This has to be the worst area in the game!
Risen occupy every 5 yards (or so it seems) and 90% of waypoints are always contested/broken…

This will mainly be for wvwvw small groups/single targets..

Can someone link to a build please and would they be effective in wvwvw?
(i know cond necros are average/ok but i am thinking up close ds/wells/bip/dagger 3/etc….

Yeah i meant Gems to gold… Not trusting my Account details to 3rd parties…

Just leveled a warrior and checked the prices for gear … wow!!!
Full set of berzerker exotic 18-20 gold! then there is the cost of runes/sigils etc…

The gold sellers looking very tempting …

I would love to have some Runes of Divinity but cant afford the 8+gold each to buy :-(

Why not make them craftable? Or put on Temple armour?

PVE is way too easy, especially if say you had 3 people with you

That is true but as 90% of zones are emply, finding 2 other people to adventure with/do Event with becomes . Case in point, took meover 4 hours to find someone to help me get a vista point as it has 8-10 high lev monsters surrounding it that enjoy freezing and firing on you – virtually impossible to do alone.

I find Reef skelks better – afterall, that’s where all the bots are…

I mainly wvwvw so wondering if it is worth while making a Necro? Reading the forums it seems they are severely under par compared to other classes such as Mesmers and Ellies :-(

Going through my 2nd character and the world seems deserted (Gandara server)
I’m going through Fireheart rise and increasingly having to avoid large areas/waypoints with events happening as if i try to do them alone i get my kitten handed to me…

Maybe keep the high lev (80 areas) as they are but something needs to be done with the lower servers …

I am used to playing a Thief and warrior and fancied a change…

I play mostly wvwvw and go around in small groups/roam and wondering if anyone has a link to a decent build i can use?
Maybe the d/d power build? Or for what i need is the necro not a good choice?

Having read the forums seems dagger/warhorn is a great combo for small group/roaming with power/prec/crit build ….. Thoughts?

3 ways i have come across…

1, Trade post 8g+ each ..
2, Stick 4 major runes into mystic forge and pray you get one
3, Loot with a rune in- then salvage

I used d/d deathblossom… roll to the doc, hit her a few times with DB, kite/invis away … rinse and repeat…

Just had this Vigil/story mission on my Warrior and died several times due to mainly being Melee.
The mission is basically to fight 2x Veteran strength bosses then after fight 3 vetean strength bosses then a final boss.
Fighting the final boss was not a problem, but when you are fighting groups (especilally the three) you are wailing on one of them while the other two tear you apart. In this scenario dodging and kiting will only go so far as three veterab-level guys (Melee and ranged) are constantly attacking/shooting/blasting you with fire. This is easier for certin classes (Ranger) as you can distract the other two with your pet while tou kite and shoot one of them.
I eventually completed it but took a lot of luring… one at a time :-)

Just finished the storyline mission ‘The good fight’ (where you go against 2 fighters then 3 fighters then final boss) and took me 3 attempts to finish it with my axe/shield warrior. Even then it took tactics such as seperating each fighter and then beating them, as tying to fight them all together was suicide!

I had no problems on my Thief (DB then caltrops then invis -rinse and repeat) and my Ranger (let them focus on my bear while i kill them from afar) both were easy-ish compared to the warrior.
Am i missing something or is the warrior very squishy? (Lev 52 with Lev 52 gear)

I am collecting the heavy armour from Blazeridge steppes… have every part except the sholders??

Are the shoulders missing? if not can someone please direct me to the heart that sells them?

My favourite armor runes for wvw are superior runes of lyssa(to be paired up with SoR)

Sor = Signet of rage?

Didn’t you miss all the other bonuses from the Divinity runes? although 60 + is not a lot in the grand scheme of things i guess … but the lack of crit chance is a concern..

Hi, i am making a warrior and going for the ‘barbarian’ look from a mixture of barbarian and gladiator pieces but unsure about weapons …

I am after an Axe, shield, sword, warhorn

Can somebody please suggest some brabarian-styled weapon skins that would look in-character…

I mainly will be roaming in small groups, hence the axe/shield+sword/warhorn ..
For ranged, maybe switch to a rifle?

New to the Warrior (lev 35) and so far finding it fun (although dying a lot) :-)

This build will be mainly for WvWvW and some pve and as you see it has divinity runes in the armour slots…

Questions …
1. Would you recommend other rune/jewels in these slots (maybe ruby/beryl mix?) or are divinity runes preferable?

2. what sigil woud you recomend for the warhorn?

I have a few characters that are condition specd and wanted to make a damage dealer (dps) mainly for wvwvw
So far so good until i came across the cost of runes and sigils!!! Specifically sigils of bloodlust/runes of divinity etc… Totally out of most peoples price ranges (unless buying gems for gold) :-(

I have a single stack of items… say 80 how do i seperate them into 4×20 stacks?
is there a way?

Have a low lev Mesmer and Warrior (looking forward to wvwvw) then i came upon these videos on youtube of the thief…

Started Fields of Ruin at a lev 30 and completed it and i am only Lev 35 ???
I have spent loads of time doing other ‘Events’ but seems this area gives super low Exp…

Anyone have any cheaper alternatives to the divinity runes? Maybe Beryl/ruby orbs?

The beryl orbs look good, could they be used in armour? or just in trinkets?

I hit 80 and had a look at some of the runes i can use in my armour…

The prices are crazy!!! 8+ gold for a single Superior Divinity rune!!! Is this to force people to use the cash shop? :-(

I am new to Necro (i have a bs Thief which is so boooooring!) and looking for a change…
So i am thinking …

Scepter/Dagger + Staff (staff for ground based targets then dagger/scepter for up close)
Spite 30, Curses 30, Blood 10

Utilities . blood is power, corrupt boom, Epidemic ?

Basically geared around wvwvw small group and 1v1 fights (dislike large zergs) would this be ok, or for wvwvw what would you change? (remember, i am a semi-newb) :-)

Hi, new (very) to necro and i mainly wvwvw.. so i apologise for the newbie (maybe obvious) questions i am asking and hope you can help…

This buid looks great (looks fun and different to the cookie-cutter cond necros i have seen) but have a few questions/thinks i hope you can clear up..

1. Armour should be knights? (Power/prec/vit)? along wuth same type jewelry?
2. d/d+d/f – what would you suggest the sequence/combo i use? (Dagger 3, Dagger 5, DS freeze, wells) – to paralyse then weaken then wells to kill? How does the focus come into this?
And for Guardians – Focus5, dagger 4, DS4, well of darkness?

Sorry if the questions are obvious but just learning the class and the combo’s are confusing :-)

I have a char with 400,000+ Karma but im starting a new character… can i buy karma items with my 1st toon then transfer them (va my bank) to my new charater or are all karma items soulbound on aquire?

Is the op serious? Rangers are great in pvm and if played right, they are amazing in wvwvw

I wvwvw a lot, but also need to do my Dalies – so on the way to a fight i will often take time off to kill various different critters for my achievements as well as mine/gather resources.

I have a condition thief and have the following runes/sigils…

Carrion gear with 5x sigil of afflicted 1x rune of necromancer (to enhance power/vitality and cond damage)

Jewels/rings – all carrion with crysola jewels

Weapons – i have a sigil of agony on each of my daggers (10% bleed duration)

Is this a decent set-up for a condition thief? if not, what sigils would you recommend?

I play on the Gandara server, mostly wvwvw and am currently running with a condition thief.
I can usually take down most opponents (get taken out a lot too, which is part of the fun) but came across a hammer wearing Guardian who basically trashed me like a young child :-(
The build seemed to be amazing… great defence and damage

Damage …… as the armour/runes and jewelry have + cond damage on them…

Been playing for a few months but someone said something to me in-game which made me come here to ask a question…

I use condition build character using full carion with cond runes, cond jewelry with crysola jewels in them ..

I heard max you can get from armour/runes/jewelry is 100% condition damage?
As all my jewelry/armour and runes comes to much much more that 100% condition damage… is it wasted? or do they all stack?

Sounds like the usual ‘A big bad Thief killed me and no-one should be able to kill me because i am the best so Thieves must be so OP!!’ thread!!
Growing old now … (I play a Necro and my win ratio is about 60-70% against Thieves)

I despise Fractals with a passion and would love NEVER to do them again, please remove them from monthlies :-)

Sadly, i was on Piken Square for a few weeks (as i am at heart a roleplayer), and found little or no roleplay :-( .
Was the usual in game chat garbage about rl (what people are doing that night, how several guys wanted to ‘bang’ their female avatars!?! etc…) So tip is-even on Piken is to find a dedicated role play guild and ONLY roleplay in guild chat…
If you try RP chat outside of your guild, be prepared for ‘’lol noob/geek/ get a rl gf etc…’’ – i got bored of it and joined Gandara .. and roleplay with my small group,

Be warned though, best to do Fractals with friends… Sadly unless you know instinctively how to do each Fractal you will be open to the usual ‘Noob, Learh how to play’ usual immature kiddie garbage.

Case in point… Yesterday i ran a Lev 5 Fractal… and was the FIRST time i came to the Dredge fractal (Never played that one before) so i did not know what to do.. So i asked my party on advice on what to do – The amount of juvenile name calling i recieved (Noob/Loser etc…) was unexpected … So do them with friends :-)
