I realized how badly scaling works in this game, when i duoed Golem Mark II with a mesmer and myself as a necro in 3 minutes after it got patched …
At least necro has a decent place currently in WvW and sPvP, but it still needs some tweaks ofc. However in PvE …
We should take non-biased vote or the whole CDI is pointless.
As the votes stands now, ranger will be the #1 by far.
Ele will be #2 by a high chance (overnerfed in sPvP, squishyness etc).
And we have a great chance to be on the third place with engi. Sadly our imba Dhuumfire build recently made people highly biased toward necro being OP, so it will be a rough ride, but hope we will get more attention

Just look at the base values pls.
Even if you heal that much with the active, due to the higher CD of the signet it’s still a hp/s loss.
CC is an overall good heal, even without conditions.
But you can’t be convinienced, roll with signet.

Tbh every class that is not a heavy armor user is on the second place currently.

Oh, i just found another funny thing about it. When you are at full hp and you get your first hit, it doesn’t heal you.
Nope. Read my last post again please. If you just run from the mob, he can’t hit you, due to his slow cast animation. The aoe appears at your feet, but you run out from it meanwhile it finishes the casting.
However, when i had aegis up, it disappeared from me, block message popped up and no aoe showed up under me, when the champ started the animation.
Hmm, tried it. It isn’t a projectile finisher, nor the tooltip don’t even show it should be one.
edit: Also the bounce thingy works really well on close range, so it goes back and forth between you and the enemy, granting you a lot of regen and 12 stack of vuln to your opponent.
He plays on TC.
What about the charr cultural weapons? The look quite decent.

Just make it a ground targeted teleport as it was in beta … Problem solved. Hopefully they will revert past changes in March and this will be one of them.
The trick is both getting the devs to admit that and actually invest the resources to make the needed changes.
The problem is, it don’t worth it.
Mind you there could be anything beside a “simple” siege event.
In the previous update there were the dialog in LA about the main characters and the secret lair. Even if it’s not that monumental it gave us many good hints about the future, highlighted events in the past and generated massive amount of theory crafting.
So don’t get your hopes too high, but prepare to be surprised.
Think about Rush and Judge’s intervention. Player presses button, character moves / ports to the target. Nothing complicated. End of story.
You press a button as a necro and you pull a spectral fart behind you to trick your enemies and run in the opposite direction. If you survived. Or the cliffjump trick. You get the idea.
In WvW the blob spams cleanse as fast as you spam your conditions, thus making them nearly pointless.
In small scale fights however (spvp / roaming) it’s really effective, especially against classes who struggles against them.

The mob attacks more often than 20 second and i’m aware of the duration.
However when i had aegis up from any of those skills, it blocked when the mob started(!) the animation and no aoe indicator showed up.
Mind you, the animation is so slow, that when you circle strafe you won’t ever get hit.
I’m trying to find mobs with similar mechanics to find out whats happening.
For those who don’t know Zhaitan is not dead body found was by going under the map an is confirmed to not be part of lore.
That “body” is there due to scripting reasons at the final fight.
The official statement about Zhaitan is defeated. Not dead. Just defeated. That could mean anything.
Anet still could pull off a situation like happened now.

This happened in WoW too and nobody give a skritt about it. Even after you did quests and the world phased out you were still before the grand finale even if you already killed the Lich King numerous times. Don’t whine where there isn’t a problem.
If you care about good story, read a book. Games are for fun.

You could have entirely new continents to explore, yet people are excited about one city getting a makeover? Seriously?
If Anet introduce a new map / zone / whatever, would it be really good? I mean you explore it in a few hours and thats all. Almost all of the current maps has 0 re playable value, that is more important to change, than adding another totally useless zone coughsouthsuncough … And if you exclude world bosses, which are damaging farming nodes basically, there is no point to going out if you done with exploring.
Wow, now buffing is an exploit too? Forums going to be more entertaining day by day.
1. Boons has a small radius.
2. AI is stupid, thus can be packed up.
3. All melee attack cleaves (except necro and thief dagger).
4. Melee attacks doing way more damage, than ranged.
5. Map design is bad and encourage this.
6. Being closer to your party members fasten the revive process.
Conclusion? Stacking is the best tactic to use in pve.
Add in glitchy skills like FGS and it’s utterly stupid to not do this.
If you want to make current content harder, go naked or run around with a shout heal cleric warrior with your likeminded party members or simply try to solo things.
In WvW stacking has the same advantage (boon, cleanse, ress) and since aoe capped at 5 targets it’s basically prevents your zerg to wipe out if you stick close together.
Play the game please and try to understand how it works before making feedback.

It still works fine.
The aetherblade dungeon / fractal was a nice step towards this too.
However only that 25 bleed stack is problematic, the trash dies way too fast to feel their boons effect. On the other hand there are dredges, but they are a really different problem (rapid boon application, blind immun, beefy as hell etc.).
A few minutes ago i tried to improve my casual skills and solo the Champion Risen Gladiator near Caer Shadowfain Waypoint.
The champ does a similar attack to the mesmer gs#3 skill, with a red aoe indicator and a 1-2 second windup animation, so its absolutely avoidable by running around.
My problem is, when i’m just ran around him, popped aegis, it got removed, even if i didn’t get hit.
Is this intended or some special bug to that mob?

Thieves 2 shotting warriors, that right there is where you lose all credibility.
Sadly, it can happen. Don’t ask how, i’m still want to know how is it even possible.
The others did not record or plan to make guides. I’d like to do a warrior but the way I want to do it won’t attract many people to help us and it has frustrated the core group I had for this. It would have been pretty epic but I don’t see it coming to fruition. We might do thief and ranger between the 2 of us after the patch if we can get people to go.
It’s really just a matter of getting a dedicated group which is the hardest part. The rewards aren’t great and people want to do things quick and efficiently and this is well beyond those 2 things. Dekeyz and I would like to make more guides but we can’t promise anything based on these factors.
Thats sad.

Ele heal used really often, because it’s another blast finisher.
Rarely i see Mesmer signet too, but i haven’t tried if it’s good or not.
Everything else is too situational or outright bad.

As others have said, this is a bad, bad idea. Do some research on ‘WoW trade chat’ if you want a more specific set of reasons.
I come from WoW so i don’t know what is the problem with it.I find the chat just fine.It never bothered me.
Same with me. Trade chat was for traders, lfg for lfg and guild recruit, world chat was fine. If you would hold back implementing everything based on player behavior and stupidity, this game wouldn’t even exist.

We have way more skills to apply Weakness while throwing other conditions on our enemy. Warriors have limited access to it (which is more than enough to slam your enemy with a hammer), ele and engi camping earth / E-gun well .. ehm .. maybe not the best idea to do.
Warriors need only 50% cond dur to have easy 100% uptime via blow and hammer is kinda a thing you use against necro, Both ele and Engie if they sit in said “weapon set” for more than 3 shots are wasting their time since by the time projectile 2 hits not even half of the first projectiles weakness passed without any cond dur… so on full coni builds they all have built in weapon permaweakness, no need for GM trait for it (no need on necro too just saying that we got it more split up and the GM makes no sense).
You don’t even need that much. Look. It’s completely viable, almost perma weakness. HAMMER TIME!

And agree on ele / engi part, but as i said it not necessary practical to sit on those skills, but in a pvp situation could be good. Im more of a pve person, sorry. :/

I only realized now, how DS managing is utterly unfair to every other class. Your skills are gated behind not one, but TWO cooldowns and resource management too if it wasn’t enough. Resource in a cooldown based game … jeez … At least thieves and warriors (rolls eyes) can manage it in a better way.
But we can agree on that, that necro should be able to keep people in combat, near to them. And tweak the “the closer you are the bigger danger the necro means to you” stuff. So it will be kinda “kill me or gtfo” situation for the necro.
