I’m not so sure about all the gifts but you did have a few interesting ones like the mystic clover idea. some of them a pretty basic gathering but for tougher ones like t6 material they could make a quest line that leads us through a more rich area with tougher enemies kinda like a mini dungeon thats possible to solo or bring friends (give us a reason to wanna team up) with a chest at the end giving us a small portion of what we need.
But the idea I loved the most was the precuror. I say we just scrap the whole idea of finding these weapons randomly and make us do a long quest line/story to earn our weapon with the precuror being around the middle of the story followed by us seeking a way to empower the blade for a big show down.
way I see it your hard pressed to get into a range fight with ranger not matter what class you are. Sure they can use melee weapon but most players make a ranger play at a distance.
As a D/D player who doesn’t do alot of PvP i’m a far cry from an expert but I found once you closed the gap (magetic grasp 2nd phase) it can really throw a ranger off his game.
or reflecting skills, few times I’v gotten a ranger down to half health while charging in
so basically the complaint is you have to be active in your fights instead of walking up, hitting auto and maybe 1 or 2 skills to kill mobs? I love the whole idea that you can’t run around mowing down groups like they are nothing. Here in the south players are the prey not the wildlife.
yes maybe a few things may bit off, but I’v seen this issue in every MMO to date free and subscription alike. I’m with Rengaru on this, the new enviroment does give off the feeling that everything is rushed (not graphic wise)
its obvious that the consortium is trying to cover up the dangers and make it look like a perfect resort tho i’m not sure how bird nest style platforms count as housing.
they have an option if in the setting that gives a target your moused over a red shaded boarder and npcs a green 1 but thats still not a really help when they get packed together.
They should have tab with a variety of setting. say 1 type being for dungeons which targets boss first, champions, then silver mobs, regular, ect ect. and let us pick 1. not this cycle through till you find the 1 your after.
at the moment they are the same, because exotics are the currently the top weapon. legendaries will always match the current top, so say they release ascended weapons, they will be upgraded to there.

since anet feel so inclinded to mess around with Riding The Lightning can we have something done about our Churning Earth issue in the same fashion. Tired of times i’m forced to pull out of an attack mid way, or get sucker punched by a mob and lose the whole cooldown.
Could we have in like RLT and only get the full cool down if it connects. I mean you give mobs and players enough time to put on some tea, have a nice chat and still walk out before we’re ready XD
this would rule in WvW
I’m on to your game, having someone throwing in innocent critters off screen just so you have high hits.
I wanna see them bring back the WP rez but with a slight difference, if your dead for so long then your allowed to WP rez
I’d love it they had some kinda system in place that prevented that player from not getting any credit but that would also effect the much more vast number of people giving up and having to find a replacement.
i’ll tell you whats down there, don’t you find is odd that this ‘island’ suddenly appeared… or that right off its shore line it suddenly drops straight down. its because were all on a giant turtles back!
there is gonna be pirates…. lots and lots of pirates.
Killing them twice isn’t really that bad, its that they seem to randomly evade 90% of attacks that gets annoying.
Especially with that wonderful lag during the final event, felt like bashing my head on the nearest wall would have been more productive.
there is a trick to help deal with lag, if you look straight down or into a wall (so maybe head banging would work…) and zoom on the ground cutting out as much detail and animations as possible your Frame rate will start rising.
gives off a frighting feel like poison ivy, or crab grass still very plant like but gives off the sense to be feared 8/10
My 3 sylvari names are
Storm Sapphire
Chaos Ruby
Twilight Emerald
i’m a 50/50 on this, I love the exotic nature of sylvari, but I also love a women with long legs and lets face is norns got that in spades
I’m still a strong believer in the elder dragon theory. It makes so much sense sylvari appear around the same time elder dragons appear. Like other dragon minions we are of a certain nature. They can’t be corrupted like others because 1 elder can’t over throw anothers domination. The Nightmare court have this evil, destroy and rule over the planet mind set because thats how sylvari were should be like and ventari’s tablet really did corrupt our souls and change our purpose and made us pure and innocent instead.
oh they have genders just like plants do. only difference is that unlike other races they don’t care about it. if you listen in on some conversations in the story and outside you’ll notice a decent number of same sex pairs. I think anet made sylvari with the mind set that sylvari view everyone equally and don’t judge on appearence by who they are as a person.
still waiting on a chiapet/bush style afro.
I’m yellow/white with a strong orange glow.
I’m not the only person who calls the lower back glow stripes “the sylvari tramp stamp” am I?
lol you kidding I make sure my shirt shows that off, I treat our glow like tattoos
if you think about it we do glow so its not hard to believe our surface layer isn’t more transparent then humans and with the luminating effect we give off our muscles would show through a bit.
anyone got a list of all the molten recipies? just wanna be sure I got them all before the supplie starts drying up
if my ele can’t fly forward consumed in the fires of hell burning all who stand in our way and then explode in a blaze of glory and not count as a blast finisher then your little exploding metals balls aren’t.
oh its simple, the turrets are intimdating…. if you get close enough you can hear them talking about the mobs momma’s
never understood why they needed that nerf in the first place. Was it so bad that players could DEFEND its walls? and that a Treb user had to take a few moments to chance the angle and hit somewhere the ele wasn’t.
Ok i’m looking for someone knowledgable with toughness for D/D
I’m currently using sentinel armor vitality/toughness/power putting me around 2225 armor with 17455 HP.
Is there really any difference from having it at armor 2060 with an 18605 HP?
or armor at 1836 with an HP of 15455?
is 200-300 armor to small to really make a difference when I slip up and get hit by something painful.
or is toughness really not gonna make a notable difference

Being no different from our current dungeons, is the problem. Doing the same thing over and over, fighting the same boss, using the same game mechanics, dodging the same big attacks, going to the same safe spots to dps, watching the same cut scenes, what fun!
sad but true for most games, thats why i’m hoping anet will get this idea about dungeons changing depending on things we do or don’t do. gives it a bit of flavor we can’t forsee in advance and prepare for.
I’v always found those videos funny, runs around like a squirrel on a sugar rush scratching and clawing at peoples eyes before making a ‘bolt’ for it only to circle around wide and do it again. I can almost hear their screams of terror when they realize its back. "not the eyes!, NOT THE EYES!
Yes, we need more PvE and killing damage sponge.
Nice idea and way to bring some flare and competitiveness to PvE/dungeons. But it becomes a grind and monotonous all too quickly.
its all up for debate, the keys are more of a sense of progress in a story the whole time limit idea is a hit or miss. my only concern was everyone gets a ton of keys (yes everyone would get 1) and suddenly no one would be running the start anymore.
its already happening with current dungeons, everyone sticks to 1 or 2 paths and nothing else.
you seemed to of missed the difference between WoW and Guild wars Turkashi. here we aren’t frantically clawing weekly for the chance at a weapon or armor that has upgraded stats that will put us back at the “standard” while everyone who standing even a slight chance of risking your chances are rejected (elitism)
Here we enjoy our runs. everyone gets token that we use to buy our gear after so many times, there is no need to run these for better gear its only purpose is to cater to people who want a challenge nothing is gained to make us better or stronger.
you must be the type that can’t stand the idea of doing something in larger groups. this is no different then our current dungeons only the ‘style’ of it is changing.

only thing I can suggest, avoid the tail and that evil range attack.
not to mention the fact your from Jade Quarry, imagine you guys already have several dozen commanders running around at any given time all barking orders XD
so if your personal is say 12 but you do a 10 you still having a chance at the ring at the end or does the personal level have to the 10.
Who else would love to see anet put in some kinda adaptive dungeon/raid?
Put some dark scary castle out there like karazhan from WoW had and make several different dungeons each one being treated as a path. 1 leading in a dungeon, another the main living area, secret lab, back yard graveyard, limitless ideas for this kinda place. and at the end of each dungon you could get a Key fragment with some kinda time limit, say a week or 2 (details can be hammered out but you get the idea) and it leads into the next stage of the castle (next dungeon/path) and at the end will be some world boss type of enemy
Now when I say raid i’m not talking the kind from WoW that was much much harder then regular dungeons I’m talking some big time exploreable dungeon that could take up to 10 or more players (or 2 groups). both teams well be working together or apart depending on the situation or even agaisted each other.
Example= Team A and B choose to split up at a hallway. Team A advances faster and reaches a room with several buttons and must pick 1 to open the door. Problem is 2 of the 3 buttons will cause something ELSE to happen (buttons are random).
Team A flips a switch and nothing happens. Mean while suddenly team B finds a surprise event is triggered behind of them by having a different door open releasing 2 champions who are now roaming the halls heading right for them.
Team B survives the ambush and finally reaches a different room similar to Team A’s also with 3 buttons. They pick 1 and nothing happens. Mean while Team A has reached the end of its journey and stands before a large door armed with a battle plan they prepared before hand having fought in this area several times. They enter ready to destroy their foe only to find that 1 of his experiments when wrong suddenly and he has mutated into some horror with only 1 thought. To feed.
Feedback?
well I don’t know about firing the staff, I do accept they are a much smaller team then other bigger MMO companies but the lack player view they have is gonna be GW 2 ultimate downfall.
what was wrong with the SAB formula you just showed us? it was perfect. We had 2 means of getting our items, run the dungeon a fix set of times to aquire the tokens needed for a skin or we lucked out. But you had to go and show us you had learned and improved yourself only to then go right back to the RNG only method thats we hate.
I feel like anet took a big step forward and jumped back even further.
wonder if this trick would work with race armors.
not sure why it got removed, is anet supporting this mesmer portal trick or something? I just laughed every time you sent a group flying over the edge, you can hear them almost screaming “wtf just happened”
I admit fire grab is not our greatest skill but its half decent if you know its flaws. when I first heard the name my first though was “Grab” and not a puff of fire. I almost feel like anet had another skill in mind and scrapped it for this but kept the name. every other skills name matches the skill ability/ animations so why not this one?
honestly I don’t see a really need for weapon swapping for us. Sure it be amazing but then we be nerfed so deep into the ground we never see light again because of our 40 skill options.
Wouldn’t mind a out of combat weapon swap but thats because i’m to lazy to switch between mobs. but it you really feel you must have some kinda swap then lets making it something like an large cooldown utlility or elite skill. that be the only way a ele’s weapon swap would even be possible without a major uproar.
I’m a D/D user and I’m attempting to figure out if I wanna aim more towards crit/precision or condition damage as my focus stat.
doesn’t sound like anet being to unfair. If this place is farmable then that means they are giving us a chance to find 1 and not run on blind luck with a fixed 12 runs.
not sure I could call it a exploit, that seems more like a tactic for fighting him for more melee heavy players/builds. if you want an exploit, the first bosses safe corner be a prime example.
$10.00 gets me a Frappucino and a cookie at starbucks that will last me for 10 minutes or so or it gets me an amazing pick that shoot lava and shet that will last forever and not take up any space in my inventory.
hehe you have the same thoughts as me. “hmmm nice pick axe” “regular playing” “buy a pizza this month or spend the money for something else…” a treats a treat, edible or not.
lets not even joke about this. first off Guildwars clearly states there is no trinity so why would we want a DPS meter? The aim of this MMO is a more balanced role game play. Everyone tanks, everyone heals and everyone does dps.
we don’t need this dps race mind set that WoW had, sure the more dps the better but the issue is the “dps standards” only keep rising till its reached a point of elitism and anyone who is unable to reach this level is cast away. CoF path 1 is already starting to get this problem with this 4 war zerk/ mesmer farm team requirement.
That being said and out of my system, I do agree that some kinda personal meter would be helpful. Nothing that shows how you ranked in group but more of a statistics chart. like average idle time in combat, time spend rezing/being rezed, average success dodge rate, dps per sec/min, wasted conditions things we can use to fix or even improve ourselfs and builds on
have to agree. my main is a warrior and it can get a bit dull at times so I use my ele alt as a way to make a more “lively” fight.
looking for some opinion on this build. The aim is to be a fairly rounded player for PvE and dungeons. dps when it possible, throw around some healing support/CC and still take a hit or 2 if things go bad.

there is a point. If we can show anet just how much we enjoyed this type of dungeon and why it will pave the way for future content.
I had the same thought. sure they aren’t exactly the same but for some reason that dredge’s suit just make me think of a large turtle. course then it flew and destroyed that image but those 2 were the first think that poped into my head.
