What exactly are you doing with transmutation stones on trinkets…?
Sigh reading comprehension…..
With zerker trinkets getting a larger nerf, it makes a lot more sense to use non-zerker trinkets, i.e. soldiers. As a result, if you still want crit dmg, you have to now swap in zerker armour pieces. Hence, if you want to keep your look you need transmutation stones and if you don’t want to lose your AR you need the de-slotter. Therefore, ANet gains more cashshop sales from nerfing, at the risk of losing more players.
Do you not want to wait for the patch to go live first? You’re basically seeing a leaky pipe on a boat and screaming it’s sinking.
By the time the patch goes live, it’s far too late. It will take months if not years for the change to revert. Your line of thinking is also one of the reasons why we don’t have an expansion and is still continuing the absolutely terrible Scarlet living stories, cause people like you rather wait and see, than voice their opinions.
I did voice my opinion. You’re completely over-exaggerating with NONE of the facts. Back this up with evidence. Statistical evidence. Show me workings of how much damage is less and how it can no longer work. Also, show me the correlation between berserker gear and living story or stop using sensationalism.
Also, do you not know how software and databases work? Months if not years to revert a patch? Are you new to MMOs? That is hilarious.

Dude this patch nerfs Mesmer build variety to the ground. All you’ll see are crappy phantasm memsers that use GS and nothing else, even though Sword/Focus DPS is so much greater than GS.
You sure you’re in the right thread?
My elementalist in berserker gear can do exactly that in the newbie fractals too.
Also, can you please record at a decent quality next time?
Too much work for too little reward. It’s why I don’t even do dungeons anymore. And yes, “reward” also includes “fun.” If it’s not fun, it’s not rewarding either.
They need to drop the temp content, flesh out the game thoroughly with permanent content and let the living story die a quick death. I can’t go back to the Sanctum. Those 2 weeks were fun but they’re gone now.
The funniest part of this thread was someone bragging he does Queensdale champ trains.
Yet another reason I am kitten glad to be a Canadian.
However if they do ever decide to pull this kitten on us, there are plenty of single player games available. Never played WoW because they charged a sub.
Same here (I mean, I’m not Canadian, but I’m not American either).
I played Warcraft, Warcraft II and Warcraft III, was excited for WoW, didn’t play because I don’t play sub-based MMOs. The same will happen with TESO (huge fan of TES, not going to play TESO because of the sub). If GW2 suddenly becomes sub-based, I will quit. I really doubt it will happen, though.
I have a complete hatred for sub-based games. It is not because of the money I would have to put on them (I would gladly spend much more on regular expansions, for example), but that feeling that I have to play the game all the time, otherwise I’m burning money.
Do you also feel that you’re burning money if, for example, you’re not using your internet, tv, or netflix subscription 24/7?
Don’t pull that one. The feeling that Gabby has mentioned isn’t uncommon amongst MMO players.
A typical $15 per month subscription pencils out to approximately 50 cents per day. If you have a nice enough computer to handle GW2 and other MMOs then 50 cents a day shouldn’t be a problem.
I buy a computer once. I have it forever. I’m not renting it. It’s mine.
The reason I have money to buy a computer of this calibre is BECAUSE I don’t buy games twice. You’re only thinking per day. Now do every day you’ve played it and every day you’ve not played it. Now look at that long-term money. Think of what you really got out of it. Think of the times you burned out and played other games, even bought other games. You just paid someone for doing nothing.
People with high income that throw it all away will never understand the true value of money and will be very ill-prepared when a financial crisis hits them.
That’s diminishing returns from mindlessly running in a circle and getting all the rewards for none of the work.
Not worried about this. Many more would stop paying for internet entirely or another company will take advantage and not charge extra as their selling point.
How many proposed laws have people jumped on the bandwagon against and it turned out to not even be a threat?
I’ve noticed the people throwing casual around as an insult have ascended gear and saying they’re the hardcore elite. You can’t be that good if you can’t afford a second set of ascended as a back-up.
Welcome to MMOs. This is your first if you never saw this coming. Adapt or die.
You hear that newbies? Grind all your daily categories every day if you want to be taken seriously on the official forum.
Because achievement points actually mean something in this game.
NEXT UP: MY PSN RANK MEANS I KNOW WHAT PS4 GAMES TO BUY!
Are we playing the same game?
There’s only one way I know of to get amulets and that’s from laurels. I’d probably go for the 500 jeweller myself.
If you want a specific dye, just convert gems to gold and buy it. I don’t see why that doesn’t work for you.
Because the item bought is random. Kinda the point of the whole thread.
Completely agree. I would have bought Jade weapons. I will not buy a chance at maybe one day having a Jade weapon.
They should also do it like they did in GW1. Once I bought something, it was forever. No transmutation stones needed. No “Only this character can use it and if you delete it, tough.” Permanent. My money is going permanently to them, their services should be permanently provided to me.
I do not rent. I do not gamble. I pay for sure things.
But that made us emotionally invested. It made us angry, horrified and want to know how such an abomination would be repaid.
GW2’s story just makes me angry that the Elder Dragon Zhaitan still doesn’t fight back, still gets gunned down by mashing 1 on a cannon and some plant is making alliances that don’t even make sense because “It will all make sense one day!” and it will be something like Scarlet caused the Thaumanova Reactor explosion and also was the real reason Abaddon was locked up.
If they made them rich nodes, I’d buy it with REAL money! Maybe.
Nah.
I’m pretty sure it’s once per account per day.
Comparing THIS worthless story to Game of Thrones has me laughing harder than the time I saw a cat fall off a wall, into a bin and have the bin’s lid close over.
Actually, it’s a close second, now that I think about it. Both born of stupidity, one was actually endearing.
You are making a massive mistake here.
You are under the impression that the gem-store is priced based on what the conversation between Gold – Gems is, which is very much incorrect.
They always base prices on gem-costs, not gem-gold costs. The game needs to make money in order to survive.
I was always under the illusion it needed to fix the bugs, listen to its community and veterans and maintain actual expansions in order to survive.
I will have a word with my old university professor immediately to let him know my business degree is now USELESS!
Also, I’m wondering how much of my gem store money they “needed to survive” with went on those 300+ PS4s? Care to do the math on that?
Yeah, that’s what I thought. No evidence meaning you’re acting purely out of emotion.
If you’re going to struggle in Arah, just give me a message in game and I’ll show you how to play. You don’t need to exploit to beat it and exploits SHOULD be fixed. It’ll make you a better player in the long-run.
And this is any different from skipping Kholer in AC, how? Kholer is placed in the middle of the dungeon, as is Lupicus, the only difference is the manner in skipping the former is more obvious.
Look in the mirror, you’re being hypocritical.
I must have missed something because I don’t see any mention of Kholer before your post.
Nice try though.
I agree. Don’t be discouraged and keep at though, you’ll get better at understanding fundamental logic one day, I’m sure!
You personally accused him of “Skipping Kholer” because he wanted something done about Arah skipping.
Please back this up with facts that he, himself, IS skipping Kholer or please don’t bother dragging this thread off topic.
If you wanted to say that Kholer shouldn’t be optional, that’s fine. False accusations with no proof just make it look like you don’t have any defence against this reasoning so you’re playing the finger-pointing game to take it from one subject to another.
Maybe you feel that you can’t handle Arah once the exploits are patched?
Secret to that one is to kill the veterans otherwise they will keep spawning. You’ll probably want a second player to help with that one to make it easier.
Ironic that there’s a ton of other posts within the past 30 minutes talking of the disconnect as well. Must be my ISP’s fault lol.
Sorry, I cant say anything about their support quality and how they take care for paying users and how they are blame us despite that the clear evidences. The funniest thing is that other players try to blame us too.
But anyway they are professionals, aren’t they? Or just should be?
They fired the professionals and hired interns. Cheaper!

solution, please.
- Start the download
- Go to bed
I remember waiting a few days for Half Life 2 to download.
Alternatively, copy the game folder from a friend – you will be presented with a 10MB download when you launch it for the first time and nothing more.
Unfortunately for us, our solutions which are actually common sense are deemed as trolling by the OP.
Didnt take long for the know it all trolls to appear
Spotlight’s yours.
Your solution, please.
^ Ranged weapon when I need one. as in those 2 examples you just gave. Then I have to use a scepter.
Oh man my ele is the best tank ever.
Arlette, you’re being far too defensive over this. Saying things like “I could show you a better build” and providing absolutely no feedback and criticism as to how to fix that build proves nothing. Of course he’s going to ask you to elaborate on your stance.
Then when he asks you to, you attack him further and throw more vague numbers out like it’s actually anything constructive.
In the future, I recommend you actually back up your facts and figures and say more than “But I can do it better.” It’s actually how the people that really make builds do it. Because we can see the weaknesses and know how to fix them because we’ve experienced it ourselves.
It would seem this time he is angry at the community for their work and positive advices.
Can you blame him? He’s stressed, angry and offended! He doesn’t know how to gope!
Seems to me they gave a lot of non-answer answers.
As for the comment about forcing players to “experience” WvW for world completion, I am going to stop just shy of calling bullkitten on that. PvE players who want world completion go to WvW to experience being ganked and teabagged. Really encourages them to play the game. :roll eyes:
Is Arenanet really that desperate to gain just one or two WvW players, that they feel it is necessary to subject thousands to the humiliation that they will have to go through in WvW? Is that how Anet sees it? That humiliating players is a good way to get them to enjoy the game?100% of Cantha exploration in GW1 included Jade Quary and Fort Aspenwood Maps so nothing new.
I can point to those locations on a Canthan map. I can’t point to the Mists ANYWHERE in Tyria.
There are a bunch of legit gold traders that sell for $0.10-$0.95 per g.
Though you do have to look hard and make sure he’s not a scammer.
There’s nothing legit about it. It is completely against the rules.
You also seem to know a bit too much about this.
The charr looks photoshopped and the image misspelled “resurrection” with an extra “s.”
Look before you guys let your fury fly out.
If you’re basing it on typos, have you been playing GW2 lately? The amount of reports I’ve had to send based on typos alone.
“More then.”
“Trehearne.”
“Personailty.”
Just off the top of my head.
Fun is challenge and reward. Very long story short.
As a necromancer i find it annoying that people assume i’m a bot just because i farm mats or whatever i do, even when i answer them in map chat they still call me a bot…. so don’t report every one you see, try and see if it’s a real person first before giving out a report please
They don’t ban based on a report. They investigate. We have no way of proving it, they do. “Shoot ’em all and let God deal with ’em.”
lol, who cares?
On the off-chance that you’ll actually read this, because people like you tend to post and run, HE cares. He posted this, he’s proud of it and it made me laugh a little.
Next question.
Them not taking a game back once a product key is used has always been the norm. But I’ve never been told I could never return a game or asked if my PC could run it before I bought a game.
I think the shop I go to just assumes it’s common knowledge.
When ever I’ve bought a game of a retailer for a PC, the retailer normally asks me can my PC run it, and that once opens it CAN NOT be returned. This is the norm in the UK.
Since when?
Edit: Also I doubt most people spend gold on it…most people probably spend cash on it, which is what..the price of a couple of cups of coffee for a permanent pass?
Where are you people buying coffee?! It’s beans and water! Make it yourself for a tenth of the price!
This is making me think about starting a new guild. Tears For Tiers.
Someone else posted something like this and he was told to post the link to support for a review.
Sigh… It’s this thread again.
You are the very reason that drives developers into not giving out any more info than what it necessary. If for one reason or another they can’t deliver that you jump on them like a pack of rabid wolves demanding them to deliver.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned, deal with it.
Never vote.
Yeah, I see the problem. You’re using berserker gear against a world boss when you can’t crit against it.
Maybe it’s because you just banned a bunch of innocent players. Maybe that got you guys in the crosshairs.
Ah, you mean all those “innocent” people that got their bans changed within a few hours?
I can’t be the only one that sees something wrong with that sentence.
You guys do know that Transmutation Crystals exist, right? And that they allow you to transfer the skin of one armor onto the stats of another armor. This includes allowing you to get the skin you want onto Ascended Armor of any sort… What’s more is that they only cost 10 dollars for 25 of them… That is 10 dollars for enough to transmute 4.16667 sets of armor (not counting weapons).
Lost me at only.
And no, I don’t eat out. No I don’t go to Starbucks and spend that on coffee. No I don’t frivolously waste anything on anyone and no I’m not some pup that runs to daddy for his credit card.
Just taking all your generalisations away from you before you start. Unless you’ve got one I’ve not heard before.
What if I told you that I’m grinding out Ascended armor for the skin?
I’d say “You’re definitely not a male that wears light armour then.”
You can’t play MMO game without players, and an etiquette of a “dead game” is enough to empty any MMO very fast.
Superior to what? I bet that if Anet stopped supporting GW2, it would empty much faster than GW1 did.
Good thing GW1 never was an MMO then, aye?
And the fact that you can do almost everything in the game without other people? Especially since they added the 7-hero parties back in 2011.Superior to GW2 according to the people here complaining about how much GW2 sucks. And if it indeed was so superior, why can’t they play it if it is not updated?
Based on the amount of those type of comments here, you would be able to get more then enough people to do everything in GW1.
1. More than.
2. Name me ONE game you have played inside and out to absolute completion 6 or 7 times over 10 years and not been bored of.
3. This time, don’t ask me questions that answer absolutely nothing intending to deflect the question entirely. Answer it or be absent.
“…for instance, someone offers a run and then leaves the party, or offers to pay and then declines to do so — then we may take action against a scammer…”
Everything is clear as day in the full version.
So basically I can go into one of these Sell money spots, Tell them I don’t feel like paying and they can not kick me due to not wanting to pay?
Nope. I’m not sure how you managed to interpret that part.
You’re also still free to advertise your own party. You’ll notice it won’t stay for long as they do get filled up fast at certain times. This does not influence your dungeon run in any way.
