You give me some of those “you got owned” pills that thieves and other people seem to be using and will talk. Nothings more of a turn off for me then being 1 shot in the back over and over again by something I have no way of detecting. Least WoW gave me a chance but here.
A MMO without grinding, not even remotely possible. sure you can control it in some small degree but it will always been there.
I’m pretty sure the reason this Mystery Mr E is named so is because he’s a Mystery (pun intented)
I think your giving the zenith skins to much credit. I’v yet to see any 1 easy access skin dominate the population players, there are far to many different players with styles, tastes and theme for people to sit on 1 skin. sure there might be alot of like the mystic crystal look (mostly casters I imagine) but within a few weeks/months a new flavor of the week wil be found.
Did we really need a new fire piece? I would of loved the idea more if it had been Radiant Vambraces and Shadow Vambraces?
well what good is an armor if we can’t dye it? hell if I plan to look like a copy a bunch of others.
I wonder what it would be like if we can use Dagger as a main and scepter as an off hand instead of s/d
I find path 1 is the easiest because you simple stack under him and your fine. long as you can corner him the fight is pretty simple on all paths.
my problem has been more of the major over shooting that sents me rolling along hitting the ground over and over till I die.
you sir have just felt the pain of the common critter in gw2.
think it even says in the introduction that they come down only so often for the trading before leaving (back up into the sky)
normally I’m not so bad with 1 or 2 achievements that require some level of pvp but lets face it. OS is the breeding down of gankers because its the 1 place they know non-pvpers will have to go sooner or later and no one can resist a free kill.
alot seem to be is obvious hiding places, a dark corner here, the roof there….and of course a few hidden at the bottom of a cliff sides….
I was just wondering how it was possible to get up there. good to know nothing is at the top. which is kinda surprising.
there was a show? I just got there saw the assistant standing by himself and sudden I got an achievement.
Not sure what the problem is. Sure there are a good number of crystals that require a bit of skill but the elements do most of our work. Hell I when to a normal JP after doing 2 hours of elemental jumping and I thought I was gonna die from how bad I suddenly got.
Its pretty simple.
1. jumps straight up and all you have to do is push the foward button.
2. aim straight. click once, click again to spot.
3. Point and click.
If they did make a raid in gw2 it would be intereting for gear so long as they keep the token system. so even if people aren’t able to finish it so long as they can do part of it they will make progress. just much slower.
~ ~ 3 000 000 bought the game.
~ ~ 60% no longer play it.
~ ~ 15% don’t play it actively/think quitting (less than casual – log in once in a month to see nothing has changed)
~ ~ 20% play it casually.
~ ~ 5% something .I’d say maybe, 200 000 – 250 00 people still play the game.
~ Maybe 10 000 – 15 000 max at peak hours. No source, I’m just making an assumption based on what I know and see in game while paying PvE and PvP.
feels like that at times. this game has gone down to non challenging world boss farming and craft farming.
Tho 1 thing you didn’t account for is SPvP and WVWVW. I got the feeling thats where alot of the players are collecting because at least there it feels a bit like endgame.
I don’t think there a way to really avoid the grab other then predicting it course that’s easier said then done when your more focused on avoiding beams.
Fight is amazing to say the least. its not some crazy boss that is impossible to do. I love how this fight is more about mechanics and environment.
Well Anet after giving us a beautiful Al system in Rox and Braham I am quite disappointed in Ellen. She is joining the ranks of Dungeon NPC’s whose life is spent face first in the mud 90% of the time.
first time in a while I actually enjoyed being killed. I have yet to beat him but I can say the mechanics are amazing. Tho I would of liked if it was 1 golem at round 3 not 2.
I would of made it so 3 golems start up in the 1st wave rotations, 2 the 2nd and 1 the 3rd .
Its nothing just you. I too feel the hits are very weak compared to land attacks but part of its the skills themselves. I find fire is useless. those molten orbs barely scratch an enemy and take forever to explode to deal the real damage. the fire aoe is nice tho.
My main damage is ironically water, the weaker of the land skills. Must be because we’re being super charged by being in the very element itself.
Sure torment seems to work against the main idea of moving but you could use the same logic to say the conditions like cripple, chilled, and immobilize are also designed to contradict the games core combat. Only problem I see with torment is the fact that not every class has instant and regular free access to condition removing.
I would agree with you, except that torment, as I understand it, causes damage when you’re standing still, and double damage if you’re moving…the way this differs from other conditions like cripple/chilled/immobilize, is that those conditions: a) don’t cause damage in and of themselves, they only limit mobility, and b) they don’t penalize you for moving if you are able to cleanse the condition.
Ok that changes thing a bit, I never actually looked at the finer details of torment myself but if its like that then it does seem a bit off. course we won’t really know its true effects till the patch, for all we know its will be like a 1 stack of bleed weak and annoying but nothing life threatening alone.
As for nerfs that’s a complaint I’v had with this game for a long time. Hate making a comparison to WoW but at least when blizzard made changes they took bold steps to buff/nerf skills and if it didn’t work out a quick flip of the switch as it was back to its old way for more tweaking. But Anet has this baby step mind set that drives me up the wall, and once they have done a change it takes months before they do anything about it.
The fact it was only 1 weekend seems stupid. It should of been every weekend through out the month least then people would of had more chances.
I’d love if we had a living story event that when multiple ways and depending on our choices ended a certain way and depending on what path had more players would result in that being the end result.
example being 2 factions going to war for a piece of land. everyone would pick a side with its own story line and at the end what every side has more player support will be the faction to win and become permanent.
It would give players a sense of pride knowing they helped make it happen or being a scar on our pride knowing we lost the war, in both situations we would have an emotional involvement with that change in content.

and with that you have used up your supply of luck for the next….10 years.
if you think about it fire aura is the only one that doesn’t make sense. sure it gives a very minor burn and can be used to stack might but name 1 ele who can jumps forward to get HIT MULTIPLE TIMES thats like the exact opposite of any other aura
earth= reflect
water= slow
air= dazeAura’s are shields, who came up with a hair brain skill to throw our squishy kitten into the line of fire for a small boost we will likely waste laying on the ground.
Dagger main hand usually does that.
Namely, burning speed.
I mixed my words there a bit, I meant in terms of getting hit on purpose so you could get the might. seems the exact opposite of keeping our squishy bodies out of harms away.
rule 1 of guild wars 2 we don’t talk about guild wars 2.
rulle 2 you don’t fight like other mmo and stand still hoping you’ll hit harder then them. you must keep moving.
without any information my only advise is this. finish leveling and learn
you know this is some range class whining about not be close enough to melee to get shout buffs and doesn’t wanna leave their lazy spot at max range and expects to be getting amazing buffs so they can do even more damage and look better while the guys in the front line give up their survival utility.
is it really that hard to immobilize them? I’m sorry for people who are mad that they have to do more then spam random skills till the ele dies. Also, if your in a zerg fight who the hell cares if an ele jumps down into the zerg outside the door. What are they gonna do? cast some kinda instant mega nuke before 2-3 peoples one shot their squishy bodies? sounds more like a suicide jump to me.
Also if they are doing thakittens wasting their time being downed and also other players trying to rez them when they could be attacking.

I can hear them, the bells slowly chipping away at my sanity.
I actually have to agree with you. Its always us playing the same side over and over.
why don’t we get a story event where we have to pick a side and follow its story path, and at the end we get some kinda pvp event? (if you choice to join in that)
What happened to the days when an achievement felt like something. whats with all this every day stuff earning us points I feel like i’m being spoon fed these points with no actually effort.
where are the achievements for killing so many creatures in a set time, killing a boss in some crazy fashion. Speed running a jump puzzle. where are the actually achievements we can be proud of?
Wasn’t that the point of achievements in the first place to be something we could show of and say “hey look what crazy thing I managed to pull off”
Elementalist through and through. find it harder to get bored with a class that can do both melee range attacks if I get the craving with D/D or if i’m in those moods I feel the need to be more then a damage machine I got staff. if I wanna be more defencive I can throw on a focus. Sure i’m not a master of 1 thing but who needs a 1 trick pony?
this might just be me but does anyone else hope will get some kind of epic boss fight that requires us to be jumping from air ship to air ship chasing him/her or avoiding him/her as they destroy the ship we were on?
I’d even settle for it being a type of jumping puzzle like the clock tower was. Fast paced.

I admit the RNG was handled much better this time. no idea what the gem stores improved rich coffers are like but at least I know its a step up from the regular RNG chests we can find for free. Now I’m not so mad if I go thought a few 100 and get nothing because it didn’t cost me anything.
and for anyone who didn’t deal with the RNG up to now. imagine having to buy all those and still get nothing.
So did anyone get a really good look at the invading pirates and their very interesting selection of steam punk style weapons and armor?
Most notable I found was the spinning fan shield, scythe Hammer, and Rapier

I’d love a fight that actually feels like I’m fighting a dragon, tail swiping, flying around and dive bombing us, breathing fire (or whatever) in large area spelling current doom for anyone caught.
wow suddenly I feel like I hit the lotto by only losing 1-2 gold for the achievement.
I was more impressed that they made coffers drop off everything with a decent rate. sure the holos have a better chance but even for people not grinding for them they can still a large pile just doing regular stuff.
now if only coffers didn’t have that mind numbing low RNG % that lets only a micro fraction of them give anything other then candy.
I think the problem with how anet does changes.
Anet is determined to make both PvP and PvE balance perfectly together. Which as we all know from other PvP mmo’s is like catching the wind with your hands.
Sooner anet accepts that if it wants to make the classes the way they want it they are gonna have to make changes that only effects 1 side. then they can cater to the peoples needs.
there was a video I saw a long time ago on youtube that explained ele kitting and just from that I learned how to avoid about 70% more attacks while still killing.
I picked a girl for several reasons.
1. If I must watch my character run around from behind for several hours, that kitten WILL be sexy
2. when I first through about it I had horrible visions of men in dresses/robes.
3. Big fan of Slayers. Enough said.
you know if they do that might mean losing traits we currently have. least how Anet works that’s the most likely result.
I would love it if we had a trait that adapted to our current weapons.
Daggers- Gain X increase in Speed/Damage
Focus- Gain X Vit/Toughness
Scepter- Gain X burst damage
Staff- Gain X condition damage
something along those lines
.
Oddly the axe is one of the better ones to me, its got ‘attitude’. Just wish axe abilities on most character where better, id wield 2.
have to agree the axe just have an air to that says “don’t kitten with me”
might have to do with the fact is made mostly of jade and doesn’t have some weird sharp like swords and daggers
