As I suggested in another thread, ANet can create a few place holder guilds for people to run meta events. The mega server will group the players to the right maps accordingly.
There are consumable in the core game with them you can summon pets or turrets to flight with you for five minutes.
Around 80% of the story was told through the event chains. If you don’t run them with other people, you missed a lot.
Someone would say: “You know; I am rich.”
It was established Pact leader could not come from the orders. Who could lead the future pact is big question mark. Meanwhile Pale Tree help the PC organized the world leader summit. But now everyone now knows Pale Tree lies about her own nature for a long time. Trust and mistrust among the orders and nations probably play a big role in the story development.
Achievements are the hearts in HoT. Instead of showing the hearts above the NPCs, they are now showed on your hero panels under HoT achievements.
ANet could create a few place holder guilds for the mega server to ferry people to specific meta event chains.
It is supposed in Windows you can set pressing the crtl key to flash the mouse cursor and works under GW2. But it doesn’t work for me.

Expecting fast food service in MMO.
After you created your PC in core game, you have to play the first story mission. The same is applied to HoT. But once you finished the first mission, you can go to any new maps without continuing the story. There are NPC vendors in WvW to convert points to randomly unlock hero points in HoT.
I don’t know your ultimate goal. But the ultimate goal for ANet is people play and enjoy the game so that the company can make money from them.
What if Mesmer can use the party UI to keep check the illusion status?
Shirt heal skill is very good in opening fight in melee or disengaging using long range hammer.
Or do you prefer higher level cap and maps with designed for different levels? The traditional approach lead to a lot desert maps in the core game. I prefer using Masteries to open up new areas without left the starting ones as deserts.
Go to Hero panel. Story jounral and activate HoT story line. After that follow the green star.

Grundy is because someone want to get it now. Just play the game, run the event chains and help other players. The xp will come after you.

You can dodge, evade, block, teleport/shadowstep and run. You also have two trait lines give you passive defensive and healing. AoE are your best friend if the mobs charge toward your PC. My rev survive the jungle well even with rampage rare armor.
Another issue about AC is I need to look at the ground in order to cast an AoE around my PC. It is odd. In default mode, skill click a ground targeted AoE skill turn it into PBAoE. It is more natural to me.
I’m a bit surprised the spike hurt Eir that bad when you consider how strong Norn are, and how weak Sylvari are for that matter.
A dev in the other thread explained her lung was supposed to fill with blood but they can’t show it graphically because of the TEEN rating.
Heat and the power supply will be the limiting factor for gaming on laptop.
I finished HoT story without even using Herald. Malays and Jalis SW/SW hammer. The AoE and life steal combo are very good.
I found AC is limiting in term of targeting. If you enable AC, target locked is no longer function as default. You have to use the cross wire to target. That means I can’t attack things on my side while running forward. Or I use AA to attack thing on my left but casting AoE on my right.
HoT world has more details in comparing to EotN.
Armor in GW1 only need to account for two character models.; human male and female. In GW2, there are five races and two genders. It adds extra efforts to design those armor.
GW1 landscape are mainly texture covers the terrain. HoT maps have a lot objects. If you spend time to look around they are amazing.
The fight itself is not difficult. But I got myself killed tons of time because of bugs. In my second run Canach did not give me his shield. If I let myself be killed to reset it, he rez me so quick I have too try it several times.
F5 is also good for spamming Mantra and unloading Signet.
Why not try them yourself? Leveling in GW2 is not a daunting task, although getting elite spec is a different story. Even each class play differently in different roles in game modes. I have Rev and Guardian characters, both have strength and weakness.
For phantasm mantra build, chrono adds very little to it.
Another big balance batch is coming. Figures we have now are not reliable.
SW #2 is good for trigger skill combos.
I use #5 as interrupt and get out of AoE, very strong when it works.

Raids are designed with Masteries in mind. Might be ANet should announce what mysteries are required for the first ring in advance so that people can prepare for it.

If you don’t want to fight them, get the speed mushroom mastery. It give you 40% speed boost and you can run pass a lot of mobs.
I remember reading this: guild hall is balanced around 10 players and would take around nine months to fully upgrade based on the highest rate of mine output. Colin also mentioned in an interview small guild could use Guild Initative Hall for gathering.
If you avoid opening flight with up keep skills, you will notice the energy bar slowly filling up. When it is almost full, it is the time to use skills with high energy cost or up keep skills. After practicing for awhile, you will get the rhythm of your rotation.
Playing an ele is about switching attunements and skill combos whereas rolling a rev is about optimizing the energy bar. Rev is easy to pick up because of the pre made utility bars. But good players would actively manage the energy instead of just spam skills.
I melee a lot with Rev. I intentionally set up skill combo to steal life.
Instead of dodging, you can cast skills grant you evade or stability. But sometimes attacks are unblockable. You. need to read the enemy descriptions. After you locate a safe spot, use your tab key to cycle through the mobs. Read their descriptions, you will get hints what you should do.
My play style in HoT is kinda like playing MGS. Also a lot mobs have high tough but melt pretty quick under condition damages.
I simply don't feel inclined to play HoT

I found HoT is very addictive and don’t want put it down. The world is beautiful. While I collected a mastery point, I saw a water fall in distance with some clouds or fog in front of it. At that moment a player still flied across the sky. Such a beautiful scene. Flying in canopy is also breath taking.
For pocket raptors, set a fire or other combo fields around around yourself. They die pretty quick.

I guess it is for catering the causal players who complaint too many complexities in the original professions.
Increasing damages from first to the last hits while keeping the overall dps seems to be a good compromise for PvP and PvE.
Their compact systems are totally different. Do you know that Star Citizen delayed a lot because CryEngine simplest does not support some of its features and need custom coding. It is not worthwhile for ANet to adopt another engine for their game.
Counter play? Retaliation, fire aura, chaos armor, fire field…
You are not supposed to pass through a wall in WvW. There is why there are path finding in teleport.
An outfit with cape. Problem solved.
