I honestly don’t expect glint to be that great for dungeons. I would use Shiro/Mallyx and sword + sword/axe.
Using Impossible Odds when on Shiro till you’re out of energy and then switching to Mallyx and use Embrace the Darkness. I’m not sure if just auto-attacking will still be your best option with all the sword buffs, but in the last BWE it was great.
Glint will be one of if not the best damage Legend we have. 100% uptime on Fury for only -2 Upkeep means 100% crit chance 100% of the time. That is a lot of damage. Not to mention the 2 Facet Actives of Elements (decent AoE damage) and Strength (AoE 20 vuln stacks) both on a 15 sec cd.
Uhm, yeah 100% fury uptime and 20+ vulnerability is something you should already get from your party. Not to mention you can almost get perma fury uptime by yourself by traiting into fury at legend swap and on heal. Also you can get around 18 stacks of vulnerability by just auto attacking and get 25 stacks if you use Impossible Odds, so yeah that facet of strength is really useful there. The facet of elements is a nice burst skill, but you might aswell just keep auto-attacking and opening more rifts with sword auto-3 for aoe damage. So yeah, I’m still not sold on Glint being THE legend we must have in dungeons.

Gosh, I hope not. One thing I never understood was that raiding fans come the ONLY larger MMO not having raids and then complain about their absence when there are dozens of games out there providing what they are looking for. Personally I am super-happy NOT to have all this drama and elitism surrounding raids in this game.
Because GW2 plays different than the regular MMO. That’s why I’m really curious how a raid would be in THIS game.

Just a quick question about Jalis, why does Inspiring Reinforcement have a cooldown? I thought the whole point of the energy system was that the utilities wouldn’t have a cooldown?

You’re probably better off using glyph of storms in fire attunement for the extra burns than using that cantrip.
The problem with PvE dungeons and conditions, is that everything is already dead before you can pull of your entire condi rotation (which then gives you the high dps).

For PvE Dungeons/Fractals this is a build I really like. Basically you use sword+axe/sword (or switch out sword-offhand for hammer if you need to range and don’t need a block) and use Shiro/Malyx. When you’re on Shiro just use Impossible Odds and auto-attack. When you’re nearly out of energy swap to Malyx and use the elite skill and continue auto-attacking. The 10% to all stats + the 3% dmg modifier that you get from having a condi on you, makes you do tons of damage. And whenever you run out of energy, you can just continue swapping to the other legend, since the energy runs out almost at the same time your legend swap gets of cooldown. Sadly the sword auto-attack is kinda clunky at the moment, but when they fix they (surely hope they do) it will be even more amazing

A RS camping build with gs and shouts for PvE. I don’t think dropping zerker and going for something tanky would be better for PvE content. Also using “Your soul is mine!”, “You are all weaklings!” and “Chilled to the bones!” maybe helpful. Signet of Spite and Well of Suffering will prob still be mandatory for most dungeon stuff though.

So we don’t get reaper shroud underwater. Doesn’t bother me too much, I like underwater DS. Question is does the shouts work as well?
According to the wiki only the elite skill doesn’t work underwater.
We’ll have to see if they will change anything though.
So with the beta weekend coming up we will be able to test out the Reaper \o/
But then I started thinking about the revenant beta weekend and remembered we weren’t able to fight underwater.
Now what I’m wondering if the underwater reaper shroud will keep the same skills as on land or if it will get an entirely new underwater skill set like the original death shroud. But what also could happen is that the reaper shroud changes back into the original death shroud while underwater, or that activating the reaper shroud will give you an empty skill set.
What do you guys expect/hoping for?

^^ Perhaps, but if you think about it, I don’t think Anet chooses the weapons the profs get based on looks so it’s a little silly to QQ about how Warhorn is a bad choice because of looks.
To be fair, character appearance, “looks,” is a huge part of GW2.
Yes it is but it’s still not a factor when Anet decides what weapons professions get. Besides, how a particular skin looks is subjective and frankly, I don’t believe that there isn’t a single warhorn that will look good on ele; how would anyone know? Ele can’t equip one yet.

There’s a bug that causes the first person to join a party, to be automatically kicked from the party when multiple others join. This makes the gamble of getting on a correct teq/wurm map even more frustrating. This bug only shows up when using a /join command to get into a party.
To prevent this bug the taxi giver has to taxi in the first person joining him, before accepting the others. If they don’t do this, the first person joining the party will get kicked out of the party and the other people trying to taxi on the original taxi giver will be moved the person who got autokicked in the first place.
Apparently a moderator thinks in-game bugs are actually account issues or technical issues, but it clearly is a bug. So for the love of god, please leave this topic in THIS forum.

We just finished the shaman fractal. When we clicked ready we got this error:
“InstanceCreate failed. Error=42; Product =5; Module=18; Line=1540”
We tried dying to get the prompt back, we killed the bats, some relogged, but we still unable to get to the next fractal.
Since this is the first fractal I’ve done since the last patch (7/7) I don’t know if this only occurs at this particular fractal.
I really hope this can be looked into.

The fractal relic vendor in the fractal lobby sells it in the ring tab.
You need the Gossimar Insignia to change ARMOR stats.
The Inscriptions are for WEAPON sets.
He made a mistake saying that. It doesn’t however change the fact that only the shoulder pieces of the wurmslayer armor are being recognized by the mystic forge.
If you trait into retal on heal + while under retal you do more damage, you will outheal most stuff when you also cast “Feel My Wrath”. The heal and elite both have the same cd untraited + the effects lasts almost as long as eachother. Not to mention that LoW has the shortest cast time of all heal skills.
So yeah I’m sticking with LoW in dungeons from now on

Ehm, maybe the perfect coordination between the whole team? Team chat would be to slow to tell others where the enemy is heading when everything is high paced.
When I get in one of these matches I afk at spawn. Seriously no point going in a deathtrap a whole match long. And the worst part is, is that yesterday 80% of my matches were premades vs pugs.
I see the 3+ premade vs 5 pugs as a bigger issue. It happens way to often and anet just seems to think it’s not an issue at all. I just AFK at spawn when our pug team just doesn’t have a chance at all. No point even doing anything when that happens.

Do EU and NA have different daily resets in that case? Because as far as I remember we have never had a release that late.
I honestly have no idea. I was under the impression they release the updates under the same timetable. That’s been my experience anyway.
Think the latest I’ve seen a patch go live was the attack on Lion’s Arch around midnight CET time, not sure about the more recent patches though. To be honest, usually I wait an hour after the patch goes live, so my internet can cope a bit with the download, so midnight release would mean I’ll just wait till tomorrow. If we can wait more than a month, one day wouldn’t be that hard right?
No centaur rune + healing mantra mesmers here? I thought most people who roamed on mesmer knew about this easy way to get perma-swiftness ._.
Season 3 would be ok with much more regular updates and content. If it’s like the current one, this game will die from lack of content.
The current one brought 2 new maps, new types of enemies, 2 new armor sets, 2 types of currencies, the Skritt holes to move around the map, and other stuff. Free. How is this lack of content???? Just stop.
And is this the type of content people have been asking for years now? Anet can pump out tons of content in a year, but if it keeps on being the same type of content over and over again that just doesn’t even change the way the game can be played even slightly people will get bored with it real quick. The 2 maps you speak off are only grind fest, the majority of the new type of enemies are only available in those particular maps, the 2 armor sets are only skins that have no additional value and I just can’t see what’s positive about having even more currencies. Skritt holes to move around the map? How is this considered content?
Yes it may be free (for the people who log on during the updates), but the quality of these content are really sub-par to what the people actually want.
I think everyone agrees that we need more content,EVERYONE,i don’t know someone who woudl say “No we don’t need content”…and i don’t say that.
BUT WHAT I SAY IS :
We don’t need it delivered in big chunks 1 time a year or 2 times a year.
It all depends on what TYPE of content it will provide. LS season 1 provided temporary content that could be enjoyed as a whole community, as in zergs, but left people who took a break or new players out. LS season 2 so far has only provided us with a boring story and 2 maps that are only there to add grinding to the game. The feature patches that were released along with it were only a way to show the players that they can actually do “work”, but if that “work” was actually something the players wanted/needed wasn’t even considered, so it left a bad taste in our mouths (looking at the megaservers, trait rework and NPE). Feature path 2 actually promoted HUGE changes to WvW, but the only thing that changed was that we can now use different coloured commander tags and have a new trap. The other “improvement” to WvW was the EotM map that isn’t used for what it was intended for (queue map and for testing new WvW features) and is solely used for karma farming and levelling up characters. PvP has got the reward tracks, which is nice, but with the last changes it has been changed into a game mode that prefers pre-made teams (not sure if this still the case, since the devs have been working on making this system more fair to the solo players among us). It also lacks new game modes that it desperately needs. PvE has gotten the most, but also the least, this season. In season 1 Anet added new 1 permanent dungeon path at the cost of another and 2 temporary dungeon(path)s. They also added new fractals in the form of chunks of the temporary dungeons at the cost of a fractal reset. Further there we’re some changes to pre-existing maps and the additions of the Southsun Cove map. While in season 2, dungeons and fractals were completely thrown off the table and the only content PvE got were maps with the intentions to be grinded and an extension to the personal story system.
Now about an expansion and Anet. What I’ve read in the topics going around here is that people want expansion worth of content, which most of has been discussed in CDI topics. They want GvG, guild halls, mount, new races, new skills coupled with new weapons, new classes, new continents, new dungeons, raids, stuff from GW1, etc. Most of the things they asked for are stuff that the LS just does not deliver or makes it impossible to deliver without a big amount of developing time. While I think most Anet devs would love to deliver these to us, they are severely limited by the higher ups in the company (which can cause misdirected rage against the devs instead of the people actually making you mad). The state of the game is also a complete mystery to the public because of the company policy.
So while I would love to see new content, I would much rather see we could decide what kind of content that would be, LS wise or expansion wise. Both content delivery methods can work, if it brought the content we actually wanted. You can argue with me about this post, but remember it’s just my view on what I’m seeing here, so please respect my view as I’ll respect yours.
