If i see 100+ people in a queue…Why would i wait it out ? Once upon a time there was a godly warrior (Me) who thought his Hambow skills
were the greatest anybody had ever seen! He was invinsible, unkillable by one….It took three!
This warrior was traited into adrenal healing and kept his adreniline full at all times, he had a mighty clerics amulet and a signet that made him unbeatable.
The warrior healed himself for upwards of 800hp/second and had 8K of healing in his toolbelt to help him, may his HP ever drop.
His hard hitting condition/base damage circles made it impossible for players to get near enough to hit him and if they did he would hammah stun them and then knock them away. TROLOLOLOLOL
Never did the mighty warrior have to heal himself, if his health went too low he would just become invulnerable to damage and gain a mighty 5K of health over a six second period and surely his shouts were ready to blow again! So the full health warrior raged on.Mr.hambow hot bored of his warrior and made a guardian…only then did he realize he was a horrible player.
Now in all honesty I think warrior healing is way out of line, and way overpowered. The signet itself I can understand and they can keep that, what I’m worried about more is the “adrenal healing” trait that they so cherish which gains up
to 360 hp/second depending on their adrenaline level at the time. Most warriors will sit at full adrenaline for the duration
of the fight just to gain the 405 (signet) + 360 as a constant passive. This makes it extremely hard for one player alone to deal with and it seems impossible to kill a warrior with just one player. Some players can but it seems to me like this class was intended for the players that had no skill or imagination.I would really like to see this trait either moved to as non used trait line or HALVED in ptencey as it just kills pvp. I know there are many players out there that feel the exact same way as me. Why not fix the poor little rangers out there that are useless inside of pvp and WvW because of their poor base damage and kittenty pet AI. Or the mesmers that can’t get any damage out of their build without being as easy to break as a toothpick with a sledgehammer.
Start realizing that adren needs to be filled,if you make sure he doesnt hit you…Wich any range class or condi spammer or evade spammer….( ZzzZzz ) is able to do.Then his adren wont gain,also..adren is being used for F1 skills and it is a condi cleanser.Adren health has 3 uses,so keeping it for hp regen only means he has to waste 2 other ways of using his adren…Also torment,bleeds,poison, bye bye hp regen ! it really isnt that hard to figure out you know…like most necros figure out how to deal with berserk aswell..Also whats the point in trying to make yourself feel good by downtalking about the players that roll a warrior,no skill,unimaginative, ? Dont be kitten because you get killed by a warrior,think hes OP but its actually your own lack of skill that couldn’t deal with him.And wait,did you just seriously say mesmers that cant get any dmg out of their build……. ?

Sorry, but I have no sympathy for warriors. You can’t deny that warriors as they are now, are solid. They have good defense, are self reliant, deal good damage and are easy to play. It’s also a known fact that professions that were in a less fortunate position, managed to hold their own quite well. So for warriors to be nerfed slightly, but still be above what the weaker professions used to be, means you’ll still be doing fine. It’ll just be a little more challenging. Which can be fun right?
Grab a warrior and go play vs any decent mesmer,engi,thief or necro.Have fun ! And honestly stop deluding yourself,warrior is anything but easy to play if you roll smthing else then a hambow offc.

To deal with condis i jst switch up my utilities. Jst cause those are the ones i put up doesnt mean they dont get switched. Codni removal shout/ sig and sometimes i change the vit trait to use “shake it off” wen u get a condi. As i said i switch weapons too. Gs for mobility and sometimes bull charge utility. Depends what im doing. Condi temoval is ez. Same with mobility. U can throw any weapon u want in there. Even traited WH
How is shake it off usefull against 6+ condis ? Better go for stamina,since its a full cleanse.

Our condition damage is horrible in comparison.Using the most possible bunker I can use. Trying all the rune combinations.
I don’t care if my damage is horrible, I just want to have a chance at being bunker, but I’m being loaded with condis and cc’d around like a pinball. Can’t use ether renewal without stab because it’s slow as all hell, and the enemy can see the cast.
We all know eles are the garbage class, and I’m not new to the class. I don’t play other classes at all, despite getting them to 80. The whole time I’m like “I can’t dodge. I can’t move. I can’t heal.” All the while watching people walk out of all my cc’s. I’ve used every amulet, rune set, and mostly always energy sigil. Every weapon set. Right now I’m practicing with 0/0/30/20/20 with staff in lieu of the upcoming patch.
Hammer..Spamm.. ? Hamm has a cd of 12/12/20/30/ES on 10…. you can’t “Spamm” that….
The upcoming changes won’t overpower warriors once again, but rather it will make them more powerful than their current overpowered state.
Such a huge amount of time without balance patches, and unwillingness to remove bad ideas (I’m looking at you, berserker stance and dhuumfire) is going to be the biggest problem. If something in this patch unbalances or overpowers something else, it may as well be permanent because of how long inbetween each patch, and how little certain things get nerfed after some superbuff(8% healing signet…).
Much faster, smaller balance updates would be a wonderful thing to help get better balance.
8% healing signet nerf is fine. Berserker stance is really not that strong. Dhuumfire will be on life blast now, so for a regular player it will be weaker.
However…. hambow with those 2 extra sigils will get extra strong. Something else should be nerfed somehow to compensate for that I think. For example cleansing ire which is very, very strong.
Y sure nerf our way of cleansing conditions in this condi spamming cluster f&*& of Who can spamm the most aoe’s will win.
It’s only the people that were running away because they didn’t want to risk a fee that will now change their attitude.

I’ve had the same issue lately. I’ve noticed it more so in PvP. There are times when I take damage through my block, and I used to not be affected by pulls or knockbacks when I’d block but now they get me everytime
Some skills are unblockable,like thiefs choking gas for e.g.You can also be fighting a warr with signet of might being unblockable.
Thats not a bug,have been like this since the start of gw2.
About time! No class should be able to heal that well while simultaneously putting out that much pressure.. and yea, they dont have to work very hard to do excactly that.

Yes, I have noticed same problems on Earthshaker.
It does exactly as you describe when I use same settings you have.
At 1st I thought it was skill lag but it isn’t that.
It can take a few seconds to activate after releasing the F1 button and by that time you’ve moved on hence the ‘porting’ around.
If it doesn’t activate when I release then naturaly I keep using other skills then all of a sudden Earthshaker activates where I wanted it to be 3 seconds ago.

Yeah this is really annoying,i cant count the times ive been screwed over because of this bug.The only way you can get out this bug is to use a leap skill.SO just use any mobility skill and youre free again.
This really needs to be adressed asap,since its a bug that will kill you if your mobility skills are on cd.

It’s your client though,ive had the same but only all Oil’s suddenly appeared as pink for me in wvw.
I deleted Local.Dat, located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 ( Must have hidden folders set to shown ).
Deleted the GW2cache in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp.
Then did a repair,and it fixed it.

Only after they caved to the initial QQ flooding over how the Warrior wasn’t as OP in pvp as it was in pve.
The healsig buff was needed,the skill in itself was useless compared to the other heals we had and never being used by anyone.That wasn’t “caving” in,that was making a proper decision based on balancing the game out,this however,is not.
Who cares…they lose their bp’s and all you have to do is walk around them.Also if those bp’s make you lag….im worrying about the fps you have in zerg fights……

The Regen Nerf wasnt big enough. They don’t hit Wars with gigantic percentage nerfs like they do Thief so be grateful. :P
Because it’s an unjustified nerf based on the constant amount of qq flooding on the forums that made anet turn.Not because the skill in itself is op,because it isn’t.Any ticking condition,+ poison deals with hp regen.But people are to lazy to actually spend time taking into account when the best time is to use what,like some people are triggerhappy with condi’s when someone pops berserk and than come rage to the forum about how op berserk is.

I have to agree,condi warrs currently are to strong,im a warr myself btw so its not that im hating on the class because i get slaughtered by them.I can make a condi build ( spvp) With around 3.8k armor ( toughness regen banner ) unbuffed 1.3k condi dmg with around 44% unbuffed precision,healsig for around 407 hp/sec + the banners 168/hpsec no added healpower instead of the 30 in def line.Bow / s/s…most 1on1 can blast me all they want but they hardly take any dmg from me while im putting out crazy amounts of condi dmg ( engi’s are my only biggest problem with this build ) ,Torment in its current state is Way Way to strong and the dmg being dealed by torment alone should be toned down,but it goes for All condi’s imo.I’m not even rolling the build anymore,i honestly think it’s cheapmode,and the build itself hardly requires any skill at all to be played right.I like to play as a warrior not as a condi spammer,else i would have a rolled a necro.The condi meta will not change untill anet starts realizing how strong it really is.

Since when is gold nothing?
30 silver for serious effort in a TPvP match is tantamount to nothing. You get more silver selling the loot for afk auto-attacking most world bosses for 2-3 minutes in PvE.
I think 30 silver should be increased a bit but please think from a different perspective.
I play PvP 99% of my game time, to me, being able to earn some gold from spvp is nice.(Assuming gold is going to become the common currency for both pvp and pve, compared to only being able to spend glory on pvp only items, I will end up having choices, and choices is good, and it promotes PvE population trying out PvP and vise versa)
I don’t see TPvP as an effort, because, winning or losing, I’m enjoying the process a lot, on the other hand, I hate doing PvE content, so regardless of the rewards, I stay away from it.
Sometimes it’s not about how MUCH you earn, is about earning Enough while ENJOYING the process. And ANET’s first move is to attract more people who will eventually enjoy PvP as well….
you could craft dyes previously from PvP salvages and in turn make gold lol
I crafted ~50 dyes or so, made about 30G from it (all beit, 2 of them were 10G a peice lol, so I got a bit lucky)

Just because you’ve not received a personalized response from the owner and/or creator of gw2 doesnt mean it’s going to go unnoticed. Sarcasm aside, do you have auto-targeting and skill promotion on or off in options? Second, do you move the camera around using WASD, left mouse button, or right mouse button? More info helps than less info. Also, have you tried it without actually attacking anything and/or a temporary reset of traits?
edit: Did you try it with the other targeting options as well? It might simply be an issue with fast cast.
I did try using other targeting options,the thing is.The bug doesnt Always happen,it seems to happen when im using it “to fast”,aim and let go right away.And yeah using right mouse button to move the camera wich could also be part of the problem..maybe when turning the cam and using earthshake at the same time while using or letting go of the right mouse button..that does sound like it could be the culprit.Will test this later when i can log.
@ Mystic,we’ve had more bugs then you can possibly imagine.And i just said that because weve had a pretty nasty hammer bug on skill 4 some time ago,that didn’t got fixed for like a month and a half later,made us root in place Twice..Wich was incredibly annoying.

My system is fully watercooled for noise reduction, sooooo, regardless, I will not have a system with coil whine myself. It is personal preference, and I choose no. As far as defective, you are absolutely right, but I will not tolerate my PSU or GPU to have it

Coil whine can happen even on new cards when there is absolutely nothing wrong with the gpu itself,You’re actually hearing the power regulation hardware hitting the resonant frequency for that particular electromagnetic coil. When you are putting the circuitry under one-hundred percent load, you pumping the maximum current through it and since we do not have perfectly efficient electronics, waste electricity is given off in the form of heat, vibration and thus sound. Now please, this is a very oversimplified take on it. It’s actually the magnetic field of a coil that causes it to vibrate and thus produce sound.
As for cap squeal, same concept. Electrolyte in the capacitors intake a relatively large amount of energy in a short amount of time and thus causing heat again. You’re actually hearing electrons in the electrolyte moving around very quickly due to the constant charge and discharge cycles they go through.Enabling Vsync in most games,can lessen or remove the coil whine noise.The more fps you get,the more coil whine you can hear.
There is no danger in this at all,your card is not defective,and your card will not suddenly burn down in flames…Dont worry.

Hello, I currently have a desktop with a 660 TI Video card, It is starting to have some coil whine and im looking to replace it. Honnestly the only game i play anymore is guild wars 2.
Im looking to spend about 300 hundred total and was wondering if anyone can reccomend something that will run guild wars 2 on high settings. Processor is a i7 2600K so i should be fine there. Sorry if this has been asked over and over, if its a issue ill remove it

In all seriousness… We DO listen to you guys. We can’t snap our fingers and have it all done. That’s just not how game development works, unfortunately.
These things take time. We need to flesh out ideas, brainstorm, iterate, code, script, document, etc. Not all in the order, but you get the idea. There is a process. One that takes time.
We’re not like the sims, where you can just fast forward to the results. We have put a lot of features in this game as a direct result from player feedback.
The pvp base is waiting for almost 2 years for these things to happen Allie,while you guys have been working kitten the PVE side of this game,there hasn’t been anything remotely interesting happening to the pvp side.While there have been so many great suggestions being made by the community on this forum on how to improve pvp,thus my reaction on how i couldn’t quite understand that the devs do things based on player feed back since those suggestions have been around for months now and i haven’t seen them ingame.
Trust me..i love this game,still do,but pvp needs a HUGE overhaul,it needs to be rechecked balanced wise ( counts for All classes ) and is in desperate need of new gamemodes and new maps to keep your current players and to make sure they want to return for more and to eventually attract even more players to your game.Current pvp mode is lacking in numerous ways.Amulets need to be removed and replaced by proper rings and necklaces to add more variety in build setups,new game modes and a way to remove the zerging aspect that is going on in pvp.You have loads of balancing issues going on aswell that seem to go completely unnoticed.
The “build diversity patch” where tey added healing signet, cleansing ire, and those other things.
That patch where they also added the aetherblade dungeon with Mai Trin at the end… I renember it very clearly :/. Arenanet said we’d get build diversity for all profession… So I was super excited for a month or so… And it ended up being a huge dissapointment where eles were the new warrior (aka useless), and warrior became jack of all trades, master of all, with high damage, awesome control, awesome defense and healing.
Anyway, I’ll just stop now before I get infracted for some reason.

What in the world…Healsig has always been available from Day One.This just shows you dont got a clue At All.Healsig merely got buffed because the skill in it’s previous state was completely useless.Warrs needed the sustain,same goes for condi cleansing since that is still completely out of control.if you want to say something…atleast make it sound like you got a clue what youre even talking about.

When using Earthshaker on warrior, i randomly jump to locations i am not aiming for making me completely miss my target at times.It also happens that when using Earthshaker and for e.g aiming to the right..my screen makes it seems i jump left,but a split second later i port to the right location.
Having targeting set to Fast with range indicator.The bug is present for some time now,its not lag/latency related since its only happening when using Earthshake so you can rule out rubberbanding or w/e.Its clearly a bug in the skill itself.Hope you will take a look at this soon so it can be resolved.

Nah that’s just “normal” spell effects in gw2,way over the top.Been suggested for a spell effect slider to reduce the effects so you can actually see what youre doing,but i doubt it’s coming.Currently there is no way to adjust the density of spell effects.

Because its passive play and when I fight a battle where someone distributes a lot of retaliation and look in the damage log after death often 40-70% of damage come from retaliation. It doest feel right.
Does blind spamming feel right ? Fear spamming ? Stealths,evade spamming ? Porting on knockdowns ? Engis nade spamming while running in circles like ffing speedy gonzales on crack ? Tell me one thing that seems “Fair” in pvp,because i still have to find it.
Pvp is lacking game modes and maps mostly,also to be honest pvp in it’s current state is an unbalanced chaotic mess.People purposely picking asurans,no telegraphic moves that can be seen,compared to a norn or a charr, ( Its cheap..it Really Really Really is one of the cheapest things you can possible do,Pick up a race because of This reason ) , Then you have Engis running in circles spamming nades..being untouchable while doing so, No need to even target anything at all,just spamm and win,who needs skill.Necs with 3 hp bars,and a form that is able to neglect any form of melee dmg because of the constant blind spamming ( melee speaking ),Have fun cleansing,because you got the same kittenload of conditions back on you 2 sec later when your boons gets ripped and you got fear spammed into oblivion.Rangers with 30 sec stabi and their own personal zoo…. Pu mesmers,Thiefs blindspamming and over the top evade spamming.Also condi builds can be much tankier then a power/crit build due to the current amulet system,wich should be completely reworked imo,better yet..Removed and replaced with proper rings and accesoires to provide a more variety in different kinds of build setups instead of focring people to go this or that way and having no inbetween.Currently pvp is completely and utterly broken in every sense.Speaking as a warr ,the only viable thing for a warr to do against all these cheapmode spamm builds is to run a cheap condi/tank build yourself so you can join the aoe condi spamm chaos,because whatever else you try,will fail 90% of the time,unless youre facing a complete noob.The evade,blind,overall aoe condi spamming and dmg output is completely fubar in this game up the point that it really starts to irk me at times…I get more depressed every time i hop in pvp seeing all the crap going on and how unbalanced it all really is.I doubt anet will ever sort this mess out.
Anyway,before they even should start thinking about the stuff you mentioned,they need to balance the hell out of this game first.
Also I really like the mechanics of GW2 because it is more focused on skill… I’’m sorry to be the one saying it,but it really isn’t about skill in this game.

I thought the entire point of this game was to play how you want to play or at least that’s what people on these forums who consistently defend GW2 say.
I am in favor of this because it allows people who have NO interest in farming the same boring events over and over a different way to get the same thing.
I would like ascended armor,but i dont like to craft,simply because i hate crafting,i dont play a game to stand infront of a crafting station clicking my kitten off for an hour.Am i forced to go craft if i’d like it.. ? Seems so…In that case,i won’t.If you don’t like doing something,just don’t.
EOTM is a bad map design mainly due to the fact that you are constantly feared, launched, or knockback’ed off the edge. if you are not near the edge you are constantly hammered by hammer warrior’s or by a zerg in general. suggestions is either remove the ability to fear players off or grant a stability buff. Also remove the armor breaking mechanic when knocked off. The kodan buff is like what im suggesting, a allways on buff that requires badges of honor to use, one that grants stability.
If you remove the broken armor on death,thn whats holding people back from just launching themselves into the abyss whenever they meet someone they dont wanna fight ? Giving people a stabi buff would be horrible for people with a stunlock build,it would Force them to go another way.How would you like it as a nec for examp,that people would get a condi immunity buff…. ?
That people rather rely on outmanning instead of outplaying.Relying on numbers,instead of skill.Those same people,run inside their towers when its an even fight.Those same people,get crushed during the day only to cap all bl’s during the night vs 3 people with their Brave 40man zerg, thus still getting an unfair advantage.That for some reason…people are afraid to die,like they will die in real life when they die ingame…having a 1on1,getting low on hp,and they rather let you chase them down the entire map,trying to get inside a tower…instead of just accepting a defeat.People’s mentality in this game overall,is just pretty kitten.

hm you have access to infinite dodges then? 1-2 of em is np, but 4-5+ is and no dimishing returns on cc is something this game could use so people can spam their cc mindlessly whenever they want, but able to penalize themself as they see skill going on cooldown, but no or less effect.
Do you have acces to infinite amount of condi cleansing ? Do you have acces to anything infinite at all ? No…you dont.Why do you ask the same question when it comes to endurance ? Make sense. Also,how in the world are you people still able to try and make it look like a hamm warr is simply…Spamming away.With a heavy slow telegraphed weapon like that ,you have to time your hits because you dont want to be wasting your stuns,Thus “Not smacking away but timing and anticipating when to land a stun or kd”.Tbh,a hamm warr requires more skill to play then most other AOE Easy mode spam spam spam classes out there that just require a person to be able to run in circles like a kitten spamming aoes behind because theyl Always hit,unlike a slow heavy telegraphed weapon, that needs to be timed to be succesful and with all the blocks,stabi’s,blind spamming,immunity’s,invulnerabilitys,its Much harder to land a hammer stun/kd than it is to spamm your aoe rings allover the place,because honestly..the last requires 0 skill.

FF ARR looks better than gw2.
Is it a joke? There is 2 reasons why I dropped FF ARR and it is:
1) Boring gameplay
2) Awful awful graphic design. They are put more polygons in their models, but it looks dolls with 2k textures and architecture is a box and cylinders.
Absence of details, every model is just super boring.
FF ARR has much higher res textures then gw2 has,besides it has proper support for AA and an optimized client.Liking a sort of “Design” is a matter of opinion,that has not much to do with the quality of the ingame textures.FF ARR also uses a far more advanced form of lightning/shadow and their nights actually look like..nights.They actually had to downgrade the graphics a bit to allow people with lower end systems able to play the game properly.Also,they will even add DirectX11 support later on.
