Is Revenge of the Capricorn even in the map selection anymore??

i haven’t seen it on map selelection after patch for 5 games now. Probably bugged, hope they fix it soon only 2 weeks for capricorn achievements left

I double checked and Capricorn should appear even though it is no longer pinned in unranked.

There’s a bug that pops up occasionally for reasons no one has been able to replicate (making it hard to permanently fix).

However, it can be fixed by the following:

  • Wait; fixes itself eventually.
  • Close GW2 and restart it; fixes it often although not always.
  • Close GW2 and launch GW1. Start at least one character. (Optional: enter the HoM in EotN, but not sure that matters.) Close GW1. Launch GW2 — I’ve yet to hear of this not fixing it.

Also, please use the in-game /bug reporting tool. That provides more details to ANet about when/where it happened, that might help them figure out the root cause.

We’ve been talking about personal score a bit. I’m personally of the opinion that it isn’t representative of a player’s effort in a given match, and it also can be incredibly misleading and potentially lead to bad gameplay habits (5-capping home).

If you were to redesign personal score, what would you do? Does it track different types of stats? Would you want your personal stats displayed to other players?

lets keep it simple and show Kills / Deaths instead.

Why would they alternate back and forth after 3 games? That’s a lot of pip loss. That’s 6 games for every 2 pips net gain each side, 90 games total. If they allowed one team to blow from the bottom of ruby all the way to diamond, that’s 15 games. They’d use the safety barrier of diamond to boost the other team. That’s 30 games total, no pip loss. Not only that, since the games are rigged, they’d probably blow through them very quickly and finish at least one division per night.

They should probably cut it from ranked if only exploiters are using it.

hmmm you are right, but how will the diamond team vs the ruby team after wards ?

Maybe instead of Nerfing DH, just leave it alone and give us the following amulet:

He’s complaining about the amount of effects that proc without the player doing anything, like the endure pain trait.

I think the reason they exist is because it makes beginners able to compete instead of just insta-exploding.

- 3 is stupid because some players in your team may have a much higher MMR than they deserve, and they drag down your team and causes your team to lose horribly, how would you feel ? -1 is for any loss is fine.

+ 1 for a win is stupid, especially if you fought against a team with higher MMR players.

there should be more pips won if fought and won against teams with more higher MMR players.

So if I tank my MMR whenever I hit a new tier/division I’ll get free 5 pip wins? Sounds healthy for the game.

if you tank your MMR, you will lower your team ’s overall MMR, resulting in the other team have a lower MMR as well.

if match making is working as intended, both teams would have similar MMR and results would be -1 or +1 most of the time.

Because with this system they would get to legend within day or two while soloq players will take ages to get there due to how system works (forced 50/50 w/l ratio).

but if they have high MMR then they would only get +1 pip from wins if the other team have lower MMR right ?

if your team lose:
-1 pip and try harder next time !

if your team win:
+1 both teams of players have similar MMR
+2 other team have a bit more slightly higher MMR players
+3 other team have even more higher MMR players
+4 other team have much more higher MMR players
+5 other team have really much more higher MMR players

otherwise, using s1 match making is just pure kitten.

perhaps i was not very clear in my first post. the extra pips +2 ~ +5 are only awarded if your team won a fight against a team with more players that are higher MMR than your team.

well actually “fighting off points” is not match manipulation especially if your team control the point nearby and you simply “fought off point” to quickly kill the opponent before he / she can actually reach your point.

I USED … not played against … USED Guardian in pvp with a trap medi Longbow build and I felt like a GOD (sadly).. there was probably no reason for anyone to even come near me since once the traps hit them they either melted, or if they could get away, I would simply shoot them once for the kill and reset my traps for the next person. Something that happen in about 7 out of 10 matches is that the other team would simply give up on the point and not even bother since the build (which I have seen others using) is insanely cheese. Even if my health was dropped down to half or a bit lower .. I would somehow heal to 100% in the blink of an eye, meaning that my opponent who put in the effort and got me down low, while getting low himself will not recover his HP as quickly as I will and will most likely lose the fight. Not to mention one match where I tried a Burn Dragonhunter Build, same thing happened.. no one botered going to the point after a while and with only 7 stacks of burn, if my opponent was unable to cleanse, it would only take 4 to 5 ticks to down them. There is no way this is Balanced in the slightest.

I’m making this Topic because I like a challenge and I like a fight, not having the upper hand simply because my class is, without a doubt, stronger and simply makes no sense to fight.

i think many people that complain dh are too powerful are mainly hotjoin players.

i just did my pvp daily in hotjoin just now, the opponents died very quickly to my dragon hunter.

i was using paladin’s amulet and not even marauder amulet. 0 ferocity so critical only hits for the base 150% damage.

OMG, confirmation right here, DH so OP he can 100-0 players with paladin’s. No ferocity necessary!!!!

weird dream i had.

i was playing pvp on the forest of beasts map.

but near the mid point, down the keep there, the tombstones or closed off crypts there, got some renovation.

you can pick up some kind of artifact at the surface, then take the artifact and enter the crypt, go deep down inside, drop the artifact, to disable the opponent’s home capture point.

disable as it, they cannot capture it at all, the point is neutralized permanently, well, for some time i guess.

i think i woke up before i got to know what happened.

Great Idea for Conditions. We need more.

the bell as an important landslide mechanic is fine.
keep it that way.

also, mid does not have direct access to the bell, keep it this way.
mid is basically a shared home in this map since going to mid is faster than going to home.

people need to learn to ignore mid and play and hold sides and rush bell in this map.

yeah i think they (anet) would deem this tanky because it has both toughness and healing power.

cleric 1200 healing 900 toughness
crusaders 1050 toughness 560 healing
both were removed because both have both healing and toughness
seems like having both healing and toughness is a big no no for them (anet)

having both healing and some (560) vitality seems fine though
menders 1050 healing 560 vitality
sages 560 healing 560 vitality

560 toughness
560 precision
^ seems fine to me.

I like it except the approach from spawn to mid is easier on blue team imo…

well, mid is not really important in that map.
it is better to hold both sides instead.

If I play against you I’ll be sure to keep mid since it’s not important to you lol

sure, hold mid while our team holds both sides.
you do realize both sides have a direct and faster path to the bell while mid does not ?
