I guess it will, because changing the map reward system is such a super generic gameplay system.
Why should this work only in HoT. From what I have understood from the article is, that they changed the whole system and not just made changes for only the HoT maps.
They clearly speak in the blog about it, how for exampel the new system works on also older maps like the Silver Waste, which is naturally a map, that you can visit and explore, also without owning HoT.
So I think its pretty sure and non misunderstandable, that the new system will work just simply for everyone, regardless if now HoT owner, or not.
I didn’t ask about which maps it will affect, as that is clearly stated. I wondered if it will be only available to those that own the expansion. If the account will trigger the reward (bouncy chest/whatever form it takes).
I imagine not, but the article does not say one way or the other. And Masteries and Specializations are HoT-specific.
Yeah, because those thigns that you list up there are part of the expansions MAIN FEATURES
ANet showed with the expansion trailer also alot of small changes, like the currently changed change of the Stability System or the upcoming change of the Defiance System of Enemies, where they will change that system to that new “Break Bar”, which qwill also be a thing, that won’t be exlusive for HoT only, but will also be something with that Anet will actualize the whole game just via a normal Patch for everyone
There is no reason for why anet should make the Map reward System Redesign out of a sudden a HoT exlusive Feature, when it is absolutely NOT part of the expansions Main Features at all, but just a part of many far more minior game improvements, that just happen to touch parts of the games more overall gameplay systems.
Main Features of Heart of Thorns, which are 100% dead sure exlusive to the expansion are only:
Stronghold and the new WvW map will be avail for everyone with or w/o the xpan. Basically Rev and everything that requires u to go to the new meguuma zone will require xpan. Whatever revamp they do to other zones may not need xpan but we’ll see in due time.

It would shoot shotguns out of it that shoot 8 daggers from them.
Daggers what were simultaneously both electric and on fire. They would also explode on impact.
…and release nanomites that will eat your target’s brain. Then you can mind control them ones your target suffered multiple nanomite infection.
Hope the devs are taking notes. Infact, let the nanomites cause the target to /say our buff, bug fix and new skill requests as well as send the devs mail before they self destruct the target’s entire body. For example an infected player would say “Fix Last Refuge!” in chat while running towards their ally and then exploding and killing them both.

Only way to make Venoms annihilate people without making you a fragile worthless little duckling during CDs is to completely drop Venom Share and leave allies to suffer in their own filth. Taking both master traits hurts you far too much for solo play or even group play if you’re focused. I personally prefer to use Bountiful Theft with it. Wish they’d consolidate a lot of these venom passives cuz they require far too many traits. But yeah it’s pretty strong but you’re going to need a stunbreak and way of removing condi as well. You’re basically a peskier version of Signet Thief.

That’s me. And honestly i could care less if they make me get rid of the skin as its not that great anyway. I noticed it was in my wardrobe and decided to try and skin it, and it worked. No I did not intentionally bug the skins. In fact i played the beta for less than 5 mins before i got bored with rev. I gain no benefits from these skins so if they make me change the skin fine lol. Did I report the bug no, Because I’m still waiting on a response from another issue I’ve had in game

PP is better for pure damage than SB~ when traited properly it does pretty heavy damage~ it’s like a ranged Pistol Whip. The difference is Vital Shot and Body Shot are still awful skills and PP is garbage utility-wise so you go full ini to use Unload forever and you will outDPS melee in a pretty sustained manner. Maybe one day ina few years we’ll have a #2 skill that gives good synergy and an auto attack that isn’t so bad you have to replace it entirely with your dual attack.

It’s not needed and I hate it. I keep forgetting about it when transitioning from pve/wvw to spvp and it’s simply extremely difficult to get use to, even after all this time, because it’s such a massive alteration in gameplay. I was happy last week when testing a DD build on mist dummies and saw revealed was normal 3 seconds and thought they reverted it and I missed the news. Then I went into a match and died a few times before realizing it was all a lie. My heart wkittentered so hard.
The Weapon sets were never designed for 4 second reveal and makes all your rotations sloppy, just like Last Refuge wasn’t designed for revealed at all and is broken to hell. Both issues equally add to my distaste in stealth builds.

The problem is they ‘Need’ to address it by adding devourers or crafting recipes for them. And because they need to, they have to, and cuz they have to they are destined to eventually do it. Which means they can’t be thrown away safely.

Was Mugen a GS Thief? I normally wouldn’t care for GS but since I have the Katana it’d be fun naow. I’d still rather have Rifle, Axe or MH Torch though.
I love Charr’s Rifle Animation~ I use Fractal Rifle and it leaves a swirl of mist when he spins it around rapidly when I spam sheath/unsheath it. My Thief’s a fluffy Sylvari tho and isn’t blessed with custom animations but it’d give me a nice reason to use that skin on him since he could never get a Fractal drop he could use.

I have King Toad Sword, Illex and Mistforged Hero Sword~ those my current favz. Dat Katana is pretty sexy though and may replace’em. Not much of a Rapier fan.

So they were all dependent on your reflect wall? Sounds like you were the only one who didn’t abandon any aspect of team support. Many classes have walls, grp heals, buffs and so on. I do most everything on Thief and play the way I’m supposed to generally and won’t be stacking or eating anything. Molten Duo is one of my fav bosses because of how easy it is to survive as a Thief fighting it the normal way. ;o I also like the fight in general. One of the best LS.

Over time Anet has released quite a few new animal models as Mini Pets that don’t exist in-game. I think it’d be more interesting to the overall game to make use of those models by tossing them around the world as ambient critters.
Also is there an ETA yet on the return of Ambient Snakes? =)))

I REALLY REALLY wish they’d at least make the racial starter town clothes into armor skins. I like the Sylvari chest and pants and it could so easilly be a t0 racial armor skin, there’s no way for it to clip with anything.
The whole tonic thing really is pointless though in general since they could just be simple outfits so they can be dyed again.

Well I think the Quaggans are relitivly new to our continent and origionally from the ocean till they were driven from it by the Water Dragon. I guess they haven’t had the time/luck or safety yet to create one. Coddler’s Cove in Timberline Falls I remembered being a relatively safe Quaggan settlement last I been there.

Maybe when Revenant brings Shiro to the world it’ll effect Thieves’ magic after coming in contact with his and their skills will be redesigned to allow Assassin playstyle, including Blocking/Parrying, invulnerability, enchantments, improved durability overall w/o depending on stealth, deep wound, knockdown, direct dmg signet of deadly corruption burst, hexes, stances and so on. Man, why did Assassin’s magic degrade so much over the years? Must be cuz we been away from Cantha and Master Togo’s teachings too long.

I never even do those dailies, because if I don’t feel like going to a zone I don’t feel the need to go to then I’m not going to. Usually only ever finish the spvp and wvw dailies. If 1 single node is too tedious to do why bother? It’s a game~ do what you enjoy and not what feels like a chore.

Thief class so I can survive the hellish world by hiding in stealth all the time and since reality has so many more options I’d have easy access to scissors to trim my armor with.
