There’s a gnat in flying around my eye and it won’t go away!
…
What’s this? It’s carrying a tiny gnat — sized sign? What could it possibly say? Eat more chicken, perhaps?
Nay! It says “Bran’ bek uman femile mations!”
How about that.
Just so everyone is aware the first years Festivals were laid out and designed around the fact that they wanted content they could reuse as groundwork for the years after. This is how it will be most Halloween, Christmas, etc will be largely the same with small differences because that how ANet set it up from the beginning. They don’t’ wanna do massive overhauls of the event year after year.
This
If this is the case, I do wish they would just tell us this is the case and put out some sort of preview that includes some teasers for whatever new stuff. It’s too late for it now, of course. But pretty ridiculous that they plan for the content to be the same year after year and also that they are treating that idea like it’s something to be ashamed of.
It is something to be ashamed of if they’re repeating 2013’s Halloween rather than 2012’s.

I’d actually be really happy with them replaying Shadow of the Mad King, but they didn’t last year. Shadow of the Mad King was a great update. It had a lot of content to it, even in addition to the Halloween only stuff.
Trick.
Expectations for the Halloween event are super low. From the lack of information or a tease that should have been posted a week ago, it looks like they’re just going to repeat last year’s terrible Halloween. They’re only focusing on their Living Story and fail to consider that anything could be incorporated into the Living Story to give a break from the main dragon plot-line.
It was in the game for about a year and a half, you needed Wolf rank in PvP to get it. I got it back then and made a number of posts encouraging others to get it before it was removed since they did give us plenty of notice.
It was removed when they took out the PvP Mystic Forge earlier this year. Grouch said then on a Ready Up livestream that it would possibly come back as a Reward Track reward, I’m thinking we haven’t gone far enough into the Maguuma Jungle to see it. Maybe watch the livestream tomorrow to see if he discusses it again?
My biggest problem with it having been available in SPvP was that it was mislabeled as Masquerade armor. I would have grinded through SPvP had I not been skeptical of it carrying over through the wardrobe system. For all we knew, they could have changed the armor to visually match the Masquerade set, since it was labeled as such.
Your two plus years of cries to put back in a completed armor set that was available in beta from karma vendors falls on deaf ears.
That makes zero sense.
How does that make zero sense? You’re not the first person to make this thread. We’ve been asking for this armor set to be put back in for literally more than two years. Anet has not responded to a single thread regarding this issue with the exception of an extremely vague post on Reddit saying that missing armors may be brought back through reward tracks.

Their goals seem to be the following:
1. Sell gems for real currency.
2. Dumb down the game.
3. Sell gems for real currency.
4. Remove random content from the game and ignore that it’s broken or missing.
5. Sell gems for real currency.
6. Make seasonal events with rewards that require unrealistic amounts of effort (Promotes Gems → Gold)
7. Sell gems for real currency.
8. Ignore the community.
9. Sell gems for real currency.
10. Be evasive about upcoming content // “Company policy prevents us from discussing what’s in development”
11. Sell gems for real currency.
Whatever. If this isn’t fixed before Halloween or so I’m uninstalling this game. I don’t need to spend heavily on their Halloween stuff they’ll release when they treat the game and its player base like this. This bug has been here for almost a month now. I’m tired of being stomped on because I like town clothing, socializing, costume brawl, and other activities that involve ‘stopping to smell the roses’. The only players they seem to want are the ones that will chase grindy content and buy hundreds of gems.
Well I wouldn’t hold my breath. Eventually everyone will get used to it, this thread will die and it will be over.
I won’t get used to it.
I’ve come bearing happy news: This is fixed! I had a chat with one of our QA team just now and she informs me that you and your minions can travel around at will. Your squishy friends will no longer keel over from the shock of the level change.
Really awesome to hear this is fixed! By any chance, could you also check on the human idle animations bug should the opportunity present itself? Pretty please!
I hope many of these will be fixed with the collection incentives/rewards hinted at in the blog today! Very nice list!
(I am a fool)
Hahahahahaha. Ha. Ha ha. Hee. Ha. /Jokerlaugh
Seriously ArenaNet. Seriously. Almost two years. TWO YEARS!!!!!
The armor was finally fixed (icon and name). Could we have a way to properly unlock it, please? Haven’t we waited long enough for this to become, properly, available?
I’m tired of digging. It’s beyond ridiculous that this hasn’t been solved for nearly two years now. No definite answer has ever been given either. The set exists, it’s already in game, some lucky people got it from SPvP (it was also labeled incorrectly by name and icon), and yet we still don’t have a way to definitely get this armor set. Just put it on its own SPvP reward track or add it to one of the karma vendors! There’s several zones that sell the exact same light armor skin/set. I’m sure one of those could be replaced with this set.
Is it being saved for Season 2? I really don’t know why this set is just laying around unused. It’s beyond aggravating when you’ve been patiently waiting nearly two years for this to be addressed.
I think the writers went overboard with what she could do. Honestly if she can do all that then she doesnt need logan to protect her.
It’s probably more Logan needing her than her needing Logan… He really is just her lap dog, or something of that sort. But maybe that’s a good thing! Not every character in GW2 can be as developed and interesting as . . . I’ll come back to that point later!
Anyhow, Queen Jennah has proven to be fairly formidable. Whether it be by almost killing Forever-Classy Lord Faren or by balling up into a purple hamster ball while sitting around eating tacos and waiting for us to ‘rescue’ her in CM — she’s obviously got talent!
She’s also an alien. So… there’s that too.
This is such an agonizing tease…
Since the Crown Pavilion is making a come back and we haven’t had any new outfits lately, they should release imitation robes of the ones Queen Jennah wears to celebrate!
Yep. I secretly envy her robes. They’re the robiest robes in all of Tyria, and they’d be perfect for an outfit piece!
This thread should probably just be deleted >.> There’s a bug thread for it already and we shouldn’t promote it.
Rumour has it that the pvp masquerade gear is going to come out as an outfit. You heard it here first. My pleasure. I think.
No… People have pieces of it unlocked from SPvP. It may come out as a gem store armor set, but turning it into an outfit would be infinitely silly.
Ok, you’re right. Totally plausible.
oh, and the Llama finisher … funny and very troll worthy, but I really wish they would keep it at least GW2 themed. A Llama seems very random, unless I’m missing an inside joke or something.
Well considering they’ve never made an appearance anywhere in the Guild Wars 2 universe… It seems fairly nonsensical. There are some extinct species on Tyria, however, but with sweet moves like that it is hard to ascertain how one would become extinct.
This is probably the reason they took away our town clothes. Swimsuits being wearable in combat would probably outsell every other outfit and individual piece of town clothing combined. /sigh
Why would that even exist? That sounds extremely discouraging, especially if it’s an hour long block (or close to it).
I wouldn’t do that to my worst enemy.
You can see what it looks like in the wardrobe from the bank, if you’d like. It is now there, correctly labeled as Tribal.
Tribal armor, aesthetically, was incorrectly labeled Masquerade Armor in the SPvP locker before the feature patch. Tribal armor, aesthetically, is no longer attainable.
Even people that unlocked it in SPvP do not have it anymore, since it was converted into Masquerade Armor. So currently there is no way to get this set, or have owned this set, for anyone.
Those of us who had it in our PvP locker have it unlocked for all characters, just like every other piece of armour.
Odd, I don’t have mine anymore… And my friends don’t have their tribal armor anymore.
This would be cool

Do they know what is refundable or do you have to tell them?
I have bought several duplicates of the same sets (Aetherblade set for example) over the course of the game but I wouldn’t have a clue what to put a ticket in for because I never kept a record of it.
I’m sure they have a record. Just make sure to be clear in what you want refunded.
The meta has been ruined! Run for your liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew I should have preordered Bouquet Flower Girl Wars 6 instead. I shall have you all know, that if this change isn’t undone I shall be leaving this game immediately!
(Seriously, please take a look at the bouquet. They’re very un-fun now!)
Unfortunately, this thread is still prevalent. Any word on ascended carrion trinkets…?
Generally, it looks like there’s a lot of support for this suggestion so far in this thread (a rarity for the GW2 forums!).
38 now 39 posts doesn’t really equal a lot of support. LOL
When compared to the other suggestion threads it is
Most of the general forum is either complaints or feedback threads. This is growing into a pretty large suggestion thread!
EDIT: Also, why are all the good Dev responses hidden away in the PvP section?
Stuff that pertains mostly to PvE players now (Tribal Armor/Concealing Boots) is never responded to here. If you wanted to, you could run around naked in SPvP, correct? Equal rights for the PvE crowd! Except I don’t necessarily want to be naked, but still!
EDIT EDIT: Also, if they want to see glitchy clippy shoes that are causing problems, I can give them a list with pictures if it will help them change their mind to allow toggle-boots.

Come on! Ninja the hiding boots option into a patch like you did the gloves! You know you want to!
I’ve posted this is numerous other threads, but I will post it here also. I want Tribal Armor!

The RPG elements in this game went the way of the dodo for no discernible reason.
I don’t think the Guild Wars series has ever had a good grasp on rewards and accomplishment. It all just boils down to how effectively you can farm something repetitively. The old RPG elements were small bits of flavor to help make the game taste less dull and monotonous. They are now gone.
Welcome
You can also wear it in combat now… And it comes with a toy sword for costume brawl (the sword can’t be used in combat).
Pirate outfit from the gem store.
I’d place my bets on the musical instruments as the next target.
pvp reward track

Really? That’s cool, I sure hope that’s true. If it is, then the real question is….. when?
Soon
And so it begins. Also, it wasn’t confirmed so much as it wasn’t ruled out as a possibility.
Nobody knows. It’s been an elusive mystery for almost two years.
Please watch my miniseries, Elusiveness, for more information on this bizarre phenomenon.
It includes such hit episodes* as:
Loch Ness Monster: Friend or Foe?
Oh My God, You Just Ran Over a Chupacabra
Alien Abductions and Cow Licks
and finally
Where the ~~~~ is Tribal Armor in Guild Wars 2?1!!?11/1
*Episodes may or may not actually exist.
The thing is, I’d like there (personally) to be a distinction between Outfits and Armors. I don’t see the point in having outfits if they’re not ‘thinking outside the box’ and visually different from everything else in the game.
I’d like to see overalls and other ‘profession’ type outfits (like the cook outfit — although the cook outfit is similar to overalls, hence my suggested adjustments to make it more of its own thing). Maybe a scientist outfit, scholarly outfit, and other such outfits.
But yes, I’d love to see robes too. Queen Jennah is the only one that seems to have robes in the whole game. Maybe we can get that as an outfit (which should happen since they’ve imported other NPC specific apparel!)… Unfortunately, I don’t think robes are possible unless it’s an outfit, with the way their apparently extremely nit-picky armor system works.
Hide boots option please! It’s time!
Someone mentioned weapon hiding too. Not a bad idea — TSW has that option and it’s used a lot.
As for chest/legging hiding, sure, but at least boots since they make the most sense.
Dirty barefoot adventuring overalls! So I can release my inner tomboy. I don’t ever see overalls in games, and they’re totally back in fashion!
BTW, was the personality Charm, Dignity, Ferocity thing removed with this feature pack? If so… why?? I enjoyed this feature. Maybe the icons have just been moved someplace that I haven’t looked yet.
They’re gone. #OperationEradicateAllRPers
They should have saved themselves a heap of trouble and have just refunded everyone that received tonics with their equivalent worth in gems. Those tonics are just absolute garbage. Doing that, they would have just needed to deal with outfits, armor duplicates, and dye refunds.
The way they’ve handled this issue, and have continued to handle this issue, is just laughable and pathetic. People that rushed out and bought the human C3 cultural armor got a big apology and explanation within a day or two.
They’re just ignoring this issue and sweeping it under the rug.
ArenaNet has responded several times, the answer is it might be added as a reward track in the future.
You guys just keep making a topic about it everyday.
Source? I’ve checked at least 20 of these types of threads since launch and have never seen a word. Also, it’s not that hard to just substitute it in to a karma vendor somewhere.
Go look through the spvp subforum where it has been answered like 3 times, its a reason they stopped answering and its probably because you guys keep spamming each forum with the same topic.
I browsed through the first 100 pages of the SPvP forum and didn’t notice any reply whatsoever to anything regarding the Tribal Armor. I also don’t check the SPvP section ever. The question has never been answered here in the General Discussion.

Thanks, I guess. I was hoping to find a developer post regarding the issue on these forums though — not Reddit.
