But… the game has only been out a few months!!! Yeah i expect new content to make the old content obsolete but not so soon.. (i expectred a few years at least). Maybe i have spent too long exploring the beautiful world when i should have been rushing to get the Dungeon armours… so maybe my bad :-(

Im currently in Rares and saving up for my Exotics but i’d also like to get some of the Dungeon armour (i do love the look of the Nightmare armour) but as everyone seems crowded around the new dungeon will people still want to run the old ones?
I’ do not care about the Tier wars i just care how it will affect me with other dungeons…
Ps.. I love the new dungeon but running it won’t get me my Nightmare armour :-(

I had a small patch and seems i am getting much better loot from normal mobs now… anyone else see this?

First visit was yesterday, took me 50+ minutes to find a lev 1 group but once inside it was a blast, died loads of time (so did everyone else).
No hint of elitism as we were all exploring for the first time and was great fun (The jungle map with the traps was crazy).

Now, my concern is with the levels… as time goes on new players to the game and those on their way up to 80 will find it harder and harder to find a low level group (as stated, after only a few days it took me almost a hour to find a Lev 1 group). This is my only concern as the dungeon is mad fun :-)

I would buy some good looking medium armour skins (anything rather than trenchcoats).

Go to the new Dungeon for loot now :-)

I’m on Gandhara as a Thief (Lotus Dream) and still in Rares (searching for Mats for my exotics is taking forever) i was bored of getting my daily Porus Bones from the Orr mobs so i decided to try the new Dungeon.
At first i was a little worried about all the Eliteism i’d encounter (after reading this forum the last few days) but i carried on and was grouped together with some other Lev 1 players and i have to say… It was a blast, we were all newbies, not knowing what to do, all died many many times but thats part of the fun (i was expecting ‘’omgwtf you noob stop dying etc…’’) but we all went into this for fun and fun we had (and some amazing drops that were far better than anything i have ever had drop in Orr). Big thanks to the great guys/Gals i was partied with-all wanted fun and were very good players!
Just a question…
I think i am level 2 now but how can i tell?

I got to 130k Karma before the weekend event… now Plinx is nerfed it kust makes it harder to get Karma armour :-(

And as for loot!!!! Orr loot is Garbage now compared to the new dungeon, so just farm that and salvage for materials :-)

Try open world hunting…
I could build a Palace out of all the Porus Bones i have collected :-( not good when hunting for Exotic Mats …

Went there with another group of Lev 1 and was fun, and even lev 1 was very challenging (i died many times) So a few thoughts from a Newbie…

1, Even at Lev 1 as a Thief i see the benefit in all Exotic Armour just to stay alive (die to low HP)
2, Rewards are very good (Too good?) compared to outside/other dungeons
3, Good to go with someone who knows what they are doing (Luckily we had someone who directed us what to do)

Overall i found it fun but there does need to be a better way to find a group for lower levels …

Char Name – Lotus Dream

Well, i have played the new content – and i do like the new island… and look forward to some new events there (anything other than Plinx for Karma!!) and briefly looked in the new dungeon which looks a great design.
No real thoughts on kitten gear as i’m still in the process of building up my Exotics and having fun exploring – Although crafting drops for my exotics could do with a buff.

Well, i work in retail (Sales and distribution for several Companies PC World, HMV, Gamer) And i have to again explain that Christmas IS the biggest time of the year when people have a holiday and spend time playing their presents No mystery why big games like COD3 and Halo are released around Nov-Dec

And the first thing many do is go to the game forums – (We actually recommend it to gamers) to get a feel of the game and the people who play it.

Not long until Christmas …

I would happily pay for new skins for my Thief :-)

Christmas is the biggest time for a game (especially a new one) with friends and relatives buying games as presents…

Sadly, anyone reading these forums will think twice about buying the game as a present, either for themselves or for someone else… I think Anet has to pull their proverbial finger out of their kitten to win over the Christmas shopping crowd!

Was at the events Fri+Sat but missed the Sun Event due to RL and heard there was a chest !!!! Why no chest for Fri and Sat?

My first fractals Lev 1 and i was teleported with a group into an area with an Asura gate unsure what to do… (No instructions)
So i asked my party and was told…

Its easy, noob.. Not know what to do lol

Well, if there is no instructions what to do, how the hell are you supposed to know?
I was expecting a dungeon – not a small area where you are expected to know what to do …

I must admit, i have met some good and bad people in-game, mainly bad when Dungeons due to people moaning and getting over-stressed because someone ‘’made a mistake’’ . i avoid those people if i can.
This game should be fun, not a stress maker!

—I agree. Farming dungeons is much more rewarding and efficient than that of farming Orr. —

(LGF Dungeon run – Exotics only) – So need Dungeon runs to find mats to make into Exotics so i can go to Dungeons ….

Anyone else see a problem there?

I Can’t stress this enough ….. I want to run FOTM but 99.999% of groups/Guilds expect you to be wearing all Exotic gear.
This is understandable as the dungeon looks hard but sadly i am decked out in Rares and farming Orr for the mats for my Exotics but the drop rates are so low !!!

I am a relatively new player to GW2 and took my time to get to 80 (Smelling the roses) but now i’m here it seems a rat race to get Exotics for the new content – I don’t mind some grind but when 90% of item drops in Orr are Porus Bones is does get disheartening farming :-(

I only found a few events in the new land …
1, Collect golem parts (And die to a burrowing sand worm many times) hehe
2, Collect the Crab monster eggs so some woman can make an Omelette

What others are there ? Any good to farm ? (still 150k away from my Karma Armour set)

Was doing a plinx run (grind) for karma and came across a strange sight…..
A Ranger !!!
6 days i have been in Orr with my cond Thief and all i have seen are GS warriors , Guardians and the odd Mesmer/Necro/Thief (Dual pistols seem to be the flavour of the month on my server for thieves) but never a ranger…
Well i saw one, and he was great – Seemed to be on a par with the warriors for downing the mobs and has a great AOE arrow storm attack that puts my cluster bomb spam to shame…
Was very impressed and wondered why i don’t see more of them!!

I have a condition bleed thief and while it’s fun to play, it looses out in boss fights due to the bleed stacks …

More/better loot drops :-(
So bored of getting nothing but porus bones! how the hell am i supposed to get the mats to craft my exotic gear!!!

Im currently decked out in Rare Carrion armour and saving both gold/Karma for my exotics but i have a question…

What armour would you recommend for a condition THIEF?

1, Carrion? for max cond damage?
2, Karma wisperering armour of infiltration for cond and some added toughness?

Any others?

Thinking of making a condition bleed D/D deathblossom build for pve (maybe wvw ..)
Is it viable?

Same sadly … I have a Condition Thief who can hold his own in PvE but mention the magic words ‘’Condition build’’ and you’ll get rejected…
tried acking for groups, taking up invites but i guess condition builds are not welcome..

Which is a shame …

go PvP or WvW after you have 100% map.

Hey, i’m grinding the 258000 karma i need for Exotics, not even thought about Legendaries yet…
Tried Gringing for Mats to craft but hours of pulling nothing but non-craftable bones :-(

I did fine until you had to enter the gate with a group to find sub commander nell

Was met with the usual crap ’ Oh, you are a condition thief, sorry not want to party with you’’

What pray tell is this fix??
I tried PP build – Great single target damage but lacking survivalility
I tried s/p and ok damage but again low suvivability

So i tried a condition spec D/D build and seems ok low damage compared to crit build but more survivable

So please… what sword spec are you going on about?

I see a lot of Rangers on Gandhara farming gold and Karma.. their bow AOE is great to tag multiple mobs for looting rights :-)

Yeah, im on Ghandara server and still looking for a fun guild myself, sadly most are full of Elitist players where you must have all exotics and have certain builds for you class otherwise do not apply… :-(
I admit i’m not the best player but i do ok, and my main emphasis is to have fun

Fun for me is not some kitten moaning and being abusive because i’m not doing as much damage as his pimped out warrior/Guardian etc…

I regularly farm Arah in a condition build as a Necromancer. I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Lucky you… on Gandhara it is the norm for the chat to say ‘’ lgf no cond damage’’

Dungeons are out as i’m in rares and a condition Thief … Condition builds are a big no no for dungeons sadly …

I was slowly building up my Karma for some of the Exotic gear by having a few Plinx rund a day ( too boring to farm) and i was happy that when i was bored of mat hunting i could drop in on the Event to earn some Karma…

So now the event has been scaled back, where is the best place to hut for Karma now?

Well, they did nerf Plinx … making even more of a grind for my Exotics :-(

Condition damage plays a big part in many classes/builds (including my bleed Thief) and was hoping the 25 bleed cap would be changed so i can join a group for dungeons …
All i seem to get is ‘’ Already have a condition damage build, so no need for you’’

Farm Plinx Event.. oh wait ….

Aww .. Needed to farm Plinx for my Karma Exotics (Finding crafting mats for the Exotics is a joke) !

As it is now it’s horrible hunting/farming in Orr … Far far too many people making my pc a slideshow during most events :-(

Been 80 for a week and thought time to hunt for Karma or mats for my Exotics (currently wearing all rare) but soo many people crowded into a single area makes anything crazy :-(

On Gandhara and must be 40-60 people at plinx all the time grinding away making it almost impossible to target anything (just close eyes and AOE everywhere) and makes my pc a slideshow :-(
Looked at other hunting areas but none are as useful as plinx and the few there are are again crowded with 30+ people – especially as now LFG Dungeon groups won’t allow you you to join them unless you are fully decked out in exotics.

So i say – roll on new 80 area so people are more spread out!!!

And to me thats the problem… these points ’’should’’ be in the patch- then once the game it ticking over nicely, then introduce more armour grind
