I run a hammer build (hammer/sword/whorn) and if I fight a guy who knows how to use stun breaks/stability then i’ll lose … simple as that.
hammer very good in zergs but terrible roaming :-(

The builds look great, sadly everyone always assumes that we have ascended rings/accessories ….

Note – most will be using Exotic but will build to Ascended in the future :-)

I use …
0/10/300/30 build
PVT armour + divinity runes
Berzerker weapons (Hammer+sword/whorn)
Cavalier trinkets with Ruby Jewels…

I feel this gives me a good balance of power/crit damage and crit chance (21%) which you add to the 50% crit chance on stun bonus and 20% signet of rage means I also crit a lot and can also take a beating :-)

Ok, i’ll never do the damage of a GS warrior but it is a fun build :-)

It states ’ 10 sec Might on weapon swap’
But I swat weapons and get no might?

A few things with this post…

1, Why on earth should ANYONE brag about owning a Legendary as if it makes them somehow better than you? The amount of Legendary owners I have killed !! Does that make me better than them? Should I have bowed down to them because they farmed/bought a Legendary?

2, Does this ‘Pro’ Thief have a job/Life? If he is ‘Pro’ then who pays him??
I thought only the gold farmers were ‘Pro’ gamers in GW2

Is this possible? I mean mainly for PvE/Fractals etc…?

I just hate having to stick to 1 build because to change would mean replacing ALL my Ascended items :-(

I find it hugely annoying that ascended items are soulbound… I have a hammer warrior, grew bored so decided to turn him into a full Zerk warrior… sadly the PVT ascended trinkets I cannot use on my New Ranger character… so they are sat in the bank gathering dust :-(

There needs to be a less time-consuming way to get Ascended or make them account-bound otherwise it means you are stuck in 1 build for the whole game.

Almost every youtube video I have seen from other classes it seems the Necro (both power and cond) are basically free kills. Are we really that bad in WvW?

I though it would be bad players but with so many (some on the ranger forum specifically target Necro’s for an easy kill – Their words, not mine-)

The latest and greatest fotm condi roamer build would be this:

‘’- 30/20///20
– Spiteful Spirit, Chill of Death, Dhuumfire, Weakening Shroud, Terror, Path of Midnight, Master of Terror.
– Scepter/Dagger – Staff
– rabid/carrion gear mix.
– Sigils: 2xGeomancy (or Hydromancy), 1x Bursting.
– Runes: 5xPerplexity, 1x Cest of the Rabid.’’

So this build does not reach the 100% condition duration cap and misses out on lingering curse… but I guess you have to give-and-take :-)

Thanks but wouldn’t 30/30/ X/X/X make more sense as you get lingering curse.
Also, why 20 in soul reaping? unless for the crit chance? (but then with Rabid armour my crit will be low)

I’m coming from 6 months ago before dumbfire was introduced and some of the traits got re-aligned, and to be honest… i’m a bit lost. :-(

I See Nemesises’ Cond guide, and while his guides are always amazing, this would have problems (I guess) in WvW where applying conditions needs to be as quick as possible.

So, I guess i’m looking for a great wvw cond necro build (I realise there is no perfect build and even the best build will fail to a bad player).
I’m thinking Rabid armour+Trinkets (no ascended yet) with 30, 20, 0, 0 ,10 for traits? and full NIGHTMARE runes? or am I way off?

I mainly WvW, have my Rabid armour sorted and just waiting for the WVW build from Nemesis :-)

I’m trying out a sceptre/dagger+staff Conditionmancer and a bit lost on the rotation to use to apply conditions fast on a single target (mainly in wvw)
I was thinking – all staff marks then sceptre 1,3 mark of blood ?

Well, I decided to run a Powermancer build, and although the damage is very good, seems it is outclassed by warriors without the survivability – so anyone targets you, you go down :-(

Maybe condmancer would be best for me…

Where is the best place to acquire these? I need 250 of these and don’t have the 85g to pay for them…

So I’ll have to farm for them but no idea where to start?

I’m 80 on my Necro but undecided whether to go Power or Cond…

So, any fellow necros who wvw could advise me? (I like both small group and zerg roaming)

What the hell is with the lag?
Never had it this bad… 5-10 seconds for a skill to fire (both in pve and wvw), seriously you need to sort this out if you want the trial players to become full players.

Is this a secret new mini-game? Farming champs?

Seems on my server in Frostgorge you have to hit the Champ as fast as you can and run-loot with speed boost to the next champ (rinse and repeat)

Spend to long looting OR not enough speed/get chilled or receive mob agro which slows you down and you’ll miss out on the chance to damage the next champ (will be dead before you get there) so you’ll miss out.

I fear for WvW … Already there is a difference between those with full ascended items and those with lowly exotics and now the gulf will get even wider…

I know WvW is about more than stats but someone in full ascended gear vs someone in exotics would be a huge mismatch (if ascended armour follows the same stat boost as the trinkets)

basically WvW ascended gear or stay in pve :-(

Hi, I have a hammer warrior, currently using Sharpening stones for the power but unsure what food to have?

As I have low base Crit chance (I know I get 50% bonus against stunned opponents with trait) maybe food to increase Precision ?

Or maybe food to reduce conditions/cripple duration?

What’s the deal with Adrenaline? Especially in WvWvW?
I spend time hunting down pve critters just to build it up, then it lasts such a short time before it goes down again! Usually just when I need it :-(

imho it needs to last longer

I think there should be a NPC where you can exchange one type of token for another (maybe 2 for 1)

eg … Exchange 100 fractal relics for 50 dungeon tokens

Hi, new to the warrior and just asking what you fellow warriors to keep your adrenaline full?

I wvw a lot and the number of times I have ran into battle only to realise my once-full adrenaline is now empty… and as a hammer warrior, adrenaline is critical to my build.

Is it just to attack the PvE critters there constantly to keep your adrenaline full?

I have both a Necro and Hammer warrior and am continually frustrated with the cursor going invisible when you need to aim it where you want your targets/wells to go.

Am I resigned to using the slower ‘non auto’ targeting feature – where I have to manually target the ground with the green target area icon?

I see a few people wearing what looks to be dragon-themed helmets and back pieces… are they still able to be acquired?

I was looking forward to my first Piece of ascended gear but when I got to the vendor sadly there was nothing there for me :-(

89 Power, 90 Toughness, 15 Prec, 8% crit damage…

No ascended piece has these stats which is disheartening to say the least :-(

For WvW depends what you want to do?
For roaming alone or in small groups – go Thief or Ranger (both excel at roaming, check out some youtube videos ‘WvW gw2 thief’)
For large groups – go Guardian… Hard to kill and hit like a brick !

But it is also all down to the player… A good thief in WvW will be an amazing stealth Assassin, but a bad thief will be little more than cannon fodder.

Go to the Queens Jubilee tent… then follow the crowds around killing the boss events gaining great Karma and loot.

Sell loot to buy Exotic Armour/weapons -or- use the Karma to buy Exotic armour from the Orr temples :-)

I am doing the ‘Defeat the champ’ and I have 4/5 but have no idea which ones I have fought and which one I am missing :-(

Over 15 times I have tried to beat this guy on my power Necro ( the Guardian guy in the invulnerable bubble) but no joy :-(

It says to remove the bubble, use ‘Grasping darkness’? WTH is that?

I read that Balthazar was ‘Impossible’ ! But I have just come from Gandara EU where the awesome TAC guild not only took back the temple but did it with relative ease.
