I joined TC EB queue at # 121. Got down to 21 in about an hour or so, guildies that had higher queue than me were getting in. Waited another 20 minutes or so & stayed at 21.

Try guesting to another server while doing guild missions. I honestly think Tarnished Coast PvE population is just too large for the soft caps causing the equivalent of overflows.
Why should I HAVE to guest to another server to keep with guildies? I chose the server Im on for a reason, not to get separated by this megaserver…
You should not have too. I was not saying that you should have too. I was offering a possible workaround to a problem. Plus I am curious and can’t test it myself as I am not effected by the problem. Nor do I have the resources to test it myself.

I like the idea of large worlds having their own shard in the already populated zones, then kick to the megaserver if a map doesnt meet the player count.

Fired up a guild bounty last night, found the target, had the guild come to the location.
It took almost the entire time of the bounty to get all our guild members in one server, thank goodness we dont need merits & was doing more for commendations.
A server selection would be nice, or at least try to place guildies together.
Its been removed. Not sure if its a bug or oversight. Nothing was mentioned in the patch notes about it.
Would be nice if it were tied in with the personal story section, if not replaced where it originally was.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the Megaserver tech currently only activated for Heart of the Mists?
Patch notes seems to suggest as such, with them planning on rolling it out to lower areas once they’ve collected enough data.

For the first one, unlike the previous LS, I don’t see why people can’t get out of the breachmaker, take care of the business, then pop back in since the 3 attunements stays there for a period of time. Or better yet, wait for the next attempt if your life truly demands your full attention.
I’m on call for half the month.
If it is an emergency, I’m not thinking “OMG I have to shut GW2 down so people dont think Im leeching!” I’m rushing out the door. Theres a timer that will log me out.
Would be nice to get a response, or at least some sort okittennowledgement. (acknowledgement fn sensor)

Is only the ascended version soulbound?
Still might be Guest Wars, Black Gate isnt the ONLY server defeating Marionette. TC is defeating Marionette consistently.

7 minutes on timer & I’m a late starter. I caught up to 3rd place at the jumps before the long bridge. Happy I still got activity achievement, but points towards title & a couple blues at the end would have been nice.
It was never said that balance changes would be in this patch. I believe it will be part of the QOL patch after this part of the living story ends. Aprilish?

I would try immediately after reset if possible. Usually there is at least one daily that involves the tower or the enemies that are only in the tower.
Tarnished Coast had overflow servers last night from reset till about 11 eastern fwiw.
Why the heck would players hoard their champ bags? Christmas? Karma I understand since guilds and what not wait until they fired up a big bonus and then open them but bags?
And that’s probably the same thought process that went through ANet’s mind.
Champ boxes have T7 mats in them, there are T7 mats that have not been released yet for ascended armor. They are hoarding them in hope that the champ boxes get upgraded to hold the unreleased T7 mats when ascended armor is released.
I just got daily top stats (with karma & glory awards) for completing mad kings tower with the most successful runs….and daily activiy credit.
No they don’t change the clock ingame. The reset time will go back to being 7pm Eastern.
Which I can’t wait for, personally. Getting to start dailies earlier is always a plus.

I havent discovered it yet. It doesnt show up when trying to discover because weaponsmith is missing from its description.
Shows on the wiki that all crafting disciplines can use this. When hovering over the item it doesnt show any of the weapon crafting disciplines. Has there been a change to this or is it a bug?

Ive came across this several times recently too. Its disapointing getting punished for doing an event.
I dont think there are any events along the champ train in frostgorge, the only one is the Quaggan.
I tend to lose targets quite frequently. Seems to happen most at the Golem event where for no reason the target gets dropped. Its not due to dodging or getting out of weapon range or clicking something else. I just lose the target.
Also with the clockwork invasions, when I lose my target on a champ, it usually switches to a friendly player. I am not clicking on a different target, dodging or out of weapon range. I also seems to have a hard time tabbing back to the original target, it seems to only want to tab between 3 different enemies & of course its never my original target.
Its hard enough to see the aetherblade targets (which one is champ/vetean etc.) in the invasion with everything being the same heigth, the clockwork & dredge champs are easy to see, but the aetherblades are all the same size. Its frustrating to have to search through a sea of red to find the champ, finally find it with half health left then lose the target, & not being able to click on it again & end up with a blue box. You would think you could tab back to last target but no, it just cycles between the same 3 random enemies.
Is the losing target bug being looked at? I know Im not the only person experiencing this.
Had never been to Southsun on my warrior, discovered 4 areas & received 0 XP while in Southsun Survival.
This also happens when entering a zone for the first time, you don’t get XP for discovering the zone or the first WP that activates.
W1 Z1 & Z2 no achievements. Done them 3 times each, cba to go back in there today…
I would think people would go back to champ farming.

We will be temporarily rolling back the karma change in a hotfix to allow people the opportunity to turn in their karma with any buffs they intended to use. This temporary rollback will be in effect until the game update on September 3.

Couldn’t agree more. With several achievements having several tiers, it would be nice to know what exactly has been acomplished. The diving goggles are a great example. Multiple dungeon paths would be another good example.
I know we can track them ourselves, if we know or think about it at the very beginning so tracking is accurate. People that may be part way through an achievement like goggles & not realize there was an achievement & are interested in completing it would probably have a hard time remembering which goggles they have used. Or someone who doesnt follow dungeons in order from story line, path 1, path 2 etc. if time goes by how are they expected to remember which paths they have done?
Im sure there are plenty more examples out there, the bottom line is, the achievements need better tracking.
This happened to me and a slew of others twice today. The first time was the event before Sparkfly, and the current one in Blazeridge. Its like an over flow for the over flow.
Or at least have to be in the basket to take a ride.
Load times have quadrupled, deleted dat & did repair as suggested above. No change what so ever, total waste of an hour+….
They are either going to play with the timing or the rewards wont be good enough for them to have to adjust it.

Instead of weekend bonuses the bonuses last for an entire week & I believe some of the bonuses have been doubled from what they were back in the day.
Some of the titles have been made easier to achieve as well, for example, the drinks are now spammable. You used to have to drink at specific intervals to get full credit for your various ales.
Just the 7 hero update made the game a walk in the park compared to the old days & that was before they made most of the titles to get easier before GW2 was released.
Dont get me wrong, there is still a lot to do, but in no way shape or form does it take longer than it used to.

Everybody can still get their 500 points. Dont really see what the big deal is. Servers are still up, 7 heroes can do just about everything there is to do. Bonus weekends have been changed to bonus week. Thats right! The entire week to grind away with the bonuses.
And not only that, they have doubled the bonuses from what they were in the old days.
Go get them points like everyone else did…in a much shorter time than we did.
Its not like you cant go & earn them like everyone else did.

When EOTN, HoM & GW2 were announced, ANet said HoM points going towards GW2 was apreciation for us long term fans playing/supporting GW1.
When originally announced, there was plans to stop counting the achievements towards GW2 once GW2 was released. Imagine all the whining if that plan woud have stayed intact…
And what are you really losing out on? 1 gold, 1 laurel & a random box with none of the items giving a distinct advantage.

Actually he’s spot on.
I worked on my slayer title over the weekend. I did skales, harpies & shelled creatures. Each had about 400 to complete. The first 300ish drops from each class were decent, drop rate for coffers was about 10%. With about 100 on each one left, I was just getting white trophies & coffer rate seemed to drop to 5%.
I believe it was area based, when I would do the holo’s the rate at which coffers dropped were right on par with the regular baddies. I’d start a new class of baddie & drops would be “normal” and coffers were plentiful but they slowly dwindled away over time due to DR.
I dont get starting at dawn, lets wake up early & watch fireworks before I go slay some beasts…
I think its odd that the Short Bow requires the last hit but Staff, GS, Pistols & Hammer do not.
Unless I got extremely lucky with Staff, GS, Pistols & Hammer to land the last hit way more frequently than a SB. Its taking SB soooo much longer, something must have changed.
After a weekend of farming southsun, it has started tracking again…kind of…I now have 3168 kills with a shortbow…
Skill description says 4 second recharge. It’s actually 6.
After mine is disarmed, the skill blinks twice (2 seconds) then clocks for 4 seconds.
Noticed the other day I hadn’t completed the shortbow kills achievement. I have been stuck on 3140 kills.
I know I should have maxed this quite some time ago, as I’ve been using my thief with a short bow for farming for a good 5 months now. I maxed staff & great sword rather quickly.
