The idea here is simple. I’m going to list some of the most popular WvW foods and their effects, and I’d like to know what everyone believes is the most Zerg v. Zerg-effective food to feed the zergs/pugs with. :> Cost is not a factor here.

Tray of Omnomberry Compote
100% to gain health when you kill a foe (unsure of the exact amount)
+70 Healing Power

Pot of Lemongrass Poultry Soup
-40% condition duration
+70 Vitality (700 health)

Tray of Omnomberry Pie
66% chance to steal life on Critical (325 life steal)
+70 Precision (~3.3% crit chance)

Tray of Mango Pie
Gain 85 health every second (affected by “Healing Effectiveness Increase” WvW buff)
+70 Vitality (700 health)

If you can think of any other highly popular WvW trays/pots, let us know. I’m really just curious to see what people think of feeding each of these foods to the pug masses.

BG is PvX heavy (most of which are PvE-focused, mind you), not WvW heavy. SoR has us sorely out-guilded WvW-wise, whether our overall population is higher or not. Takes 5 minutes of pulling guilds off the top of your head to realize that.

That said, this alliance should transfer to T2, not T1. T1 has enough people as it is and T2 needs some seriously balancing help.

So that we can’t abuse things like double Shield of Wrath, double Leap of Faith, double Binding Blade, double Ring of Warding, double Line of Warding… etc.

Probably true as I’ve never seen Indo actually get into a 1v1, are you sure it was an actual duel or was it one of those “look at me I’m solo and looking to gank stragglers type fights”?

You must have missed the big duel event back before SoR started becoming a social and civil embarrassment to the man the server’s named after (except Choo and CDS)…

T2 was a simpler time.

BG stomped us into the ground entirely and then went to cap JQ’s Garri day after day, last week. JQ didn’t -need- to double team us after the weekend, DB was basically a non factor.

Yet BG steamrolled JQ as well. Is this what usually happens in tier 1?

Sorry bud, I know certain Choo members have the weirdest fun bumps for hunting me down, but I’d be happy with just a few more weeks of different servers and guilds to fight than the ones I’ve been zerg v zerging and dueling with since I started doing WvW.

I don’t get this. Do BG just like ROFLstomp winning all the time? Sometimes I get the feeling that BG just don’t like a challenge. They get so hurt and defensive when they aren’t in the lead, and, honest to god, bring out all the excuses in the book. What exactly don’t you like about this match up?

This is the feeling I get, but I know this is far from the truth. There are some great people in BG and I wish that it were these people who were exemplified in the forums rather then these QQing kitten measuring forum warriors. It’s like they think this is a soap box for them to bloody moan and whinge.

If you don’t like the match up, go ahead and transfer somewhere else. Nothing is stopping you.

It might be that fighting the same guilds and people with the same strategies for 5 solid months gets old. I’m certainly not about to abandon my guild or server though.

A lot of us don’t have it yet because we don’t want to lose our footsteps >< I understand having to prioritize though.

SoR is losing rating because they can’t handle TC to the “highly skill-oriented” extent that they should. ^^ It’s a server problem, not a system problem. Tiers are also hardly a thing.

Unless Crystalline Dust continues to crash really hard, items like Superior Sharpening Stones will probably maintain their current spike in price and may even start to get even more expensive. They were already difficult to restock on due to their already-high prices, especially for WvW players who by default make somewhat less from their playtime.

Does anyone else feel the same way, or do you believe the prices will stabilize?

All of this summed up: if you can’t handle a low health pool supplemented by numerous blinds, blocks, and regenerative abilities, play something else (besides a Thief).

We were here to talk about Guardians’ health pool, right?

He doesn’t say anything. He’s just innocently floating right in front the path, blocking your way to the exit. Once the players get into range, he just calmly lifts his hand, then proceeds to instantly kill them with Spectral Agony.

Once everyone is dead, it fades to a black screen. The scene fades back into a cut scene of the LS hero reviving you.

It would be a fun way of introducing the players, who didn’t play gw1, to the Mursaat. With horrible horrible death.

Uh, try a perfect introduction. I think I’ll cry if the Mursaat/Seers are only part of a temporary 2-4 week Living Story shindig though… Like, legit cry.

I agree, seeing where things are from GW1 on a GW2 brings up a lot of questions. Konig has done a good job on coming up with some ideas on the name changes and I agree with most of them.

As for no ruins in some of them, you have to remember some of those places in GW1 were only wooden structures, which 250 years is plenty of time for them to be gone without a trace. But most areas match up good with either some ruins or a new settlement on top of them.

The day will come when the Mursaat return. I’m in denial that only Lazarus survived, so.

That said, nobody in the modern era is Ascended/has the gift of True Sight, and who’s to say the fractal “infusions” will work against Spectral Agony? Can’t wait to see what kind of fresh hell the Mursaat can put the world through when they come back.

I think they fact that we even have one build that can deal without any Vitality from gear (at all) is saying something for why it isn’t “unfair.”

The only Vitality I had for a long time was the 300 from traits and 70 from food. Absolutely 0 Vitality gear. We have so much synergy with health regen and so many ways to avoid damage via blocks, blinds, and whatever else…

You should probably buy them now. They’re only going to go up. People like to imagine them being reintroduced, but like many things from the past (here, in other games, and in reality), they’re gone.

Crucible of Eternity, Subject Alpha. This being has the appearance of multiple corruptions. Multi-corruption was never stated to be impossible, but it was used as a stance to point towards the sylvari being Elder Dragon minions (because of their immunity to corruption).

Is it possible that such phenomenon can only be achieved through the use of magitech or similar? Perhaps the dragons themselves cannot corrupt the minions of others; perhaps there need to be additional, artificial factors… Ah well.

Earlier in this thread, it was mentioned that we’ve seen corruption of single beings by multiple dragons — or to phrase it differently, we’ve seen that corruption from one dragon does not stop corruption from another.

I was under the impression that multi-corruption was impossible. Can anyone explain to me where we’ve seen this?

I suggest reaching 80 and figuring out for yourself why going “full DPS” means having very little to no survivability until you’re very good at doing what you do. Then come seeking build advice. Just my humble two copper.

Orbs were and would again be a scourge upon this game. The top servers in blowout match-ups (the majority of them) shouldn’t be rewarded even further for absolutely destroying their competition all week.

Control in PvE is more about peeling mobs off of your squishier party members, which you can do primarily by just doing more damage, or pulling them with your GS #5 skill, or dropping walls in front of them or something.

But yeah, area denial isn’t a big deal in PvE. WvW on the other hand…
