Please stop the relentless moaning about Thieves!!! Countless posts about the crit damage builds and stealth builds, now you want to nerf the DB/cond damage build…

Please my fellow Gandarians… stop chasing after single perma stealth thieves!!! I logged in earlier on the PS borderlands and saw no fewer than 9 Gandara players stood around trying to fight a single Thief who stealthed-hit-stealthed-hit. None of them could lock onto him as as soon as he apeared he then hit and re dissapeared (maybe using black powder?) while these 9 players just stood around like lemmings.
These 9 were needed to help the break out event but i guess chasing a single thief was more important!

Sadly, reporting does not seem to do anything :-(

There are a large number of bots on Gandhara farming the Reef Skelks Southsun Cove 24/7 – Reported them every day for over 7 weeks and every day when i log on they are still there.

Sadly, due to the ‘Mysterious’ change in loot drop rates, most people feel it is pointless to farm/pve in open world. Fractals is where you will find people now, sadly …

After a brief thought, i totally agree with AcidicVision ….
Choose a Warrior as the Thief will get hit hard with the nerf bat in jan/feb patch making it useless.

Well, 20g so need another 80g for the human t3 ….
i do wish Karma had more uses, especially for purchasing different armour skins

‘show us HARD evidence’

This can be arranged…. a tour of most of the 80 sites/mobs then check the amount of junk we get compared to decent loot…
(do this several times for good measure then compare)

Warriors are great but sadly some silly people try 100 blades in wvwvw then wonder why they die!!
Make a thief and bathe in Warrior tears :-)

In wvwvw i see loads of Rangers and Elies and even a fair amount of Necro’s …

My usual hunting grounds (Frostgorge Trolls/Southsun Reef Skelks/Risen) and over the last few days i seem to be getting more and more porus bones/junk and hardly any high lev mats to sell,making it harder and harder to get gold :-(. Why is it so hard to get mats/gold in the open world? (over 100 mf)
I avoid Fractals after more than a few run-ins with bad pug’s (and even at lev 6 they got repetitive)

Any advice where to hunt?

I see the Cherry Blossom tree colour and wondered if there is a dye in the game which matches it?
It is a white/pink hued colour… would suit my in-game character

99% of bots are rangers and you see nothing wrong with that? Seriously?

Southsun shore on Gandhara is Bot Heaven – Monsters agro the pets not the rangers, allowing them to kill at their leisure then move on to next monster.
Maybe the Monsters could bypass the pets? Just an idea but seen far far more bots than i have seen before, even the ones i have reported constantly every day for the past 5 weeks are still there 24/7
Why are reported bots never delt with? Why isnt there an employee in-game going around and checking on the reports?

I am currently playing a Thief (condition build) and fancied a change and the Necromancer looks a fun build.

Err.. run faster? you mean using signet of shadows (which i never use in wvwvw or pvp) or the bow 5 trick – which is dependent on initiative? other than that every other class can move faster…

Good advice, sadly Fractals seems to be full of the worst type of players that are found in all mmo’s . If you do not know how to do each fractal exctly how it should be done for the fastest completion (mob skipping), or you ‘die’, or ask a question about what to do – you’ll be opening yourself upto a childish torrent of ‘omgnoob/ltp’ from the so called experts.

If you run fractals, make sure it is with a group of friends/guild not a pug!

I didn’t mind the bots at first, but now i’m saving up for the t3 armour the price of anything farmed is spiraling down :-(

I think i’ll stick to low lev Fractals for my monthly… then we can all be newbs together :-)

Yeah, i admit i was a little harsh.. and have met some great people in the game who have both helped me and been helped by me …
Just a shame that a few bad apples …

Well, i do agree he should know his class, but it was the 1st time in the dredge level of fractals… (i had only done it once myself) .. but the others had done it before seems many times and knew what to do but gave no explanation of what to do .. so he followed someone he shouldn’t and got abuse for it…
And as for Arah, he did not know what to expect (avoided the other dungeons as not key to story) so was his first dungeon …

Ps .. I think the problem with fractals is that with so diverse areas you can get upto lev 3-4 and still not see all the different ones… so when you get to a new one and no idea what to do or where to go you get the jerks calling you ‘noob’ and ‘ltp’ etc …

Maybe best to play with fun gamers not wannabe ‘leet’ players hehe

Twice today i have been in parties where abuse was thrown at various people for little or no reason… Seems to be getting more like a certain other game with terrible community :-(

1, Lev 2 Frac .. was in a party and hit the Dredge fractal … and this guy didn’t know what to do .. so several of the group called him a noob and started throwing abuse at him .. i did not understand this kind of mentality :-(

2 Arah story mode … this guy asked for help doing his story mode so i and 3 others helped … all through the instannce they called him noob for dying and not knowing what to do… so i told him best leave and him and me made a party and finished the instance together…

What is it with peoples attitudes? Maybe lacking something in real life?

If more Assasin/stealthy looking armours were available in the Gem shop, i would buy without hesitation!
All i have now that suit my Thief are Duelist or T3 – the rest are Trenchcoats :-(

Countless times my friends and i have reported them but 2 weeks later they are still there farming 24/7
Favourite locations are Frostgorge (collossus/corrupted quagan and Southsun Shore Reef Skelk area (both above and below water)

I’m on Gandhara and after reporting bottong over 3 days ago the same botters are still there… (the 3 main AREAS i have seen) …

FROSTGORGE SOUND
Ice Floe Waypoint – (Several botters running around killing Collossuses)
Yak’s Bend Waypoint – North towards the Ice troll area… Killing ice trolls

SOUTHSHORE COVE
Pearl Islet – (Just north on the Waypoint on the Shore on land and SEA)

As stated, the botters are there 24/7 even after i have constant;y reported them!

Sadly Anet has severely nerfed all the loot mobs drop forcing people to hunt in a few certain areas :-(

Try Frostgorge sound (Ice Troll area and Icebrood Collossuses) or pen/shelter in Orr
Sadly all other places are virtually pointless to farm (Thanks Anet)

Just found this dagger skin on the Database and looks fantastic for my Thief and Elementalist (Like a ninja Sai)

The price of Blood and claws/Scales are dropping so fast… which is great for buyers but not so good for those savong for t3 armour or legendaries …

I feel the same with my Thief…
I wanted something sleek and stealthy so large bulky Trenchcoats are out, the Wispers armour looks like a skirt so i am left with Duelist or T3 Human (which is way out of normal players price range)

Well, Ice trolls/pen, shelter are generally the best places to hunt (according to lots of forum posts) so i’ll try them and hit the dragons :-)

I have decided to start towards getting some of the t3 cultural but hunting i have come up with a little over 3-4 gold from the past few days (with omnom berry boost)

I have heard great things from ice trolls (powerful bloods to sell) so ive been hunting there as well as a few areas in orr but the loot drops are terrible.
Someone mentioned the skelks in the southshore cove but they are worse than the Ice trolls for loot :-(

So, anyone got some decent locations to hunt (other thsn fotm dungeon) ?

When i seem to be getting nothing but porus bones as loot, then it is time to move on… Sometimes can be as little as 30 minutes :-(

I play a condition thief d/d+shortbow Many times in wvwvw i have been on top of a wall defending a keep and use the 2 for the cluster bomb…
Sadly, sometimes i forget to change from d/d to shortbow so i end up leaping off the wall into the middle of the zerg :-( (Sadly this has happened several times) hehe

Same, attended, disconnected.. no loot no mail VERY &%$%^$ off :-(
And all the kiddies bragging in game chat about their mail chest AND looting the event chest gets old real fast …

There is a forum post on the Thief forum with people showing off their cool armours… sadly they show their armours but NOT what armour parts/sets they are from!!!
(i have pm’d a few asking them so hopefuly will hear back from them soon)

Listen to the in-game chat … all i hear are guys/gals bragging about what they got in the chest and how much gold they have sold it for…
Still waiting for my chest…

So… those that DID the event, got the chest and loot are also meeting the criteria to get ANOTHER chest full of loot while those that did the event crashed/dc’s during the event that we attended are not deemed worthy?

Everyone in-game is bragging about the loot they have recieved in chest… i attended – no loot and no e-mail chest…

Ny toon attended both the friday (attack on LA) and the Saturday (explore the Kaka island) and Sunday (but got disconnected and could not get back in)

Having played through all the fri/sat events and getting dc’d sunday i though i would get one, but i guess again they have messed up :-(
Now i have people bragging in-game chat about getting exotics n chests even though they did not attend any of the event… Things like this really make me feel like Anet does not have a clue about running a game.

I completed fri and sat and got dis conn 3 times sunday then could not log back in (when i did the event was over)
Now people are getting chests… is there a delay? Why have i not recieved a chest?

? how come? i disconnected too but got no chest?
