Hello, I have 2 questions on dungeon tokens I hope someone can help me with…

1, how many times a day (runs) can you get tokens from the dungeon?
2, are the tokens character bound or account bound? (want to run on my warrior for tokens for armour for my Necro)

I dislike fractals (I mainly W3) and see the new system as a great way for me to get my rings and amulets, but one thing still annoys me and that is no back piece?

You can craft in mystic forge but still need to farm fractals for the ingredients needed!
Make the ingredients tradable… let me buy them then craft my back piece!

Maybe they got destroyed/owned by a pro in W3 or spvp and decided to make one themselves?

I’m making a power necro for wvwvw and undecided about weapons to use…
I was going with dagger/whorn but the skills on whorn (2 sec daze and 1 sec cripple) seem a little weak.
Maybe focus?

Warriors are already lacking in W3 so to further nerf them for the PvE crowd will be a big problem.

Ok, maybe this is some sick developer joke but unless you are a thief or tanky warrior/guardian then this vista is impossible.

The vista is the Dostoev Sky one, where you have to open a gate. Sadly the lever for the gate is guarded by a cannon, 1 vet and 4-5 dredge (all ranged weapons) then once through the gate the vista has 2 vets and 3- dredge guarding it (again ranged).
With a small party this is doable but since the area is basically deserted it makes the vista impossible to do.

Seriously, in W3 I have full exotics, 24k health, 1600 toughness yet it seems a stiff fart from an enemy player will take me down to half health :-(

Yet I see Guardians and Ellies taking everything I give them, hardly lose life and give back to me far more damage than I am giving out!!!
Just seems wrong that a Warrior – (Made to kill) dies so easily with average damage (Yes, traited for axe damage with bloodlust rune on axe)

For months I have reported a series of Bots at the Skelk area in Southshore (Gandara server) and recently they have all disappeared :-)
Now hopefully my bloods will once again be worth selling :-)

i’m thinking Knights armour but for the runes… are there Dolyak runes in PvE? if not, what are the best runes to use? (maybe vampire or divinity?

Jewels all berserker, Berserker weapons (or would knight be better for added power?)
Weapons – bloodlust+accuracy ? with maybe fire and hydromancy on 2nd set…(for chill on swap)?

General rotation – Ds2,d3,wells,d1 whorn5, ds4 to finish – (maybe switch weapons for axe/focus 5 when fighting thieves/guardians) and use axe 2 for emergency health steal.

All advice appreciated as I am a novice/noob to the wonderful necromancer

I really want to use the build but lots of changes have been made to the game I am wondering which freeze build will work best for 1v1/small raids in wvwvw?

Looking for a good hammer build for wvwvw ? (maybe hammer/rifle?)

Shame they retired (LOD) would have loved getting the hammer build from them.

To be honest, if I did have a zerg guild, Warriors would be one of the last classes i’d have in them as they offer very little that other classes can do much better with far better survivability.

40% warriors? what server you on? on my server (Gandara) warriors are few and far between – closer to 10% if that.

What i’m getting at is the large proportion of Guardians/mesmers/ellies compared to the others

I play mainly W3 and over the last few weeks I have been involved in small group -to – 50+ man zerg groups and am upset by the lack of diversity in classes.

Tonight was a prime example… I was part of a 31 man group which consisted of 10 guardians, 8 mesmers, 7 ellies (all d/d) 2 thieves 1 necro 2 rangers and 1 warrior (me)

and basically was the same story on the opposing team… Why are the other classes unused? or is there such class unbalance?

I have just finished the achievement (75 refugee helping thing) and had a message saying that I have the achievement but not received any picture?

Do I have to go somewhere/talk to someone to get it?

I will run with knights armour and berserker trinkets, berserker weapons…

As I stated, Holiday skins (specifically princess wand skins) are rising every day (seems every hour as people are bulk buying them)

Look at ghastly grinning shield… 2 weeks ago 20g now 150+g
Passion fruit seems to be rising to as people speculate on new recipe needs

Juggermancer seems to have a load of fractal/ascended crap on it (I am not a fractal farmer) so that’s out
I do like Lettuice’s build but wonder if it would work for 1v1’s and small group action so maybe knights or berserkers gear?
Does the damage rely on crit chance?

Salvaging them for Ectos would again only reward the FOTM farmers without giving out same to other playstyles.
A am against this (until they release many more avenues to get the rings)

I mainly open world pve and WvWvW and am hoping the ascended gear will finally be available to me without being forced to do fractals ( which are ok but not my playstyle)

Which one would be better for wvwvw ? What gear? full bezerkers?

Don’t get me wrong, after playing the warrior I like it and it shines in large group support and in pve but sadly I prefer working in wvwvw small groups/alone which works fine until you come up against a Guardian/Mesmer etc…
If they are bad you can win easily, but if they are played average/well then you have little chance with no escape route ( a well played Guardian will sit there laughing as you hit on him while wearing down your health)
I guess just not my play style – which is sad but all a learning experience :-)

After playing a Thief and a Guardian, I decided to make a Warrior as I love the idea of a burly Norn with a big sword!!
After playing for a while I now understand why I hardly see any in WvWvW

Was in several W3 battles over the last week and saw a maximum of 5 Warriors counting on both sides, so I asked in the server chat why there were so few and was told (both by commanders and many others) that Warriors shine in pve but suck in pvp (their words not mine)

Simply put… they die too easily in PvP/WvWvW – You could spec in defence but then you’d just be a poor mans Guardian. Main attacks are close combat focused and very easy to avoid and crucify from range- just making the warrior a free badge.

Sure there are a few good Warrior players who will argue how amazing they are and that it’s a ltp issue, but when I all I see are Guardians/mesmers/thieves and rangers in wvwvw/pvp then no one can deny there is an issue.

As stated in the title, just my and am guessing the majority of my servers thoughts o the Warrior.

As of the previous 3-4 days both these items seem to have shot up I price? (especially powerful bloods)
This due to a bot ban?

Has there been a new bot ban? I went to Southshore (usually home to a dozen Ranger bots farming the Skelks) but didn’t see a single one, and the price of Bloods seems to be rising, as well as other items… (Maybe TP traders)

Examples… Powerful bloods were as low as 13 Silver last week, now they are getting to around 20 Silver, and seems someone is buying up all the Winter events items such as the Princess wand skins (probably hoping to make a killing later in the year)…
Seems it is getting worth while to hunt in the open world again :-)

Where are all my fellow Gandarans? Hard to start break-out event on my own hehe

I love WvWvW and spend most of my time there (mostly dead but still fun) but more and more I see people linking ascended ring/backpacks etc.. which gives them an advantage (albeit a very small advantage) when fighting.

I dislike Fractals (just not my thing) so will the new token system allow to purchase Ascended rings/back items? or just an amulet?

If not, maybe let them be sold on the tp?

Gandara is a strong/well populated/active server both in pve and WvWvW

Are fractals the only place to get them (ingredients for ascended)?

Hello, finally getting around to finidhing my monthly and the only thing i have left to do is find the Jumping Puzzles but as i hate them (they are fun but i am useless at them) i have no idea where some easy to find ones are?

I see a lot of moaning about Thieves/Elies being OP and just as many Rangers/Necros being Underpowered then there is Youtube …

It took me less than 5 seconds to come across dozens of Ranger, Engineers and Necro WvWvW videos showing the taking on small groups and winning easily …

So, if these (lesser) WvWvW classes can own (easily in some cases) the more powerful builds, then maybe all classes are balanced and all down to player skill?

And some still say Stealth is not a problem hehe

•Berserker Ascended items

Ohh dear… i really hope they decide to keep Ascended crap out of WvWvW

Yes, i’m currently making a support Necro and i agree they are very good and fill a lot of rolls.
What mainly suprised me is how low the Warrior i rank in the list… (although i have seen a few good warrior players but even these pale in comparison to a well played Ellie/Ranger)

Dominant – Winning 1v1/small/medium groups …
Large zergs rely too much on spamming aoe for me to make out any outstanding classes (although i do see ellies and rangers making up a large percentage of zergs)

Engineers played right are amazing, but many are not and maybe that is why i rarely see them in W3 …

As for Guardians abilities, i agree they can close the range quickly but then the Ranger can dodge/evade then shoot you to death once at distance again (seen this happen many times when an overconfident Guardian takes on a Ranger looking for easy kill only to take dirt nap.
As stated, this is from personal observations and a good player can make any class shine but the few i highlighted seem to be the ones i see mainly being played well.

From my own personal observations i see several classes that dominate W3 either through great skill or through Sheer power..

Elle – The dagger /dagger ele played well can take on groups of poor warriors easily (many youtube videos showing this) .. i see one i run :-P

Thief – No need to repeat what most people know already (hopefully culling will be fixed)

Ranger – yes, you read right… either in groups or 1v1 rangers are killing machines as a good player will melt melee classes before they can land a hit.

Guardians – Very hard to kill if specced right but still wouldn’t last against a well played ranger/Ele due to their range (from in-game observations)

Warrior – Oh dear… Great burst damage but with so many ranged classes blasting you before you manage to get in a hit in, forget about 1v1 (hammer and gs do very well in zergs though)

All these observations are from watching the classes in-game over the last few months (ok, allow for bad play by some classes but if played well then above seems to be true)

A decent specced Ranger is awesome in 1v1 …
Fire, kite (repeat) ad a few stun blocks and cripples and melee classes such as Fighter/Guardian can’t touch you (Speaking from watching Rangers wipe the floor with these classes)

I am new to warrior and running an axe/shield warrior in WvWvW and just like some advice on dealing with ranged?

Last night a Ranger wiped the floor with me as i couldn’t get close to him to even land a hit!!! I tried shield bash/bull rush . he dodges and continues to hit … i shield block…3 seconds goes so fast then back to getting slaughtered!
I do get the feeling Wv3 is made for ranged classes and should stick to PvE with my warrior :-(

So how do you deal with Rangers?

I must admit, i do love the game but the community in-game seems to be on a slippery slope.
All i seem to read in general chat is players calling each other noob/ltp etc, i refuse to do fractals as unless you know exactly what to do (even at lev 1) you will be ridiculed by the other members of your party and possibly kicked!!!
WvWvW i love, but unless you are a ‘pro’ (not my wording, but one of the commanders in our world) you should not be in wvwvw and should leave or be open to a torrent of verbal which can get quite annoying.

Stick with a good fun guild and things are much better :-)

Hi, i travel a lot so a Laptop is essential, but i also want to play GW2 at a decent framerate in WvWvW (My current Laptop is ok but gets to almost a slide show in large battles)

Anyone have any recommendations?
(I am not after the latest super laptop costing thousanda of pounds/dollars)

First time in today after the reset and was a lot of fun.. Dzagonur seem to be fond of small groups of BS Thieves who seem to roam around slaughtering all they come across (including me) :-)
Saying that, some of the name calling/attitudes from my fellow Gandarans leaves a lot to be desired… Constant calls of ‘Noob/ltp etc’ seem to be thrown around without themselves realising how childish they appear to be!

Case in point… A fellow warrior and i were jumped on by around4-5 BS Thieves, he died within seconds, i high-tailed it out of there as it would have been suicide. I then got constant pm’s from said warrior calling me ‘kitteng Noob’ etc… guess the guy has real life isues and maybe should play less. reported the guy and hope he gets banned/goes back to wow etc…
Maybe last weeks drubbing by Ps has made Us Gandarans a little edgy but really, the childish behaviour needs to be left in the playground.

Im trying to complete the Triumph Plaza vista (straights of devastation) and the mushrooms you jump onto have dissapeared!!!

I’m on Gandara server… anyone else noticed this?
