But I onry haz 15-17k HP as not entirely GC and full GC Warriors are tanky and can do 1200 range backstab damage w/o needing stealth or flanking and 1shot meh. I dun need nerfed our squishyness is enough sacrifice.
Didn’t catch a screen of the 17k crit Kill Shot. :<
It’s like 2 gold in TP ;/
If Kiel wins I blame it on chinese goldsellers.
I don’t trust her or her corrupt Waypoint Act. :s
I love SAB and I love Jumping Puzzles.
Because it’s one weapon.
My pets need silly hats.
Well just dont eat them.
You can in certain places.
No achievement because Anet doesn’t want to torment its players with Survivor anymore. Sure it was optional but it still had the power to entrap peoples’ minds into an unhealthy obsession. You did win a nice screenshot to keep around though.
The AoEs just don’t generate enough damage to kill me unless billions of them are on me, and it’s too easy to fall back from them. As mentioned I use pack runes, which pretty much keep Fury on me and people around me a lot of the time because those crappy aoes people throw around proc it a lot.
Damage wise I total agree with you there while sb dmg may almost be comparable its dependent on hitting someone with clusterbomb. People can actually run faster than that skill. That being said sb is still a great weapon and is very useful in a variety of situations.
I cannot think of any situation that SB is a great weapon. When it was 1200 range, it is the obvious choice when trying to stay at a good distance. Now that they are both 900 range, P/P is my first choice.
Well in WvW my SB #1 bounces around people for like 1200-1600+ damage a hit and has a high chance of Fire sigilings all over the place getting me tons of loot bags. Not to mention the 4-5k aoe clusterbombs, weakness and survival utility. Pistol being single target does absolute crap damage compared to SB and doesn’t really synergize with anything or keep you alive.
I agree with SB being better in spreading damage. However, with the same range with P/P at 900, you are well within range of the opposition’s AoE damage. Yes, clusterbomb deals more damage, I agree, but again, the short range doesn’t allow you to maintain that damage anymore. In WvW situation, neither weapon shines, that’s why I said that we’re better off manning a siege engine.
If you enjoy getting AoE’d for the sake of loot, then that’s your playstyle and if it works for you then good.
…doesn’t really synergize with anything or keep you alive.
Not sure what you mean here since P/P can drop a combo field that helps with survivability specially in a group (keeping me and the group alive), while SB has none.
Actually I love bathing in AoEs because of my Pack runes. I just heal myself and sneak attack someone and keep going. Another thing about SB is the sneak attack is the biggest middle finger in the game. It’ll screw people over so fast who overextend or fall behind.
I find SB combo field better for support. Blind cost a lot of ini, but Vuln can be ultra spammed, and Cluster Bomb blast can do all kinds of helpful things with other classes. Spam aoe heal with Ranger springs, spread retaliation everywhere with Guardians and so on. Can also aoe stealth people if you use D/P with it.

People complain because they are too lazy to learn how to actually play better, or remap their skills/controls to allow them to react better. Part of being a good Thief is being able to execute everything you want to immediately when you want to, while moving. Always moving. It will make any class better to do this but it’s a massive requirement for Thief. So you’re going to have to catch up to the skilled Thief players.
I take out a lot of people who are simply too slow or look like they’re clicking their skills or something stupid. Turn off double tap dodge and bind it somewhere you can always hit with thumb/pinky, max your camera speed and hotkey everything close. All our weapons sets suck massively probably because Anet is too scared to fix/buff us because more QQing would happen if we were more viable.
Go to the mesmer forum, they hold the belief that they have the most complicated class in gaming history.
Mesmer is the biggest easymode since I can literally do nothing but load a random tournament build and then mash buttons w/o ever reading my skill/trait descriptions to win. In GW1 it’d be more true though but mainly because interrupting enemies wasn’t an easy feat.

Do people not realize you can still attack a thief even if they’re stealthed? If they are a backstab thief, you know EXACTLY where they’re gonna be when you see them stealth, so start swinging. Plant AoEs around you. Do SOMETHING besides just stand there complaining that thieves are OP because they are so predictable in their stealth/backstab routine. If you know what they’re going to do, stop them from doing it. That’s always been the name of the game in GW2
not everyone uses a sword and a lot of attacks require a target.some aoe dont work without target. and blindly swinging without seeing numbers, makes this even more a guessing game. when thief gets hit he should be revealed.
You don’t need to see numbers, your #1 skill rotation will trigger. I’ve killed dozens of thieves while they’re in stealth with that alone, especially on my warrior with his OP sword auto attack.
mine wont hit without a target.scepter and staff requires a target
What class? Elementalist? o.O If you’re Necromancer you’re actually a heavy counter to Thief and shouldn’t be having a lot of trouble.

Just wait till the patch happens.
Ew… A thief wearing plated armor? No thank you.
Except for the Heavy armor that looks like Medium, but is heavy anyways just to further spoil Anet’s sugarbaby professions. :/
People who double tap dodge are the kinda baddies who QQ constantly about Thieves killing them and are horrible at Jumping Puzzles.
My dodge is on Ctrl.
Totally untrue. I use thieves to wipe my shoes on, after I’m done filleting them.
Totally untrue if you use double tap. You’re probably just running into double tap to dodge Thieves, clickers or keyboard turners.
I don’t like/use facebook or twitter. I find them generally pointless. If my friends want to tell me something they can call me or use skype. o.o I’d rather they put info on their main website/forums.
Just ask yourselves if you really want to elect a fancy cat with a lead designer in his pocket. We’ll just have double up our support for Kiel on SATURDAY.
Brought to you by the people against smelly animals in office.
This man speaks the truth.
Remind me which Edge of Destiny member screwed over the others…oh right…the human -_-
Kiel would run away and leave us all to die if Kralkatorrik attacked Lion’s Arch. Then she’d blow up all the spare boats so we couldn’t escape.
People who double tap dodge are the kinda baddies who QQ constantly about Thieves killing them and are horrible at Jumping Puzzles.
My dodge is on Ctrl.
yes .
It’s cuz Anet traffics everyone to Lion’s Arch. The Grove is my favorite city and has THE BEST layout for crafting.
How about staying on topic and talk about the charr armors? I didn’t create this thread to discuss trench coats. Thank you.
But they look awful on Charrs too. All stretched and tangling with tail and making you trip. God forbid your toe claw snags on it during combat. >.<
GW1 assassin armor was “blech” as with most of GW1s armor. As for Charr, the new armor in the sPvP lockers still has all the problems we come to expect. Oh god…
Subjective. I happen to like many of the Assassin armors, even the plain jane beginners armor. Liked Rit kurzick 15k a lot too. Luxon 15k Necro is on par with some of the best looking armors in any game imo.
Granted, there were many armors I didn’t like at all…so guess what, I didn’t buy them.
Bring on the armor. If we could only get capes ‘n’ cloaks. Hooded robes (think sith/jedi robes) that the hoods don’t make your hair disappear and I’ll be a happy camper for years to come.
The Kurzick and Luxon armor was my favorite for Assassin. Having no skirt dragging you down and getting caught in windows was f***ing awesome too!!!! OMFG IT FELT SO GOOD NOT HAVING A SKIRT.
My Necromancer summons a void inside the warhorn, creating a gate into the Locust realm. Then he uses sound magic to mess with their senses and make the enemy look like corn to lure them out and into our world to feast. Unfortunately they can’t survive in our atmosphere very long and eventually disintegrate.
They had more practice for the 2nd one. IMO ours was on the right track but they shoulda made a sexy retro live action trailer like Super Adventure Box’s.
Please buy more gems, OP. Help Anet fund Cantha expansion.
I still use Dancing Dagger sometimes, little more often after the ini reduction. It’s a fun skill although I think the 50% dmg decrease was still too excessive. They should boost it a bit or add… torment to it or something? :P Would make P/D more interesting.
Bodyshot on the other hand is a sad, pathetic skill.
“Does that mean more than trench coats and cowboy hats for the medium armor wearers?”
“I’m sure we will expand beyond just that.”
Oh god, please! Gimme some GW1 Assassin armor. /beg
I wish they’d stop focusing everything on LA. I like the Grove a lot more and would love to use the Mystic Forge there and everything else I wanna do in LA there instead.
the medium is great aside from the trenchcoat part, if they removed the coat looking part (bottom half) of that on the sides, and left the bags and the back part that hangs down, it would look better. but aside from that it’s a much better design than other medium pieces
If only the game let us have scissors and I could just cut it off. Where are our options?
I tried it and I never SPvP’d on my Ranger before and was getting 230-250 top scores so something’s working.
I like vote tokens so whatever dude.
I just want normal looking skirtless/trenchcoatless/buttcapeless stuff. :/ They can’t even make skirts that don’t clip with things so why not just create armor without them? They couldn’t make capes w/o them clipping so they didn’t make them at all. Why isn’t that same logic applying here?
Because everyone’s entitled to immediately get every single achievement and new item within the first hour of patch release. If that doesn’t happen they don’t give thanks.

Hey, a veteran FFXI player!
There’s a lot of half naked people of both genders running around FFXIV. Most of which seem to be Mithra. I refuse to use the new names. :P
Words cannot describe how hard I want Braham’s heavy armor.
I hate it because it should be medium. It doesn’t look heavy at all. The Medium looks heavy as **** though.
imo Anet shoulda released swimsuits weeks ago to celebrate the release of the anime; “Free!”
I have not heard of “Free!” but I will agree to any excuse that would result in swimwear being made available.
Let’z go swimmin’
(edited by Doggie.3184)
We first need Maces with a crowbar skin so we can smash locks, Longbows since assassins used them, Shields with a powerful counter like Nine Tailed Strike, Torches so we can rob stores and commit arson and Hobo Thief walking stick staff to beat people with before looking into GS. Mine as well throw in bandit axes too to give that weapon more life.
Dont forget a brick, those are good for smashing windows.
I’d rather have a Van I can drive into store windows and fill with epic booty.
I want my scythe back.
The good ol’ days of the A/D or D/A.
kitten I miss my derv.
They’re scared we’ll create an MTSC style karma farm in GW2 if they give Thief (Assassins) Scythes again..
They said in interview they were going to give us burn condition. Hasn’t happened yet. (along with more mobility)
Feels like something outa Star Wars with my colors. XD
They should just let us skin them onto anything like Radiant/Hellfire. c.c At this point it makes no sense anymore when medium is wearing heavy stuff.
imo Magitech should be Heavy and Braham should be Medium. magitech loosk 100x heavier than it… idc if Braham is a Guardian.
imo Anet shoulda released swimsuits weeks ago to celebrate the release of the anime; “Free!”
I’m never letting someone skip ahead in line of me again, nor am I touching their filthy shopping cart.

Sylvari T2 pants are closest thing. :<
Only human females are allowed sexy armor. Heavy has Seraph-Issued (karma) armor though (which should be medium armor imo) and light gets the “Strong Chestpiece” and Truyere (karma) pants. That’s pretty much it. :o

Capture the point isn’t as fun as deathmatches, GvG, capture the flag or base siege (like fort aspenwood) ;/ Probably my least played type of match in most games, including TF2 as well.
