Wow i’ve been gone 2 days, and things have gotten really hostile, lets just focus on the game if we can, i just wanna have fun, keep it classy everyone, i don’t like it when we lose our cool, (even our guys). Play to win, not to boast, the scores says it all already, just enjoy all servers, i hate fighting on forums, lets keep the fights out there, and if u really must, go ahead and dance on other peoples corpse, as if it happens to me, ill just laugh and do it right back at you guys.

It’s funny because there was a group of baltimore style guys (around 2-4) who were going around killing our dolyaks and supply camps, and when i ran across them, they killed me within 10seconds, probably like 5. I was not mad, i knew i’d be dead, considering glass cannon thieves already hit hard enough, not to mention the fact that there was 2 of them. Props to those 2 baltimore style players in Kaineg BL.

I mean Ktith i know your a decent guy from reading forum posts so i see you would have no reason to lie, so i’m going to assume what you saw could’ve been hack, but i’m also going to say alot of the examples could be replicated using the warrior skills, like the downed state banner skill, I’m sure the kill shot skill was probably just from a glass cannon warrior, with full buffs and alot of stacks of might, n crit you doing 12kdmg. It’s something i don’t know too much about yet, so you would have to research into the warrior thread to see if any1 can reproduce this result. And truly sorry for the actions of those who did hack if there were any. Lets keep it clean guys.

it still doesn’t explain the instant revives that ktith was talking about, but do you think it was the warrior banner elite? cause its a good chance the warrior dropped his elite banner to instant revive people that were downed, or stealth thief revive?

Is that the warrior rifle skill? cause i don’t know much about it, but i read a thread about a glitch skill where it’s possible to do upwards of 25kdmg to everyone in a line of sight, i won’t say how as some people here might replicate the glitch which the developers did say its a bug, but not a big issue atm cause they have bigger problems and would make an immediate fix if people started using this? clearly a favor towards warrior classes more.

o sorry didnt see post up above since i was reading everything else, do you have guild names/pics of any kind of your logs or players? is it possible glass cannon thieves? But also one wierd thing that happened to me yesterday was, i was lagging and just suddenly droped dead in the hill keep. I’m asking my party to revive me and they keep walking past me, finally they say i fell off the cliff when my body is still up in the keep.(wtf?) And after they res me, guess what? i’m res up top of the keep and not where my party res me. I can see this as a potential way to capture keeps ninja style, but its also hard to replicate this, as this was an accident of lag.

I’m not really sure where you are getting the hack accusation from ktith, and as i have a lot of respect for you and your guild. please elaborate, because our server as a whole don’t really want hackers, nor does any server.

LMAO, good job guys, glad you guys are having fun, cuz it looks like sooo much fun. sad i missed it. First the use of overgrown grubs, now use of flame rams as weapons, this is the advancement of technology!!!

Also i personally had alot of fun, finding the commanders through the zerg of [KIWI] and marking him, so my party would kill him numerous times, in hopes of scratching the morale of the zerg so we could capture that tower by your spawn in kaineg BL. If you remember me, i was that mesmer that downed and finished you 3x before we capped the tower and moved on. It was an epic dogfight there.

A lot of respect to you emboric, I hope your server comes together as a whole and rebuilds, because the fight would only get more better. GJ to all servers, you guys put up some good fights in Kaineg BL and DR BL.

lol, can’t wait for thanksgiving content. wonder how that’s going to shake things up again, and then right after that christmas.

I think i will submit a ticket, because it was such short notice that i thought it could just be a bug, but if there’s something that i missed personally, and i won’t be able to get it anymore that would really be frustrating.

OO i didn’t know you left Dragonbrand as well Xiir. Funny because i left dragonbrand for the same reason, but i just happened to stick around longer than you because of hope that the server would change, but finally after week 5 or 6 of official wv3, they just ticked me off by giving up on DAY 2!!!!

any developers on this? because if it was something i missed i won’t be able to get it anymore, but it looks like i got everything, and i really hope i can get all the achievements, and any rewards for finishing all the achievements via mail or whatever.

Also i really wished that you were able to play with friends/guildys, but if this was to be a feature, you would have to disable rewards (at least for lunatic inquesition) for people would purposely find a way to exploit this, but it would be fun being in teamspeak with someone while yelling “i’m behind you!!!” or die!!!

Maybe even make it possible for guilds to host these events for their guild to do, and the rewards could be something the event hoster(usually a guild master/officer) would put out, where it could be money/items/minis/etc.

I really really enjoyed the lunatic inquesition mini game, as i played it for about 10hours straight. But there were some things that i just thought needed some tweaks. There were certain parts of the maps that could be exploited into, and i’m sure it wasn’t intended as you are standing on top of the walls which can only be entered through the same path. (which i’m sure you guys are already aware of). I also really hated how people would jump off cliffs and get respawned if they saw a ghost coming, kind of makes it really hard to get them, but i also understand sometimes its accidental, so maybe incorporate a feature where if player is in combat when he falls off cliff he becomes ghost. (this should also include fearing people off cliffs, because they should know the risks). The ghosts are a little too strong, as they can throw out 5 commands back to back, making it impossible for a villager to get away, because once you’re commanded theres nothing you can do. You can’t pick up items/stealth/ or anything, and if you even live past the first command, you would just be tossed another command, making this an almost guaranteed death. So possibly incorporate a Cooldown on all commands after the first command is said, like 20sec cd on all commands for activating one command successfully.

The rewards i thought were fine , it’s just the quantity of them.(maybe a percentage for getting the rare items skins/event items if you survive but of course this could cause be a problem if there are alot of errors and bugs in the game as people would exploit this for money) Maybe even Black lion keys/black lion items, on chance. I think it should be more time based rewards. If i survive the whole entire 12mins, i only get 5 ToT bags, which is nothing, compared to if the ghost kills everyone and we all get 3. Those who survive should get 8-10 ToT (if more than 1villager left), and 15 if last man and survives. But also i know its not about the rewards as i had a blast, but i would leave games that had people who would exploit the game, (really really wished there was a feature to report hackers/exploiters as i feel they were destroying a great game.)

All and all i really enjoyed this minigame, and would hope for it’s return as its a nice breather from pve/wv3. I hope all the bugs and map exploits are fixed in the future, whcih would make this quite fun for me.

See darwinism? the leadership of your commanders are poor in how they behave in forums, they purposely try to offend. sigh wish you could lead them by your example, as I know not all players in your guild are like that, majority of them are great players no doubt, but from leadership perspective, i have yet to see someone who is humble.

I’m tired of all arguing about this, so i’ll leave it at that, but I hope you see what i mean.

Though this post might anger somebody from my guild,(maybe, or maybe not). Respect well earned and well said Darwinism. I as a member of WAR was deeply offended when accusation was thrown at my commanders who i would follow in the line of fire and die for, and I do acknowledge that Sirenic did apologize. Like you said, if our commanders weren’t worthy of leading we wouldn’t be following them, so i hope for future understanding and problems not be handled with accusations of hacking. I hope things settle down and we can just get back to the good fight, I don’t honestly care if we lose or win, i won’t gloat about our victory or loss, as i only care about good fights. First you say you have lost all respect for the guild KAIN, and now you’re saying respect? I wish you wouldn’t keep changing your mind. First you call us out saying Hack, figure out the trick, didn’t realize sorry kaineg that you guys used superior tactics. Its funny how you guys are the first to throw the lie, and when you uncover the truth you try to make yourself not look bad. Still have zero respect for you leadership. First off i’m going to start of with it as I don’t like the leadership in PRO. First when you arrive in DR, many people thought it was ok, but some voiced out their opinions and you guys denied them their advice saying alot of nonsense, making them feel like you’re so much better. You’re arrival in DR was for the servers good i’ll give you that, but as for the community itself, I can’t personally say, i have heard from a good friend of mine on DR saying he personally does not like how your commanders act in Wv3. Reason i know him was i fought him in a 1v1 once during wv3, and i whispered him, saying congrats it was a hard fight, and we continued to 1v1 each other without finishing and only downing one another throughout the week. First week you guys arrive and win, calling out our whole ENTIRE server like is this it? First off most of our players were doing PVE that week. So this week we show up in force, coordinate and focus you guys down hard DURING primetime. Whats the response for this? OMG Kain wat happened how much xfers you guys get. like cmon man, give it a rest. @ Dred, i have utterly nothing to say to you except your statement is a load of bull. you are telling EVERYONE in this forum saying you wanted a 24/7 coverage. ROFLMAO, you CAME TO KAINEG. you guys have made yourself look bad, this is all from 2weeks worth of your forum trash talking. And knowing as you guys like to spam people mail with trash mail, im sure to receive alot of letters, please do, I sure miss those gold sellers that mail me all the time, cause they have been coming to me less, and would like some company in my mailbox.

quite funny but just earlier today, i was in LA waiting for my guild group to get ready to go to MK, and i saw a guy spamming LA for a dps 80 toon. LOL he was searching for over 10mins, and spamming alot more towards the end. I don’t know if it was cuz nobody wanted to run with him, or if it was cause he was coming off in a bad way. but it gave me a laugh after i read this post earlier this morning.

I’m sorry as i can’t help but laugh at the situation, it’s most likely a lag error on either ends, unless he was able to see everything (including all enemys/npc/friendlys) fluidly I don’t think he should be making such claims, and even if that was the case, its sometimes just render issues as we all know about by now i’m sure. and i’m sure it was him because if you were being chased down by a zerg that you say you were, then its most likely him laggin a split second.

Hey all servers, lets keep it classy, It’s about having fun, let try to not argue. If winning is all that matters, maybe you guys are in the wrong tier servers. If you leave it would be sad as I would miss out on better battles, but stay on topic, no need to be one of those OP that’s gets closed down talking about hacks and what not. And if you feel you must really discuss it, please move over to a different OP, so you guys can discuss to your heart’s content.

I don’t know if this makes me a bad guy or what, but I usually don’t care much for who i party with,(unless they are all level 2) but there’s times when i just need to grind out super fast. For example i needed to grind out MK before the reset the other day, but i only had like 1hour left before reset. I wanted to hit the lowest limit of the dimish return reward from the king before it reset. i wasn’t looking for 80’s, i was looking for 60’s+ as i was in a rush. Now i always help people out on dungeon runs if they ask me, especially if I just got done with AC em, and my party split with me having nothing to do. I’ll see people sitting there looking for SM, as they are all new to the game, so i lend a helpful hand and help them out, and funny thing is i’m on Kaineg(one of the lowest population US servers). When i first came here, do you know how long it took for me to even find a party for AC em? average of 1-2hours to get a group so i definitely know what those lower level players feel like. Curious question, would it make me a bad guy to say i’m looking for speed runs?

also if you remember your first time fighting ralena and vassar, it can be a pain, i already know we’ll probably all wipe out the first time most likely, but i still put on a happy face and attitude as i know the group will understand it for sure the second time through, I have never yelled at anyone new to the game, because i enjoy helping players out, i am one of those people who would run out in wv3 and res some1 even if it meant i would die in the process, is it dumb? yes. did the other person live? most likely depending if he ran. do i die? yes. but i dont really care, i’ve got money for repair. a couple of silver isn’t gonna stop me from reviving someone, because by some chance i would like someone to do it for me as well.

I personally don’t want people to know how much HP the enemys has because for one, i hate thieves. Wat does that have to do with anything? well it determines if a thief will know if he can one shot you or not, regardless that he will do it anyways, but having the statistical number out there will make it so much easier for him to determine, because he will be saying, yeah i can hit people for about 20kdmg average, so this character has 18k HP, oooo free kill. I personally just rolled a vitality/toughness/power build on my mesmer to counter thieves that do this very thing, even if i can’t kill them. (as they will stealth away if i am winning), it increases my survivability as not many people build mesmers this way. I am not saying I’m pro or anything, but giving out the stats to other enemies wouldn’t work towards my favor, and this is just my output of things.

forget blue prints, because if your in a zerg of 50+ with 10mesmer, gate is paper.

Quite sad i missed the take over at SM, I was there during the siege but dc out, and EB had a que, which made me quite sad, forcing me to do MK event all day. GJ though to both servers though for defense/offense.

Sorry if i offended you did not mean to generalize the server as a whole if that’s how you took it, as that topic was not my main point of the post, (main post being about a good battle, and that i had a really fun moment in the keep. I don’t really agree with Mighteous’ post but i can’t help but laugh reading them. Just ignore it if it bothers you, but i just kind of hate to see people bash on him, (though i do agree he somewhat deserves it). Keep up the good fight both servers, It’ll be a close match.

yesterday around 1am or so during the siege when DR took back the bay from their own borderland, I as a mesmer was running around wasting the supplies out, the inner gate was getting hit way too hard for my to even possible repair at a reasonable rate, so i head to the other gate, i see 2 devonas about to come in, they back off, so i just repair the gate and shut it on them(LOL). and hence went on with wasting about 100ish supply in the camp, then went to hide, waiting for our main forces in Kaineg to have a group of 5man, come help retake the bay.

Now i’m not bashing devona’s server, i’m just saying if those 2 had rushed me at that spot i wouldve been dead and that keep would not have been lost in like 5mins, because i have a mantra dmg build, and had NONE of my mantras equiped on, i had blink, portal, and something else. well and my healing mantra, but its so awful n useless as it only heals around 1.5k per heal.

it was even more funnier because you guys did not move orb back to your garrison. but all and all good fight DR, especially at the bay, you guys were nailling down on our gate really hard, had to rally up some players to go flank you which took a while cause our forces were split, but good job stopping us from taking your garrison 2×. Hope to see more of these epic fights.

lol at response, 7-10 ToT bags, for possible a 50-50% chance of completing the puzzle if you’re pro, to decrease it would be super funny i think. Wish they would make it drop something better, at least a chance of something better.

I honestly understand your guys frustrations at this puzzle, because it took me around 2-3hours to finish. But i don’t agree with soloable instances because some people would just stay in their soloable instance and hack to get all 3 chest all the time(around 15-25ish ToT bags). i enjoy watching others fail/succeed. i congradulate others who do succeed, while i help give tips and pointers to those who can’t.

Also i would not like to spend any holiday event alone, whether IRL or games. Granted there are people who want to be alone on holidays but my personal opinion is that they wanted to be alone and didn’t really even want to celebrate the holiday.

Just me personally, i loved being able to see others on my map, it might be because i mastered the kitten thing and nearly lead everyone all the time but, its still fun to watch people overtake you, lead you, fall off. I honestly would not have had as much fun if i made it to the end alone all the time. In fact everytime someone made it to the end, i would congratulate them. There were a couple parts when i played my asura where i had a bigger norn/charr group, but it didn’t bother me too much even when they were leading, but maybe cause thats just cause i remember everything now.

idk, arachnophobia was dropping from the chest in the labrinth, and i heard people saying its possible. But i’ve ceased the farming, i’ve completed it over 40x now, and the only thing i’ve gotten is ToT bags, so, if some1 who has gotten it, please post saying yes so i can restart the farm, i don’t wanna be wasting my time on it.

First off maybe theres a reason kaineg is attacking your borderland instead of DR. IDK but theory is maybe we’re only down a a couple thousand points and could overtake second place? there’s no logic in attacking DR to anger them into attacking us so we lose. I speak for myself only, not of my server/guild. also theres no reason to be mad about the attack (i was not there so im assuming everything u said was true) when FC and DR both attacked us at the same time in eb instead of one server going to attack the other when we were behind made no sense either. we enjoy having fun. and also many people in the guild actually told me they don’t wanna get bumped up to the next tier yet, because we’re simply just not equiped to deal with that kind of population, but if it does happen it doesn’t mean we’ll give up, our egos won’t be hurt, at least shouldn’t be because Kaineg will keep on fighting the good fight. Also they ranking system has us with 400pt down in rankings, with us at around 600-700(havent really checked in a week so not sure) while last time i checked u guys were at 1000ish, so for us to be able to leap past you guys in FC we would have to tremendously overtake the scoreboard, by 100,000’s of points.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this is going to come off as it most likely. I only speak for myself and nobody in my guild/server, but kaineg as a whole we’re prideful of our server, do we have flaws? yes, but we don’t rage to others servers, almost every who came to kaineg had a reason, what’s yours? To start off mines, I was on a server who was doing great and at tier 2, during week 2, but we kept falling and falling, and the game became less fun as ques was bad and people only wanted to say it’s your fault. By week 4 we lost about 1000-2000players from about 6-7different guilds, and guess what? they defected to the team we were matched up against next, which had a good oceanic pressence but not so much primetime. but it wasn’t this that made me leave, it was the server giving up the match on day2 that just angered me, then i did some research and i found kaineg, it’s everything i would want. Most people in kaineg would rather lose and have fun, then win with none or else they wouldn’t be on a server with a record of 1/6 wins.

I find that you posting a OP with the title wvw report is really insulting to Fubuki, who is probably very famous and known throughout kaineg whether he wants to be or not. I’m not going to be biased because he’s in my guild, but he leads by example, not saying he’s a commander and we follow him, but he’s an outstanding wv3 player who spends 90% of his time making kaineg better so for you to have an OP.

You can’t make judgement of one whole entire server from one day, especially during special events, I don’t know for sure but i can say that most of my guild was not in wv3 during monday thru wednesday because we were out in pve for a variety of reason. I understand you’re trying to give advice, but it’s really disrepectful to come in for one day and say all this about the server when you’re new here, and kaineg is not new to wvw, but were getting better all the time.

Another thing, and I might be out of line and i truly can not speak on behalf of the devona’s but if i was them i wouldn’t be welcoming you with open arms. I don’t have much love for those who abandon their servers to join the winning server in that bracket so they can’t boast about how they beat said server. I honestly believe that the majority of the players in our low bracket match ups have a great deal of respect for each other, some hates us for oceanic pressence from what i hear, but i’m not going to say they should leave, why should they? we’ve all gotten close in this community and we love it here.

there was nothing is your OP about you saying going BACK to HoD, it only says hey since you hate me, i’m packing and leaving for a tier 1 server (my understanding). But from what it seems, you chose a sinking boat like some1 said, HoD is not what it used to be, so if you expect to ride out the victory with them, i don’t think it will come so easily.

You have inspired and motivated many, and everytime i read your posts i feel like it’s the best speech ever written, like u should write for the president. I am currently in your guild and came here because of your kaineg reports, you truly inspire me. But even beyond that, i came to test out the wv3 in kaineg, and it was every bit of wat you said it was, great competitive even though we won’t win becuase our numbers can hardly fill up more than 2 battlegrounds, but Kaineg was not disheartened, moreso they were motivated, inspired to play a great game, even when the chances and odds would not be with them, because they are true gamers, they love to play, winning is second. I don’t want anything in this server to change, I dont want us to be top tier servers with egos, and blaming others for what happened, i just want to play, even if its on the losing team.

yes, i came here from a bigger tier server to kaineg (not gonna say which as to not offend them) but reason why is they give up too easy. O no were losing by a little bit, guess well just wait til next week to get the tier we want. O wait now all our guilds transfered over, well guess we have to wait another week. at this rate eventually it would be a ghost town, so i read up on servers and found out Kaineg is super competitive regardless of numbers, so i know itll be a great place to wv3. And i haven’t regreted it since, except for finding parties in dungeons are quite harder though.

You missed the main reason:

Zerging makes you practically immune to AE.

5 man group = 100% damage from AE
10 man group = 50% damage from AE
20 man group = 25% damage from AE
50 man group = 10% damage from AE
(effectively)

This is because AE can only hit 5 people. So if you’re in a group of 10 and someone does an AE on the group, you only stand about a 50% chance of being hit by it. This is why you see big coordinated guilds all clump up on doors. When there’s 30+ of them, they simply because immune to AE. 10 people can rain AE on the door, enough to instagib an individual, but with 30 people in a shifting clump, the damage gets highly diluted. Attacker 1 hits 5 people but doesn’t hit the other 25. Attacker 2 hits 5 other people but doesn’t hit the other 25. Etc. Nobody is going to get hit too hard, despite 10 people raining AE on them.

It’s just how the game is designed. The enemy of the zerg is AE damage and this game has severely restricted the AE, so the zerg is greatly empowered and can really only be beaten by another zerg.

If your talking about AoE’s then i disagree with you, for example, grenade kit from engineer will hit anything in its radius, more than 5, same with flamethrower kit. i havent played alot of other classes yet, so i couldnt say for other classes, but i would assume the thief caltrap works the same way.

I mean i understand it could be a bit overpowered in wv3 if there is like 4-5mesmers with Time warp giving quickness to 40+players to easily take down a gate in a minute, but because it only gives quickness to 5 players in wv3, its really just awful, n i would much rather use my asura racial elite (7series golem) for projectile reflects, and damage on a gate. hopefully anet bumps it up to 15players, which isn’t overpowered like no limit, but not weak like 5.
