost armor may be needed.

As a roamer who is mainly camp flipping I went with defense against guards. It lets me get in and grab agro and survive a little longer.

Is it because they don’t contribute to ppt and cause ppt players to be stuck in the queue and thus hurt the performance of their server?

If this is the case, GvG players would do well to move to the lower tiers where there are no queues except possible for a few hours on reset.

Everybody wins in this case. Low tier servers get some population and GvGers can GvG.

That is a big part, the other part is I am not on a role playing server and gvg is nothing but a bunch of role-players who are not helping their server out. Let them go back to dueling out side orgrimmar.

And with the addition of leagues I hope their are some serious penalty’s put on the players who are ruing WvW in that manner.

1) Have it so you can right click to remove.
2) Have some sort of item sold by the BL vendors that overwrites the orb buff.
3) Have an item that adds -50 stats to myself.

Simple solution:

Give Golems a permanent AOE condition with 5000 range that affects other golems.
Make that condition reduce damage done by 3%, stacking in intensity, capped at 25 stacks.

That way:
2 golems: 3% damage reduction
5 golems: 12% damage reduction
10 golems: 27% damage reduction
20 golems: 57% damage reduction
26 golems: 75% damage reduction
100 golems: 75% damage reduction

Another solution would be to give them a limited range from where they were built or last refreshed. Have it so that they could reach bay and garrison, or bay and the center tower opposite garrison depending on the side of the lake they were built. If they are then ported back to home base and left for safety as they often are then their range is refreshed their allowing them to get the two supply camps on either side and the tower straight ahead.

I would like to see our shield skills buffed up a lot. The healing from #5 is far less than the staff heal with a much longer cooldown even traited. Some one also mentioned having #4 inflict weakness.

The biggest issues I have with the guardian are as follows.

Our health pool is way to low, the meager regen we get is nothing compared to what other class’s get. Warrior, ranger etc.

Armor makes little difference, heavy armor should offer more of a reduction and toughness should add even more on top of it.
Even with high toughness and heavy armor it is not uncommon to get hit for 6k+ hits.

Lack of soft cc to keep them in melee range.

Healing does not scale/work especially our group heals other than the elite tome full heal.

With the long cool downs, and poor scaling with healing power we are not able to counter or exceed damage done. Taking high healing power has one give up a lot of other benefits yet the benefit from it is subpar.

• just a dream would be fun to have save your self’s act like a necros plague and spread our ally’s conditions on our near by enemies.

Conditions are fine, they are easy to counter if you want to. Get the proper runes, foods and traits and no problem.

Toughness how ever is not fine and needs a serious boost. Perhaps have the armor sets give a base damage reduction.

Toughness is fine. In a fight every heal is essentially boosted by armor. Toughness also mitigates spike damage. Vitality may be better in the first few seconds of a fight, but once it is gone there is nothing that gets it back. Toughness scales, vitality doesn’t sans condi damage.

Sad and wrong toughness does not counter spike damage. Getting hit for over 6k them 5k 5k spam in less two seconds is not countering spike damage. And healing is not able to keep up let alone over come this sort of damage.

The fact that you can sacrifice everything in terms of stats to get 3500+ Armor and still have Thieves hitting you for 5-6k, or Eviscerates for 7k+ is ridiculous.

The problem with this is there would be a flood of “little brothers” deleting characters, items, gold and so forth. There is no way to prove that the account holder didn’t do it themselves. From following this forum for a bit it seems there are a lot of mean little brothers, little sisters, cousins, roommates, and mailmen that love deleting people’s GW2 stuff.

This is true, although their is also no way to proof it didn’t happen as stated. Good customer and business practice would be to have them help the customer. Anet gains a lot by offering good service, although can loose a lot by not offering a good level of service. From the player no long playing and taking friends with them. Or worse continuing to play and not do any micro transactions with the company.

I thought I saw more selections today. One of the traders had separate tabs to select to get the various stat types. Will check it out in a few moments.

Just checked and the armor master has the various types still on the Dragonbrand server.

I have salvaged nearly 30 exotics with none of the dark matter being given. Tried with magic find food, booster and the yellow kits….nada.

Conditions are fine, they are easy to counter if you want to. Get the proper runes, foods and traits and no problem.

Light armor 10% reduction
Medium armor 15% reduction

And then the armor value and toughness added to it.

Or change it like daoc where armor did better against certain weapons.

I am hoping they were not stupid, but merely incompetent. Stupid would be removing them from the monthly, incompetent would not having the poor coding caught by the coder or qa before it went live.

Well we all can be happy, that it turned out great for you, but how about the rest of us, who don’t need another pve trinket set and will have to sell our accessories + amulet to the merchant for 5 silver, when we paid 10 gold + guild commendations + laurels for them, so yeah, there are NO REFUNDS, absolute zero, I’m not even counting my exotic magic find armor set + weapon I had to salvage, at least I got some ectos from those…

Sorry those are my WvW ranks on the different 80’s I have and that I can remember their rank. It is a pain for me trying to get them all up in their ranks.

I don’t believe so, I will try again shortly. Most likely their program is a 3rd party of sorts that has been identified as a security risk and that’s why it can be loaded at these sights. Would suck if that’s the case although poor implementation and shody programing looks to be issue.

I am low rank 38/20/18 and cant recall my other characters ranks. Not a single exotic let alone an ascended.

Like Maskaganda, my friend and I like to find small fights,1-3 and to do the solo camp flip. Right now they out of town leaving me alone to be bored by this new problem.

I am set up as a healing guardian http://tinyurl.com/q2nj6mm and could not pick off stragglers. They would just keep running, expected the zerg to turn and smash me at times but it did not happen.

On a side note hope to never see Mask in game unless you show up on my server

riftblade or any other class that does not take a wvw slot.

Allowing ascended gear in to WvW was a screwup you are right.

As for the now portion it is simple, some people like a challenge and not go up against poorly coded boring mobs that bots can run.

Are the ascended weapons accountbound etc? Just wondering if I can also craft for friends or if we both need to be working on this and not pooling resources.

bad thing is you can only choose the weapon type not the stats so he got healing power vita and condi dmg

and yes the difference will be big if you use full ascended vs exotics i think will be arround 200 primary stats at least

Sucks you cant choose the stats but did we really think it would be a good system?

If you want a jack of all trades, you want to be a Mesmer. Trust me when I say we have the most build diversity out there. We can be as tanky as a guardian or as damaging as a thief. We do suffer from being slow compered to the rest of the other classes.

Sorry to hijack, was wondering if you could send a link or two over. Have a friend who is coming back to the game, got 80 then quit playing and is a meser. I know nothing about them so any help would be great.

Toughness needs a serious boost in the game, as well as armor types. Having over 3k armor one should not be getting hit for 6+k.

Based on what you said,
Ranger…..not great at a lot of things although with beastmaster it makes taking camps simple as the pet can tank for you.
Warrior, or thief also. thief has a hard time with camps (mine does but I suck as a thief) although the thief is a great roamer. My brother also has a good time of it with his engineer.
My guardian is to slow at killing to be truly viable, but she is set up to heal mainly.

Maybe coding for du er no I would not. What have they done for us to consider bailing them out?

O nope that didn’t happen, orr temples give a ton more.

Ascended weapons were not normalized or kept from WvW and 101 other issues they have failed to act on.

Why not reverse it for a change, give the crappy reward amounts in the poorly coded pve environment and the better rewards in WvW?

From another thread…looks like Devon was on this….I mean they are so close to even. Seriously screw the pve for now, its poorly coded and boring. Give the swing to wvW for a change.

I bought 4 twisted portal devices off of the tp, and the first one I used teleported me, but the one I used just after I used the first one did the animation, then finished the animation and I was still in the same area. repeated it a second time, happened exactly the same the second time. is this a bug or intended?

This happend to me and some friends last night. wasted around 10 of them.
