There’s another angle to look at the ANet offer. Veterans get more from HOT because they are given a choice – get a new account with HOT or continue on their existent account with HOT. New players does not have that choice. So veterans actually get the better end of that deal.

No, you do not have to throw anything. It is just a preorder, you do not have to buy it now. You do not even have to buy it when HoT is released. You will continue to get patches and QoL changes, just not story updates. Also as i said, veterans receive the ability to choose., nothing about whether the options are good or bad.

Since the beginning the plan was to have a gem store that generates revenue and there won’t be a need for an expansion. There was not a shift at some point that introduced the gem store. Am i missing your point?

I am ignoring it because that’s just speculations. ANet decided to update their game without expansions, at some point they decided to offer an expansion. You can say 3 years, i can say 3 months, only ANet employees know the exact number.

Yes, that is why i do not buy prorders. You get the preorder if you want to play in betas, nothing else. Nobody is forced to buy the expansion now to continue playing the core game.

People have already playtested, and nothing much has been tested besides what Anet has promised. It is incredibly unlikely that Anet will give 50% more of what HoT already provides, otherwise they would have revealed.

No “veteran” player said anything when the game was 10$ but now it is a problem. Just saying.

P.S. I believe that 50$+ core game/char slot should be the norm. I do not believe that new players getting the game for free would affect my game negatively at all.

They already stated its not a stand alone or as big as the core thus negating the $50 price tag.

Now core + expansion for $50 is a great deal and we ALL applaud them for that. The raw deal we vets get is inexcusable though.

Just so you know – the expansion is smaller and cheaper than the core game so by your logic it is not negating.

While we’re at it – Lets stop the support for all the community held tournaments. Supporting the community will not increase it, i thought Anet knew that.

This is a beta test on ONE thing. 6 hours should be enough to get info on the hub and if it’s working. If you had 6 hours and the whole HoT to test then i would be dazzled at ANet decision, but its just a portion of a portion of the expansion.

Do you have information that this will be the ONLY beta test you’ll be able to participate? If not i don’t understand your complains.

I believe that the 2nd and 4th point will be addressed with the expansion. I can only hope for a surprise about the other 2. Maybe even a feature update while we wait for HoT.

You are saying the zerg will split in 3 groups but what’s the incentive for defenders to split? If defenders are not splitting the zerg will stay together and we’ll have the same fight as we have now.

People not liking the map should stop commenting as “the whole community”. The number one complaint i’ve seen in WvW has been about blobs. ANet is trying to give us exactly that.

The new map is amazing and it looks fun. Can’t wait to play something new for a chance.

They said that for now it’s 5v5. Depending on the feedback they might change the team numbers.

Didn’t they say they’re not sure about how much player will be allowed in stronghold as well? They mentioned about 5 up to 10 people on each side. But putting it together in one que wouldn’t only be the most kittened thing ever, it would also imply that they lied to us regarding the teamsize. If they want to add it to the current que they have already settled on 5vs5 or am i wrong? (I’m personally fine with 5vs5, just trying to add some salt).

Another point i would like to bring up is the strength of the defensive NPCs. Why would you even bother getting some archers if the NPCs can be taken down in a few seconds by a shoutbow warrior spamming autoattacks?

I believe they said they have tested everything from 5vs5 to 10vs10 and decided to choose 5vs5 for ranked/unranked. You can play with bigger teams in custom arenas. They’ ve also said that Nothing is set in stone yet and if the feedback they get leads to bigger teams they will do it.

You are given the option to choose the path of your journey. Eventually you will have all the masteries and you will be able to get anywhere.

I’m having trouble killing mines engis. They stack conditions so quick (torment and 5 stacks of confusion are the deadliest) and it happens almost instantly when we start a fight. This i can handle, i have signet of renewal, but 5 secs after using it and i’m already stacked with conditions. Is there a way to kill them?

I’m a celestial spirit ranger using SB/Sword/Torch and 0/0/6/6/2 with Emphatic bond .

What part of not “optional” do people not get from fractal 50. 70 AR is not OPTIONAL.

Fractals are a kind of dungeon run. Dungeons are like the very definition of grinding. You run them over and over.

I’ve done dungeons maybe like 5-10 times in the history of the game release and I’m doing fine playing all the non-grind content with my exotic non-ascended gear.

You say 70 AR is not optional. But fractals level 50 is very optional, lol.

If you play dungeons or fractals you are CHOOSING to grind. You can always choose to play something non-grindy.

Thus: Grind not required.

By this logic WoW, SWTOR or TESO are also “no grind” games

Everything is on the same level in GW2, while in the other games raiding is the final point.

I see a lot of mentioning about this other MMO game that is triple the size of GW2. Their expansions are 2 years apart. In their last update the only NEW things they received were – 7 new zones and their version of player housing(mind you – no raids at the start). Yet it is considered one of their best expansions. It costed around 400$ if you played the whole time.
Here we are getting one new map, guild halls, new pvp mode , new profession and mastery system. Yet it is not enough.

Lol, take it easy. You probably have more victories over SFR but SFR won against VIz a lot as well. Also don’t talk about SFR like you know it, we were always proud to be one of the best open field combat servers and it was true before the league started.

As i said before , ER dont got the coverage to get 2nd place. But SFR did some calculating:

SFR 21 Points + 5 This week +1 next Week ( if vizu + Piken double Team them again) = 27
JS 19 Points + 3 This week + 5 next week = 27

So in the End they decided , they didnt want to share 2nd Place overall with JS and judging on their strength compared to JS, they are probably right.

Your math is right, you are just mistaken on one thing. We are not doing this because we don’t want to share second place with JS but because letting JS 2nd this week would mean than Piken would get the Bronze reward. And there is no way we’ll allow them to get any reward.

JS right now is merely a collateral damage from the bief between Piken and SFR.

If JS and Piken are ex-aequo, Piken cant have Bronze reward (4th place).

You just make up my day. I was wondring why we got such a focus from SFR and came here (the non-tie reason sound a little light after all the posts about the scandal of double focus). If that is the reason than you might understand that you are doing the opposit of what you wanted?

If the last match-up ends up as the first one, and Jade Sea finish last in the current match-up, then the final ranking will be:
1) Vizunah
2) SFR
3) Pikens, Jade Sea and (very likely) Baruch Bay (triple tie)

This three servors will tie for third place and get all the rewards. As a positive side I think that third place is perfectely deserved for Pikens

Jade Sea would more deserve fourth place (with Baruch Bay), and still get third place (being from Jade Sea this is already good in my opinion).

Now if Jade Sea finish second in the curent match-up (and it ends as it began), then the final ranking will be:
1) Vizunah
2) SFR & Jade Sea (tie)
— no third
4) Pikens and Baruch Bay

I wish Jade Sea could have the second place, but I reconize it would be very unfair to Pikens.

Moreover in the first case Pikens will have good reasons to try to do a remake of the first match-up, Vizunah too. Wich would very likely mean that it will hapen. On the other hand, in the second case Pikens might be far more imprevisible (I have no idea of what would happen).

Basically this hard time means that in the end Pikens will get there right place and that the one beating us to it are curently doing the opposit of what they want. Very funny in my opinion.

You seem to forget that on the last mu SFR will be 2pts ahead PS. IF VZ and PS decide to really double team you, both SFR and PS will be #2.

Thats assuming that SFR come first this round. RS are doing pretty well at the moment and with a bit of help from PS, if PS concentrated all their attacks on SFR and allowed RS to get all the points, then RS could come first, SFR second and PS third. This would mean, presuming that the following weeks panned out ok for both servers that PS would beat SFR by 2 points at the final count.

To stop this happening SFR would have start attacking RS to gain points, which would then give PS the chance to break the 2 v 1 and come second this week which would still mean they would win overall.

Either way it would be tactially a better option to just help RS at the moment. While trying not to fall too far behind. Then wait until you see how SFR respond.

RS has numbers only at prime time. They cant compete with SFR for points.

I wanna say thank you to all SFR guys who enrage about PS.

PS is a medium populated RP server and we don`t pay guilds to join our server.
To see you guys from SFR take a RP server so serious that you even type you hate PS, and that in gold league, makes me proud to be on PS.

Also that some of you type you wanna double team us all week shows you think your server is not strong enough to win over us in a fair fight. Another reason to be proud to be on PS.

thats funny cause i heard piken payed sparta to move back to piken and piken isn’t a medium populated server its high which doesnt mean all that much cause there are 5 very high populated servers not even in the gold league if anything it means piken has a higher % of wvw players in the server than higher populated servers. So we have more pve players what good is that if anything its a detriment cause when they join wvw and fill up the queues all our guilds start leaving cause they cant raid and we have no one on ts or people who would rather cap ruins all day for achievements.

Some Sfr people even called the matchup Week 43 against 2 German Server " revenge " after the beating they got in Week 42. Thats how confused they have been.

In the End the real reason why they wouldn`t get the Crown in W3 Season 1 isn`t PS its Vizu. Doesnt matter if Pike " steal " 2 points from them in Week 42 , because Vizu will win all matchups in the End and show those 2 points wouldnt have made any difference at all.

So there are PS trolls also. I don’t think you’ll be persistent as SFR’s ones though but don’t give up.
