worth getting for my GS warrior?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Sigil_of_Blood
or am I better off using Omnomberry pie?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Omnomberry_Pie
ok so the feeling i’m getting is I wanna be aiming for around 35-50% unbuffed and then use fury and food buffs to up the percentage as I see a need.
I admit i’v always found it kinda funny how armor covers up so much detail. I run a sylvari and I can’t bring myself to cover up her hair, or skin/glow. yes we can dye are armor in amazing ways but it feels like a crime when you destroy those beautiful markings. lucky for me I found nice heavy set that shows off my characers back so people still get a good look at my glow/skin in the dark.
How about this? (From Guild Wars 1, sadly)
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Warrior_Elite_Gladiator_armor_f.jpg
I’d have to ask you where the armor was.
its got its ups and downs. the main concern I have is they become worthless and stop serving a purpose. what I would love to see is unknown giving random basic colors like red dye, blue dye, ect and it gotta be mixed and depending on how much red, or blue you mix will determine the chance of getting a darker or lighter purple color of the mix. and add a whole new level of dye creation.
this hopefully would reduce the insane prices of these rarer dyes that are hard to get down to a reasonable level so that people don’t feel like they have to pay an arm and leg just to get that desired armor style.
example= 2 red and a blue mixed would produce chance of getting a darker shade of purple then say you would get just adding 1 red and 1 blue.

I always thought that was the reason dodges default was to roll backwards unless you give it a direction.
I love the idea don’t get me wrong. only down side I see is if you use an unknown dye and get something you have and try to sell in in TP everyone will be doing the same because it will be 1 per account so once you have it you’ll never need it again making demand drop like a rock to a point it will worth less then trash.
its likely the WvW bonus. I’d had days I suddenly feel weaker/stronger and its almost always because of WvW
I keep a ranged weapon for various reasons, but the main idea is not every situation can be done with melee without high risk and i’m not afraid to admit I’m not always able to live up to the saying “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”
whats the ideal crit % to get the most out of it without over doing/wasting stats?
I know your pain but its still workable, some times you just have to use people. I’v had a few times I couldn’t see over the wall to tell where the bulk of the enemies are and just follow others targetting (other arrow carts) or just feel around till you see a big spray of damage numbers fly up. once you found them just see what side of the aoe has more and its save to asume they ran that way
be 10x easier to simple post you want a new guild in LA on your server

I got into a fractal group through posting on gw2lfg with 4 guilded people. We made it to maw then they kicked me after all the Jades died for their guild member because they want to level that guy up.
Its happened to me too, every time I get a group that way i’m always nervous when we get near the end.
I can see your issue. Its 1 thing to kick someone whose not able to handle the boss/dungeon but thats only after you’ve tried to correct the problem with some advise, tactics change, ect.
To kick someone out without any kinda warning after 1 fail tho is stupid. it could of been any number of reasons. but if had to guess he didn’t like your class,weapons/build.
personal I like to see gw2 use WOW tactic. kick to many times in a short period and you lose that ability for a while.
ya I wasn’t to sure on the sigil myself but being a shout warrior for so long it becomes painful when you go from so much removal to almost nothing XP
so I got myself an experimental GS build/setup and wanted some feed back. been living as a condition warrior mostly of the game and felt I needed to truly experience this GS obsession alot of warriors have for a while and get a true feel for the other side of the coin.
First off, there’s nothing legendary about them. Especially when they can be bought for cold hard cash.
Given that, RNG is so unfriendly, those that have a more “legendary” commitment to the game are not anymore likely to have the mats, let alone precursor as someone who is completely casual about their play.
Legendaries are a carrot on a stick, all designed to get people to pay real money for instead of acquiring through their commitment to the game.
You will have much more fun playing the game, pretending they don’t exist than chasing after RNG.
You think there are hoards of people out there who are willing to pay $2000-$3000 in real money to get imaginary pixels?
maybe not “hoards” but yes I can see a number of people doing just that.
swords suck!? tell me its not true, I’v pretty much lived off duel swords and won’t be quiting any time soon. most important thing to remeber NOTHING will out dps GS 100 blade burst so don’t punish yourself over it.
I find swords quite balanced.
1. we got a good condition stacking we don’t have to micro manage.
2. we got a good leap/distance skill.
3. a cripple skill.
4. a range bleed stacking attack that doubles as a powerful hit (love it when I see a 2-4k crit with it)
5. a block for those nasty big attacks. and even better if its traited to reflect range attacks
sure its not the raw power of the GS but even then I find sword does very reasonable damage. i’d had a number of auto attack’s 3rd strike doing nearly 2k damage while my GS with the exact same build is luck to get 1.4k for its big attack.
I would love if anet added a special trait line that was only based on water combat. doesn’t have to be big or complicated like the regular trait trees just 1-2 trait paths (one offensive, one defensive) and give us a reasonable amount of points that can only be used for those traits that we can use to fill up at 1 to the end.
Its pretty much a kick in the butt. “jump on in the waters great, only down size is where reducing your stats but not the enemies.”
Please for the love of puppies and kittens improve your forum search engine! it is pain stakingly annoying to be able to punch ikittenletters, maybe the word before i’m auto sent to matching threads that 95% of the time have NOTHING to do with my search
I really hate how I could put in the words “Condition damage” and end up almost complete filled with search results that have nothing to do with it. it will take me to different build threads that have that word in the post or to series of threads with the word damage used. It keeps forcing us to repost the same questions over, and over, and over because we are unable to find the previously asked 1’s
also it be nice if I could see more then the top 10-20 posts when at the bottom it tells me out of the search result of several hundred. I basically have to hit the jack pot to get the right posts.
I agree I’m very rarely watching my feet or looking for a pick up tag near the bottom of my screen when i’m in the middle of moving side to side, dodging and charging to notice the little bag at my feet. Its fine if its 1v1 but ikittenerg you lose sight of them instantly with all the skills and spells flying
think the moon idea would serve a better purpose as a long/short bow or shield (which has been sorta done)
make the bow’s arrows shooting stars
and the shield could show the different phases of the moon over a time period while the uncovered area glitters with stars.
1 idea i’m quite surprised they didn’t do was fists. I mean do we HAVE to duel wield or go 2 handed? what if I just want to be using a wand alone or or just use 1 sword.
Also some kinda throwing weapon would be nice, knifes, boomarang.
if there between 70-80 and not planning on using them, salvage them with a masters. sure not every one will give you ecto but imagine this. most rares sell for under 30 silver, and ecto can be 30 silver or higher. with a chance to get 1-3 each time. add in the extra material. and possible sigil. its not a bad profit.
or if you feel the odds are not in your favor sell them for the sure fire 25-30 silver.
kinda like the white look, alot of people use darker colors so you’ll stand out more
hard to say, when guild wars 2 came out I heard that legendary weapons will always be scaled with new weapons added later to make sure they stay at the top. no idea if this is true or changed (anyone able to confirm?)
I myself won’t mind getting 1 but I have no intention of power farming for the materials. Sure if the precursor zap were to land in my lap some where up the road that might change but for now I am quite happy with my warriors dueling wielding Jormags breath and firebringer. not legendary but still bad kitten to be waving around red and blue fire swords.
so whose enjoying this “new and improved” air elemental
so thats why I’v always felt like I never seemed to have enough toughness in dungeons when other warriors are around, it been those kitten lvl 80 food buffs that have been keeping their life so high.
so we’ve heard alot of complaining and disapointment for this patch. but what did you guys feel good came out of it.
I salute you rangers for your ability to take blow after blow. but once they make your pets smart and stronger then a wet paper bag. you will be a force to be fear.
The fact that the ranger relies so heavily on the pet is a problem that has to be adressed really. In WoW a ranger was best with a pet but could still function without one. In gw1 a ranger funtion with out one, in this game not so much.
ya when it came down to it, a pet served 3 purposes.
1. cosmetic, which we know anet loves
2. skill variety, pets had that lovable option of giving hunter a situational change without being forced to change there game style completely= which anet has done rather well i’ll admit.
3. Our first line of defence. pets had a simple job, get attention. they didn’t have to hit them hard, they didn’t have to kill on their own. they simple had to hold mobs attention for a short period of time for us to get the job done.
hard to say how popular a game really is. however I will note I am quietly look and waiting for any other possible new MMO’s at this time.
@Kalowg— 4.5 gold an hour! (clinchs to your leg) teach me oh great one.
(blocks warriors character selection) BACK YOU ANIMALS (swings a broom)
I will never allow the whole game to turn warrior! we are a noble class, first we were mocked because our dungeon performance was playing dead in the dirt for most of it but whos laughing now! The rest of you are the mocked while WE worked through sweat and tears to become what we are now. …. plus I hate playing classes that are over used.
know the feeling, i’ll admit I didn’t start as a warrior, but after about 1-2 weeks of trying different classes warrior just seem to “click” with me despite all the warning my guildies were giving me about how bad it was in the higher levels. I’v never regreted it and never will.
of course its not a thick forest, when you got a tree like the pale tree sucking up who knows how much nutrients from the soil a second. I’m surprised there is any plant life near it XD
pretty sure its anyone in range, alot of aoe heals are that way.
I have 2 characters and oddly I don’t see many other with similar colors
I got 1 red female with a orange glow
and a purple female with a green glow
here this should help give people an idea if it be possible or not
This has always plagued my mind, when did warriors go from being the class no one wanted in dungeons because we “downed” to easy, to being the more prefered class to bring we are now.
and who else here was a dedicated warrior in that chaotic time when we had prove our worth.
Makes sense, stops people from farming multiple servers.
This questions more for my curosity but, what color is your blood. None of you take enough damage for me to figure that out Xp
personal I just avoid it, if I’m downed and alone its pretty much me going “ok unless I rally from killing with my stones i’m dead.”
Its not ideal i’ll admit but i’v seen worse down skills.
personal I’d wish it was something a little more like the guardian. why not have us give off something like “final howl” and make it a quick 1-2 second shout fear
I’m looking for a comparison on my current toughness and armor numbers. my aim is to find a good spot where I got enough to be able to take some hits without going over board and wasting stats I could be putting into DPS
toughtness=1234
armor=2445
edit- also note my vit is 1755 making it 28,368 hp at level 80
(edited by Chaotic Storm.2815)
plus is be a nice way to feed supplies to keeps that are being isolated or in the middle of trying to be build up.
i’m also a duel wielding sword warrior, I love condition damage as much as the next but you also gotta look at the low point. its good solo but the min you try to join in with others who also use bleeds you’ll find yourself luck to get 1/3 of your usual bleeds out. which can effect your dps big. my advise, don’t plow in only condition stats, find a good balance of direct and condition.
also don’t be afraid to be pure conditions if thats what you like, anything works in this game so play as you want and not how others expect you too.
(edited by Chaotic Storm.2815)
way i’f understood warriors from other peoples remarks over the months are we are the closest to exactly how anet wanted us and all the other classes are nerfed, buffed around us trying to move them in closer. why else have we had several patchs and warriors have been barely touched or skipped for nerfs or buffs.
who else here would love it if we had the option of putting supplies back into the keeps.
