Hello, I am here to ask for criterias that my future teammates have to fullfill in order to participate in future tournaments.
The rules of the current world tournament series are a big mess and caused my team Cheese Mode [CM] to quit the game after we have been #1 for over a year, thank you for this so far.
Now I got noone to play with, but I might try to form a team again with eligable players.
Also you should work on the community instead of pushing tournaments. I tried to find new players to replace underage / non european players for 2 month, but with the current size of PvP community it is almost impossible to find players of equal skill level.

Right now during tog qualifier we got 5 seconds delay, we played a team q between the matches and oponents guard portet in downstate on point after we let him bleed 5 secs already, few seconds later he dcd.
gave me a good laugh
Obviously i need to Read animations in order to dodge pin down and other stuff.
3% direct dmg mitigation in earth (no protection) seems to work even tho it doesnt show in the stats window and doesnt affect runes or other things that scale of toughnes.
They fixed it with the last patch.

fixed what? There is no hidden toughnes, my conditions with rune of the undead still tick for the same amount in earth attunement.
Mhh i tested rune of undead and plague form (which increases toughness) together and i also didnt get the extra condition damage it should give. But i am certain that i did get the extra toughness from plague from (tested it by letting svanir hit me). So my guess is that ether rune of undead is buggy or only toughness given from amulets/gear (unconditional toughness?) gives the extra condition damage.
or the trait doesn´t work, I am going to do a dmg test now to veryfie if there is increased mitigation or not.

Hello, I am playing competitive PvP and particle effects like grenades, trebuchet etc ruin my day because they make my fps drop so I can´t react for like 2 seconds, especially when i have to look into them (get knocked in front of wall + grenades)
I Uploaded a Screenshot of my Autodetect Settings. Now I need advice what on what can be reduced to get a good effiency of fps gain / graphics quality loss.

This Ele minor trait doesn´t work anymore. Don´t know if anyone has noticed yet, but I would really like to have my 120 toughnes back :>
Maybe I don´t die frequently enough to notice what is wrong except that it sometimes triggers on accident.

Almost all meta builds rely on their synergy with sigils. Why can´t you balance the classes around their own abilities.
air/fire/doom/battle/intelligence if those dont synergize well with your build you are almost lost in this current balance state. Thats why necros and rangers got a hard time, they get almost no value from doom since they apply poison by design. They can´t be run as glass canon due to lack of mitigation on a competiitve level and they dont scale with might stacking at all.
6 dcs in total in 1 solo q and very nice lags, much fun and so helpful.

All german players from my team have unplayable lags for 2 days now, fix please.
Mesmer/Thief combo is op because of their broken damage.
Especially Mesmer damage is broken while thief fits more the mobility role.
A single Mesmer can oneshot people with direct damage and clones alone are almost impossible to outsustain.
u dont even need a guardian.
If you have to run a guardian there is also something wrong with the game.
Most top teams are running guard ele war mesmer thief in europe so we have a good diversity. The Na scene seems to be abit more condition heavy.

I saw the replies on the Steal bug thread and Anet did adress it, so how many threads do I have to create to get the rezz spirit fixed if anet doesn´t notice a single post?
This bug probably exsists since release and currently people don´t run ranger in tournaments so this is not big of a topic for most people, which doesn´t mean that it should not be adressed.
I just tried to rezz myself in a duel and it didn´t go off, but i was sure i activated it, so my Teammate let me revive to check if the rezz was on cd and yes, it was on cd because the pet starting moving.
How can you not fix a 180 sec Elite skill ?
As staff ele you have to use ether renewal, the signet doesn´t scale too well with your low attack speed.
As rune I prefer pirate because it is the only way to be decent in duels due to lack of viable single target abilities since they are all poorly designed. Also you can keep the pet alive with heals and the control abilities make sure your pets can land some hits.
You have no real choice but celestial 0 0 2 6 6 , as glass canon it takes too long to build up damage and doesnt synergise with being squishy and triple cantrips are mendatory for vigor. No vigor=no evasive arcana=bad
Your role switches between back point defender while attacking mid from max range, teamsupport like guardian and stand on point while rotating with your warrior and decapping/forcing squishy classes off point when opponents make rotation mistakes.

If it wasn´t a l2p issue all top teams would run ranger
Thief is really squishy and dies fast. This class is used for strategical reasons in tournaments to decap points or outnumber enemies and finish them off. In an organized tournament environment ranger is probably the worst class, so that is not a good advice at all.
Since you are new to pvp you should start with a class that doesnt die on the first mistake. I´d suggest ele warrior or engi. They provide the best durability in fights and are solid 1v1.
If you want to stick to thief make sure you run a correct build. The builds provided by default are really bad and harm new players.
8 seconds lag, can´t press any buttons etc. Much fun.

But this is a team game and you shouldnt see classes that isolated. They fill specific roles and even if they are not on top they might be the best for their role.

Funny how people sriously think ranger is good just because it does high single target damage as a full glass canon spec. On any competitive level your opponents will pick you off or line of sight.

If thief is unplayable what is ranger? There are many bugs in this game like stuck bug, port into texture, rezz spirit moving into selfinterrupt a 180sec cd, gust missing its target from melee range and other poorly designed stuff. Sure those bugs should be adressed, but I think you are overreacting a bit.

thieves will interrupt you anyways with steal, no matter if you have stability.
I think I miss-understood it then, they are putting a 0.5 cast time on corrupt boon, actually instant cast , in what it is a buff ?
No, as it is now CB is casted instantly but with a 0.5 sec aftercast (so it’s not properly an instacast).
After the patch, CB will have a 0.25 casting time and 0.25 after cast.
Corrupt Boons is not instant, it has got a 0,25sec cast time already even tho it doesn´t show in the tooltip. I got interrupted on this ability many times, so it is definitely not instant.

I used to main necro back in the days and I hate the low amount of healing. 5k heal every 25 seconds won´t let you stay in any attrition fight for long. They should reduce life force tanking and give them some life steal options.
But that´s just my personal reason for dropping necro.

Warriors get forced to run aoe f1 abilities to make sure they get their cleanse by hitting random targets like pets. I also think this balancing move wasn´t correct at all.
Warrior surviveability was totally fine if they wouldn´t deal absurd amount of damage when you get too close to them. The reason for this high overall damage are 25 might stacks which equals 1750 offensive stats. That´s more than a 2nd amulet and only 2 classes can reliably remove it (mesmer and thief).
So you can measure the one team by peak rating and another team by other performances? You admit that this is crap and yet refuse to fix it, so any further discussion is pointless.
Next time find a shady system where you don´t have to cheat on, kk thx bye.

Rewards for leaderboard, seasonal resets like every 2 month, so no decay issue. Would be way more representative than ToL where you can get a legendary by winning 3 games vs a top team :x

Maybe you didn´t notice, but we are still dominating and didn´t lose a single game yet and all our players are as good as those who left us. However this tournament gets way too much attention for what it is. High risk comps make the outcome very unpredictable and 3 wins won´t determine who is the best team overall, especially when the brackets are that uneven. There are many good teams which are on the same level and they all deserve the same amount of respect. Atleast it keeps the cluesless hyped and keeps the teams active.

he is talking about the tournament in china with cash prize
since it is pvp and the uptime of damage is low since either you or the enemy is dodging air and fire are the way to go cause they recharge in your down time
