I would rather see a guild PvP roster. The way it’s set now, by my understanding, makes swaps and changes difficult.

why not both?

guild teams can be more personal, having a team name and 5 team members.

guild rooster can be more general.
actually, why not just default everyone into the guild rooster?

i thought they said that as long as 3 members of the same guild enter the queue, they automatically represent their guild ?

I’m an officer in a large guild. We have a lot people that we need to get mission credit for. With some of the new PvP missions (ones that require a win or rank points), you can only have ONE group doing it at a time, since when the mission suceeds it is OVER immediately and if you have a second group attempting the mission they will not get credit since the first group’s win already counted and auto-completed it. This is ridiculous, how are we going to get 30 people through missions if we have to do them in sequence instead of parallel?

This needs to change so that ANYONE who wins with a guild group within the time limit gets credit, not just the FIRST group. Auto-complete isn’t necessary and it hurts our attempts to include everyone!

tl; dr
the new PvP guild missions need to behave like Guild Rush and not auto completing immediately when one group clears the objective.

Guild Wars 2 is free-to-play now.
This can be a filter against banned players.
Now, Botters and hackers can come back with new accounts.

Unranked arena is not blocked by rank. The conquest game mode is. You cannot queue with someone in your party who does not meet the rank requirements.

Yes we know that but why? Why is stronghold available at rank 2?

yeah, why?

stronghold does not teach new players how to play conquest.

custom arenas aka hotjoin teaches new players to auto balance themselves into the winning team and continue to stack themselves into the winning team after that.

hotjoin can be fun if everyone plays properly but nowadays it is not the case.

i guess some guild missions are bugged.
our guild did not have any PvE guild missions before the reset, we only had PvP and WvW guild missions.

one of the weekly easy PvP Win (win 1 stronghold match) was bugged but it was hotfixed with the latest patch.

the others were fine.

we completed the other weekly opportunities:
Easy WvW capture and hold (assault camp, hold it for 10 minutes, within 30 minutes)
Medium PvP Conquest (earn a total of 500 personal score within 30 minutes)
Hard PvP Rank Points (earn a total of 16,000 rank points within 30 minutes)

all those who participated received their personal rewards.
1 rare, 1 scribe crafting material for easy ones
2 rares, 1 scribe crafting material for medium and kittenes

sPvP Locks New Players Out of Conquest

This is just a poorly thought out change introduced on the back of removing ranked access and funneling everyone into unranked (kitten maps and all).

What do those 10 levels do exactly? You’re keeping potential newbies out of conquest, only when they get into conquest they’re going to be completely newbie to conquest. They’ll run around the map (like Stronghold), fight off point (like stronghold), and know nothing of conquest rotations (like Stronghold -_-u).

Just fire the manager behind this decision and get things back on track

nowadays hotjoin is not good conquest tutorial either.

in nowadays hotjoin, new players learn:
team stacking
auto balance themselves into winning team
rage quit via spectator mode to force auto balance

when we have experienced players willing to take new players along, the stupid system denies us that.

Stronghold: Fixed a bug in which PvP Win guild missions would not count as a win if the lord was killed.

  1. at least remove the rank requirement if a full guild party queues together.
  2. one guild member in the party is at least the require rank

this way, at least they won’t be spoiling the experience for other players. though the opposing team might not be too thrill beating on sand bags though.

Did someone from the guild team queue and select to play as the guild team you created?

If you did not get a popup asking which team you’d like to play as when you queued, then you were not representing your guild for mission credit.

i started the queue, and select our guild team “the choo choo unker squad” and all 3 members of our guild team is in our party that queued, the other 2 are our choo choo train volution [cctv] guild members but not in the guidl team “the choo choo unker squad” and while in the game, our guild name and guild team is shown in the score board.

by the way, our guild team “the choo choo unker squad” only have 3 members, i did not fill up the remaining 2 slots.

our guild activated the guild mission,
easy weekly opportunities
pvp win

start location: heart of the mists
time limit: 30 m
recommended players: 3
required players: 3

pvp mission in which guild team members must win a certain number of matches in a time limit.

win 1 stronghold match
with a guild team, win 1 pvp stronghold match within the time limit. guild mission progress will not be earned during custom arena games, nor will it be earned if the game was entered before the mission began.


okay, we have a 5 team of full guild members, but only 3 were in my guild team, and my guild team only have 3/5 members, the 2 slots are open, i did not put in members yet.

but we entered in kitten players representing the same guild.

we activated the mission, and then queued for stronghold, then finally won.

but the stronghold did not register.

please look into this.

don’t tell me i need to fill up the guild team 5/5 in order for it to work?

Wait there is a requirement for unranked?! I get people not wanting brand new players in tourney matches but uhh…. what should they do hotjoin for 2 months to level up?

Also… give standard models in unranked as well.

yeah, i heard there is a rank 10 requirement in order to participate in unranked.

2 days ago, i tried running the weekly medium guild pvp mission, earn a total of 500 personal points within 30 minutes after activating the mission.

unfortunately, one of our members cannot participate as his rank is not high enough.
we went in with just the 4 of us anyway.

lost 2 games but at least we got the mission done.

1st game, temple, lost 500 – 330+
2nd game, forest, lost 500 – 480+

fairly good game.
no blowouts.

remove rank requirement for conquest mode in unranked.

it is a great obstacle in converting many of my PvE guild members to become PvP guild members.

guild missions now have PvP missions but there is a rank requirement to participate in unranked.

do consider

  1. at least remove the rank requirement if a full guild party queues together.
  2. one guild member in the party is at least the require rank

i mean, when we do guild missions, we get personal rewards and guild rewards.

  1. the guild rewards (favors) are once per week per guild.
  2. the personal rewards are once per week per guild member.

when we earn guild exp from completing guild missions, do we only get them from #1 only or both #1 and #2 ????

scrappers dun get extra 500 toughness right away, they only get 100 toughness per second per hit received.

by the time they received extra 500 toughness, they could have already received 5 heavy burst damage mortally wounding them after the ordeal.

no, both adaptive armor and scrapper rune are fine.
there is no need to change them.

fight the scrapper from more than 600 range and the 7% damage reduction is negated.

500 extra toughness will not save the scrapper from heavy sustained burst attacks.

also, you’re complaining because you can’t do enough damage as a bunker yourself to put down the scrapper.

if you have enough damage you can put them down.

Yup I agree. The PvE wanderer stats would be more useful, as would zealot stats. The new condi amulets are tear inducingly useless.

by the way, there is no reason for commander amulet to not be in PvP.

trailblazer i may understand if they omit it from PvP as it looks similar to dire stats.

Sooo Engineer? Maybe Warrior?

I don’t think anyone else really fits that description, to be honest. Guradians lack the ability to disengage well (although Trapper Rune Dragonhunters might change this to a degree). Necros just don’t do hybrid damage at range (although Reapers can do it well at close range) and, again, can’t engage. Sinister Eles would die to a stiff breeze… etc.

hmmm i think you’re right.
engineer can avoid damage with drink elixir s, then try to escape with toss elixir s (if its not on cool down). as for hybrid damage, flame thrower auto – flame jet, nades, bombs, mortars etc?

warrior’s combustive shot deals decent hybrid damage, shield block, endure pain to avoid damage, then attempt to flee with long sword or greatsword and hopefully they don’t chase up.

we know that we’re getting sinister for sPvP and
we’re not getting dire for sPvP

josh also mentioned that we are getting more.

A small example of what we’ll be adding are trapper runes and sinister stats, but there’s plenty more for you to discover on October 23.

those numbers are balanced.

3 stats amulet have highest single stat – 1200 , 2 stats at 900
4 stats amulet have 2 stats at 1050 and 2 stats at 560
7 stats amulet have 7 stats at 560 each

we really should have

5 stats amulet with 2 stats at 900 and 3 stats at 560
6 stats amulet with 2 stats at 750 and 4 stats at 560

Yes; Maybe not one you can spam over and over but something like ‘this track can be activated again in 30 days after it is completed.’

Call it ‘Black Lion Track’, have it award key in the end, with ‘track reward steps’ being random loot boxes that each contain one black lion ‘loot roll’ without need for a key.

30 days is too long.
7 days is fair. same as PvE.
