pls rework berserker’s sword primal burst flaming flurry it cannot hit anything moving in pvp.

well i know the pvp team cannot change skills but at least they could pass the message to those who do.

i only read the parts i am interested in.

but you were interested in the new mini map pings… so you must have read it… :p

on topic they are great, though so far very under-used but with any luck they will be used well once the new season starts to improve communication between players

hmmm say, what do you think the 4 new different mini map pings could be used for?

we all had been using the default red circle flashing for more than 3 years already.

anyone realized that there are 4 new mini map pings for us to use ?

if we hold down shift and click and hold on the mini map, we can choose 4 different icons to ping on the mini map !

well, there is a total of 5 icons now, the default one is the middle one,

there’s a green correct arrow, a red wrong arrow, a yellow exclamation arrow.
and a green four arrows pointing towards the middle.

actually, when did we have those 4 icons ?

not having to hold down a button just to move your camera is amazing. aiming matters. gw2 its all auto aim. .

do you realize gw2 has an “action cam” update that does what you mentioned?
- does not need to hold down mouse to move camera
- aim with mouse, not auto aim

Mechanics are fine, but I really don’t enjoy the map for much of the same reason why I don’t find WvW very enjoyable. You just spend too much time running around. =/

1 fast roamer to run between “home” and “far”

open with 3 “far” and 2 “home” then
hold “home” and “far” and
zerg bell when its available

as mention by someone else earlier, the “mid” point is actually much closer than the “home” point. however, the “mid” point does not have fast access to the bell unlike “home” and “far” so holding the sides is better in this map.

I’m not asking for a strat, so I don’t really understand why you quoted my post…
If you genuinely meant to reply to me, try reading what I posted again.

you wrote “You just spend too much time running around.” so if your team just focus on holding down “far” and “home” as in the “sides” you would only need to run between “home” and “far” and “bell” when it is available.

Recharge Reduction per Foe Interrupted: 5%

boons can be very easily removed, corrupted or stolen.

resistance does not protect the warrior from direct damage and control effects.

can we have some 10 vs 10 capricorn hotjoin maps ?

or 8 vs 8

since it is basically a 4 capture points map every time the bell point becomes available for capture.

if 5 vs 5 = 3 capture points
that means 1.67 players per capture point
hmmm 1.67 × 4 = 6.68 round up 7

well maybe 8 vs 8 would be more suitable.

but could anet host at least two 8 v 8 or 10 vs 10 revenge of the capricon maps in hotjoin ???

it would be pure chaotic madness again just like the first year !

there are some people who will literally taunt you into reporting them.
happened to me once.

throw bolas for warrior. People have so much runninkittening passives that when you try to entangle someone with a 1 tangle they just run right threw it like your skill wasnt even there.

throw bolas need to be rework so it behaves like impale.

a 4 second “bola-ed” irremovable"effect" that pulses for 4 seconds, each second
1. applies 4 seconds immobilize
2. removes immobilize condition
continues for 4 seconds

so after 4 seconds, the immobilize condition is automatically removed, but during the 4 seconds, they will be, strictly immobilized. well, some warrior’s with warrior’s sprint may be able to change their location a bit, but they will still be immobilized nonetheless. i will talk about this in more detail in my new topic.

Or kick with its small range and incredible low damage. Heres the the best part, its cd is i believe is 12 sec which is the same as revenants unrelenting assault. One skill is a teleport, stakcs might and does 5-8k damage in PvP and the other gives a knockdown and 300 damage lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you guys could share some other ones i would enjoy reading them because i wont play around with all the classes to find all the useless traits and skills.

yeah the warrior physical skills are really lackluster, just terrible! they did not even bother to update the physical mastery trait. or peak performance.

all right you just inspired me to start a topic to revise the warrior physical skills.

the bulls charge cool down reduce is a nice start, but they could do more.

hopefully, by next year, the next season (year 2, season 1 perhaps?) warrior physical skills could be more useful.

Guardian
Guardians are receiving a few reworks and changes to their baseline abilities. We felt it was odd to have heavily incorporated symbols to the profession and its traits but not have symbols available with all weapon builds. Thus, both sword and scepter are now receiving symbols, with both also receiving a few other changes to improve quality of life. In other areas, we looked to make quality-of-life improvements to baseline weapon and utility skills.

Faithful Strike: This skill now strikes up to three targets, with the healing aspect only activating on the first outgoing hit. Base healing per level has been increased by 20%. The healing contribution has been increased by 39%. The healing radius has been increased from 120 to 180.

Protector’s Strike: In addition to granting protection, this skill now grants aegis to nearby allies when it ends via block. Protection is no longer applied in a radius if the guardian does not block anything.

Mighty Blow: This skill no longer places the guardian in midair, is now affected by quickness and slow, and can be used in conjunction with Judge’s Intervention.

Sword Wave: This skill no longer fires missiles but instead delivers three melee attacks at different angles, with all three attacks hitting enemies directly in front of the guardian. The number of targets this skill can strike has been reduced from 5 to 3 per attack.

Flashing Blade: This skill has been renamed Symbol of Blades and now drops a symbol at the guardian’s feet, applying fury to nearby allies for 1.5 seconds. Initial impact damage has been increased to normal symbol values.

Zealot’s Defense: The missile velocity of this skill’s projectiles has been increased by 33%. Reduced the variability of the angle that projectiles are launched at by 50%, which enhances their overall accuracy.

Zealot’s Speed: The health threshold of this skill has been increased from 50% to 75%.
Orb of Wrath: The aftercast of this skill has been reduced by 0.16 seconds. The range of this skill has been reduced from 1200 to 900.

Smite: This skill has been renamed Symbol of Punishment and now drops a symbol at the target location that deals damage to the area every 1 second, additionally delivering smaller Smite attacks. The Smite damage interval has been increased from 0.25 seconds to 0.5 seconds and will persist as long as the symbol is active (meaning more strikes when the Writ of Persistence trait is active). The range of this skill has been reduced from 1200 to 900.

Banish: The recharge of this skill has been reduced from 25 seconds to 18 seconds.

Signet of Resolve: The recharge of this skill has been reduced from 40 seconds to 35 seconds.

Sanctuary: Increased the radius of this skill from 120 to 180. Increased the base healing per pulse by 60%. Increased the healing attribute contribution by 275%. The recharge of this skill has been reduced from 90 seconds to 75 seconds. Fixed a bug that caused Sanctuary to last longer than intended when not affected by traits. The number of enemies that can be knocked back by this skill has been reduced to 10; Sanctuary will disappear after the tenth enemy is knocked back.

Hallowed Ground: The recharge of this skill has been reduced from 80 seconds to 60 seconds. Updated the skill description to properly reflect the skill’s functionality.

Signet of Mercy: The casting time of this skill has been reduced from 3.75 seconds to 3 seconds. The aftercast has been reduced by 0.25 seconds.

Shield of Courage: With the Indomitable Courage trait equipped, this skill will now grant stability when the skill begins rather than when it completes.

Virtue of Resolve: This skill now removes up to 2 conditions from the guardian baseline. This effect has been carried through to Wings of Resolve as well.

Spear of Justice: In addition to burning, this skill now cripples tethered enemies for 1.5 seconds.

Communal Defenses: Fixed a bug in which aegis could be applied to infinite targets.

Master of Consecrations: This trait now grants 2 seconds of increased consecration time instead of an ambiguous 20%.

Supreme Justice: Aspects of this trait have been merged into the grandmaster trait Permeating Wrath. In addition to burning enemies in the area, this trait now allows Virtue of Justice to cause burning more frequently. Increased burning duration has been removed. This trait has been renamed Virtuous Solace.

Virtuous Solace: Drop a Merciful Sanctuary at your location when your health reaches the 25% threshold. This trait functions similarly to Sanctuary and is classified as a consecration, but it has less active time and slightly less base healing value.

Glacial Heart: The recharge of this trait has been reduced from 15 seconds to 10 seconds. The damage of this trait has been increased by 33%.

Heavy Light: Deflecting Shot now knocks enemies back a distance of 300 on each hit, with no internal cooldown. Gain stability for 6 seconds when knocking back, launching, or pulling an enemy. The stability aspect has a 10-second internal cooldown.

Monk’s Focus: Fixed a bug in which Renewed Focus had a longer cooldown than intended if the player went into a downed state while casting Renewed Focus.

Bow of Truth (Command): Increased the base healing per hit by 3 so that this skill no longer heals for 0 when scaled into low-level areas.

Eh I disagree… 2 bunker builds, 2 dps, and a float is all you need for this match. Bell is designed to pull people off the points to encourage turnover… but so far hasn’t been a game ender/changer.

capturing the bell in a row gives more points so i think the bell is very important. i think.

1st = 25
2nd = 50
3rd = 75

25 score is like, worth 5 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 50 seconds,
hold 2 points for 26 seconds
hold 3 points for 18 seconds

so if the bell point is contested, and we can 3 cap them for at least 18 seconds and avoid any deaths, then the 25 points can sort of be negated ? bonus points if we kill some of them too ?

50 score is like, worth 10 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 100 seconds,
hold 2 points for 50 seconds
hold 3 points for 34 seconds

however, if the other team has already captured the bell one time, the second time they capture it, they will earn 50 points !!! and that seems a bit more heavy, as we will need to 3 cap them for at least 34 seconds to break even !

75 score is like, worth 10 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 150 seconds,
hold 2 points for 76 seconds
hold 3 points for 50 seconds

if they already captured 2 times, the third time capture will net them 75 score !!!

4th team in a row yields 100 team score.

if the losing team can’t contest the bell point for 18 / 34 / 50 seconds while 3 capping them it is impossible for them to make a comback at all.

i thought i could log in other characters to play some pve but noooooo the new queue from anywhere feature dragged all my other characters back straight into the pvp match.

i had to do other things before i could go back to serve my remaining dishonor time of about 8 minutes.

Well… behind your dishonor stack, you have active (that decay fast) and none active dishonor that can stack a lot.

Do that many times in a night, you are sure to get stuck in MMR hell for some weeks or even months.

Your choice.

it is unranked, not ranked.
unranked MMR and ranked MMR are different.

as long as i do it in moderation it is fine.

for ranked, my record was

some wins, some loses, some wins, some loses, etc
11 wins in a row
3 desertions in a row (since i was at 20/25 sapphire)
9 wins in a row
retire from season 3 since i had enough

seems like the 3 desertions in a row did not affect my MMR that much as i was able to get 9 wins in a row after that.

switching to a different character would always bring you back to the match, this is nothing new, how else do you think people switched classes at the start of games?

not really. previously, we need to be in the pvp lobby in order to get back into the game.

previously, i can do pve stuff if i wish to desert the match.

now i can’t.

Rather than adding a check box per game mode (Conquest, Stronghold), I think it’d be better to add check boxes per map, for all game types (including Courtyard). This way, you could select the map(s) you want to play in, and play with people sharing a similar interest. This mechanism could be split between Unranked / Ranked – i.e. offer only competitive Conquest maps for ranked games.

For those willing to try the new Capricorn: some guilds have graciously opened their arenas to all players, and you can freely join. Just check the list of custom arenas, ordering by map. Since it’s hotjoin-like, there’s no matchmaking, you may have more than 5 players per team, and players may not seek to play Conquest – but you can play without interruption and without queue.

the main problem is not trying out the map but the time limited achievements that is only available in unranked with map voting roulette.

Remove the timer on match ending pls!

It’s gotten to the point where I no longer care that I am semi-AFKing the none-Capricorn maps. Like, I don’t even feel bad for the people I end up with anymore.

If the achievements are only limited for a sort time, they should remove the random map selection from the equation. It’s technically possible, however unlikely, that someone never even gets to play the map at all.

Wait… you are semi-afking if the map isn’t capricorn? Because of the APs and out for a limited time? You might want to re-check the wording:

  • Complete a new series of limited-time, Capricorn-specific achievements to celebrate the release of the map.
  • These achievements will only be available from now until the end of the next PvP League season.

That means 3 months since the season runs for 2 months at a time. Just a heads up if that is the case.

while it is true that there are 3 months remaining, however, as time passes, more and more people may have finished the achievements and will be less likely to vote for the pirate map, making finishing the achievements even harder.

because u can land a level 3 combustive shot, then sundering leap or head butt or signet of fury to immediately fill up your adrenaline, go berserk and fire scorched earth immediately, oh the burns!

preferably head butt since your victim would be dancing in flames.

i only played 1 match and the map feels quite large to me. i wonder if the original map is this large.

capturing the bell in a row gives more points so i think the bell is very important. i think.

1st = 25
2nd = 50
3rd = 75

25 score is like, worth 5 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 50 seconds,
hold 2 points for 26 seconds
hold 3 points for 18 seconds

so if the bell point is contested, and we can 3 cap them for at least 18 seconds and avoid any deaths, then the 25 points can sort of be negated ? bonus points if we kill some of them too ?

50 score is like, worth 10 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 100 seconds,
hold 2 points for 50 seconds
hold 3 points for 34 seconds

however, if the other team has already captured the bell one time, the second time they capture it, they will earn 50 points !!! and that seems a bit more heavy, as we will need to 3 cap them for at least 34 seconds to break even !

75 score is like, worth 10 player kills, or
hold 1 point for 150 seconds,
hold 2 points for 76 seconds
hold 3 points for 50 seconds

if they already captured 2 times, the third time capture will net them 75 score !!!

anyway, does this map favor mobility heavy professions ?

900 precision

there is no healing or vitality.

crusaders is
1050 power
1050 toughness
560 healing
560 ferocity

it was removed because it had both toughness and healing.

cleric is
1200 healing

Well, it’s probably a bit early to give proper feedback, I guess. I’ve played a couple of hours on it, it definitely felt great, big with good kiting/mobility options, a simple mechanics. I’ll play it more for sure.
