Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
Ya, there is no confusion about times at all………
Get it together Anet, either publish a correct webpage with a list like you did when megaserver was 1st introduced or toss an API timer ingame.
I agree….none of us has ever made a mistake…..or thought to ask for a correction politely.
Ya, I personally don’t understand this. As another poster mentioned, dungeon tokens are probably more easy to come by than badges, yet you can salvage that stuff. Makes no sense. Even if we didn’t get materials, it should be absolutely allowed to salvage to get back any upgrades.
Have you ever been in a EotM Zerg? Dungeon tokens are NOT easier to get than Badges (tho, before EotM, they may have been about equal in difficulty to obtain).
Oh no, what will I do without my 2 silver!?
(Is it 2 silver actually? I’ve never payed attention because of how insignificant it is)
NEVER more than 3 silver to travel from one corner of the world to the other….
I think the point being made is NOT that you spend a different amount (that is usually less than 20 copper different one way or another), but that you DON’T end up where you expected to be.
I’m not sure how “MASSIVE” a change this is, but it will spur controversy (as do ANY changes).
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
Pretty sure Obtena is right….it’s a legal requirement that this be listed prior to the actual sale.
T6 blood is used to craft all Berserker Equipment…..thus the constant (and possibly increasing) demand.
I no longer salvage any Ecto possible items without a BL salvage kit. I saw the suggestion here and started using them (I have about a dozen in my bank from key farming) instead of Mystic Kits (I normally use) and have seen a dramatic increase in Ectos. Nothing I have seen in my salvaging indicates any kind of stealth-nerf if that is what you are implying.
Could just be RNG colored glasses I’m wearing…..
If you are interested in cooking, might want to spend a bit of karma and buy some bulk items while the Cliffs are still open (till July 1). Those karma vendors are all in one place right now but usually you have to travel all over Tyria to get some of those ingredients. Just a suggestion.
You can get Shards from Festival Tokens right now…..just saying.
I can understand a request to directly deposit funds, but materials and items should need to be “picked up” from the TP.
Now more convenient locations of TP agents is something I can get behind 100%.
I’m unclear as to the main complaint here, but is this another, “I can never catch up with other players AP numbers”? thread? If it is, then AP in this game generates it’s own rewards and is NOT a competition.
Those players that consider the AP number to mean something other than a number just have a general perception problem that nobody can fix.
Actual Pole-arm type weapons were NEVER thrown. Spears were a hybrid type that could be used as both, but were never exceptional in either roll (Javelin type or Halberd type).
You are raising hell about a fan update wiki that is not updated mere hours after an update…..get some patience, I’m sure it will get updated properly.
As far as UTC conversion, it’s pretty simple math.
Being OUTRAGED about this is rather silly. I don’t disagree some in-game tool to get the info would be nice, but this would be a new feature as it’s never been in the game before…..why is it such a big deal now?
Is Dulfy.net no longer valid: http://dulfy.net/2014/04/23/event-timer/ ?
Ok….game just updated, I get the issue.

Please read this page and then ask any specific questions you have and we will be happy to respond:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Traits
Total trait points are 14 (and each new Trait point is equivalent to 5 points form the previous system that had a total of 70 points). They simply divided everything by 5 to simplify it.

you just joined at the wrong time. you are going to have a horrible time lvling your new character with stagnant progressions and skills/utilities locked away behind events you literally cant do because of your level and making cash has just been made harder
if you joined 5 months ago you could have bought 1k gems crafted to lvl 65 in a day then had fun to lvl 80 with all your unlocked skills and abilities.
If you’ve never played the game before, unlocking the Traits just might be an enjoyable challenge…. If you look at it as a chore then it’s going to be one. All your other complaints are from the view of a speed rush leveler…..I hope a new player does not approach the game with this attitude.
My bad, I saw your mail but got tied up and never responded (slipped my mind). If you PMed me in game, sorry I did not respond, but I have a tendency to ignore the chat window if not actively playing with someone else.
I think I will be on tonight around 6PM Central US (unless something at work pops up and I have to stay late). At the least, I will respond to your mail.
Eh, I don’t think it is proper to judge people really. Some people play the game for fun just like people play basketball for fun. And yes, you can translate online stuff to real life stuff easily. Just know the proper people really. Anyways, not about that guy.
Just me trying to save up 6k gold :/
You are discussing vast amounts of gold most players have never seen and in the same paragraph are panhandling for “donations”. My immediate response to you would earn me an infraction or a ban so I will politely decline to assist you.
Good luck on your quest to be the richest beggar in town…..
BTW, you can level a new character in 80 much quicker than earning 6000 gold……you should reconsider a rollback. I also find your lack of ’concern" for “loosing” your stuff raises a red flag about this whole issue.

In the Crafting Forum…..and a good suggestion I may add.
……
Which starter instance is it? Someone can probably give you hints on how to do it fast.
Good point…my comment was for a key run / human tutorial point of view.
As I recall, Sylvari is rather quick and Asura is a bit longer (but fairly quick). For the life of me, I don’t remember the Norn & Charr ones (those are my oldest characters and these are generally considered poor choices for key running).

You can clear all the cities in about 3 hours (that’s about 10 levels and some decent rewards for starting players).
Best information available on this game (even if you are a Veteran).
This is a GREAT general combat guide as well: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/GW2-Combat-system-101-Guide/page/4#post3394799
Nope. You have to actually access the zone to see for sure. Even if there was a website that listed OPEN / CLOSED by IP address (the only way to identify specific server zones now), you cannot accurately select a specific IP (you can zone in and out until you randomly load into the correct IP, but that can take a while to pull off).
On the other hand, Temples are OPEN about 80% of the time in Orr Zones I have entered since Mega Server release. Good for accessing Karma Vendors, but not so good if looking for a decent source of Dragonite Ore.
I guess you are right….I guess I’ve heard of them changing the name / tag of a Guild name that was deemed inappropriate, but a character name change is usually made via a log in dialog.

Is it possible you are not causing enough damage to get credit for the kill? Are you by any chance set up for Condition Damage? The fact that you did not get the Grand Chest seems to indicate this (and it would make sense that unlocking the XIII Trait would likely be tied to getting credit for the kill as well).
Glad I could help.
Good luck in Tyria!
Personally, I don’t care what you “suggest”. I just showed you that this problem is not an Anet issue and yet you still want to argue the issue.
Take care and I hope you are able to resolve this problem with the network nodes (which Anet still has no control over, despite what you may believe).Stop being a fanboy. You’re obviously not wanted or needed in this thread. Move along.
Keep in mind that nobody at Anet is going to respond to this since (as abomally showed) this issue is NOT on Anet’s end). Your only hope of any help is if some other player WANTS to help you and with that attitude, good luck.
Being demanding, insulting and insisting you are in the right (when evidence shows you are not) is not going to solve your problem, but if it makes you happy, then you are welcome to continue.
Some one must of reported it. Nicki Heat was a fictional character of a fictional character.
You read it backwards, originally was Miss Nicki, now it’s Nick Heat.
The point stands….it’s the name of a fictional character (granted in a Fictional TV show), so CS could have decided it was against naming conventions if someone reported it.
They may not be autoclicking. If you set up your CLICK button to the mousewheel (temporarily), you can simply roll the mousewheel to Click…..one move of the mousewheel is ONE action…..not against the rules (and saves your mouse button and finger). This has been posted multiple places here and I’ve never seen Anet comment this was not kosher.
I’m not sure how they “script” a zone out and in looking for a specific IP (I’m guessing that’s what they are doing), so I have no comment on that issue. This also has a lot to do with your “choice” of how to play the game. Rewards are not the only reason to play.
Also, not sure why this an “account” issue….?
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
What were the dates on those emails?
Note that the links time out after some unknown time or when another authentication request goes thru. Every time you attempt to log in (or ANYONE attempts to log in with your user name / password) another authentication email / link combo will be generated (and that new one will invalidate any previously sent links).
It can take upwards of 10-15 minutes (in my experience) for the authentication emails to come thru, so be patient (if you continually attempt to log in, you will just generate more and more link emails that invalidate the previous ones).
If you see multiple emails from times when you KNOW you were not logging in, it’s a safe bet someone has your user name and password and is attempting access to your account. Respond accordingly (change GW2 password and possibly the associated email account).
All of the above is good reason to consider the mobile authentication (if you have a compatible smartphone).

Also, try unchecking the “remember” boxes in the log in and manually typing in the info when logging in. The fact that you are logging in here indicates your PW has not changed (so I don’t think a hack is involved).
Another option is to turn on mobile authentication (if you have a supported smartphone). This option is MUCH more secure and is much less of a pain than waiting for the authorization email.

I don’t recall anyone saying Rangers are “horrible”, but they tend to reinforce “horrible” game play tactics for a new player. If you are not learning how (and HOW important it is) to dodge from the start, survival in the later game will be much more difficult (and near impossible in Dungeons and PvP/WvW)…..and not just for the new player, but every player they are around.
It’s much easier to say “you’ll learn it”, than to actually unlearn bad habits and train yourself to try and avoid damage.
However you practice, one of the major things to remember in GW2 is that avoiding damage at the right time is key to survival. You should be practicing that ideal even when you don’t need to (so it’s 2nd nature). There is no tank and there is no continual healing (sans some regeneration), avoiding damage (especially HUGE damage) is the key to surviving.
I think Anet has a limit on how much you can spend on a CC over a certain period of time (to prevent huge losses on hacked accounts where CC info has been saved).
Post this over at the Accounts Forum and Gaile can possibly confirm this.
While the supply for these is limited, it is NOT controllable, so tyring to corner the market is futile (but a single stupid purchase by a mini collector could pay off).
Associating direct gold prices to the atual RL money cost of gems is the OPs mistake. Despite what he says, he IS correlating his argument to the gem to gold conversion rate (indirectly).
They should only consider what the OP requests if they change the RL money value of Gems (that have remained at $25USD / 2000 gems since release). They are NOT going to do that as long as gems are selling.
You you are correct I was off in my calculation, but I still think $220 to obtain a weapon skin is a little absurd.
Sorry, but what is absurd is the suggestion that gambling is equivalent to making a purchase of an item. You can argue that Anet is taking advantage of not too bright players, but they are NOT selling that skin for an average of $220.

Why fix something that isn’t actually broken?
Inflation is going to be present in any growing economy. It just needs to be monitored and not allowed to be out of control (and GW2s is NOT out of control). BTW, pointing to 2 related and unique markets in an economy (Precursors and Legendary Weapons) as examples to represent the entire economy is not valid.
Absolutely agree. This has been a broken issue in the crafting interface since day one.
Cooking should only be leveled if you’re going for a legendary that needs it or if you want the 7(?) character levels it gives going from 1-400.
Disagree. I generate plenty of useful consumables for myself and others. As a source of profit, it requires some detailed investigation on what to sell (often, the intermediate ingredients generate more profit than the end consumables).
While not a useful now, the Daily Feast achievement was a gimme with Chef crafting (it only pops up every 2 or 3 weeks now, not once week like it used to).
Don’t Orrian Jewelry Boxes drop these (and items you can sell for some gold as well)? If so, farm Karma in EotM.
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
If you play a number of different characters (obviously, NOT a new player), it’s an easy source of gear upgrade as you level (assuming your other higher level toons are gathering materials).
As mentioned above, Jewelry and Cooking are 2 crafts that do not have easy sources of their usable equipment while leveling (sans buying consumables and Trinkets from the Trading Post).
Some players enjoy crafting (me) and others despise it. In either case, you SHOULD gather materials as you play. If you want to craft, you have a stash of raw materials to use and if you chose not to craft, selling the raw materials on the Trading Post can give you some extra gold. Even if you do craft, you should clear out excess inventory of raw materials occasionally.
There are some (previously) PvP only armors that can currently not be obtained. The fact that the PvP, PvE and Wardrobe often call skins different things makes this kind of issue doubly confusing….
Oh, and I think you’ll need to eat almost 3/4 of a million +10 lucks to max it out
BTW Anet, that’s 1.5 million clicks my finger will have to do… my doctor thanks you for the paychecks he’ll be receiving from the surgery necessary to fix the carpal tunnel you’re giving me! Why again do I have to double click consumables??
Artificer, try it. Level 0
Even Exotic Lucks will take hundreds of thousands of clicks…..if you have that many to consume, change your E key to the mouse wheel temporarily.
You can get lucky sometimes and run to the end boss and get close enough as someone else is finishing the tutorial boss and get credit. I’ve actually gotten thru the tutorial in less than a minute (more like 30 sec if not trying to equip key-run gear) like that (but it’s a fluke chance…you can’t really plan it).
While the issues you are reporting are possible with hacks (so I’ve been told…never seen this myself), keep in mind that severe lagging can make other players “appear” to be moving abnormally. Not saying that’s what you are seeing, but just pointing out the possibility.
Have you tired exiting and re-entering the zone (the Cursed Shore portal is very nearby)? You should eventually load into a server that does not have the camp contested (to be honest, I’ve not seen the camp fully occupied since the MegaServer released except once).
You can easily run thru the occupied camp and jump out the back of the camp (down the cliff). I leave my toons back on that Cliff regularly and they are safe when the camp is being attacked (there are a few roamers down at the bottom of the Cliff, but they are easy to avoid or slay).
The source and values are good now, it’s just that the amount of Bloodstone Dust was WAY too high for months when Ascended was first released. Also, many more people do / did Champ farming early on so they generated more than the other Ascended materials.
Anet should have (and still should) alter the rewards so that each of the activities that give them give a smaller amount of ALL (or at least a random of 2) Ascended materials. They should also give us some better way (than the limited recipes available now) to dispose of Bloodstone Dust rather than destroying it.
Let me use it with skillpoints or some other limited resources to make SOMETHING useful in the Mystic Flusher…..
This is an indication you have some other program running that somehow has the H key hot keyed (and it is overriding the in-game use and that program function is crashing the game). solving that possible issue is going to require identifying and disabling that hot key or program (good luck).
Can you reference ANY actual Anet employee comments that make you think ANY game optimization is being planned at all? I’d seriously like to see WHY you believe this is a possibility.
Only players that MISTAKENLY think Ascended gear is REQUIRED think this game has GEAR GRIND. It does not.
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
Ok….I was a bit harsh, sorry (but your title struck me as a bit of boasting…..my bad if I took it wrong).
You seriously need to analyze this for yourself as the skins market is often low volume and cut-throat in terms of flippers and those that will try to take advantage of someone to make a few gold themselves. Just a word of warning (I personally have no knowledge of selling BL skins other than looking at some of the outrageous prices they can command).
EDIT: Didn’t think my first post it was THAT harsh, but ok.
