I have it and it’s killed my morale to use my ranger. Rainbows was kinda cute, the unicorn bow, meh fine with me. But this? you cannot be serious.

it’s fabulous – especially with flame citadel heavy armor.
It was fine as is, if anything it missed footprints like other ones had. The unicorn is poor quality and is to big … But hey, that’s just me. I hate using it now.

I really like WvW but it’s stale, nothing has changed that much since release. I want a new feature that makes the content interesting again, like titles you can work towards similar to what WoW vanilla had, Knight, Private ect. This is just an example obviously, but I want something new.
The one thing that they’re thinking of nerfing, AoE. Remove the cap.
I’m sure they’d like to be able to, because it would make lots and lots of money. But it wont happen </3

Footprints + revert the changes made from last patch. I’m sorry but anyone who is in favor of it doesn’t use it. I think it was a little to far.
As said earlier by critickitten, Guild Wars 2’s window is shutting quickly and it needs to make a mark on the MMO community. bravoart is right also, everything is fine since GW2 is buy to play, but what happens when the same issues are around when there is an expansion? Or are we no longer suppose to think about the future … That’s the problem, People who are complaining now are afraid for the future of the game, not just now. They have a right to be worried.
The rainbow is still there, just faint. It now shoots a giant horse (unicorn) with a faint rainbow trailing it. I miss the much more visible rainbow
Faint+You don’t notice it unless you look. It doesn’t count as the old rainbow to me now. It’s confusing, we could have the foot steps similar to twilight, the red puddles that reflect but instead it could be a pearlescent rainbow, same design team that made it, wouldn’t be that hard, right? Instead we got a clip art unicorn. I guess I’m just a sour puss but this was beyond mind boggling.
I honestly don’t know why the effect was changed. I was under the impression we would get something good, like foot steps like almost all the other legendary items have. I would be interested in the thought process behind redesigning the effect. It went from a smooth, not mind blowing but interesting effect to a unicorn that looks like something someone would find in clip art. I don’t understand it.
So a Thief using his only means of defence that still leaves him vulnerable to any attack (he’s still there, he’s just not visible and has nothing in the way of invulnerability) is unacceptable, but any other profession using skills that make them completely untouchable and unstoppable (ACTUAL invulnerability) while finishing is perfectly fine?

This. Apart from stability+quickness stomping which you’re still in harms way, Invis stomping you cannot be targetted. There has to be a drawn back from invis stomping, but there is not.

The Dreamer doesn’t even have foot prints. Every time I see someone with Bitfrost, I notice it immediately, I have the LOOK for The Dreamer on people. I think it’s fine.

Good job ANet, I like the unicorn effect “The Dreamer” has, but I’d still like a trail effect like most other legendary items have, just saying.

Why would you make one of the poorest features in the game a requirement for daily?
As for crafting, that is just pointless. Most people would probably just cook 10 loaves of bread. I certainly am not gonna spend gold to craft items, just for the sake of daily.
I’m confused why you’re complaining about 10 crafts when you gave yourself a cheap method of getting it done.
Thief+Mesmer portal is over powered only due to culling. Even then, maybe they could be toned down a bit, but culling is the issue.

I’m sorry but that isn’t a nice way of enjoying your weekend. I just think this is an underlying problem. While I agree with you, a casual player or even just a not very skilled player shouldn’t be punished for bad mechanics. But that’s just my opinion.
before complaining, try to do it and see how easy it is to move inside a keep with guards and ppl looking for you.

Try spending 15 minutes running around Hills trying to track down something that is invisible and can move faster than you then come back and tell us how much you enjoyed it.
Even a backstabbing noob thief can hide effectively inside the keep as their mobility allows them to escape even when seen.
Players shouldn’t have to be forever throwing aoe all over the place just on the off chance it actually hits the thief (in any situation).
Until they fix stealth so that it slows you down (you know, STEALTHY instead of completely invisible at mach 10) thiefs will continue to be completely OP and broken in wvw.
Lets try this again from a more tactical view.
You are chasing thieves, who can’t actually get people inside a base even if they are inside and invisible so why chase them for 15minutes?. You should camp the mesmer body instead since thats the target he needs to get to, he has to come to you and if the body is gone then he is useless.
If you catch a thief he is lower in dmg and stats than you and has less skills he can use to defend himself, if you net him he cant stealth away and run, if he shadow refuges you aoe the circle and he loses stealth
You can see him put down AoE rings to stealth, every 4 seconds at the most he has to put another down so its easy to spot where he is going.
I can kill thieves on characters half the level of those thieves they are so messed up in traits and skills.
Tactics solve all problems.

I’m against anything involving Mounts, GW2 has done well avoiding them to begin with.
I think for the most part it’s fine, although eventually it could get bad for beginners.
I would be surprised if the Ele were given a portal. They have probably the best mobility in the game which many are complaining is a problem, this would just add even more.
My bet is on Necro, Engineer, or possibly Guardian

Absolutely not. They already can hide in keeps for a long time. This is guild wars 2, not hide and go seek online. As said above, Engineers would be a good choice, maybe necromancers also.

One of the big things people have complained about is thieves and this is an indirect buff to them because AoE is one of the only things that can counter the culling/invis issue, not to mention some classes like elementalist is forced to use AoE.

The forums is not an adequate representation of the player base. Important fact, almost no-one I know or play with comes on the forums. When mentioning “did you see on the forums” I usually get snide remarks about why I would spend any time reading that dribble. The outrage and en masse complaints in this thread is exactly why. A few here are dicussing their opinions and view, but most are just complaining, making rash assumptions, and climing to speak for everyone.
No-one complains about aoe on the forums…here…The abundance of AOE based abilities (whether pbaoe, gtaoe, conical aoe, or bouncing aoe), and the relative strength of those abilities in regards to its damage capability and utility effectiveness against 1 enemy in comparison to other single target abilities is one of the major reasons why this game is coming up short as a skill based esport machine.
It is ridiculous that soo many classes and abilities do not even have to so much as target their intended victim and yet has strong effect of either crowd control or damage. Hey I will press tab and fire no-matter who it targets I will get him. The guy behind me is almost dead and I need some incoming damage off of me, let me swing my sword at the guy in front of me so I can kill the guy behind me. There may be someone hiding in our tower, should we leave people here to stand guard…nah, lets just run a couple circles spamming whatever button will fire off then leave this tower completely unguarded.

I just can’t see this nerf being good in any way. They did mention increasing AoE RESISTANCE to certain enemies, which I can sorta understand. I could also understand having enemy AI tell them to get out of the AoE.
Straight up lowering AoE damage? I don’t think they’ll go that route.
Unless you’re increasing the damage done before they get out of the AoE, which kind of beats the purpose of doing this – … nevermind.
Anyway you look at it, this is bad news. Specially for WvW, which many of the people who bought GW2 play this game for.

I’ve never ever seen someone complain about AoE in game and on the forums. This is just a smoke screen to avoid looking at the real issues, one being the thieves as they are. A lot of classes actually rely heavily on AoE, tread wisey….
I’d be very disappointed in Anet if eles got nerfed and thieves, which are so brokenly OP, were left as they are.
Thieves are single target so nerfing all AoE is effectively like buffing thieves.

Basically you need to be rewarded for knocking a thief out of stealth and not just let him stealth again every few seconds.

What about those times you get a thief down really low in health only to watch him stealth again then reappear half the map away? Most your abilities can’t even target the thief and he will escape easily.

Easy counter for the massive burst. Just avoid it. Dodge it, use your stun breaker and get out of it. Why stand in the burst when you know it is coming? Why should all thieves get punished for what a few thieves do. And this thread is for GAMEPLAY not all posts on this thread is how OP they are, it is suppose to be an intelluctual talk about….gameplay.
As for thieves gettin gout of battle…watch for cloak and dagger. That is your problem, is you are not looking for things during battles, cloak and dagger is the reason why thieves can stealth so many times. It has a 3/4 second cast time (I think) so you have plenty of reaction to try and dodge it, or move away from it. Why complain about your own mistakes, you are letting the thief stealth.
Thieves are not only threatened by massive battles. Like I said in another thread, throw a snare. Immobilize them, cripple them, chill them. Control them. Then, when they go into stealth keep on attacking, don’t just sit there thinking they are invulnerable, because they are not.
If you get a thief down, you know they are going to stealth… So why do you not snare them! You know it is coming. It is obvious.
There is nothing to fix except a players mind set on fighting thieves. Yes I play a thief. Yes I have faced thieves. And yes I tear almost every one apart, because I know how to fight them. They used cloak and dagger or disappeared? Guess what, they are not gone. I easily run up a bit, and cloak and dagger to follow suit.
This just in, to counter a thief you need to use a thief. Now I know why people joke about thief wars 2.
I think you’re missing the whole point of what he just said. When fighting a thief as another class you need some benefit for taking away his benefits for his class, all you really did was show if you don’t play thief you need to play thief or just follow zergs 24/7 which is another problem entirely.

Lick Wounds and Search & Rescue -NEVER- work for me. It’s a 90% fail rate. Even my daze interrupt for the downed skill actually misses lol. :/
