however, like Agemnon said, some team compositions are much more better suited for team battles, and we will very likely to lose the initial mid battle.
in one of my season 3 battles (i only had real 3 battles in season 3 so far though, the first one is a laggy desertion so it does not really count) we got the temple map.
i discussed with my team mates,
in the end, we decided to open with 1 home (mesmer portal) while 4 mid,
even though we all know the other team got both druid and tempest (well, we see a ranger and elementalist on their rooster, most people own should hot anyway and be using elite specs) anyway, 2 support.
so the initial mid fight kinda went south, we got killed off one by one, but the other team took a bit too long in taking us out, our mesmer got home, and then went to decap and cap far as well.
so we got both sides while they got mid, the points were kinda tied but we were leading by a few points.
after that, the other team kinda dunno how to divide up their forces. they left 2 at mid, only to be slaughtered by us.
seeing that we got mid, i figured that they would wanna try to take home since we dun have anyone at home, so i ran the best i could (imma testing a vanilla hambow phalax str warrior) up the stairs to check home, saw a scrapper slowing making his way towards our home.
i went to engage the scrapper, the scrapper threw a few attacks at me while keep on going to our home. another team mate of mine came along, the 2 of us murdered the lone scrapper who was assaulting our home, we never lost the home cap.
we kept on murdering them since.
yeah they may have won the initial mid fight, but we got sides during the early phase of the battle too.
we proceed to cap every stillness and tranQ, the game ended 500 – 19x i think we rekt them good.
anyway, going far is fine as long as you dun die there and feed points to the other team.

Its Base damage is decent with power.
It inflicts 4 Condis: blind(5), cripple(8s), 4 bleed (8s), 4 confusion(4s).
Dazes for 1s.
Is a blast finisher.
5s cool down.
and has some extra range, mobility and tracking on it.
High spamability with cool down reduction(3 1/4s) and burst mastery and of course 3 condis cleanse with ire.Warrior finally coming back into meta is a great thing but this skill is a bit too insane.
Daze duration should be reduced for sure and either a removal of the multiple condi stacks, durations or an entire condi altogether.
its not overkill since it is very easily negated by evade spam, block spam, blind spam, etc.

errr no, if you lose a lot, you will be very much more likely to be partied together with other team mates who also happened to have lost a lot.

Does this work? If I lose a bunch in a row can I get a win streak? I’ve played almost 30 matches now and gained a total of 3 pips even though i’ve won 16 of those matches.
you do realize that your new team mates will have lower MMR as well.

played 4 games so far
1st game, tried druid, bad start, some lag, gw2 client disconnects me, i didn’t go back
2nd, 3rd, 4th games, tried a vanilla warrior, testing out phalanx strength, 3 wins, 4 pips
well i am taking it very slow and so far the experience has been good to me.
i like them esl thingie.
with that comes the call of the mist buff which gives extra 100% pvp magic find , etc.
nice boons for casual pvp.

so far i only played 3 games in season 3, well, 4, but the 1st game was a desertion since gw2 client refused to cooperate with my internet service provider. my 2nd, 3rd, 4th games were wins so i’m at 4/20 emerald now. i got to ruby in both season 1 and season 2.

if ur MMR is real low, u get real low MMR team mates as well.
unlike in season 1, if u r lucky, you could get a high MMR team mate to carry you.

I am happy that its harder to win. Maybe people in the higher tiers deserve it.

people complain about solo queue often but can come up with even more reasons for not wanting to party up.
If you have resistance up you still have the condition applied to you correct? What i’m saying is when you are attacked with a condition the word Immune would pop up like block does and the condition would fail completely.
This would allow condi builds to continue without nerf but you would have a better defense
that will not happen.

season 1 was good, season 2 was kitten, season 3. I think I’ll just throw in the towel now. also the games feeling more and more clunky. I click skills that don’t happen, or I stop moving after using one, or get stick for no reason. It all just adds up to torture. never mind the MMR. Screen shot of my last game. it was a close game, that is not my problem, it’s the 2 emerald in my game……. it’s just a sick tormented joke.

If u lost that match was prob because of a mistake from someone on your team or a better call from enemy team. But your match was definitely fair. Look at that score.
many people on the forums like to blame their close games loses on the match making however they fail to realize close games means the match making is working well.
personally i hate close games especially when my team loses.
i prefer easy blow out games when my team rekts the other team.
500 – 400 ++ means close games, means the match making is working.

Crossing divisions as a result of the new season placement system will properly progress the division Ascension achievements in addition to automatically distributing all rewards that you would get for crossing those divisions normally. Sorry for any confusion, folks. Again, you will get proper division crossing progress on your Ascension meta achievement if you begin in either Emerald or Sapphire at the start of this season.

season 1 is raw 50/50
we can get both higher mmr and lower mmr players in both teams.
i.e.
red – blue
10 – 10
8 – 8
5 – 5
1 – 1
2 – 1
season 2 is similar MMR for one team, versus other team not so.
an extreme case:
red – blue
10 – 1
10 – 1
10 – 1
10 – 1
10 – 1
season 3 we get both
i.e.
red – blue
8 – 8
8 – 9
9 – 8
8 – 9
9 – 8
something like that maybe.
otherwise, one team gonna have slightly higher overall MMR.

We’ve added an automatic division-placement system to PvP Leagues for Season 3. A player’s starting division for each new season will be determined by their performance from the previous season.

well for the proposed pvp meat amulet, paranoids may think it is similar to dire or mercenary but high toughness without extra vitality means the user will quickly melt under heavy condition pressure while having both 900 power and condition damage means lower than average damage output when compared against other pvp amulets.

so when are they gonna fix pvp wanderer’s amulet name ?
the stats are very different from pve wanderers stats.
it is the same situation during the first beta weekends back in year 2012, pvp knights (vitality power precision) and pve knights (toughness power precision) have different stats.
after a very, very long time, pvp knights was finally renamed into pvp barbarian.
it has been a very confusing ordeal for me, for many months, before the name change.
everyday i struggle because of the same name but different stats.
to fix this, and to help other people who suffer similarly as myself,
i propose to rename pvp wanderers amulet into pvp pestilence amulet.

there is great build diversity in hotjoins.
especially those players that you kill over and over again.

The following changes will take effect on May 17:
- Mercenary Amulet will no longer be available for use.
- The cost for Viper’s Amulet will be eliminated. Anyone who had purchased this amulet prior to May 17 will be refunded the full purchase price via in-game mail.
On a related note, the balance team has been keeping an eye on how things have settled after the April 19 release, and you can expect some adjustments to some outlier skills with the launch of PvP League Season 3. More news on that front next week.
i demand a replacement amulet for the short demise of mercenary amulet.
no, making viper free will not cut it.
all four stats are fine.
all four stats with both 560 vitality and toughness are fine.
the problem lies with the abundance of defensive abilities, not the stats from the amulets.
on crit blood won’t even heal yourself.
on swap leeching will heal i think just no damage.
also they didn’t even bother to state in patch notes that they fixed the signet bug.
How about bringing back Soldier? Paladin, precision isn’t worth much without ferocity. Soldier was a good power, vitality, toughness amulet. Or getting rid of Cleric, that amulet gives Elementalists a far more annoying healing ability than the defence Soldier gives to classes.
