The Giganticus Lupicus were a group of very large races. The smallest known one being the risen Giganticus Lupicus found in Arah – the rest have their bones spread across continental Tyria and Elona, with the most common bones being found in the Crystal Desert and Desolation. (See these ).

These creatures were by no known means really humanoid. Though at least one of three identifiable distinct races that make up the Giganticus Lupicus are bipedal, nothing says the others are. And the other two seen specimen of the Giganticus Lupicus are even possibly on par to Elder Dragon size. Of the two skulls seen, one looks rather serpentine while the other looks more mammoth/elephant-like.

There’s dialogue in one of the Straits of Devastation mini-dungeons that imply the Leviathans share origins (in age) with the Giganticus Lupicus (though it’s specifically said to be related to the Elder Dragons’ history, the ED are highly suspected of wiping the G-Lupe out, implying that the Leviathans could be considered among the Giganticus Lupicus though a few still remain).

Giants on the other hand are different. In GW1, while they were horned or tusked, they appeared more like ogres in GW2. The giants in GW2 are effectively very tall cyclopian humans. Whether there’s any ties between giants and the G-Lupe is unknown, though I suspect they hold ties to ogres and jotun (those two being heavily hinted to being cousin races, and both are ancient races to boot).

You were likely confused by the “non-scholarly” title for the Giganticus Lupicus – the Great Giants, or True Giants. The nickname is meant to tell us “they made what we know today as ‘giants’ to be fairly small” – which is entirely true.

Sp since T1 has the most active GvG scence in the NA grouping though i’d ask you guys as this happened tonight on ioj/sbi/nsp. Had a good friendly GvG about to happen when an Anet employee showed up and told us we were breaking the code of conduct and exploiting game mechanics and tried to stop the GvG. Wondering if any of you guys have heard/had this happen and if not I guess watch for it now.. Anet cracking down “Exploits” finally I guess… O wait sunny and bay can still be breached easily lol.

SBI I couldnt help but notice that after the gvg you all quickly left without other sbi around. Started fight club up on nsp bl, windmill after. Only about 3-4 stayed. down to 1 sbi now. L2pwithoutnumbers.

We’ve never wiped to a pug zerg even numbers today. The IoJ we’ve came across were awful at fighting, plus we only had 7 people running today…

IoJ gets stomped by less numbers and resorts to open field siege “tactics.” Talk about skilled players.

I was throwing AC build sites into a tower with some ddlg in it to help them out but they kept on destroying them instead of building them. SO RUDE.

Plus the only good DDLG are in Bags also, Then again only 3-4 bags players are good and they’re all here trolling on the forums anyways.

Edit: 95% of the time its going to kill your allies, Use only for extreme Measures.

Took sbi 2 hours to get their paper briar back by the end 80% of our guild had gotten off and only 4 guys remained xD was fun fights tonight. Specially loved our push out of tower into sbi Zerg with 6 of us vs. at least 15 and killed 7+ lol

Actually with weapons they did a great job in my opinion of adding in inscriptions they forgot for exotics. There’s currently a soldiers inscription for ascended weapons, I will check for dire and rabid real fast. I’m guessing they will do the same for armor, as the inscriptions are a whole new level of crafting from the exotics.
