I just disconnected in the end of a game, we won 500-180 as a full group.
I started at rank 42 on the leaderboard and now i dropped to rank 63, the enemies got 5 points during game for me dc´ing and my team got outnumbered for a minute.
Why do i get so many disadvantages for dc´ing?
I don´t understand why i lose rating for a game that i actually won…
Will we ever get a decent ladder and not a ladder which shows who got the most stable internet connection?

you need just one guy in the teamfight for aoe stability so your dmg dealer won´t get cct while dpsing a downstate target and unfortunately only guard can do this.
You should kite the ranger pet in a circle so you won´t get hit ever .

attrition is fine if the developers would understand how it works, having a 2nd healthpool that can´t be refilled cause you eat more dmg then everyone else is not attrition.
The current attrition classes have perma vigor and multiple sources of heal.
Engi got regen, water blasts, selfrezz, 125heal/sec from a trait + vigor. Same for ele thief and ranger, all have different sources of heal next to their standart #6 ability and they all have vigor and different sources of skill based evades.
heal+avoid+stunbreak+cc= attrition ; 2nd healthpool=crap
! if they really want to make necro an attrition class with unique mechanics then make it easier to fill lifeforce and give them reliable life steal mechanics like necros in every other game have !

So only guards can take other guards out ? Warriors should just all go rifle or longbow spec and rain kitten down on the guard with there AE teamates.. Thats why people dont take warriors and why Thiefs now are using cluster bomb non stop its the new meta RAIN AE on the Point. How does this seem fun to you guys?

mesmer roots me, i tried to dodge it, got rooted , tried to block the incoming damage , but when the root fell off , my character dodged for no reason and itnerrupted my block and i died. thank you arenat

can´t play hotjoins because I try to join but it´s full every time. Can´t see the number of players in the hotjoin since the number also includes spectating people or stuff.
With my slow harddrive teams are always full before I can load when a new round starts and searching servers with empty slots is difficult for the reason I already named. It costs me 5 minutes every time i try to join and leave again because it was full due to looong loading times.
at the moment the combat log does not show defensive skills, heals, dodges etc.
I feel like I get hit during dodges, blocks etc very often by stuff that shouldn´t do that.
With an improvement of combat log I could actually see how kittenty the servers are and blame the game for losing
while i did some tests with a friend on another dodge bug we just figured out that i can root him DURING his dodge roll, means he is rootet when he lands, but he is not in my melee range anymore after my illusionary leap.
How is this even possible? Are the servers so slow? For a game meant to be e-sports?
when i try to dodge an immobilize, but get hit by it, my character always dodges AFTER the immobilize. This means i waste energy and intterrupt my casts, heals, whatever, so skills that have to be channelled like ether renewal go on full cooldown.
Usually i use ether renewal to get out of mesmer root to avoid blurred frenzy, but of course i try to dodge the root first and when it didnt work my heal gets on full coooldown because of a stupid dodgeroll i never wanted!
it´s not just annoying, it´s gamebreaking…
it´s not just wasting my energy, but also interrupting my heal so it goes on full cooldown
Did some tests on it now, also figured out that we can reproduce another bug where i can hit my friend during his dodgeroll (he is rootet at end of dodgeroll, best indicator to proof it), we can reproduce that with human reaction time, means the servers are horribly slow !

when you dodge while a root hits you or while you are in root, you will ALWAYS dodgeroll after the root interrupting casts and heals which is gamebreaking.
This is some broken kitten interrupting a heal cd that is needed. For example i want to dodge mesmer root, he hits because i am too slow, server delay wahtever. Then i try to remove the root with ether renewal to get out of his blurred frenzy, but as soon as the root is cleansed my character dodge rolls interrupting my heal so i lose like 6k heal making me lose a game.
you need to fix this really quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hello, my name is ele and i would really like to give up my burning speed tickling dmg after the initial burst because it attacks multiple times per seconds for 100 dmg only, that is less than retal and kills me against hgh engis.
why are there any skills in the game doing less dmg than retal? what is the benefit of it? in fire attunement i can manage to lose 60% of my hp in 3 seconds to retal by attacking 1 person. because of burning speed ticks and triple projectile autoattack.
I really think this is a prime example of developers caving in to community complaints. People are frustrated by a single spell (that is neither unique nor op) that represents a build that IS op and call foul.
The 40s cooldown is absurd, there’s no other way to put it. This nerf misses some of the major goals they need to hit with the ele; it —
1) Doesn’t promote build diversity
2) Doesn’t nerf the bunker build
3) Reduces the much-needed survivability of burst/zerker Eles
4) Reduces ele skill cap while not addressing skill floor issues
5) Deeply harms S/D mobility, forcing more players into D/D
6) Hurts the Ele in PvE
I can continue but I’d rather not.This was a very poor balancing choice, simple and plain. Here’s to hoping in seeking balance for the Elementalist ANet doesn’t destroy the profession altogether.

Forest of Nifhel the two different bosses… one is using ranged attacks and I think he is a bit harder to kill because of that.
forest of nifl → mine is open and if you get knocked out by tornado you can run in again
henge you are stuck between wall and tornado and ele can fullcap
HGH nades is weak to:
1) Burst
2) Kiting (unless is solely condition damage)
3) Boon Stripping
4) Heavy CCThey have one stunbreak, which is a 3 second invulnerable (they shrink). Other than that, they can peel off conditions well. Do not let them get close unless you are burst that can finish them off before they finish you. They melt in a matter of seconds under focused fire if Elixir S is on cooldown.
what class is not weak to this? ^.^
aslong as you are a team (have teamratings) you should be able to find strategies for all the maps, so this is not needed.
And since this is a teambased game there you should be teamratings.
There are plenty of issues with map balancing.
For example you can easily decap quarry with tornado, BUT on waterfall there is a fence ON the node so you can stand in front of it and avoid getting knocked off the node.
on khylo on one side there is a building in the line of sight to closepoint so you can´t see people sneaking around to closepoint from the window.
On many maps the side points have different range to middle
At the moment the system doesn´t allow me to play with friends or solo q if i am bored or trying new strategies. The ladder doesn´t represent the skill of any player due to this issue. I will never be able to reach the top as long as i play with friends, no matter how good i play.
Also if you really want to push your rating you have to snipe other good teams, since bad teams won´t give you many points and you can only lose points to them, like you get +1 10times and then you get one unlucky loss and lose like 50 rating.
And someday people start camping their rating and you won´t be able to get there anymore when you can just face low ranked teams. I made this experience in other games when i justed camped my rating on the ladder for hald a year for a special title.
Would be nice if we see a real ladder in the future instead of this placeholder.

atleast in wow you can line of sight the enemy and dont have to stay on an open field (node)spamming aoes into each other.
you have to chain cc´s properly, interrupt, predict, way more abilities
arena is way more skillful, BUT pillarhumping is annoying, i enjoyed rated bg´s way more
1. Blurred Frenzy, most OP skill I have ever seen. 2 seconds of invulnerability on a 10 second cooldown, wtf? What other class has 2 seconds of invulnerability on a 10s cooldown? I’m not even considering the extra burst.
2. Ilusionary Leap, while technically not a stun break can basically nullify the effects of immobilize or snare or freeze. On a 12 second cooldown.Both are hilariously easy to avoid. L2 kitten ue. In a matchup between an equally good mesmer and ele, the ele will win more often than not – by a significant margin I’m betting.
if the mesmer tries to hold the node , yes. If the mesmer let you neutralize it, no.

how about ccing, rezzing, counter pressuring, using defensive cooldowns or mobility to disengage ?
you cant balance the game around complains of new players. ofc you should get pusnihed for being outnumbered or rewareded for calling a target.
All the traitlines are almost the same like on release day, when noone had a clue what is gonna be strong or weak, what´s viable or not.
So all the traits we are working with are somehow a product of happenstance and to balance the game you are tweaking stuff around this.
Anet, you are the instance of balancing this game and you are responsible for build diversity. People will always find cookie cutter builds cause it works out better in the meta game and 80% of the traits are useles anyways for pvpers
So why can´t you take action and start balancing around your ideas of a class instead of the random traits you gave us?
For example you could just figure out what it needs to be viable and revamp traitlines so you actually implement your own synergy and numbers that you can control 100% without affecting other stuff. Like having an elixier traitline, rifle traitline, condi traitline, turret traitline whatever
[hope you understand the concept, it´s very similar to WoW, they also took control of numbers by 100% and then let people just decide about playstyle(e.g. fury or arms warrior) and numbers.]
I also wonder there is only 1 condition weapon for mesmer, if you want to have strong condi build you need to change that. So as you can see you should FIRST think of what you want to have in the game and THEN make the traits/weapons.
And when you notice people are overusing stuff or not using things at all you can tweak it to bring maximum diversity and bring everything on par. If you want to have succes with a concetp you need a CONTROLED environment before experimenting and only change one variable at once!
This way you could decide how bunkersih bunkers are, how much burst there is+ the meta game would be so exciting with hammer warrios, venom thiefs, turrets bunker engis and other stuff many people can just dream of.
As hardcore pvp´er i really care about the e-sports future of this game so i just shared my thoughts on this here. Unfortunately it might be too late for this great game to change the way builds work.
Maybe I am wrong with my idea, maybe many people like it, so feedback would be apppreciated.

laurels are implenented for spvp now and i already see an increase, so i totally agree with you
quicknes nerf was needed, unfortunately it hit warrior pretty hard.
They need to give some love to this class for sure.

learn to land your oneshot, learn to position yourself, learn to make use of your teleports and stealth to disengage.
You are struggling against necro as thief? Maybe you should start playing other classes to get a feeling how it is to face a thief, if you feel uncomfortable with being squishy.
Grind your rating up to the highest, you will see all classes on your way cause everything is viable. Yes, build diversity is lacking and some classes are more common than others, but In your lovely blizzard product you will face some fotm comps every seasons for how many years now?

I can´t play during prime time. Lags are over 5 seconds until disconnect.
This is the issue in pve and pvp and before the patch this game was like 100% fluent.

only issue i have is with knockdowns and stunbreaker. I have to wait for the knockdown animation to end before i use my stunbreaker, otherwise it won´t work.
interesting question, would be nice if anet would show some more transparency to the community.

Hi guys, Ill keep it simple.
I have 600 hours on a ranger, and I consider myself to be one of the best rangers around. Recently, I rolled a mesmer and got a build from a friend. At about 5 hours of play time, I far surpassed my skill as a ranger. Without even learning exactly what is going on, I’m already better than I was at 600 hours on another class.. I don’t think thats right.
because spamming evades and protection with perma regen and condi removal as ranger while waiting for your pet/burn to tear down the enemy while you got the highest toughnes in the game is so much harder than playing mesmer…
I think you hotjoin heroes have some l2p issues

whatever you do with pvp servers, stop it or do it out of prime time
my provider is telekom, but my internet connection is very good. Only issues are on your pvp servers, same as yesterday
if someone dies and drop the orb, how can i get the orb without stomping the player? Double click doesn´t work and if i press f it always starts stomping.
could you please stop people below rank 15 or sth from joining into tournament games? They have no idea how the game works. Force them to coolect some experience in hotjoin before they mess my team every single game.
And the issue is not that you have to do this to reduce q time, qtimes would be better if you would make pvp fun so more people play it.
Maybe something more than glasscanon and toughnes/condi

it´s noticable harder to win outlasting fights as ele so many people went back to burst builds with arcane utilities

there are many bugs, especially with teleports and illusionary leap ( this abiltiy is nearly useless on this map)
sometime me and my friends lost the orb randomly without using any skill that could cause it and the enemy took it right next to us
Also i often get stuck in walls from using staff 2 as mesmer.
This map highly promotes zerging since you can neutralise a node defended by a bunker going there with the orb. Also you can channel the orb with quickness wich results into freecaps sometimes since the interrupt from dmg comes too late due to server delays.
this is just what i experienced and i hope this will invite for nice conversation about the design of this map. I think i should let you know when there are some things i don´t like actually so you have the chance to improve

downstate nr3 doesnt rezz me 8 out of 10 times, reportet this over and over again like 1 time per month but you never fix this
also my stunbreaker (signet and reflexes) dont work against basilisks venom, i can move after stunbreaker but i cant dodge/heal so i always gonna die when i get hit by that

to those people saying : wear toughness wear virality, run counter ability x or y.
THIS IS NOT HOW THIS GAME WORKS
a mesmer cant wear toughness, every other class would do better with toughness build, mesmer cant take outlasting fights. jsut because the class is build around this.
as a ranger you get killed like this too because you either have no toughness or you have no vitality, there simply is no vitality toughnes condi dmg amulet
it´s just thief being broken because they gave them too much dmg and not enough other stuff
