So we played some ranked team q and one of our members went down without losing and the player who passed him didn´t play for a couple of weeks.

why do i get paired with deathblossom thiefs and other players that have no clue how pvp works and obviously don´t know what builds are viable?
flesh golem doesn´t attack in tpvp randomly for no reason
as necro i don´t have movement reliable abilities that can break this bug. can you please fix this? nearly lost a game to this
Im here to find someone who has a big heart and shares information and of course I am complaining when my team suffers from disadvantage
What are you going to do after the next-next patch? Drop the players who play classes which don’t fit the meta?
We don´t invite players that are not versatile enough to play other classes(as i said, we are forming a competitive team), but it´s really helpful when someone is mechanically good with what we need and has the opportunity to practise what we need in the future
We know some people(also players from top teams) are playing on test servers, it´s just they are not allowed to share information, quite unfair for competition
currently we are forming a competetive team, but we are missing a fifth player (I´m not looking for players here). In order to practise or find the last class that would fit into our lineup we have to know the upcaoming changes, since it won´t solve the balance issues and we can´t play with non viable classes as a competitive team.
We don´t have the unfair advantage of having a teammate participating on the ptr server and this is why I am asking for those information.
I would appreciate it if anyone can help us out

Reduce overall dmg, nerf vigor and energy, so evading telegraphed cc´s is more rewarding. Create build diversity (rifle engi, power ranger, dps guard, ele bunker, venom share, power nec etc), but this needs more than 2 anet devs listening to a community that has no clue(we have 2 non viable classes and all other classes only have one viable build after one year). After all builds and classes are on par make playing pvp rewarding and get tons of players and viewers.
Unfortunately with the current balance speed the awesome gw2 engine will be outdated before we get to this point.
we don´t need a META
We need teams with different strategies for example bunker and decapping vs teamfight comps, direct vs condi vs mixed etc
Problem is, that some classes are so overpowered that you build a whole team around them and this is what creates a meta.
Classes that are nearly unbeatable in 1v1 pushing sidepoints, Guardians overpowered for one year now, but aslong as it doesn´t hurt noone cares. Certain classes doing way too much pressure and revives without touching the downed guy. This is not healthy for the game.
It´s those overpowered things you build around and that is creating a meta.
We need more build diversity, but we don´t need ONE meta. It´s not fun to play nor to watch if everyone is following the same strategy because nothing else is on par.
No balanced game should have classes that are a must have to compete as a team.
I don´t even remember the last time I´ve seen a team without guardian.
many classes cant counterplay instant knockbacks , instant 3 sec fears, or dont have condi remove to get out of immobilize to evade castet knockbacks, it´s plain stupid
arenanet punishes disconects as leavers , same happened to me , after ~20 wins in a row im still not back to my previous rating
nerf energy, nerf vigor, reduce over all dmg, so you dont have to dodge autoattacks and dodging could be focused on important skills like cc and high bursts
ofc some classes live from their vigor/energy, so they´d need some compensation
probably it´s already too late to make changes like this cause anet messed up from the start and didnt react fast enough
the system should also notice the paly mmr, when i paly in the morning i only face noobs and play vs noobs, so if I lose, i go down like 50 ranks, which takes like 10 wins vs decent teams to get back to top 100. Means the system should not punish me for bad mates
trying to make sure we don’t “force” the meta in one direction or another. Metas are always driven by player perception, so our goal is to provide the players with multiple viable choices, and let them decide how they want to approach the game.
where is the meta choice without guardian? I can´t see any other viable teamsupporter that can bunker a node.
You really have to work on the amount of viable builds to free up class choice so we dont get stuck with one meta
you are not saying they are fine, but I dont trust those red guys anymore, so I just want to make sure
@ Class diversity: The community also seems to feel that Warriors are in a good place right now in PvP. That’s 7 classes. You could make a case that Mesmers have a hard time in a hard condition meta, and I think a lot of people would agree with you. They have counters to conditions, but a lot of players don’t like to run those in standard Mesmer setups.
@ Balance: Perception of balance is always changing, so we’ll continue to try to make sure all classes have good options!

yes, warriors are in a good spot, but That´s not 7 classes, it´s 6 classes. Elementalists defense is aweful and they shouldnt be build around high bursts wasting everything they have trying to oneshot someone just to become useless after this attempt. Ele no.6 abilities are the worst in game, same with elite.
since the solo q leaderboard mmr doesnt work and you dont have fair matches at all, will there be a leaderboard reset after the fix of mmr and 4v5s?
Solo q is the reason for less players in team q cause there are less pug groups, so the overall mmr will deflate, means it will be impossible to catch up with those, who are already high rated. Therefore the team leaderboard must be resettet, too.
Bud, i really wonder if we play the same game. A thief just presses no.2 and teleports out of line of sight while stunned. Every dodgeroll grants swiftnes while he can teleport without cooldown on shortbow 5. Thiefs have higher swiftness uptime then eles and can spam evades like mad. They have way more surviveability than ele, while being able to fight in the enemy backline, preventing save stomps with shadowrefuge and have an instant heal that also evades and procs lyssa very frequently.
if they only touch necro slightly they will immediately disappear from the meta since warriors pretty much counter them and warrior are currently on a rise
should play more games than 10 to be shown on leaderboard
Don’t look at the leaderboard if you don’t like it. Some of us actually enjoy it while we don’t necessarily agree its working perfectly. If it’s purely luck based then why aren’t noobs in the top 100? Oddly enough skilled players are performing as expected… they’re doing very well on them.
If you don’t care about it don’t look at it.
You can carry SOME teams to some extend, so overall, yes it´s more likely to find good players on higher ratings, but it´s still too luck dependent to actually measure someones skill

NOTHING is competitive about playing 4v5s, luck based and unbalanced setups.
Or does anyone really think this is competitive and deserves a leaderboard to represent palyers “skilllevel” ?

was really funny to face 3 spirit rangers in a teamfight, 3players+5 npcs per ranger= 18 targets, unfortunately most of my attacks are aoe as necro and i can only hit 5targets with one aoe, so my chance of hitting a player was slightly higher than 25% while they were sitting in perma healing spring removing all conditions constantly, while I can´t run away from 3 wolfs chasing me down in 60seconds.
can´t you bring more players to pvp via reward system? When thousands of players farm the most boring dungeon over and over again just for some gold (I´m talking about cof p1) then it should be pretty easy to increase the pvp playerbase just by adding any kind of reward
We know about sync problems but people need to accept there are players better than others, and some are really strong.

solo q sucks player off team q, the queue times are insanely long and we will get a rating defaltion due to less players participating in team q, so you cannot catch up to top ratings.
Also the leaderbaord for solo q makes no sense, since it´s not competitive, but luck based.
but there are less viable classes at the moment then back in the old meta, that much is true.
Mesmer, ele and warrior. are not seeing competitive play.
Previously it was just warrior and necro.
so no there are not more viable classes now.
I also know a lot of good Necro’s that agree its a little too strong, regardless that is up to debate.
if you bring the mentioned classes back into meta by reverting their previous nerfes, the necro problem would be solved, since teams could outsustain/clean through it with old ele heals or train the necro down with mesmer/warrior raw dmg where a necro cannot escape from.
well dont know why it important where is he from. If he is from mars and hes good player and practice hard, i dont see what the problem is
Final takes place in the U S A , that´s why.
After one year we still have no reward worth farming it in pvp. People are farming the most boring dungeon for weeks and month (cof) just for being rewarded with gold.
Would be very appealing for the big crowd to come to pvp, it´s obviously more fun than cof 10times per day and it would really help to push gw2 into the esports direction.

vote for 3 stacks, disconnects can happen once or twice, when you get third, fix your internet before you make other people lose their games and kitten their ratings.
I´d also like an option where i can decline a matchup due to unfair/unbalanced teams/comps, cause it sucks playing when you already know you cant win cause you dont have any class that can fight on a small node during the teamfight or go for rezzes etc, on some maps you just cant avoid teamfighting. Same with 5xhighrank palyers vs a team with a low rank palyers wich is almost 4v5
From my point of view leaderboards are tools to display skill level, but how on earth is the yolo q leaderboard supposed to be one?
Can anyone explain to me, why we have this thing when matchups are consistently uneven teams?
Team comps are barely useful , many people play builds that don´t fit into meta or lack viability due to poor balancing, while being paired with a rank10 while everyone else is 40+ so it´s basicly a 4v5.
Even as a top player you have just littly influence at the outcome of the game since it´s based about teamplay, synergy and making right decisions. With downstates in this game, it´s almost impossible to win 1vX situations if you are not an engineer.

shout bunker guardian, spirit ranger, thief (evade s/d acrobatic or d/p trickery ), condi terror necro + X
usually x is a fast moving strong 1v1 class like engi, sometimes warrior which can decap farpoint due to mobility, win a possible 1v1 or disengage with mobility or stealth on engi
burst ele are amazing as well
amazing to blow everything you have just to see opponents do a rnd evade or rezz and then you are freekill since ele disengages and heals are overnerfed. Overall dmg is below average and so is the surviveability
i srsly need a possiblity to check ingame ping for playing competetive, it happens over and over again that i get hit by direct damage WHILE i am evading. For example i use Withdraw and after 5meters of rolling backwards i get hit by 4k autoattack from another thief , same with flanking strike, i died before my flanking strike landed to direct damage. Mechanically this is not possible, so i play it mechanicaly correct and get punished for it.
With the shift in the meta, having a Mesmer on your team flat out gimps you in competitive play. How can we fix this?
They just can´t compete with necro and evade thief, that´s all. The problem is not the mesmer tho.
seems like i am reacting too fast on knockdowns so they don´t break from stunbreakers and it´s really fun loosing this way. Would be nice if it´s possible to fix something like this after one year.
so i could possibly find out why my buttons start glowing when pressing them, but nothing happens and i die cause i couldn´t do anything for like a second. It´s aweful that i don´t know if it´s my pc or internet.
what is this, i stand infront of a downed person, try to spam clusterbomb but i automatically start stomping over and over again and interrupting this is not instant so i waste an aweful lot of time…
any solution?
looks like many underestimate thiefs and overestimate mesmers
fear is fine, but the fact it´s instant sucks. I like the downstate fear WITH animation , so you have a realistic chance to avoid it.

ele bunker is a joke… surviveability/utility sucks compared to other bunkers and as damage dealer you have to pick dmg utilities cause ele lacks dmg on weapons then it´s viable with s/d
I don´t recommend running melee when range classes like engi win in melee combat against dedicated melees…
can´t even stunbreak knockbacks…
i never used that skill cause you basically cc yourself with water nr2
this trait does NOT increase my dmg by 10% , i testet with steady weapon scepter while using Lightning Strike.

both noncrits ofc

necro should be an attrition class, but currently they fill the role of a condi warrior, you basicaly have to kill things fast and you can only survive by doing a lot of counter pressure.
You should really reduce necros offense and buff their sustain (life leech/shroud)
